ok look I’m as excited about unraveled as the next person, but, but but but but but I really wish people would stop bashing on Shannon for it since I seriously doubt this was her plan I think it’s most likely that with all the stuff going on in her personal life lately the tenth book could have taken like an extra year which would mean in total it would be a three year gap between book 9 and book 10 obviously Shannon (and probably the publisher that publishes these books) didn’t want this and were starting to feel the pressure so what do they do? Release book 10 as a two parter? Nope. Boom unraveled. Shannon probably just had it as a scene were Sophie read keefes mind and found out whatever was super important that we needed to know and then just moved on but now she’s just taken that scene and bam book. Keep in mind that my knowledge of the publishing process and book writing world is very limited so I’m probably wrong but that’s just my hunch

Feb. 16 News Possibilities

Merch: I saw someone on Reddit suggest this. I doubt this because it would be the worst marketing move in the world when everyone’s excited for the movie/book 10, but it would be unexpected

Book 10 title AND cover: I feel like this is what they want us to expect. It feels like the most logical news if it’s going to be about Book 10. It’s never been released like this before but it could be a special announcement for the last book or smth idk

Movie news: a lot of people have put this down as a possibility but they have really defined what kind of news. I think they most likely announcements are either that it’s gonna be a TV show instead or a casting announcement. Based on interviews, it seems like the movie is still in the scripting stage so those are the only two leaps I can think of. This seems likely since it’s unexpected but anticipated but I feel like Shannon’s team has to know people will be disappointed that it’s not book 10 news.

Delay: I can’t see this happening, there’s no way they’re hyping up for bad news.

Graphic novel pt II: fans know this is coming so I feel like this is not the big thing they’re trying to hype up

Short story compilation: I could see this as a solid possibility. It’s been discussed in the past but nothing official has come of it. It would be a pretty exciting possibility to hype up for three days. I feel like if this was the case, fans would be pretty critical that it’s in the works while there’s no book 10 news and the team might not want to hype that up but who knows

Prequel/sequel/another series: I put this as a seperate category since it would be something that has never been brought up and therefore unexpected and exciting. Same thoughts as the short story collection

The fact that someone found the release date for book 10 (Nov 7) yesterday, I feel like it might be related to book 10 but it’s still hard to say.

It could also be multiple announcements at once but based on previous announcements and the way they’re talking about it seems unlikely

I’ll reevaluate after todays hint

Im pretty sure Book 10 is either gonna be called Unknown or Forgotten. I've got the feeling in my bones.

If, by any chance, Book 10 is focused on Fintan, it can be called pyren.

Although prlly not cuz Fintan deserves his own book and book 10 prolly revolves around Elysian.

Also, if Shannon wants a full circle, she can name the last book (presumably book 10) Keeper Of the Lost Cities.

Honestly, I would prefer the ending line of the whole series is 'Keeper of the Lost Cities.'

Please tell me I'm the only one who was so terrified of ch 169 (opening ch for book 10) that i had to grab a pillow that i can hide myself and was shaking in terror while reading it (maybe not just ch 169 but the whole book 10 in general)

And I'm not that jaded of a New Yorker. Michael and I were sitting calmly beside each other on that bench, Not Kissing, and the next... we were in each other's arms. Kissing. Like two people who had never kissed before. Or, rather like two people who used to kiss a lot, and really liked it, and then had been deprived of kissing each other for a very long time. And then, suddenly, they were reintroduced to kissing and remembered they liked it. Quite a bit. YES. WE KISSED FOR TWENTY BLOCKS. IN BROAD DAYLIGHT. IN AN OLD-TIMEY HORSE CARRIAGE!
