Media aimed at young (and not so young) women/girls (later tweens and older) constantly tell those women that a bad boy can be "fixed" with the love of a good woman.

But guys who are great looking and have a great career or/and charismatic as a young male tend to be not great partners. If a guy can get women easily, he has no impetus to commit. Why would anyone like that be monogamous when such a male can have several different partners with relative ease?

But media geared towards females tells the female that she can change the guy. Even though the girl is only moderately attractive, with huge interests in things that few hetero males care about at all, and even though the guy can and has had many attractive women.

And when the female learns that this isn't true, she feels like it is her fault that the guy isn't "correcting his behavior." Further, the demand that females today be "boss/bad bitches" who are strong, powerful "mary janes" means that they cannot publicly admit they were wrong.

i’m honestly really happy we’ll never know what claudia and madeleine said to each other in their last moments.

claudia’s story is already being used as a plot point for daniel’s book, even her diaries are being analyzed (love daniel but him bicthing about not having the pages on her SA was something else).

and even then it’s not about claudia, it’s about how her existence or what she did impacted lestat, louis or armand, not her.

one of the great tragedies of claudia’s life is that “it was never about her”.

she was never allowed to be her own person.

she was louis’ daughter, made to bring him a sense of comfort and to try and fix a broken marriage.

then she was louis’ sister, his protector.

and then she became the coven’s little bird, condemned to live out her nightmare of forever being seen as nothing more than a mere child.

but madeleine wanted her for who she truly was, she loved claudia for claudia, didn’t want anything from her but just wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.

not even their death was really about them, it was a show for the coven, it was an opportunity for lestat to confront louis (kind of) and for armand to act like the victim (whatever).

so i love that they at least found a sense of privacy in their last moments.

that will forever belong to them and no one else.

madeleine is the first person who picked claudia over someone or something else, she put claudia and their life together, their love first.

and in a fucked up sense i’m glad claudia died knowing that she had met at least one person in her life who made it about her.

as some of you may have heard/seen I am Rayni Aria's biggest goddamn hater

I can't stand her ass

I recently read/listened through Stellarlune for the first time and I hated her the moment I met her. Yes I know the ending of Legacy, I know how it all flows

But I Still can't stand her

Why? Because she is a literal blob of nothingness on the page

Rayni Aria is a character who was once the Neverseen member Glimmer (dumbass name btw) who, allegedly was involved with none of the Neverseen's major plots so far; The Kidnapping of Sophie and Dex, their torture, jumping Sophie, Keefe, and Silveny in Exile, Mt Everest, the gnomes etc etc etc

Allegedly she's had zero part in any of that because they just stick her in a corner and even when Gisela was overthrown she still didn't do diddly squat, she just read medical books. Sure. Okay

Her life previous to joining terrorists willingly was she was just a normal girl with a normal life until people started to whisper speculations about her parents' relationship not being all of what it says on the tin. Her parents are found guilty of messing with the match system to be together and avoid a Bad Match status and are made an example of by banishment But Rayni isn't banished with them as instead her parents leave her with a note and are never heard from again Rayni drops out of Foxfire and lives in a rented room in Mysterium until Gisela finds her and tell her to quit her unemployment and join her emo band Cool, alright. Mid and extremely questionable loyalties. So you'll just go with whoever reaches out their hand first. Good to know

Beyond her frankly uninteresting backstory Rayni's personality is the exact same cookie cutter cardboard cutout mean girl leave no coughed insults unspoke persona that is so old and over used I think Shannon might've actually managed to resuscitate this dead horse. Rayni whines and bitches about how 'no one will trust her' but does absolutely nothing to win herself any favors. Instead she seems more than chipper to keep digging at her own grave so why dont we just drop this whole pointless scene and let her keep on going at it She's boring. She's bland. She's lame. And don't get me started on the weird cat lamp thing I don't know if Shannon was going for 'oh look she likes cats' or 'boo hoo she's so broken and jaded an this lamp is the one thing that lights up her dark dark soul'.

Rayni is weird, her vibes are just so off and so lack luster. Her depth is so shallow I couldn't even soak up a puddle of it with a napkin.

What's the point of bring in a bad guy now good guy/anti hero if all they do is snark in the corner, pet a cat statue, watch the protagonist do jack diddly squat and be like "oh yeah, you're a leader now" girl what??? That entire scene where Rayni unmasks herself was so boring if I cut out the only other emotion I felt while listening which was annoyance. I listened and live reacted to it on discord with some friends as my witness and what even was that scene? Tam is supposedly the one holding the talking stick in the group I guess just because he and Rayni are just such good buds so obviously he should take point (cause no one thinks he's brainwashed) and the entire time Rayni bicthes and moans about how no one trusts her (girl you're wearing a stinky, smelly, raggedy terrorist hood. You couldn't ask to trade it for a less stinky less terrorist embroidered one?) and while yeah people poke holes at her and take small jabs Rayni really seems gung ho with tossing playground responses with 14-16 year olds at her grown ass age. She's one year younger than Wyile and while young adults in their 19/20s arent mature at all it is CRAZY to me that she bitches about no one trusting her and then turns and calls Fitz Sophie's "telepath back-up" I believe the correct quote is "You're basically Sophie's telepath backup" and this is said to Fitz and that was just the most absurd thing I've ever fucking heard spoken by Gisela's fucking lapdog. Fitz is done so dirty in this book and Rayni basically calls Fitz a "backup" like he's a damn battery or some waterboy Sophie only needs to use like an object. The worst part isn't that its the bad guy's lapdog with questionable loyalties that says this. Its the fact that no one stood up for Fitz. No one said anything. And Sophie fucking laughed. She laughed at that. And Fitz is the only one to blame for their fucked up cognate bond, sure. (Biana, FITZ'S FUCKING SISTER also says and does nothing because Biana is just a little poster Shannon sticks on the wall this whole book)

And not to mention that whole bit with Rayni constantly comparing her and Stina as if they're different faces on the same coin. Like you can't sit there in your terrorist onesie and look someone in the face and be like "Yeah your life is gonna be just like mine. Just you wait. It's coming for you. And then, yeah, you'll be just like me. Huff Huff" and then get mad when she doesn't like you in the slightest. Like yeah, I just love sitting in the same room as someone who tells me my life has a timer on my happy days because we're totes twinsies. Shannon should've let Stina punch Rayni because if this snarky little bug really wanted some damn allies wouldn't she want Stina on her side? You know, the most outspoken nay sayer in all of the Lost Cities? If you're gonna bring up your little Gisela Mini-Me act get good Circus-Circus.

If I wanna like Rayni I need more depth than Miss Hardknock Life over here who gets her kicks out of throwing tantrums when people dont trust her while she wears a terrorist hood and gets her kicks out of replying to every petty response.

If I could, I'd rewrite that whole scene because I genuinely love big groups in books and it would be fun to see a diverse group personality wise instead of the same 'bad bitch' boring outline. I can't believe Rayni's 'tough' personality is a facade because she's not just tough to trust. She's tough to want in any way shape or form She's not Heather Chandler, She's not even Heather Duke, she could never even dream of being Regina Georgie. She's so 2D she flies away with a tiny sigh. The whole book could've honestly been the exact same without Rayni around. Erase her and simply have Trix reach out on his own or something and you still have the Esilyum plot intact. Rayni was just there to make a page count for nothing of any great importance.

That's just what I think of Rayni. She annoys, bores, and pisses me off. She's like the physical embodiment of an Instagram comment section. If yall want, please tell me what you think about her because I genuinely want to know what makes her even the slightest bit interesting to any of you. I like headcanons and I can be convince to take a lot of them. Will my opinion on canon Rayni change? Who knows man

Pile 1

Hi pile 1! So I see that a lot of you are going through a difficult time in life. Some of you maybe are over thinkers and are feeling restricted by your own thoughts or a situation (for some I feel it's your environment that makes you feel this away). I think a lot of people here are going through end of cycles and has been really hard, especially because some of this ends are feeling like some kind of betrayal (I am so sorry Pile 1🥺) I feel like it is the end of friendship and relationship for a lot of you. BUT I have good news to y'all. This situation is because you are not seeing the BIG PICTURE, I know has been hard, believe me I know how it feels, but what I heard someone's guide say is "she is not realizing that SHE can figure it out! That's the lesson, it's all with her" and even tho not everyone reading this is a "her" I think this applies to a lot, really A LOT of you. Here me out: we can't control everything in life, endings can create space for new opportunities to emerge and hold on tight in this situation/relationship/thing will only cause you pain. April asks you go stabilize your energy, to try control less and go with the flow more. This month you bring you more balance and patience (for some it's what you will need to learn or work to be better at) and avoid extremes, maintain a sense of calm. I have a very good example: you know tiktok trend that "omg you wronged with me now I am the most BAD BICTH here me out are you seeing how bad I'm now?? Yeah now I hate you and don't care about anyone" it's what I'm talking about. Hate someone it's exhausting, and I'm NOT saying to have the toxic positive also, because this is a extreme too. And also to learn to go with the flow more, it's a big thing here.

So, the Princess' Crusade is more of a cosmic suicide pact. That's disappointing. I was waiting for the other shoe to drop for a while though. Drosselmyer's prophecy from ep 2 never got out of my head: ''Many will offer answers. I would trust your heart and the heart of your companions alone". There's no Big Good that will lighten the load and make things easy, our heroes are gonna have to figure this out themselves.

Man I have been WAITING for their plan to come out this entire time. I admit, I wasn't thinking about Dross's prophecy exactly because it was a while ago--good on you for remembering it from all the way back--but knowing stories and knowing how Brennan tells stories specifically, I was sure there was no way the conflict was as simple as princesses good, fairies bad. Information on what exactly they wanted has been so vague and our heroes haven't been asking for specifics when they had the chance. I had a feeling Brennan was setting up some youthful zealotry leading to Bad Decisions and now, here we are.

This whole situation is really wild for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is the princess squad are saying they're against the concept of these narratives and the power they hold over their lives, but what about the power they themselves will be wielding over everyone else by doing this? They're talking like they're doing a hard thing that's best for everyone though they won't be understood by the common folk and to that I say bicth(es) what? Who are you to decide that life isn't worth living in this form? No one gets to decide but you because you're the main characters? What kind of Divine Right Of Kings BS is that? As someone else pointed out in another post of mine, I think Alphonse the Mule would be pretty put out if he heard the plan was "Let's End It All" while all he wants is to munch some grass. 

And like, they don't even have it bad! How mad would you be if you were like, a witch or a giant or a monster whose fate in every Once Upon a Time is to lose and be hated and be killed and you learn that the people who were trying to take down the ship with all of you in it are the people whose job it is to suffer a bit sure but then be beloved, rich, beautiful, and happy forever with the men of their dreams? Like I GET why the Stepmother is like burn it all. Why is CInderella on that same train?

Speaking of why is this person on this train, what's up with Elody? Cinderella is like 18-20, right? I've been a dumb 18 year old girl. I understand that 18 year old girls can be very dramatic and fatalistic and rash. Elody is like 35, right? Does she know the plan? If so, is she COOL with it? (Sidenote: Is there another Elody running around in this version of the world or is she maybe dead?) There are like 3 options here. 

(1) She knows and she's fine with it. Which wouldn't really mesh with what we know about her so far but maybe with Ger dead she was like OK screw it. Team Let's End It.

(2) She doesn't know because the princesses knew she wouldn't go along with it if she knew the real plan. Def a possibility but I don't want to pretend like she's uncoruptable. Anyone can subscribe to a bad take at a low time in their life. 

(3) She DOES know but she's stringing them along for her own purposes. Listen, if MY useless husband that I loved died trying to do something brave for once in his life, mayhaps I would consider joining up with some overly-zealous suicidal princesses to find the power they wanted to use to end the world to bring back said useless but beloved husband. 

I guess we'll see how it ends up shaking out. And likely soon. I have a feeling this might be an Escape The Castle situation happening soon enough. 

Oh, one more thing. It kinda blows my mind that the princesses have learned of a book not touched by the Authors--Tim's Book--and are not  like oh my gosh that changes everything! They're still fully committed to this nuke all stories plans it seems. Guys please. Have just...a moment of thought about this. A sliver of perspective. A crumb of self-awareness.

😎 I want to add this thought really quick to my last post ( the one asking what is up what captain Rogers and the SB time line ) but I didn’t want it to be too long so here is the separate post . This is the thought on Nat first realizing and falling for Sergeant Beef. This is how I see it going down .

It is the morning after their ( Nat and SB’s)favorite activities with the sun shining through the window Nat sat up looking at Sb sleeping ( KOed) and softly bushing the hair out of their face feeling  absolutely warm inside. That is when it hits her like a ton of bricks, she is in love . The usually stoic and put together Sergeant Natasha Romanoff did the one thing she never thought herself capable of ( fell in love). She was absolutely screaming on the inside and losing her shit but was just as stoic and a hard ass as always on the outside and the poor recruits and the lower level grunts that she took everything out on never had a chance. They were running for their lives on the hamster wheel  trail and were run ragged all day ( surprisingly enough she didn’t take it out on SB , they were good and Nat even praised SB on a job well done after they did something well) . Bonus points if one of the low level grunts is the awl face less ex -partner of SB , double bonus points if this was when Nat didn’t know that they were the one that leaked the tape. That they were “ That Bicth” as Nat come to know them as and it became an ON SIGHT thing ( held back of course for SB’s sake) after she found out .



Lol, yes this is an extremely accurate depiction of how Nat probably acted when she realized she was in love for the first time in her life 😂

okey so this really weird thing happened to me while was out and went to restroom so I was i rest after doing my business and washing my hands their was like several other guys in room,and than this guy that you could tell was trans proply hasnt been taking hormones yet walked in. And everyone startted at him,than the crazist thing happened ,this one guy spoke up and said your in the wrong bathroom this is male bathroom. For male space. And everyone else seem to agree. That guy was bacislly telling that other guy to leave. And it turned in to a fignt..back a fourth.. transph0bi shit was said.😥😥 i know should had somthing. I swear my brain was telling me to do somthing or at least say somthing, but nothing..😭😭😭 I feel like a coward...and a bicth?

If this ever happnes again do you have any tips on how to handle the problem??

In most of those situations my advice for you is

Don't do nothing

And that's real, okay?

Why? Because if you are never with who you are starting a fight with, you can never know if one dude is going to push a gun and kill you and the trans guy, you never know if the other men will come together and beat you until dead, you never know what can happen to you

And even if helping a person is totally a valid fight and a noble gesture, don't ever do something that can put your life in danger

You have to be really careful with that, because yes you can help the guy and everything be fine

Or you two can end dying

And when the subject is life, your life matters more than any other person's life (in that case)

So, in a real situation what you should do

First is analyse your surroundings, how many people are in the bathroom? They are in a bigger number? Looks they have anything dangerous? (Sometimes you can spot a gun or a knife if you look carefully enough)

After that, where are you? In a club? In a mall? In a restaurant? Depending on the place you are you can start a real big fight that you don't want, in a bar for example you can attract a lot of angry guys ready to beat you, but if you are in a club maybe you can find women and other LGBTs that are ready to help you

If it's a place with more people, like a mall, you will have more security of helping someone, those idiots don't want to start a big fight in public places that have a big amount of people, also if there's a cop they probably won't do anything too serious

If the situation is better for your side, then you can get involved in this, don't act in a violent or aggressive way, but be firm or they won't take you seriously, ofc fear can make this harder but just try to be calm and you will be fine

You can say things like "c'mon it's a trans okay? Just let him use the bathroom" or "let's not get upset, just let him use it and he will leave soon"

The better thing is putting you in between them, if you manage to put the trans guy on the toilet cabin there's nothing much the other guys can do, just be there until the guy finishes so you can be sure no one will try nothing to him

If you can help him, leave the bathroom as soon as possible and find the guy, talk to him and say to him wait a little to the bathroom get less people and come back with him, or take him to another male bathroom if there is one

Don't try to expose too much about the trans guy's identity, because we can feel somehow exposed and humiliated, so just try to play with the basic "he is a man" "he is trans" "he is lgbt" just to make clear he can use that bathroom but without being like "JUST BECAUSE HE HAVE A VAGINA DOESN'T MEAN HE IS NOT A MAN"

But like I said, there's a lot of things to think about before trying to help someone

In most cases you will have some panic crisis because no one is ever fully prepared to handle this situation, so if you can do nothing in the time just leave the bathroom and try to find the guy to offer the other options I said

But like I said, if the situation looks dangerous for you and him, just try to say to him to leave to not start a fight

Is not a thing to be proud of, my for us is better being a victim of a transphobia instead of being a victim of murder

So even if you don't help someone in that situation, there's nothing wrong with you, you definitely not a coward

Those situations are shocking for anyone and even a trans person cannot know what to do

So don't blame yourself for nothing, handling transphobia on the internet is totally different from handling in real life

And nobody is ever prepared for that

And unfortunately most cases of transphobia can result in physical harm, so never do nothing that can hurt you, you are not a hero and you shouldn't die with someone

If you can help someone of being harmed then do it, but I'd you can risk your life with low possible of leaving alive, don't. Your life matters and unfortunately in this world we always need to think about us first
