Becky Wright plays Clara echo in upcoming Big Finish audio drama
An upcoming Big Finish audio drama set featuring the Eleventh Doctor due out near the end of the year will feature the BF audio drama debut of Clara Oswald (or, at least, a Clara echo). Here's the write-up for the story "Spirit of the Season":
"It’s a Christmas miracle! The Doctor and Valarie have finally found another Clara. Shame she wants to kill them both."
As Jenna Coleman is not involved in this, the role of the Clara echo has been given to veteran Big Finish voice actress Becky Wright. Becky has done a number of voices for the range and is primarily known as a voice actress, with her voiceover/ADR work featured in productions such as The Witcher TV series, Edge of Tomorrow, Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation and Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.
With Matt Smith likewise unavailable (likely due to commitments to Game of Thrones prequel and other films; unlike Jenna, he has expressed interest in doing them at some point), Jacob Dudman has been playing that role for a while now (he also plays the Twelfth Doctor in some audios). The current series of stories, presumably set between The Snowman and Bells of Saint John, feature Eleven travelling with a companion named Valarie Lockwood, voiced by Safiyya Ingar.
I believe this is the first time an audio drama featuring Clara has been produced by a Doctor Who licensee. Previously the character has been featured in audio book readings for BBC Audio or narrated original stories, and Big Finish featured her in a recording of the 2018 short story False Coronets, read by Dudman. Dudman also read "War Wounds", a Twelfth Doctor story featuring Danny Pink that mentions Clara but in which she did not appear. A full out Eleven/Clara or Twelve/Clara (or other Doctor/Clara) story has yet to be produced. One wonders if they might be holding out for a cast reunion such as the ones that saw David Tennant record new Tenth Doctor stories with Billie Piper and Catherine Tate.
To date the only Big FInish involvement by Jenna Coleman was when she read the original audio story "Destiny of the Doctor: The Time Machine" that Big Finish and the now-defunct AudioGo put out for the 50th anniversary; in that piece she performed the Eleventh Doctor but Clara did not appear.

Look man, if your main character ain't putting on a happy and people pleasing facade while going thru more shit than anyone should ever go thru and having a hero complex that at the same time gets constantly reinforced because they keep being some people's only chance, I don't want anything bout em. Period.

When I do interviews, I’m asked— again and again and again— what it’s like to be a woman writing science fiction, why variations in race and sexuality are important things to include alongside fast ships and cool tech, where I think these new trends are headed. Every time, I want to tug my hair and shout from way down in my toes: We’ve always written science fiction! These stories have always been told! Female leads, queer characters, characters of colour— these did not spring forth from the 2010s, Athena-like, a stunning new dawn in the realm of fiction. It’s not that these stories were absent. It’s that we didn’t showcase them as much as the others. They’re harder to find. They went out of print. Their covers lied to us.

Day 2 of @layton-npc-appreciation-week! The prompt today was Unwound Future/Vs. Phoenix Wright, and I thought it was very cute that each game had a funny little kitty c:
I've only ever played plvsaa once, and Kira was one of the only characters I remembered at all, and I loved her. Becky always seemed very silly to me in that she was SO eager to drop her customer service voice at any point in time. And now they both have kitty!

Hello friends.
I have an idea. (From an AU)
I been playing Ace Attorney from a while (I complete the first game and my friend gift me the trilogy, so im playing the other two games) and I still having a hyperfijation with SxF (atleast from now). So, lets combine them.
If you don't play Phoenix Wright, Ace Attorney, you should play it, I recomend it. (and watch out, because i gonna give a few spoilers about the games and they history).
Let's begin.
Let's explain the characters and WHY I choose them.
Anya Forger (as Phoenix Wright):
- Ex-art student on collage, with a terrible ex-boyfriend.
- She became a lawyer after being saved by Sylvia (the Mia Fey of this universe) and having a crush on the-one-shouldn't-be-mentioned (Damian)
- Terrible lawyer, with a horrible luck, and mostly being save because of someone else or when her two neurons make contact the evidence.
- George (Larry) is her best friend, and in her first trial, she must save his ass.
- She actually doesn't look like a lawyer, because she is poor (?), so she has to use an old suit from his father (the green one) with some arrangement to be from her size made them by her mom (disastrous, but it works)
Damian Desmond (as Miles Edgeworth):
- Traumatized.
- He still having a crush on Anya, but he prefer be punched on the ribs that say "I love you" to her.
- After they first real encounter (the second case) Damian send his butler (Ewen) and his personal tailor to make her a good suit (because he wants that his rival to look presentable on court... Because he hates her!)
- Emile (Gumshoe) is his right-hand man, he trust blindly on him (and that's why when Emile misses something, he cuts his salary)
- Wanted to be a lawyer like his mother, but now he only has traumas.
Becky Blackbell (as Franziska Von Karma)
- SHE HAS A WHIP.
- SHE IS A GIRLBOSS.
- She isn't part of the family Desmond (she conserves her lastname) because she is Damian's cousin who wants to revenge the figure of Donovan Desmond.
- The option B is that Franziska is Demetrius, but i like Becky more because she has a whip and can whip Anya on the middle of the court. Pretty fun character.
- She isn't the bestie of Anya on this universe, but they got respect for eachother (Becky considers that she is a very capable woman and fights to achieve her goals, just like her.)
George Glooman (as Larry Butz)
- Idiot.
- He only could be a cheated, accused of murder, and get away with it, all in at least 24 hours.
- He isn't a big friend with Damian since they were kids and they argued about who is gonna takes Anya's hand to marriage. (spoiler: nobody remembers it clearly, they just hate each other because they are idiots.)
- Like Larry, he ended up being an artist.
Sylvia Sherwood:
- Mia Fey for this universe.
- really intelegent.
- Helped Anya on the past and became her tutor/friend when she decided be a lawyer.
- Still watching Anya since Ken (The Maya of this universe) and her became partners.
- She and Ken are family (aunt/nephew), when she has to keep info, she invites him to eat something. After the first trial, Anya and they were going out to eat, but something happen.
Ken Sherwood (as Maya Fey)
- Took Sylvia lastname.
- symptom of "being at the wrong time and place"
- He was arrested more times that you could imagined.
- Esper still on training. (Always in his hippie-clothes so gets bullied by that)
- Only can use his powers when the situation is crítical. (Only in contact with Mia because she is from his bloodline)
Melinda and Donovan Desmond:
- Melinda (32) was a really good defense lawyer who makes everything to get a Not Guilty sentence. Loved by everyone.
- Her husband, by the other hand, wasn't loved by everyone, mostly because of his tactics has a prosecutor where... Well, you know, cuestionables.
- They had two sons. Demetrius and Damian.
- Melinda was killed by someone non-identified on a elevator. Right infront Damian.
- Since then, Donovan raised his youngest son to be a bastard at court (just like him).
...Play Ace Attorney, pirated Nintendo is morally correct.

Welcome to the Holmwood Foundation
Sanguis Vita Est
The Holmwood Foundation is a Found Footage Horror-Fiction Podcast created by Fio Trethewey @fiotrethewey (Big Finish: Gallifrey War Room, 18th Wall Productions) and Georgia Cook @georgiacooked (Big Finish: The Eleventh Doctor Chronicles, Gallifrey War Room, BBC Books, The Dracula Daily Sketch Collection). It is a modern day sequel to the gothic novel Dracula.
We are currently working on building interest while we record and create the pilot episode ahead of crowd funding in October.
What is the Holmwood Foundation about?
Our story follows Jeremy Larkin (Played by Sean Carlsen) and Maddie Townsend (Played by Rebecca Root), two co-workers at the mysterious Holmwood Foundation, as they are possessed by the ghosts of Jonathan and Mina Harker, and embark on a road trip across the country in an effort to achieve their ghost's wishes: to stop Dracula once and for all. This is a story about identity and self discovery, family loyalty and devotion, all wrapped around a nightmare of a road trip with a rejuvenating severed head, incredibly sincere Victorian ghosts, and an analogue recorder.
(Content Warnings for blood, horror themes and possession)

my "current fixation" section in my pinned is never going to be 100% accurate because instead of my brain i have a little version of the hourglass twins from outer wilds where instead of sand it's f/o focus and it flows between Fate and like...a random distribution of non-Fate f/os
outer wilds gang is of course part of that distribution but it also includes Tim Wright, 432 (naturally, since they're mains as well), the bayou boys (their staying power is honestly buckwild for a non-viddy game non-main group of f/os), Floofty (i have not touched bugsnax in months but they are VERY here in my sphere of focus fsr), Becky (bc realizing and acknowledging romantic feelings for a "platonic" f/o majorly puts me in "making up for lost time" mode), Byron and Yaqut (new crush goofin), and, although not as frequently as the others bc i kinda burned all my Gush Energy at once when i first revealed them, Courtney and Chilchuck
