"Bad Heir Day" is an amazing episode! It's my favorite Crocker centered episode for sure!
The ending there is just so sweet and makes me want to cry everytime!
This episode has everything!
Timmy being a good older brother, Cosmo and Wanda look great in their flamingo dancing outfits, the whole Crocker Poof scenes (Poof slicing Crocker, Poof saving Crocker from the whale who fell on him, and so much more).
Honestly this episode is so good, that I can't just not mention it here. It's in my list of episodes I must talk about here, and is worth my stress battle if you see this, I won. Honestly if you never seen season 7 of FOP, you must at least watch this one episode! It's really that good.
I mean look at those pictures and tell me you don't want to see it!
Bonus: When Crocker bounces Poof, he bounces him in front of a drawing of a fairy, so when he does that there are scenes where Poof is in the air and above him the word Fairy. No idea what to call this, because it's some type of foreshadowing just not for the viewer.
#Real Piperamitt#Bad Heir Day#This episode also introduced us to the two things Vicky will use in season 9 to catch Cosmo Wanda and Poof#At least according to my memory#Anyway I really love this episode#I love how it ends with Crocker getting his wish and getting a happy ending#It's really sweet#Honestly I could go on about this episode for a pretty long time#Good brother Timmy#Cosmo and Wanda are amazing#Fairies are obsessed with Rump Roast remember this#Fairly odd liveblog#FOP#the fairly oddparents

Title: Bad Heir Day | Author: Wendy Holden | Publisher: Headline Book Pub Ltd (2000)

the cousins + Winter Court heir goonies adventure sounds so fun and adorable ☺️
Thank you! I’m really excited for it! I’m outlining it and I think it’s going to be fun. It’s set in the Summer Court during some sort of diplomatic conference and the kids are left on their own, they find an old map that may lead to treasure, hijinks ensue.
It’s looking like it’s mostly from Nyx’s POV with some from the other kids (Cricket, Froggy, and Andri). So I’m writing from the POV of 5, 10, and 12 year olds. Which is really fun. I’ve really loved developing the kids personalities and looking at the post ACOWAR world and characters from their perspective.

about illario working with the venatori, we can't forget that elgar'nan gifted him blood magic, so I do think that he somewhat influenced him and that's why he's so much more vindictive and jealous in comparison to tevinter nights. I don't mean that he's being mind controlled, but it's a bit like cyrian, a god just amplifying those negative emotions in you and promising power and glory can push a person to that edge and to make stupid af decisions.
im also not forgetting that zara line in inner demons where she talks about an envy demon. like. why an envy demon in specific...there's THINGS between zara and illario that were not shown
no literally if you get me talking about illario + envy + the possibility of getting him possessed, you will have me here for fucking ever. a non mage doing blood magic (any magic at all) is really weird and interesting to me and i don’t remember an example of this happening before (feel free to correct me tho lol. i’m discounting possessions and dwarves)
i had started wildly theorising after bloodbath that he had been possessed and he was tapping into the fade using an envy demon. especially like you said, zara mentions it, AND because i swear there’s a codex in the ossuary where it mentions an envy demon whereas spite is obviously determination, right? so i thought it was a breadcrumb trail to a big “illario is being influenced and doesn’t even know” reveal— same as you anon like great minds am i right— but i’m not sure there is actually any evidence of that lol. like maybe if you squint but i do believe it was explained away by “oh yeah, and elgarnan let him do special blood magic”
it does also make sense to me that illario can only control lucanis, due to being part of the same family. a bloodline thing, and it is very poetic to me that their shared family connection in caterina is what allows him to control lucanis, even for a moment lol. spite being the extra magical boost that lucanis needs to block that out ALSO makes sense to me so i’m not too fussed abt these details lol🤔
the envyllario in my heart also gets spectral weapons for himself. lucanis gets wings, illario gets talons, PLUS green-purple are complementary colors so it would have been really fun to see them clash with their spirit/demon-powers. the talon thing is also a kind of reflection of his end-goal desire, how envy demons already have those freaky hands, and it manifests as claws and is a much more aggressive, strength-augmenting manifestation (as opposed to manoeuvrability and speed-augmenting that spite’s wings give lucanis.) anyways that's what the diagram above is supposed to be (this is extremely hot to me)
#have been waiting all day to get out of work to draw what i have not stopped rotating in my head#also drawing is not totally clear yes that is lucanis using one hand to hold back illario trying to claw at him yayyyyyyy#illario dellamorte#lucanis dellamorte#my art#dragon age#veilguard spoilers#sorry. i was going to reply to this yesterday but my friend finished the lucanis questline#we were discussing this for a bit so the reply is a little more in depth and thought out#also both of the remaining dellamorte heirs both being possessed is fun to ME .#forget house dellamorte being cooked we HAVE to make sure they’re burning and smoking and potentially even on fire#i wish we got to make the crows actually confront what a possessed heir would mean#but that is largely overshadowed in the game by caterina’s kidnapping#and also feels underused because nothing of note goes terribly bad#he doesn’t even draw any blood when spite tries to kill illario#truly wish lucanispite would have gone out of control and killed someone. idk who tho#maybe. lol. jacobus come here. i need you to die tragically

Kingdom of Ash Chapter 61
Chapter; Highlights (okay the entire chapter is a highlight)🤣
As requested @mysterylilycheeta I NEED TO SQUEAL IN WYVERN FANGIRL WITH YOU NOW CAUSE OH M GOODNESS THIS CHAPTER ON SO MANY LEVELS I JUST AHAKWIHUHFEJLZXBKEKA
Agony was a song in Lorcan's blood, his bones, his breath.
Every step of the horse, every leap she made over body and debris, sent it ringing afresh. There was no end, no mercy from it. It was all he could do to keep in the saddle, to cling to consciousness.
To keep his arm around Elide.
She had come for him. Had found him, somehow, on this endless battlefield.
His name on her lips had been a summons he could never deny, even when death had held him so gently, nestled beneath all those he'd felled, I, and waited for his last breaths.
And now, charging toward that too-distant keep, so far behind the droves of soldiers and riders racing for the gates, he wondered if these minutes would be his last. Her last.
She had come for him.
Lorcan managed to glance toward the dam on their right. Toward the ruk rider signaling that it was only a matter of minutes until it unleashed hell over the plain.
He didn't know how it had become weakened. Didn't care.
Still Elide kept urging the horse onward, kept them on as straight a path toward the distant keep as possible.
No ruk would come to sweep them up. No, his luck had been spent in surviving this long, in her finding him. His power would do nothing against that water.
The farthest lines of panicked soldiers appeared, and Farasha charged past them.
Elide let out a sob, and he followed the line of her sight.
To the keep gate, still open.
"Faster, Farasha!" She didn't hide the raw terror in her voice, the desperation.
Once the dam broke, it would take less than a minute for the tidal wave to reach them.
She had come for him. She had found him.
The world went quiet. The pain in his body faded into nothing. Into something secondary.
Lorcan slid his other arm around Elide, bringing his mouth close to her ear as he said, "You have to let me go."
Each word was gravelly, his voice strained nearly to the point of uselessness.
Elide didn't shift her focus from the keep ahead. "No."
That gentle quiet flowed around him, clearing the fog of pain and battle. "You have to. You have to, Elide. I'm too heavy-and without my weight, you might make it to the keep in time."
"No." The salt of her tears filled his nose.
Lorcan brushed his mouth over her damp cheek, ignoring the roaring pain in his body. The horse galloped and galloped, as if she might outrace death itself.
"I love you," he whispered in Elide's ear. "I have loved you from the moment you picked up that axe to slay the ilken." Her tears flowed past him in the wind. "And I will be with you ..." His voice broke, but he made himself say the words, the truth in his heart. "I will be with you always."
He was not frightened of what would come for him once he tumbled off the horse. He was not frightened at all, if it meant her reaching the keep.
So Lorcan kissed Elide's cheek again, allowed himself to breathe in her scent one last time. "I love you," he repeated, and began to withdraw his arms from around her waist.
Elide slapped a hand onto his forearm. Dug in her nails, right into his skin, fierce as any ruk.
"No."
There were no tears in her voice. Nothing but solid, unwavering steel.
"No," she said again. The voice of the Lady of Perranth.
Lorcan tried to move his arm, but her grip would not be dislodged.
If he tumbled off the horse, she would go with him.
Together. They would either outrun this or die together.
"Elide-"
But Elide slammed her heels into the horse's sides.
Slammed her heels into the dark flank and screamed, "FLY, FARASHA." She cracked the reins. "FLY, FLY, FLY!"
And gods help her, that horse did.
As if the god that had crafted her filled the mare's lungs with his own breath, Farasha gave a surge of speed.
Faster than the wind. Faster than death.
Farasha cleared the first of the fleeing Darghan cavalry. Passed desperate horses and riders at an all-out gallop for the gates.
Her mighty heart did not falter, even when Lorcan knew it was raging to the point of bursting.
Less than a mile stood between them and the keep.
But a thunderous, groaning crack cleaved the world, echoing off the lake, the mountains.
There was nothing he could do, nothing that brave, unfaltering horse could do, as the dam ruptured.
Rowan made himself stand there, to watch the last moments of the Lady of Perranth and his former commander. It was all he could offer: witnessing their deaths, so he might tell the story to those he encountered. So they would not be forgotten.
The roaring of the oncoming wave became deafening, even from miles away.
Still Elide and Lorcan raced, Farasha passing horse after horse after horse.
Even up here, would they escape the wave's reach? Rowan dared to survey the battlements, to assess if he needed to get the others, needed to get Aelin, to higher ground.
But Aelin was not at his side.
She was not on the battlement at all.
Rowan's heart halted. Simply stopped beating as a ruddy-brown ruk dropped from the skies, spearing for the center of the plain.
Arcas, Borte's ruk. A golden-haired woman dangling from his talons.
Aelin. Aelin was—
Arcas neared the earth, talons splaying.
Aelin hit the ground, rolling, rolling, until she uncoiled to her feet.
Right in the path of that wave.
"Oh gods," Fenrys breathed, seeing her, too.
They all saw her.
The queen on the plain.
The endless wall of water surging for her.
The keep stones began shuddering. Rowan threw out a hand to brace himself, fear like nothing he had known ripping through him as Aelin lifted her arms above her head.
A pillar of fire shot up around her, lifting her hair with it.
The wave roared and roared for her, for the army behind her.
The shaking in the keep was not from the wave.
It was not from that wall of water at all.
Cracks formed in the earth, splintering across it. Spiderwebbing from Aelin.
"The hot springs," Chaol breathed. "The valley floor is full of veins into the earth itself."
Into the burning heart of the world.
The keep shook, more violently this time.
The pillar of fire sucked back into Aelin.
She held out a hand before her, her fist closed.
As if it would halt the wave in its tracks.
He knew then. Either as her mate or carranam, he knew.
"Three months," Rowan breathed.
The others stilled.
"Three months," he said again, his knees wobbling. "She's been making the descent into her power for three months."
Every day she had been with Maeve, bound in iron, she had gone deeper. And she had not tapped too far into that power since they'd freed her because she had kept making the plunge.
To gather up the full might of her magic.
Not for the Lock, not for Erawan.
But for Maeve's death blow.
A few weeks of descent had taken her powers to devastating levels. Three months of it
…
Holy gods. Holy rutting gods.
And when her fire hit the wall of water now towering over her, when they collided —
"GET DOWN!" Rowan bellowed, over the screaming waters. "GET DOWN NOW!"
His companions dropped to the stones, any within earshot doing the same.
Rowan plummeted into his power. Plummeted into it fast and hard, ripping out any remaining shred of magic.
Elide and Lorcan were still too far from the gates. Thousands of soldiers were still too far from the gates as the wave crested above them.
As Aelin opened her hand toward it.
Fire erupted.
Cobalt fire. The raging soul of a flame.
A tidal wave of it.
Taller than the raging waters, it blasted from her, flaring wide.
The wave slammed into it. And where water met a wall of fire, where a thousand years of confinement met three months of it, the world exploded.
Blistering steam, capable of melting flesh from bone, shot across the plain.
With a roar, Rowan threw all that remained of his magic toward the onslaught of steam, a wall of wind that shoved it toward the lake, the mountains.
Still the waters came, breaking against the flames that did not so much as yield an inch.
Maeve's death blow. Spent here, to save the army that might mean Terrasen's salvation. To spare the lives on the plain.
Rowan gritted his teeth, panting against his fraying power. A burnout lurked, deadly close.
The raging wave threw itself over and over and over into the wall of flame.
Rowan didn't see if Elide and Lorcan made it into the keep. If the other soldiers and riders on the plain stopped to gape.
Princess Hasar said, rising beside him, "That power is no blessing."
"Tell that to your soldiers," Fenrys snarled, standing, too.
"I did not mean it that way," Hasar snipped, and awe was indeed stark on her face.
Rowan leaned against the battlements, panting hard as he fought to keep the lethal steam from flowing toward the army. As he cooled and sent it whisking away.
Solid hands slid under his arms, and then Fenrys and Gavriel were there, propping him up between them.
A minute passed. Then another.
The wave began to lower. Still the fire burned.
Rowan's head pounded, his mouth going dry.
Time slipped from him. A coppery tang filled his mouth.
The wave lowered farther, raging waters quieting. Then roaring turned to lapping, rapids into eddies.
Until the wall of flame began to lower, too. Tracking the waters down and down and down. Letting them seep into the cracks of the earth.
Rowan's knees buckled, but he held on to his magic long enough for the steam to lessen.
For it, too, to be calmed.
It filled the plain, turning the world into drifting mist. Blocking the view of the queen in its center.
Then silence. Utter silence.
Fire flickered through the mist, blue turning to gold and red. A muted, throbbing glow.
Rowan spat blood onto the battlement stones, his breath like shards of glass in his throat.
The glowing flames shrank, steam rippling past. Until there was only a slim pillar of fire, veiled in the mist-shrouded plain.
Not a pillar of fire.
But Aelin.
Glowing white-hot. As if she had given herself so wholly to the flame that she had become fire herself.
The Fire-Bringer someone whispered down the battlements.
The mist rippled and billowed, casting her into nothing but a glowing effigy.
The silence turned reverent.
A gentle wind from the north swept down. The veil of mist pulled back, and there she was.
She glowed from within. Glowed golden, tendrils of her hair floating on a phantom wind.
"Mala's Heir," Yrene breathed.
Down on the plain, Elide and Lorcan had halted.
The wind pushed away more of the drifting mist, clearing the land beyond Aelin.
And where that mighty, lethal wave had loomed, where death had charged toward them, nothing remained at all.
For three months, she had sung to the darkness and the flame, and they had sung back.
For three months, she had burrowed so deep inside her power that she had plundered undiscovered depths. While Maeve and Cairn had worked on her, she had delved. Never letting them know what she mined, what she gathered to her, day by day by day.
A death blow. One to wipe a dark queen from the earth forever.
She'd kept that power coiled in herself even after she'd been freed from the irons. Had struggled to keep it down these weeks, the strain enormous. Some days, it had been easier to barely speak. Some days, swaggering arrogance had been her key to ignoring it.
Yet when she had seen that wave, when she had seen Elide and Lorcan choosing death together, when she had seen the army that might save Terrasen, she'd known. She'd felt the fire sleeping under this city, and knew they had come here for a reason.
She had come here for this reason.
A river still flowed from the dam, harmless and small, wending toward the lake.
Nothing more.
Aelin lifted a glowing hand before her as blessed, cooling emptiness filled her at last.
Slowly, starting from her fingertips, the glow faded.
As if she were forged anew, forged back into her body.
Back into Aelin.
Clarity, sharp and crystal clear, filled its wake. As if she could see again, breathe again.
Inch by inch, the golden glow faded into skin and bone. Into a woman once more.
Already, a white-tailed hawk launched skyward.
But as the last of the glow faded, disappearing out through her toes, Aelin fell to her knees.
Fell to her knees in the utter silence of the world, and curled onto her side.
She had the vague sense of strong, familiar arms scooping her up. Of being carried onto a broad feathery back, still in those arms.
Of soaring through the skies, the last of the mist rippling away into the afternoon sun.
And then sweet darkness.

dandelion is indeed the worst but if he’s not present in the next book i would legitimately be sorrowful as the whole thing will become a slog . you basically cannot have the “short stories” era-of-the-timeline iteration of geralt without dandelion, it would be like eating unbuttered bread.
though it’s not like season of storms did them dirty, i wasn’t disappointed with it (… with regards to them), but since it’s literally been over 20 years since the saga was finished i’m trying to prepare for any potential reality
#however i will accept an absence of dandelion IN THE CASE OF we get to see geralt and yennefer living together in vengerberg#but if it’s regular geralt day in the life then if dandelion’s not there it’s gonna suuuuuccckk#i mean as in geralt’s life sucks without him. badly#and it also? sucks with him. good-ly.#it’s august and we don’t have a title yetttt 🥲 and they said 2024 … hmhm sure#i just feel like rupaul ‘and don’t fuck it up’.gif#like i’m excited but also wtf? new witcher book? are we on punk’d?#it’s not going to be the best but i’m hoping it will be at least as good as season of storms. not a high bar ok!#this from the person who was optimistic about the n*tflix show. don’t trust me i like to believe in the future#i was going to say ‘and i trust sapkowski more than i trust n*tflix’ and then i laughed.#i don’t trust him—i don’t even trust the version of him from the 90s and 00s!#one side of me can’t believe i’m still here after the guardswomen of kerack. and the ‘well i’m only gay for clout’ villain motivations#the other side of me is intensely curious wtf geralt will get up to this time and how witcher could maybe even denigrate further#but season of storms ending was actually good and = well it’s not like sapkowski forgot what it was about#then again it’s been 10 years and a bad adaptation since then so im biting my nails#all i ask : please stick with the naming convention of the other books. i don’t want to write an absurdly long or short name or acronym out#sooooo weird that in a few months i will be saying: there are 9 witcher books.#actually rn i just say there’s 7 and discount season of storms as a legitimate heir but mention it as footnote lol#i just hope i can survive until this new book and until its translation LOLLLL#they said translation in 2025 but you know the track record#new book: *releases winter 2024* | english translation: coming 2045!#jk i think they finally figured out that witcher is a money printer so they will be eager to translate it now and not waffle around#they kicked their butts into gear with the hussite trilogy so ! and they made new hardcovers.#the elbow-high diaries#new book 2024

For wen!wwx: "you are a fool wei wuxian," Wen Qing hissed angrily. "What of a-yuan? How will you protect him if you are dead?" She asked, violence on her face. "This poison will destroy your jindan, if not outright kill you!" But A-Ying had already made his decision. She can only have faith. They may not be of the same blood, but Wen Zhuliu had taught him all he knew. And there was no one alive or dead who knew more about the jindan than the core melting hand himself.
I'm guessing that this prompt assumes that Wei Wuxian was behind his own poisoning/is preventing his recovery in some way, so here's some more background for the AU.
This wasn't covered in previous asks, but Wei Wuxian has been subtly influencing battles/supply runs in favor of the Sunshot alliance for years, since the obedience seals bound to his life-force prevent him from openly rebelling against Wen Ruohan. Until the year before his poisoning, WWX was ferrying information across the Jiangling battlefront to Yunmeng by way of Yu Zhenhong and Li Shuai; and when he was forcibly retired and sent back to the Nightless City, he could no longer interact with his spies and gather information in person. Furthermore, the safety of his household depends on how well he serves Wen Ruohan, which means that Wei Wuxian has to be more useful to WRH as a wounded battle strategist than he was as a general on the front lines.
Wei Wuxian would much rather have found a cure and gone back to the Hejian (Qinghe) battlefront, but Wen Qing couldn't find a remedy for his core-poisoning in time—which is unsurprising, because the poison was developed in Gusu Lan as a last recourse in case of siege, and never tested on a single human victim prior to Wei Wuxian.
Re: the poisoned arrow, Jingyi was the archer who shot Wei Wuxian. He switched places with one of Nie Mingjue's disciples and sneaked in as part of his dad's first regiment; and when he actually got to the front lines, he panicked and shot WWX. :/
#asks#reference#wrh raises wwx au#jingyi had the WORST time#he sneaked off to war at 17 thinking that he was finally Doing His Duty as a sect heir#and not only was actually going to war HORRIFYING#but he ALSO wounded the sunshot alliance's biggest source of information and got lwj captured#jingyi seeing that none of nmj's men are shooting wwx: oh man this is something I can do!#nmj seeing one of his soldiers shooting at their Most Important Ally: which ABSOLUTE IDIOT shot the ONE man I said not to-#two seconds later: oh...that's MY idiot :|#cue Terror™ because that is HIS baby surrounded by blood and death on a battlefield#and now his brother-in-law being taken prisoner bc someone on the wen side figured out that the archer was jingyi#and nabbed lwj in retribution#nmj had a very bad day#but then again#so did the rest of them lol

Naegami Fluff and/or Shenanigans 18
Makoto has an absolute grudge against mouthwash and Byakuya just doesn't understand any of it.
Basically, as a kid, Makoto's parents decided one day to try and get more healthy with their dental hygiene. I like to believe that Makoto's parents are the type to follow trends like "Oh, honey. There's this new mouthwash everyone's raving out. We should totally try it!". Or, maybe instead of mouthwash, it was something else. However, they had to settle for the cheaper stuff because they aren't forking over half of their earnings for this. Also, side note, I just feel that Makoto's parents sometime get suckered into fads too. It's not like they MEAN to, but still. Regardless, with this mouthwash brough, Makoto got some unsavory memories he doesn't wanna think about like crying like a little baby which makes him embarrassed because of the cringe. He also doesn't give me the energy that he cried too much as a kid so this just stuck with him a lot BECAUSE he happened to cry from this. Or maybe, Makoto just accidently swallowed the mouthwash and went to the ER or something! However, luck has it that no, he is not going to be able to never think about this again because Byakuya's now looking at him with an all-knowing glare and it's back with the mouthwash all over again. It all started with Byakuya picking up on some of Makoto's dental habits which led him just to bluntly claim one day that Makoto had gingivitis and he can tell. Which Makoto is... upset to know that yes. The heir was right on this assessment and also "Oh crap... this isn't going to go well for me." Which, yeah. This is a complete negative for Makoto in his eyes. Every time Makoto uses the mouthwash Byakuya's provided (which it is of course, quite expensive), he always makes a little noise of disgust like "Ew! gross" or "Bleh! This is so awful..." which Byakuya doesn't get at all. It doesn't help that Byakuya could chug a whole bottle of Brown Listerine and feel nothing about it. But, anyway, Makoto hates the mouthwash, Byakuya supervises Makoto and stalks him like a hawk, Makoto constantly complains while Byakuya explains that "This is important." and "Stop whining. It solves nothing". This cycle ends up going on for a while though Byakuya "isn't going to baby sit him forever" which then leans to rebellion! Aka, Makoto slowly tries to be sneaky and stop using the product over time. Makoto treats the situate like he's Solid Snake stealthing about though he's very obviously not subtle and gets caught in less than a week. However, Byakuya feels a bit merciful after all of this. And tired. That too. I can see them finding some sort of compromise and maybe Makoto apologizes for acting so strongly against it all when he knows he can handle it. Maybe Byakuya also reevaluates his role too and how he probably shouldn't have just forced this all on Makoto. Taking it slow was probably the better fit for the both of them anyway. Idk. Feel it should end well for them. ALLLSO an additional little bit that is not related to most of this post but is here anyway cus I feel like it: Makoto also does the "Bleh!" noise or other adjacent vocalizations whenever he trips up a sentence or messes up a word really bad. Byakuya also doesn't get why Makoto does this either. For him, it's just like, "Why are you making weird noises? Just pause and restart the sentence." It just makes sense in Makoto's mind though so the heir is in a perpetual state of never getting any of this.
#danganronpa#danganronpa makoto#makoto naegi#danganronpa byakuya#byakuya togami#naegami#naegami talk#text sector#sure has been a while#makoto wishes mouthwash could be abolished. fluoride is his enemy#gotta love writing byakuya as a poison-chugging freak too with him being able to drink the brown Listerine like it's nothing#imagining him being able to casually eat tide pods will never NOT be funny to me because it's just so unhinged#makoto also complains about the brown Listerine that byakuya's able to chug b/c it's 1 bad for the heir and 2 not even brown!#like “it's not even brown bya!” and byakuya's just like “tch. shut up” or something. idk. making dialogue on the spot is hard T-T#naegi dad#naegi mom#naegi's parents#slight blabber of mr. and mrs. naegi here cus they need love#are there even definitive tags for these guys??? doesn't help that i don't think they even have names or if they do know one knows about it#and btw as much as i made the naegi parent's sound like bumbling fools they just mean well and would wield chainsaws for their kids#is there any canonical proof of that? nope! am i just going to role with that idea because these two need more content? hell yeah!#wish i could put this all in the text itself instead of just in the tags but oh well! might come up with a solution to this problem one day

so funny when people say "well, obviously min is the only one rand can have a long-term relationship with post-canon since she doesn't have any other obligations" as if they cannot even conceive of the idea of rand being the househusband to his breadwinner wife/wives rather than the reverse. like there is literally nothing stopping him from just moving into the caemlyn palace and being elayne and aviendha's sugar baby. and as far as i can remember there was never any indication within the books that elayne would be expected to make a political marriage, that's just an assumption some readers make based on their own preconceptions of royal characters. (morgase's marriage to taringail was to smooth the throne's transition from mantear to trakand, but elayne already has 2 thrones and 2 heirs secure - and, on the latter subject, the books never hinted that her having kids while unmarried would in any way make them not be considered legitimate heirs, so there's really no reason at all why she would NEED to get married.)
"but rand wants to get away from it all, he can't have a relationship with a high-profile public figure who's obligated to stay in caemlyn" okay then they can keep their relationship discreet! and rand can travel by himself in his free time! and bring back nice presents to his family! and lest this be thought a Min Hate Post, min can move into the palace and be their sugar baby too! they can all be together, it's fine! there's really no reason why all 4 lifestyles can't ultimately be compatible long term! i mean, assuming min is able to get out of the seanchan's clutches.........which, somehow, people never seem to think is as big of an obstacle to Being Rand's Endgame as the fact that elayne and aviendha have jobs.
#yeah i am currently having to erase the 0 off of my 'days since last incident of unwisely visiting reddit for the answer to a WOT question#and subsequently getting mad about unrelated bad takes found there' sign#how could you tell! lmao#wot#wot book spoilers#now that i think about it: man the fact that no one ever cares about elayne being pregnant ~out of wedlock~#is an underrated aspect of the books that i really love!#ofc nynaeve and egwene's small-town worldviews are Scandalized but iirc exactly 0 other people give a shit in any way#and it makes sense! this is a matrilineal monarchy so why would it matter who the heir's father is#as long as the queen gave birth to them they're legitimate

I've been thinking a lot about Rava lately for some reason. Do you have any Rava headcanons? Do you think her and Stewy have ever gotten along, or do you think there's always just been contempt?
hiiiii richard <3
ultimately i think rava is a good girl from a good family who’s actually not that good of a girl from not that good of a family
i Do think stewy and rava got along before she and kendall got married, i dont think they were ever close or more than amicable cuz i really just dont think their each other’s type (platonically (or otherwise)) like stewy thinks rava is boring and rava thinks stewy is an asshole and they’re both correct respectively.
i dont think the contempt settled in until kendall and rava got married, and no not because of jealousy but yes because of each of their relationships to kendall. rava thinks stewy enables kendall, while stewy thinks rava thinks she can save/change kendall. and they’re both a little bit wrong. stewy’s not so much enabling kendall as he is taking care of him in his own insane way. there’s definitely still a selfish element; kendall high or at a party or up to whatever no good with stewy is probably closer to a real version of kendall than stewy gets otherwise + those things pertain really well to stewy’s own personal interests, but its an outlet and a freedom for kendall too. im sure at some point the line of thinking to stewy became: kendall will either be high or dead. so stewy is ready to feed him sex drugs and money forever because he prefers kendall alive.
for rava, i dont think rava thinks she can save or change kendall because she didn’t see kendall as needing saving or changing when she first met him/fell in love with him/married him. i think the kendall she knew was a kendall she thought could and would do all the things he says he can and will do — become heir, change the company, change the world — because she knew him/loved him/married him when a lot of that was still so possible. i think the fundamental difference between rava and stewy is that rava met and got to know kendall when he was at his least attached to logan (in college) and stewy met and got to know kendall when he was at his most attached to logan (in childhood). she just couldn’t know what she was deadling with, probably thought she and kendall were the same; a shitty dad that they ultimately want to break free of. kendall in college, sure had the trauma, but be also had time. waystar was well within reach, there was no reason to think he wouldn’t get everything he wanted and do everything he wanted, he hadnt been blue balled of his destiny for 20 years yet. if we’re to assume they got married in their early twenties then this still stands. i imagine as time went on and logan persisted and the festering festered, whatever kendall she believed in went with it. and from there it wasn’t about saving him, but just about letting him go. i think rava takes her relationship with kendall as a responsibility; she owns up to having married him and having had children with him, even if it turned out to be misguided, by continuing to be in his life cordially as possible and keeping a relationship between him and the kids. ultimately she just kind of got bamboozled a little bit, which isn’t really anyone’s fault entirely. i think they were just two kids in real love but in over their heads
#as much as kendall is definitively a shit dad and a shit husband i’ve never seen rava as a total victim cuz at the end of the day.#marrying the heir to racisim factory and thinking thats not gonna go badly had some serious wishful thinking involved#but she’s also definitely not at equal fault in the deterioration of their marriage#unfortunately i just think rava fell in love with and married kendall without the context#and anyone with the context (like stewy) would know how bad of an idea that was#thank u for the ask <3#ask#m

Dorian is my favourite Da character but that doesn't mean I can't also fucking hate that they added homophobia at random to the DA universe in Inquisition
#dorian dragon age romance#I understand that it is a tevinter issue we haven't been in tevinter yadayadya#But even so#It can fit in plot wize and still be unnecessary#I get that it's mostly for dorian to get an heir but that's not the case fully there isnt just the reproductive part obviously as halward#Doesn't want him publicly shaming them by being openly gay#Gay is jusy a bad thing socially in tevinter generally#So yeah#In da2 nobody reacted much at all to gay stuff and in dao you had mostly straight options but it was the same thing#Preference and sensuality is totally good and fine and also having just bi bitches as your companions is hilarious too#I love dai but I recently saw a post critical to the lack of depth in the 3rd game#And I do see it#I love the game and plot and characters but they don't get much exploration like the older games and they aren't as evolved in the plot#The inquisitor is much more isolated being in the position they are as well as the open race options with different origins making it#Harder to have clear story lines that fit all ig#Anyways#Rant rant rant i should get back to my exam lolll

can nakamura please bring back ritsu’s father issues …….. please i’m asking for a friend
#i miss his daddy issues so much man like YES they are not central to his character compared to like#gestures at his whole high school mental illness and present day mental illness ….. yeah compared to whatever the fuck this is#but i think it’s also a vital part in shaping who he is and his struggles with self and why he wants to prove himself by his own accord ;w;#and more than anything i also think like it’s one of the plot lines that can be very important for ritsu’s growth once he !!!! confesses#once he confesses and they get together and there’s still so much more to him and sekakoi that has been set up and needs to be explored#first of all where is haitani …???? let’s dig the man up from whatever garbage dump nakamura threw him in and tie his arc back up nicely#and then i’m like absolutely Positive fujishiro’s arc is leading to a ricchan career breakthrough#like it Has to be bro the pacing is so slow and paying such key attention to him working with her i can really feel it coming#i want them to explore what it’ll be like for him !!!!! how his mental state will be and whether he’s able to take pride in his success#or if he is able to take pride at all knowing him#and then the other loose string is his father like bro onodera papa has been so sus this whole time#not in a bad sus but in a ‘i think this man knows more than he’s letting on’ kind of sus#ritsu’s daddy issues are so mild actually but i think it’s bc he’s too busy with fighting for his life most of the time#which is very fair and a very big mood LOL but there has got to be a time where like#this subplot of him being onodera shuppan heir will come bite him in the ass again#and i really really am dying to see how he would handle it#so miss nakamura i am standing at the foot of your bed …… menacingly ……. i am waiting
