Keeper -- a short comic about an angel meeting a robotic lighthouse keeper that doesn't know the world has already ended. Made in about 18 hours for a 24-hour 24-page* black and white comic challenge (that I arrived late to, ha.)

*the actual submission does not include the cover, which was created after the fact for this post.

This was a really great learning experience as someone who's... never really made a completed comic. I ended up really attached to the story by the end of the project (possibly due to all-nighter deliriousness lol) and ultimately am very proud of what I made.There are some things I'd still like to change, particularly text placement, but in keeping with the spirit of the challenge I've elected to leave it as is.

Only to find the galaxy in disaster mode, billions of refugees on displaced planets because their planets died, giant creepy beasts eating entire worlds, crazy death wizard people ruling most of the galaxy. All lead by the Supreme Emperor Necrolord Prime God whatever. Who is that annoying cult leader. Who HATES YOU.

it's not that i trust the rumours but i do think it would be funny for checo, daniel, liam and yuki (in my heart if not reality, fuck you red bull) to have spent the last two years fighting over the second red bull seat, two different drivers getting fired mid season in an attempt to find someone good, only for red bull to decide to go with franco, who has even less experience than liam lawson and has never been affiliated with red bull in his life

Imagine you're fighting the guy who has been using your father's Hellfire quirk in class for the past week and you just negated his ability to use that quirk thanks to dropping your entire tragic backstory on him only for the guy to use your own quirk against you, except it's the part of the quirk you hate.

What if like 10% of people in Gotham has a “I know who Batman is but I will never tell a soul” moment.

Like a kid who Bruce saved while he was starting out was scared so he showed his face a bit more to calm them down.

Or that drunk guy in fear state who saw Bruce.

Or a lady who saw a Batman fight people and his mask got scraped up and she saw his face.

Or someone saw Batman lay flowers at the alley where the Waynes died and connected the dots.

They all know but they will deny it till kingdom come cause that’s how Gotham people are.

Like sure there are definitely some who have tried to tell other but there is quite a few who have just figured it out and decided that’s just not a thing they’re gonna talk about.

Everyone was talking about how magenta isn’t real and our brains made it up, but can you imagine how COOL that would be if we encountered aliens who can’t see magenta? And THEY are confused because we keep talking about some mystery color???

Human: (points) That’s magenta.

Alien: Ah, see, we call that chauveltine.

Human: (points at another) And that’s a kind of dark magenta.

Alien: That’s… that jgorgilo… it’s a completely different color—

Human: And THAT one is HOT magenta—

Alien: ???????

Or EVEN BETTER, we humans are able to identify the aliens immediately because they can’t quite get their disguises right, they get something red a LITTLE off and the humans are like, “Oh hey another one, you’re looking very magenta today,” and the alien scientists are just BAFFLED

ok, hear me out

qsmp goes on a whole jail arc through most of February, jaiden gets back from tour and her character crawls her way back from purgatory nearly 3 months later, realizes that literally the majority of the island is in prison, and decides "yeah i'm still super mentally unstable time to break out the lawyer suit" and singlehandedly prepares a case for everyone incarcerated and gets them out lmfao
