Well, I can tell you this was a lot of work - trying to get 17 dragons to pose for pictures is like trying to handle three handfuls of kittens. Hence, why some pictures are a bit unfocused (which surely didn't happen because I didn't set the focus right, nono) But yeah, here they are! The first 5 are the standard colors and then 5 custom colors, and all of them turned out magnificent <3

From a BJD artist perspective, I'm very, very happy how the joints work in resin. Theres a difference from clay master to resin, and everything thankfully works exactly as intended; the legs hold poses absolutely perfect, and the whole body outline looks streamline. Sorry for the rambling. I'm just glad everything worked out exactly for once :D

In honor of 2024 being the year of the dragon in the Chinese zodiac, it felt appropriate to repaint my own noodle dragon girl Dollzone Po in white skin. I had absolutely hated the previous Faceup I’d put on her for many reasons, so I was happy to redo her. Also who can resist shimmer freckles?

The new Faceup is much much cuter in my opinion. I opted for no applied eyelashes this time because her eyes are just so dang small!

The redo was prompted by her new wig, which was the first wig I’d ever sewn like this. The part is messy, but acceptable to me and not bad for my first time working with sewn wefts!

She’s just so adorable, I’m glad I finally bonded with her

New arrival

My new girl got here last week. She’s claimed her outfit. Wig to be determined. I like this one, but the girls tend to bounce it around. I want her to have her own. Name is undetermined too, because so far nothing is sticking besides “chicken demon”.

She is a Resinsoul Zhen on the default body in their normal skintone. She’s using one of the msd horns- 03 I think?

I want to lightly sand and maybe hot glue suede all their segments to help them pose more easily. The plastic is just so smooth compared to resin. I'm also considering maybe sculpting some different faces for them too? The Antu faceplate for the last few series is getting so overdone.

Meet Elcid the dragon kid, the symbol of 2024. It's a 3d printed articulated toy with a wide range of flexibility. He is going to be released on Cults3d on this Friday, January 12th 2024.

Dragon in a Sea of Flowers

I finally took my sweet Ember outside for some photos with friends. These are my favorite ones of her. Though I do wish I'd taken my big DSLR with me, as I shot these with my phone. No matter, the photos still turned out lovely and only needed little editing!

I got this little dude posted over on my Ko-Fi.

This is another Kabbit Kir designed by Aelith Art that I made a couple minor mods to. Essentially I edited the tail to be a smaller and the adapter on the back of the torso to match that size and have a more natural looking finish.

They feature magnetic hands and have digitigrade legs (basically they have backwards knees). I added the wings because I thought they had a dragon vibe. I'm planning to also have this body for sale with the dragon head I previously modified to fit RH bodies because I think that head would look great on this body as well.

This lovely golden faceup is on my Dream Valley Alter in normal skin, which is a pale normal yellow. I'm so glad he finally arrived this year and that he's perfect for the character he shells.

When I saw this swag ass boi on the new Penny's Box release I was instantly in love! The dragon body is soo cool and posable :D

Guess who arrived yesterday! Unfortunately, while the horns on either doll were not broken off like others have experienced the Xun Yuan (blue) has some severe scratching on one horn. I've contacted the seller to see about getting a replacement perhaps. Bing Li (purple) is absolutely lovely though and I really wish they had done the semi-transparent dragon parts for all the dolls. The solid dragon body just lacks depth. I will likely be selling off the blue boy's dragon body so if you're interested, please shoot me a message!

Happy Lunar New Year & Year of the Blue Dragon!

These are old pics, but I just love them so much and it's thematic for the occasion.

The pictured one is my beta prototype and is one meter long, but I still need to work on editing the joints so it's easier to assemble & disassemble so that I can make my final dragon for myself that will be 2x size with a length of two meters.

So many bjd projects and such limited time & mental capacity. 😔
