Chaos Thunder Lord Gunnvaldr speaks of Nora

Gunnvaldr is the leader of the Thunder Lord battalion, granted only 10 remain. He and his brothers were the first to land on Remnant, slaughtering lingering Loyalist Astartes as they made their way to their home to find Nora. Nora dying in his hands caused him and his brethren to give into the ruinous powers, becoming Chaos Obliterators, nearly half of them are insane, only the memory of happier times keeps in check. Gunnvaldr is still sane but heavily mutated as well, he tries to keep his brothers on line but they grow restless. They want revenge.

listening to this audiobook and thank GOD I’m alone because I just started screaming in my house lmao. the opening chapter goes into some detail about how sensitive the feet are and how well hooked into the nervous system they are.

I wish I could’ve also recorded my own reaction to hearing this but it went something like this lmao:

homelander hearing fifteen seconds of a bass-boosted song playing on your phone repeteadly, and sees how you keep your eyes glued to the screen with this look of fixation, and when he hears your heartbeat pick up his jealousy acts up and is about to remind you that he’s right here and you better stop with this shameful oogling, but when he peeks over your shoulder he discovers you rewatching an edit of him over and over again and oh. oh okay. but why am i moving in slow-motion??

“It’s a thirst trap,” you explain, smiling sheepishly.

“It’s a what?” Homelander looks more bewildered than you’ve ever seen him.

The way it clicks in his brain is nearly audible. He huffs a laugh. “Well, you should have just said that. That makes sense.”

You roll your eyes, but can’t keep the smile from your face. “You’re going to be insufferable about this.”

He gives a noncommittal shrug. “You’re the one watching it on repeat.”

Sure enough, you hear him humming that same tune for the rest of the day.

So I have a tradition with my two irl besties. Where if one of us develops a new special interest/hyperfixation. We make a PowerPoint about it and present it to the others like a school report.

Over a year ago, before I joined this fandom proper.

I did make one about Redacted. It was 42 slides. This is still chillin in my files.
