I’m not exactly sure where this realization came from but like

I listened to the first audio of Fred and Bright eyes a couple months back via a Google drive, and I genuinely don’t get why people hated Bright Eyes so much?? Like

Okay, they were walking around an abandoned amusement park at night and were nosy despite Fred telling them not to, but if we’re going by that logic Lovely and Darlin’ / Tank would also be bad people, right?

Darlin’ for lying to David and going out on their own to hunt Quinn down, And Lovely for doing the exact same thing Bright Eyes did, Walking around an abandoned amusement park at night! And yes, you could argue that if Fred & Bright weren’t there in the first place they wouldn’t have been attacked, but from my understanding if they were able to be turned via Sam, they were previously human and had no knowledge of supernatural creatures such as vampires existing due to co-vert and such!

Justice for fred and bright eyes, so sad I didn’t get to experience them firsthand

dude why didnt it click for me sooner thats LITERALLY why bright eyes is gone

everyone seemed to forget that the characters' portrayal of events isnt always going to be 100% correct, they are fueled by emotion, they have their own biases, their experiences are shaping how they view other characters

bright eyes isnt just some dumb reckless villain and in the heat of sam's anger and panic he forgot that they were probably terrified and confused themselves. bright isnt right, but sam's response was also inappropriate because they didnt have any malicious intent.

in fact as far as they were concerned, it would be crazy to think that the danger they were in was THAT serious because they have been raised their entire life magic isnt real.

but sam didnt have that nuance cuz hes not got all the context us as the audience have, nor any of the objectivity. and so bright got crucified.

like i knew, this was the case for bright BUT IT DIDNT HIT ME THAT DARLIN IS A VICTIM OF THIS UNRELIABLE NARRATION, and so some people (possibly because of their attachment to other characters? idk who knows) arent seeing their whole character, but seeing them through the eyes of other people chat i CANNOT

some of the fandom see them as darlin, sam's mate, some see tank, david's pack mate/subordinate, some see precious, quinn's ex, i personally think that they're all parts of a whole person and they are so much more complicated than their relationship to other canon characters.

I feel that Vincent has baby face and he uses he bangs to hide how young he is. Porter only really found out in that conversation before summit.

Porter and sam are two oldest members in the clan(biologically outside of william).

William still have his oldest crown that got made centuries ago.

Sam still has his award for best healer he got before being turn. He looks at it with somber remembrance.

Do you guys ever think.. Sam grew up and actually tried to make things better with Bright after being with Darlin'- Because how similar they could be at times- like the 3rd punch he threw at Quinn meant something- you could hear it in his voice...

I've been thinking a lot about the

Quinns victims look like darlin

And can I say, I've always had the idea that darlin and bright eyes are similar as people

But now I've got a new head cannon

It's pretty common fir people to change emotional and physical after leaving someone abusive

So what if the way darlin looked when they were with quinn , looks pretty different then the darlin sam meet

And say bright eyes looks like the darlin quinn knew and that was his first darlin look alike, it was brutal , he was fueled by so much rage and jealously, seeing the darlin look alike with someone else

Sam didn't connect the dots for a month or two, maybe bright eyes hair dye starts to fade. Or darlins hair changes to a similar cut . There facial features are very similar but a simple lip piercing make it hard to see it at first.

Darlin knew, they knew the first time they saw bright eyes. It filled them with so much guilt that they couldn't look them in the eye. Darlin avoided every place and event the bright eyes might be.

Sam put it together, but he didn't know what to do, he was still mending the relationship with bright eyes, and he could feel darlins pain.

i’m listening to vincent’s ba from april of last year and he was talking about feeling lovely’s pleasure through the bond and it got me thinking about poor sam

so if he can feel freddy’s pleasure, and freddy can feel bright’s, is sam getting fred’s AND bright’s pleasure through the bond??? that poor poor man

if those two are fucking on a regular basis (which i assume they are because in my brain, they live happily ever after together in redacted purgatory) sam’s gotta be sitting there like this every time
