A random headcanon: i know its not like this in the show, since both Scott and Liam are able to find Corey when hes invisible, but i think he should really be able to disappear completely. I think when he turns invisible, his scent and his heartbeat should be totally indetectable to any supernatural too. Even supernaturals shouldn't be able to detect him!!

He also should use his ability way more and for anything, just in day to day life, just cause its fun. Through that he also learns tricks like only disappearing his head but not his body, scaring the absolute crap out of Liam the first time he does it. He also sometimes accidentally turns invisible when he's sleeping, and the whole McCall pack has spent at least one whole afternoon frantically searching for him all over when he was just curled up in the armchair in the corner of the room taking a good old nap.

General Opinion over said character: when I first watched the show i found him pretty plain and boring, mostly because I don't think they utilized him and his abilities enough. I have since read some great fics and reconstructed my own image of him and he's a great character!! So much potential to be such a fun character. He's such a little shit, and he's also really brave and a great friend. I like it when fic authors make him hold a grudge against Theo for longer too for example. It gives him a depth that I really like. He's not just this happy go lucky guy, especially not after the stuff he went through.

As a CIA operative though, his paternal instincs mixed with years of experience made him technically a "monster" in self defence, he can't let his son/daughter be beaten up by some street ass punks so self defense lessons it is.

No matter your biological sex, bring with you: pepper spray, teaser, and a portable knife, that guy will check your bag every time before going out with your friends. He be like: "Have you brought everything with you?" "Yes dad, now can I go?" You can never be too sure so he checks your bag like a police inspection, the last thing he needs to do is to call the scientific departament of the police.

Doesn't want you to smoke, smoking is bad. Drinking is good though, he'll bring you out with his work mates for a drink every now and then (When you will be 18, fuck the age of 20).

You know, now let's go into the more specific situations:

1) He has a daughter, and...I believe he didn't know shit about periods so when you got your first he was as ignorant as you. "Dad...why am I bleeding from down there?" "Good ass question, we are gonna find out why", luckly he had one of those mini pads for girls around the age of 12 so he taught you to put them every time you had your period but other than that? He was ignorant. (After Woods learned he had a daughter, he bought him one of those packages. Adler wanted to strangle the man)

It took him two weeks of research to finally determine how to behave in these situations. Still, as you got older, it was difficult to know what to do when you were angry as fuck in one of those phases. You were quickly angry and then sad because he butterfly was eaten by the backyard spider.

He was watching as you...his 17 years old daughter...cried....for a freaking butterfly. 0_0 that was his reaction.

Time flies by when he smells love in the air. Being the sneaky bastard he was he dug into what he could find to determine if you had a lover.

But alas, that is young love and young love means two things: gay or straight. He often heard about parents kicking out their children because they loved a person of the same sex and he could not quite comprehend why. He knew how to torture someone, make them insane and what not, he found a reason for that, but to kick out someone for THAT reason? He was no troglodite.

"Dad, I am lesbian" "Cool, I am Adler" deep down he always wanted to crack one of those jokes. But in all seriousness, he didn't care if his daughter dated a guy or a girl. He just wanted his precious sun to be happy.

2) He has a son: not much to say. Doesn't care if his son wanted to do ballet, like a good father, during shows he would yell " AND YOU CALL THAT A PIROUETTE? PUT YOUR HEART INTO IT!". Still self defense it is and that whole lotta baggage.

He has many enemies and they would do anything to hurt him, better stay safe and sound.

His son was gay? Good, more people to help him repair that god forsaken sink and his old ass crusty truck. (ahah being a good father he would teach his possible daughter that too. W INDIPENDENCE)

As his kid gradueted, it was time to search for a stable job. The only thing that he prohibits is going in the CIA or the military, he knows how these enviroments work, and he doesn't want you to get stained by those worms.

Maybe he'll allow you to join the military but only if you promise him not to go in Iraq to die for a nation that doesn't care about you. Just normal Guards of the nation (sorry Idk how they are called) is fine

Do you have any hcs abt how Curt and Owen "came out" to one another? (Using the term loosely cuz obviously they can't just be like "IM GAY") And also how they got together (who fell first etc etc)

Ok, so to preface this, my favourite thing about curtwen is just how many ways you can interpret their pre-canon relationship.

I try to keep their story relatively loose in my head, save for a few headcanons I very strongly believe in, because it's more fun this way.

For me, the #1 headcanon that's in all the iterations I think of, is that they hated each other at first. I think their personalities clash way too much for them to be all buddy-buddy on the first day. (Physical attraction? maybe. Was it minuscule compared to their irritation with each other? yes.)

I just think it's interesting how the two of them gradually (and begrudgingly) start to care about each other.

I think their "friendship stage" is one of my favourite parts about the whole thing. Now I refuse to believe either of those men have friends. Maybe coworkers and acquaintances, but not friends. Which is why this stage lasts so little.

As their work their way up to care for and respect each other, both of them go a little crazy about it.

It's the first time in years or even decades they felt genuine affection and maybe even trust, and both of them are extremely starved for it. So it really doesn't take much for them to fall for each other. (especially since the aforementioned physical attraction was always there and only getting stronger as they learned to tolerate each other)

I imagine, because of this, Owen was the one who fell first, and he employed his usual tactic for dealing with unwanted feelings: Being an ass and depriving himself of good things. He got more intense about his work, trying to immerse himself in it, so he'll stop thinking about Curt. He stayed up late, didn't even try to take it easy when he had a migraine, drank shit coffee and other great things.

It technically worked. He looked like shit, which in turn made Curt worried, and if Owen completely invalidated his worries the two of them would get into a fight, be mad at each other and not interact so much. Owen thought this would make him not yearn for Curt so bad (he still did, in fact, yearn for him that bad)

When Curt realized he was in love with Owen he was pretty horrified. Like listen. If someone has commitment issues it's Curt. Maybe he had a boyfriend or two during his teenage years/twenties, but they didn't end well, and since then he's been trying to keep everybody at arms length. He convinced himself Owen wasn't so bad because hey. They were just buddies (and Curt desperately needed a buddy.)

He tried to shove down and ignore his feelings, but moaning your friend's name while banging another guy may just be a little more than what you can avoid.

He never understood why Owen turned so cold suddenly, and he was terrified Owen just didn't like or trust him anymore. In turn he was also mad at him for trying to shut him out.

Their little hate renaissance could only last so long though. They were still each other's only friends and no matter what they did they kept being drawn back to each other.

This was a super long preface but. I am not normal about those two.

So. different scenarios and headcanons and whatnot

1. Either one of them somehow discovers the other is gay. This would probably mean Owen finding out about Curt, because, I wholeheartedly believe that man would leave during a mission sometimes just to get a quick fuck in. Maybe Owen finds out with evidence (fast & easy method) or he just starts strongly suspecting with his great spying and deduction skills (slow & torturous method, he'd try to convince himself he's just seeing what he wants to see) either way, the confrontation would be very uncomfortable for both of them. Curt would deny it ofc, and Owen would go through the internal battle of "tell him it's fine, you won't rat him out, but be a little homophobic about it, so maybe you can keep the only friend you have, but also be ok with the fact that he'll always be with other men and never you" or "tell him you're gay too, maybe he likes you, maybe not, and potentially risk losing your job and livelihood and everything you've ever worked for" He'd most likely end up doing the latter, surprising both Curt and himself. (He's already way more into Curt than he admits to himself) And things escalate from there.

2. Dramatic post mission (maybe a "I thought I'd never see you again" moment) This is where their friendship gets really interesting to me. For a scenario like this the months long yearning is a given, maybe even a lot of unresolved tension between the two (which would probably be resolved with violence anyways) They care very deeply about each other by now. They know each other better than anyone, and their idyllic relationship is only made into a living hell by all the pining. At this point I mean, they'd buy each other birthday gifts, go over to the other's house when they were in the same country and share way too much info over drinks. Their job is always dangerous, but even they can get scared. Maybe we're talking being crazy outnumbered, or a torture/hostage situations, or hell even a collapsing building. Point is, id either one of them thought the other (or both of them) may die, at this point they'd be impulsive enough to just say I love you or kiss the other. In the moment neither of them would care, and later on, when you'd normally talk about things like near death makeout sessions, they'd just. not. do that, because communication is for guys with better life prospects. This one has absolutely no coming-out talk in it, simply because they don't need it

3. Possibly drunk hookup Now clearly, we are talking about two of the most down bad men ever. This is one scenario, I think could also work really well when they still really hated each other. Maybe throughout their first few mission they both gathered enough evidence and sussed each other out, and after (yet another) explosive fight they might just. Alleviate the tension by not beating each other up but by. other means. They don't end up talking much about it, but it keeps happening, and wait maybe they don't even hate each other all that much. (This is the more sober option) The other one is where the "possibly drunk" comes in. If they've been friends for a while, they probably got used to working around each other and finding comfort in the other's presence. This includes little habits, inside jokes, and even (very small) physical touches. This probably wouldn't go down during a mission, it's more likely to happen at either Curt's or Owen's house, maybe during some holiday. Both of them realizing it's a pretty bad idea early on, because, without all the stress of the missions and navigating a foreign country all that's left is them and the feelings they have for each other. Owen would probably say no to drinks for the first few times, just to avoid a potentially dangerous situation, but Curt would wear him down eventually. Now, with both of them drunk and comfortable, it wouldn't take much for things to escalate. Maybe Curt forgets to take his hand off of Owen after patting him on the back, or Owen holds Curt gaze for a little too long. Either way, those two end up fucking. The next day both of them are a little horrified, but they manage to come clean about their feelings (even if it's in the most backwards and convoluted way possible)

Happy ending (or not) There's many more ways it could've happened, but I already wrote wayyyy too much I think.

sure! so my obvious example here is that i think it's...pretty obvious to me as a reader...that mxtx has a Thing for noncon. i've got a 5-part meta series on how sexual abuse is a theme in svsss (and it doesn't even address maigu ridge or the epilogues bc they're too emotionally intense for me!); in terms of mdzs, along with the stuff where it's clearly a deliberately roleplayed kink from wangxian, there's also phoenix mountain--here's my favorite meta on that, which does a very good job of exploring the homophobia angle, but i think it downplays the family trauma angle, the way that every character in mdzs is grappling with their parents and the fear of becoming them. in the books we get the lan parent backstory--that qingheng-jun kidnapped and raped madam lan in order to save her from society executing her--shortly before we get lwj admitting to "i want to take him back to the cloud recesses and hide him but he is not willing". that's thematic! it's the same theme in many ways as e.g. jiang cheng's relationship with jin ling! the ways they are doing better than their parents but not perfectly because they're deeply traumatized and don't have any other models is very very thematically resonant with the rest of the work! and, also, noncon is totally a fetish of mxtx's. like. no question imo. oh here's another good meta on that kiss. she's in general fascinated with characters who are afraid of their own desires and/or their own capacity for violence, and the way those overlap, and the way that intersects with homophobia and the specter of the predatory gay man, and ofc trauma history, and these are all true even outside of 'fetish' reasons--and also the way she writes noncon scenes, and how often she writes them, makes me go "yeah i'm pretty sure this is the author's kink" lol

or take the fact that in all three of her books a character is ~deaged somehow (lbh's qi deviation in the extras; incense burner extra in mdzs, which is admittedly complicated but definitely playing with Age Stuff; hc deaging due to the opening of mt tong'lu; and the amnesia extra). that's four times! and while 3/4 are in the extras and are less central to the story, each time it is imo exploring relevant themes and giving good characterization and character beats. it's also, like.....a lot of the stuff she's doing with it (what if someone who had to be strong and powerful was vulnerable had to be taken care of? how does an adult feel, looking back, about their teenage sexuality?) are why people like ageplay. it's much less sexual than the noncon she writes imo but fetishes are .... not exclusively sexual? and it's not all totally #pure lol, cf incense burner extra but also tbh a lot of the other bits are also kinda sexually/romantically charged from at least one character on account of It's A Romance Novel, She Is Working In The Romance Genre

or-- i've talked about the phoenix mountain scene, let's talk about the land of the tender. the land of the tender is so fucking fetishy. what if the man you're in love with got sex pollened and you're trapped in an enclosed space together and there keep being excuses where you Have To touch his hair and his chest and there are sex demons taunting you with the image of him naked. not to mention it's also doing noncon stuff (them both nonconsensually being exposed to the land of the tender; xie lian's fears that he might hurt hua cheng) and age stuff (hua cheng is younger than xie lian and going through his sexual awakening). there's also.... xie lian is afraid of hurting others but ultimately would rather stab himself and take it onto himself than do so. hua cheng is desperate to protect xie lian but ultimately not fully able to do so. there's the whole thing about how lust and murder are the same and can be substituted one-to-one for each other--which, honestly, sadomasochism could be its own bullet point here, especially in tgcf, bc approximately every time it comes up mxtx is hitting us over the head with "self-harm and other-harm and sex are all the same" which is! once again! thematically relevant! in the land of the tender scene, xie lian is repressing his sexual desires and repressing his desire for murder and within this scene, these are seen by him as the same thing. and also at the same time this scene is doing stuff with the line between soldier/civilian, the way civilians can also hurt people/assist in the war and does this mean we shouldn't help them or should even kill them, and the fact that xie lian is being set up by bwx to be hurt for his kindness but at the same time his kindness to hua cheng saves him. it's a sex pollen scene that plays with multiple kinks!!! and it's such a central part of the narrative and it's engaging with multiple themes of the book!!!

or let's take feminization. she is doing different things with all of her couples and how all of them relate to femininity, and she clearly cares a lot about gender and queerness and both the freedom of gender nonconformity and the vulnerability of being in a feminized or transfeminized position and has a lot of interesting things to say on the topic and so on. she establishes wwx's feelings on gender in many ways, not all of which are sexualized at all....but also she has wwx produce natural lubricant in dreams a la omegaverse (and this is a deliberate choice, because it's only in dreams, and so it adds to my understanding of wwx as a character and how wwx relates to gender-- but that doesn't make "in this sex scene the bottom can get wet naturally" not a kink thing). she also spends really a lot of pagetime in tgcf coming up with thin excuses for xie lian to crossdress! like, this is A Thing. ditto wwx and sqq being (differently) weird about pregnancy or xie lian having to pretend to be pregnant--like, these are tying to overall themes of the books, primarily though not exclusively feminization-related (also touching on parenting which is another major throughline in mxtx books that is often totally nonsexual), but that doesn't make it never a kink. and you could argue that a decent amount of this is genre convention--m/m in general often writes the bottom as very feminized--but relatedly, like, m/m that does this...... is often kinking on it. most of it doesn't incorporate it quite as deftly into the #themes but it's often a kink thing.

ummm a lot of these are kinda #problematic so for a less problematic one i'd point at inexperience/virginity/purity. she is (a) likely getting something out of it on a kink level imo (b) clearly-to-me fascinated with societal purity cultures (cf xie lian and lan wangji as the most obvious examples of this) as well as internalized homophobia (cf shen qingqiu and both of wangxian)

and also like. "this is thematic" and "this is A Fetish Thing" are not .... easily separable imo? i was talking w some friends while writing this post and i joked that you can tell which things aren't mxtx's kinks bc they aren't thematically relevant and i don't wholly stand by this but i stand by it at least a little bit. another thing i said was that ... honestly a big part of Having Kinks for me is just like, being broadly obsessed with specific stuff, thinking a lot about it, getting a lot out of it in every setting. it's just that, well, "every setting" includes sex and kink! and mxtx has very clear (to me) fascinations in her work that recur over and over again. some of those, like scapegoating and how a mob's opinion can turn on a dime, don't really get heavily incorporated into her writing on sex and sexuality, but most of them...do, because she's writing danmei. even less direct Fetish Stuff like e.g. rejection of a bigoted society's morality, when written by mxtx, is often written about thru the lens of sexuality. i can look at some stuff and go "yeah this is definitely a kink for her imo" but it's hard to draw a clear line for all of it? but she writes about a lot of topics she's clearly Fascinated By (whether sexually or not, although I'd be willing to wager a decent amt of it is sexual lol), and she writes about sex a lot, and the intersection of this is generally Kinda Fetish-Adjacent, and also bc she's a phenomenal writer approximately everything she writes is intentionally advancing at least one theme or characterization point and often more than one & approximately all the scenes outside the extras are also advancing the plot on some level

point is she's got a lot of thematically relevant fetishes.

I feel like Allison wouldn't tiptoe around the things Neil's been through or done. She's been straight up with him before about all of his lies and how she doesn't/didn't trust him, so I think if there's something on people's minds, she's not going to step around it or avoid the elephant in the room. If she's pissed, she'll tell him. If she doesn't understand something, she'll say it. But I think Neil would appreciate that more than knowing people are talking about him but won't just come up and ask him something themselves. It'd feel more normal if she addressed it, rather than just leaving a tension in the air/nobody feeling like they can joke about it or anything with him.

God, grief works weird. I think she cried. A lot. I love this question!! Unfortunately since TBHK is so heavily focused on romance, I don’t have many. Ofc aroace ppl can still date but fandoms tend to ignore the nuance of that statement and put them into relationships without considering what that means for them. I like to look at it a bit deeper because aroace headcanons do have some importance to me. My sister is aroace so every time I see a headcanon for a character being aspec I have to let her know lol. So before I get into this list I just wanted to say to any aroace ppl who see this, I love ya’ll, ya’ll are doing great <3

Nobody murder me, I’m going to explain. Typically I’m not a fan of aroace villains bcuz the trope has some nasty implications. That doesn’t mean no villain character can ever be headcanoned as aroace but I need some very good reasons before sticking with a headcanon like that. And for Tsukasa, I have my reasons!! A lot of fans tend to agree that he shouldn’t be in a relationship with anybody and that used to really annoy me because I don’t like the whole “this character is clearly mentally ill therefore they get no love” thing. I know it goes deeper than that with him being generally abusive but still. Eh. There are people with disorders that make them bad partners and those people are still very capable of getting therapy and improving. Plus most fans who say that claim to love toxic ships to like???

I’m not really a fan of any Tsukasa ships tho (I used to crack ship TsuAoi but those days are over) so I figured I would actually put some effort into giving a reason as to why he doesn’t do relationships. Rather than go the whole “he could hurt other people” route, I wanted to focus more about how Tsukasa himself would feel about dating. And to be honest? I don’t think he’d like it! He’s definitely interested in relationships as a concept but I don’t think he’s the type to take them seriously. I try to use this headcanon to humanize Tsukasa rather than demonizing him like a lot of people do with aroace villain headcanons. Love is very important to him on a platonic level but romance just isn’t his thing. And it creates a nice contrast in fics between him and characters whose lives center so much around romance. My sister actually is the one who introduced me to this hc and every aroace hc she has is law so I abide by it lmao

This one is way more recent but it makes so much sense to me. If you want to talk about characters who are more realistically potentially aroace, Tsuchigomori has never expressed the desire for a love interest in canon. When most adult male characters are single in fiction it’s seen as a problem (at least in a comedic sense), but with Tsuchigomori none of the characters question it. I feel like he has some level of interest in romance, maybe demiromantic?? But overall romantic attraction isn’t something he experiences easily

This one is more based on vibes and me hunting down every TBHK character that doesn’t have an arc connected to romantic attraction. I don’t think he realized it when he was alive because the people in his village didn’t talk about asexuality/aromanticism much. Maybe he thought he was gay but that didn’t quite feel right because his disinterest in women extended to everyone. He seems like the type to love being surrounded by people and be generally very personable, so his platonic relationships are very important to him. Just no romance

I know you specifically asked for aroace characters but I 100% see this man as demiromantic, and maybe demisexual too. Possibly completely asexual, though leaning more towards the positive side of the spectrum (or just neutral). Emotions don’t come easily to this man so love is a complicated subject but I do believe he’s capable of loving people romantically, just under specific circumstances and not in the traditional sense

But basically what I said was that I think there’s a surprising lack of facials in byler fics. We have two of the most handsomest prettiest men portraying our boys who would look 100x better with a mess on their face (noah especially oh my GOD 😵‍💫) and it’s such a common trope in both straight and gay porn already so I just find it strange how there doesn’t seem to be many of it in the fics.

I know a lot of the community follows you so to all byler smut fic writers: I wanna see more facials. I think Mike should blow his load on Wills face more. At least in my fandom travels, I don't exactly see a facial as very kinky but I think in fanfiction land it's VERY kinky maybe. And people more commonly want to write penetration and finishing inside, or blowjobs. This one isn't common in general for sure. Also, it's rather messy, yes? Not a lot of messy, realistic sex in fic which is personally how I write. And people skip over actually writing anything with cum to be honest (still can't decide in fic if I should use cum or come because people are sooo passionate about word choice haha) and it's often skipped over the reality of men finishing in these smut scenes which is fine, that's fine I guess - you can't really skip it in a facial, that's the main ingredient here 😅 I mean, a lot of authors across many fandoms get squeamish and refuse to even think about rimming and definitely won't write it, and if I don't have a character getting their ass ate in a fic or referencing it very least, am I even the author 🤭 Facials might be even more outlandish to consider, idk. - His type is uhh. Mean ppl. He hates to admit it though and makes excuses for his partner/crush

As for rin lives au hc.. I have some comforting ones! (they're Kakarin though)

1. After Obitos and Minatos death Kakashi spirals down and joins anbu. Rin joins as well to keep an eye on him and just be there.

2. She is in great relationship with team 7! The kids love her since Rin is the only person that can tease Kakashi and he kind of flusters. Rin even 'helped' team 7 to unmask Kakashi (they failed ofc but it was fun).

3. Rin spends lots of time with Kakashis ninken. Yes, they're ninja, but they're still dogs and love a good rub behind the ear. She knitted him matching sweaters, insists some sleep in their bed so there's no space left for Kakashi.

4. I think she went on studying medical jutsu.

5. She can get angry. Usually she is calm and thoughtful, but there are few things that can set her off and it's better not to be close.

6. She probably has funny dynamic with Gai, always rotting for him in their competitions with Kakashi. Just to annoy the latter one (:
