WHY DOES NO ONE MENTION YOU CAN MOVE TAGS ON A POST?!?!

Hi yes hello, I don’t usually make these kinds of posts. But I just found out something that if you’re like me and you ramble in the tags and you say shit out of order with your train of thought because brains do that. And I’ve been retyping them and trying to remember my own words-

You. Can move. The. Tags.

At least on Mobile you can, I don’t know about desktop but THIS IS HUGE FOR SOMEONE WITH ADHD THAT ALSO LIKES TO KEEP THOUGHTS ORGANIZED BUT DOESN’T WANNA RETYPE SOMETHING BECAUSE YOU’LL FORGET WHAT YOU EXACTLY SAID

To move a tag, just press and hold it and then slide it along to find where you want to put it. You might need to set it in one spot and scroll then move it again if you have a wall of tags like I do when I ramble.

I flipping had to make an oc based off of @elmushterri ‘s new oc universe!!!

So here is my oc!!

She’s an older knight who lost her head during her death!! She doesn’t like leaving the knight realm often since she can’t replace her head in anyway.

How’d she die? Well she got caught in a giant fire trying to help people escape, she was the last person stuck in there, while she tried to exit she tripped and rubble fell onto her, destroying her head, she burned in the fire and died 😓😓🔥🔥

Her head is now fire 😝😝😛😛!!!

She was fun to design lol 🤺🖼️🎨

I started this as soon as I saw @elmushterri's post, I love their colour scheme sm! (It's a bit sketchy but ah well!)

Okay, so I’ve been absolutely enamoured with The Knights Handbook by @/elmushterri here on Tumblr that I just had to draw myself in it!! (And also reignited how much I love draw and render armor)

I went for a more period typical look bc I couldn’t resist, but I did try and sketch out a design that might be more accurate

I decided to go for an older Knight, bc heho I love the medieval age (died protecting the family farm 🫡🫡💪💪) so the mortal wound is this big diagonal slash on the chest, and the weapon is a flintlock pistol bc as much as I love sword fighting I’m not too familiar w/ bc I LIVE IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE AND CANT JOIN NO MATTER HOW MUCH I WANT TO 😭😭

so firearm it is bc I at least know how to use those

I’d also be rogue knight I think bc I have a tendency to do I as please for better or worse

due to Asta being literally blind and not being able to write properly, I like to think her book has a mind of its own, knowing when Asta wants to talk with someone else. When she gets a message from someone else, the book will state the message aloud

TW FOR NEXT DRAWING: Atempts of drawing burn marks on eyes

Asta, experiencing death only to be revived and still see nothing, is kinda terrifying. Like, Asta would know what just happened to her when she became a knight, she didn't need to look to feel it.

Ik elmush said when revived most of the time they live in their old houses. So Asta coming back to life, not being able to see her parents, is also sad.

However for Asta, after the incident, her neighbors called the cops and her dad got arrested! However, Asta's mother was mad at her, trying to defend his actions

Because of that Asta and her mother got into a fight and Asta left. She hasn't seen any of her other family since

hello! first of all, i love the concept of an illustration tournament! all of the illustrations add a more in depth feeling to doyle's stories, and there's something about those crisp lines. it's wonderful good to see there's someone engaging with them and taking the time for this poll! i myself have been looking for different illustrations of hutchinson's and paget's but i haven't found any good scans like the ones you post on your page. i was wondering if they were your scans or perhaps you had found them somewhere? i would love to know where to find them! cheers!

i definitely dont have any original scans unfortunately (i do have a 1912 strand annual at home but alas, no holmes stories that year 😔) but i have a few sources i got illustrations for the bracket from, plus just editing/cleaning up what i could of the ones that i couldnt find in better quality. i'v said a bit of this before but i havent actually gone through with links/explanations so:

Wikisource-UK Strand Holmes Portal - missing most of the Return collection for some reason, but a great source for Adventures, Memoirs, and Casebook, plus HOUN. generally good quality resolution but a bunch are edited to have transparent backgrounds which can be annoying depending on how you're trying to use it. (probably your best bet if you love those crisp-lined paget ones from Memoirs, which are also a lot of my favourites dskfdk)

And then more generally you can find a lot of stuff just clicking around the individual stories' pages on wikisource and wikimedia commons, im not gonna link to all those for the sake of brevity but theyre easy to find

ACD Encyclopedia - im linking directly to STUD so you can see the page format but at the bottom of each story's page is a more or less full list of known illustrations, these are not always great quality but its a good place for reference and there are a few where this was the only source i could find at all (the Steele piece for DYIN comes to mind)

Archive.org: Strand // Collier's // Hearst's Intl etc . The strand scans are pretty comprehensive but vary wildly in quality from some of the best ive found to ones so covered in moiree artifacts that they were not even salvagable. But especially for the later stories with Wiles and Elcock, it was often the only reliable source. Collier's is missing a lot of issues but you can sometimes find things and at least the covers are usually good. Hearst's i can only find for 1923 but its a rly good scan so if anyone can find the 21, 22, and 24 from the same source im 👀.

and I have had no luck at all locating online resources for the other magazines but i love seeing the pages in their original context so im kind of passively looking all the time lmao

I thinkk that covers where i got everything, obviously its been a while since i was doing all this so i might have missed something and there may be other places i never found, but these were the major sources i used at the time. Im not sure if this will help with Hutchinson since i was focusing on first publications only and im pretty sure he was only on book collections iirc? But i think his are on wikimedia at least.

i think more business owners should look inward when they complain about issues. is it annoying to have to hire multiple times a year? yes, absolutely. WHY do you think the turnover is so high if everyone says they enjoy the work?? surely. no. it couldn't be the person in charge.

We're reading portions of Cennino Cennini's "Il libro dell'Arte" for my Renaissance art and science class (it's a 15th century painter's handbook, for those unfamiliar) and I'm completely incapable of being normal about this passage. Yes for Pentiment reasons. Listen.

Really sketchy thing I did of a TKH OC! I'll probably do a more refined piece of him in the future, who knows!

Kanu was an odd jobs man(????) before he died. They worked from job to job to earn money for herself and her little sister. Their parents were filthy rich but died when they were younger, their next of kin, legal guardian was their aunt, who took the money and ran.

On Kanu's last job, they were double crossed by their employer who didn't want to pay them. So Kanu took the money and was about to run off when his former employer revealed that he had captured Kanu's little sister. After a tussle, Kanu was able to get her sister from them, but while doing so, she noticed a red dot on her sister's forehead. There was barely any time between when she saw the sniper's projection and when the bullet hit her in the eye (ouch).

Kanu is overall pretty chill. They're very resourceful, but also the type of person to drop the most jaw dropping lore in the middle of a conversation about croissants and never bring it up again. They pull their weapon from their mortal wound where their right eye should be. (Kind of like Quanxi if you get me). There it is! It could use some work but that's all I've got for now.
