Did some quick Donnies with my fountain pen and a water brush~

And here's a few from last week that I did with a fountain pen with a different nib - a fude tip that's bent so it kind of mimics brush strokes. I used to not like using them but this one's growing on me.

Always wanted to try drawing one of Franz Marc's animals. Here is my quick mini-study based on his "Two Blue Donkeys" done in ink (using my current favorite - Pilot Desk Fountain Pen in EF), and colored pencils. It is on a note to a librarian - hoping to borrow Franz Marc's sketchbook that was published in 2016.

Day 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19:

So I remembered that I have a set of (expensive qwq) alcohol markers, and only after having drawn the void of space remembered that ink seeps through paper...

Also wanted to switch it up and try using my Polish rollerball pen!

This is what happens when I want to feel out what their clothes look like when I know what the characters look like. It’s all about silhouettes.

My thoughts here were: Kermit has a bulky jacket and layers underneath. Since his collar was messing with things, why not have an emblem? Gonzo has scarves and a double breasted tunic thing. And Fozzie is an alien with some tunic and vest action.

I did this Peter Rabbit master study using fountain pen, colored pencils and watercolor in a Moleskine sketchbook.

Some birdies and other critters from my sketchbook. I very much enjoy drawing with fountain pens. The water solubility of the ink allows for both soft or expressive shading, depending on how confident I feel on a given day!

Day uuuuuuhhhhhhh:

So my lamy safari arrived and I've been using it with parker quink (also got a converter!) and so far it is much much nicer to my joints compared to a ballpoint pen... Also has the thought of 'inktober is a creative exercise, why be so uncreative with the layout?' so from now on I'm going to draw the drawing and it comes out whatever size and shape it wants to be :D
