Tell me more about Mikey becoming a vampire can they save him?

Sooo...

(This is all heavily abridged from a mission with light TTRPG elements in one of the journal-based games I play Donnie on)

The boys (sans Raph), accompanying Earthspark!Megatron, went on a mission that unexpectedly pit them against a blood mage that their crew has previously encountered. Long story short, said blood mage took control of Leo and Mikey through her magic and made them attack Megatron, while also having her mushroom warden also attack him (Cybertronians are not popular in this universe, go figure).

Donnie manages to get back to the protective light/barrier of a special lantern that they'd been given to guide them, but he's at a loss when he sees his brothers being controlled, and as the fight progresses he finds himself alone with the lantern and no idea what he can or should do. A voice speaks to him from the lantern then, saying that it wants to help, and asking him to open it. Tapping into his mystic abilities, and subconsciously thinking of how brave and strong Leo's been, trying to protect and keep them safe in Raph's absence, Donnie releases whatever power's in the lantern, and it goes to Leo, breaking him free of the blood mage's control and granting him its ability to heal.

Mikey however fails another fortitude save and starts growing spikes and stuff, falling deeper under the blood mage's control. Leo desperately tries to get through to him but emotionally he's falling apart too because he feels like he's failing his brother. Eventually Mikey does break free from it with the blood mage's defeat, but not without lingering side-effects that they have thus far not discovered. They are only aware that something's stuck with him (he still has little fangs after all), but so far no one's triggered his vampyre hunger where he starts changing back into some red-tinged, spiky monster with claws. ...but fixing that is another mission that will involve a trip to the blood mage's mansion later on. :]

...this could have all been potentially reversed and Leo on the vamp end if Donnie had chosen otherwise with the lantern.

....took me how long to figure out what all this 'op' business was and that it was in fact not "over-powered."

Okay! So I've outlined and scanned the original images I drew and worked off of for my felt turtle ornaments. (...I still need to find string so I can hang them up...)

(Lookit those vacant expressions. I cannot take them seriously) I hadn't really thought about separating any of the pieces for the different felt colors while I was working on them because I guess I'm weird.... It didn't occur to me to do so until I was doing Mikey lol

ANYWAY, feel free to make use of them...somehow. Bake cookies even! XD;;;

Did some quick Donnies with my fountain pen and a water brush~

And here's a few from last week that I did with a fountain pen with a different nib - a fude tip that's bent so it kind of mimics brush strokes. I used to not like using them but this one's growing on me.

Donnie originally was going to have a smile like the first two but his expression killed me after the first four stitches so I decided to keep him that way.

That basically sums up my response to seeing the number.

When I slipped onto Tumblz last year I wasn't sure what to expect. To be honest I am still not sure. I figured it is a place to just dump tortol pictures. I like drawing them. I'm happy to see that people enjoy them.

I wasn't sure how things worked at first (and a lot of things I am still unsure of how it works, this site is still really confusing ok) but thank you all so much for your support and interest! Your reblog tags are fun to read and make me cackle a lot at times, especially you repeat offenders. I'm thankful for those I've gotten to talk to and even if I don't talk a whole lot, I appreciate you all and the words you take the time to leave for me.

Of course, this isn't all going to be words.

For the occasion I've decided to do a DTIYS. I've decided to also open it to drabble, because I know a lot of people out there write rather than draw, and I thought it'd be fun to have an open opportunity for either. Of course figuring out a picture that would work for both was tricky, so I hope this suffices!

I decided to go with the Fang!AU for this one since I wanted to draw something closer to the canon. I could not resist doing something silly

All your costume designs for the turtles are cool. What’s the AU about?

Thankyu! It's actually a text-based RPG played over a journal comm. The setting is Transformers-centric but it's open to multifandoms, so I've got Donnie on there aside from a few other characters from other series.

Basically characters have gotten sucked into this universe via a malfunctioning Space Bridge aboard a Cybertronian ship. Earth's been destroyed by all the warring between the Autobots and Decepticons so the Galactic Council has more or less black-listed them and have exterminated most of them while what survivors there are have gone into hiding. Which...makes it an interesting time for Cybertronians from other timelines/universes aside from the other characters that are basically befriending and traveling with people others believe are dangerous and should be destroyed.

So while that's all going on, the ship's crew is also sent on basically a giant scavenger hunt to find old relics left by the Primes, and a lot of those plots are handled as TTRPG-style mission things over chat while we take turns writing out what our characters do.

The turtle boys have been doing their best helping out their big robot pals, saving people and all that good hero stuff while trying not to get too traumatized about things, because the big wide universe can be pretty terrible.

Hmmmm I don't think I have? I think the only similar question I got was in regards to the Edo!version of the boys I did.

I figure the canon lads are probably super close to negligible in regards to difference, but Leo will claim any edge he can get, even if it is by a tiny (made up) amount. XD

...but younger brother Donnie amuses me so.
