In South Africa, those with ancestral connections with indentured labourers who arrived in the country between 1860 and 1911 regard 16 November as “Arrival Day”. In many parts of the indentured diaspora, such as Mauritius, the Caribbean, Fiji, Grenada and Suriname, Arrival Day has official national recognition and is deemed a public holiday, commemorating the history and struggles of the pioneers, recognising diversity, and celebrating Indian cultural heritage, all of which undoubtedly contribute to social cohesion and nation-building. Regrettably, in South Africa there is no official national recognition, let alone a holiday on 16 November, Arrival Day of the indentured labourers. There is a superficial reference to indenture history in the school curriculum. The 1860 Heritage Centre in Durban, led by volunteer curator and director Selvan Naidoo, “serves as a beacon of hope and a reminder of the struggles of those who gave up the familiar for the unknown, and their contribution in forging an economy, an identity, and a proud legacy of human triumph in the face of adversity”.

SO MANY PEOPLE GUESSED CORRECTLY!#It wasn't that hard#We know Papyrus knows the river person#are they friends? idk BUT I PERSONALLY THINK THEY ARE#I just LOVEEE looking at the dialogue and making connections#I referenced one of the lines from the river person here...sometimes they'll ask you if you know any game you can play with a dog...#They said they were “asking for a friend...”#And I couldn't help but think about Papyrus' problem with the annoying dog LMAO#+ Papyrus seems very excited to know if the river person is there when you call him nearby that area#Okay so... now ...some comic thing that I made up but also didn't...#“FLOWEY DOESN'T KNOW WHO THE RIVER PERSON IS?”#okay so...#I feel like#It's not very common for them to be there...#When talking with Undyne around that area it's kind of *unclear* if she knows about the river person being there....#She tells you about the river connecting different areas and that you should “jump in”#She then clarifies that's the only thing they got for public transport#AND LIKE? It's unclear if she's telling you to jump in the boat (OR IF SHE KNOWS THERE'S SOMEONE WITH A BOAT) or is she's literally telling#you to jump in the river?????#Anyways...so...that's that#HEHE Flowey and Papyrus finally arrived at the house! (there will still be a post tomorrow to keep on track)#The original 3 panel comic idea was fine but the point of this new schedule was to take time to push myself a bit more.#I was taking a look back through some comic artists I felt inspired by#and I really loved how Lynda Barry fills her gutters with patterns and doodles!#Obviously I'm not going as absolutely wild with it as she does but it was a great exercise!#I truly think the gutters are the most important and most overlooked part of any comic. There's lots going on in that space.#It's the same with timeskips. The implied movement between moments that we don't see changes depending on how wide that gap is#You're here for the funny tags so here's some that ties this time talk together:#I think LWJ was thinking about that second note from day 2 but it took him 7 days of hazing to commit it to paper.#I think he sends it a day later and immediately regrets it. Chasing down the messenger and everything.#You know if something actually happened to his brother he would never ever forgive himself for putting the bad vibes out there.#Third time skip was the hardest because there was so many possible flavours of jokes here. Day 8/9 was a personal favourite.#day 14 was also funny (week by week). I think the debate on 'how long does lwj take to catch feelings' is more or less:#'how long does it take for him to arrive at a particular stage of grief and yearning (and awareness of it all)#This is a symphony. There is an act by act structure. Every day he is fighting to keep his old sensibilities. He is losing so badly.#(I'll be returning to the main comic soon but there is more of this AU to come!)

DPxDC Imagine what it would be like..
It seems that the entire DPxDC Tumblr community has come to the conclusion that Phantom King Danny is one of the most OP characters that can exist in both places….
And also a cliché in these stories is that some incident occurs and Constantine arrives with the Phantom King summoning spell to solve it, although as far as he knows, Pharia Dark is still the king.
But, let's be aware that if we stick to the more paranoid side of the wizard, we know that he will leave the option of summoning until the last resort, especially if he knows that there is a high possibility that said summoning will be a trigger for mutual destruction (of the enemy in turn and the JL)…
So, it is very likely that he will first get other options at the first opportunity he has,
Now imagine that in a mission (search for an object, stop a cult, investigate some reports) Constantine meets Danny Phantom and our favorite scammer will possibly look for a way for them to end up calling each other to solve things related to the other.
and the moment Constantine realizes that he has been "summoning" (via phone number/personal summoning seal) the new ghost king, is when the JLD and JL fail to stop the summoning of a cult that seeks world destruction/domination….
How do you think the situation would be, because I mean, everyone expects Pharia Dark, a giant Viking with so much fury and blood lust that he destroys worlds for fun and in reality they end up receiving a skinny teenager with a cup of coffee and on the verge of collapse due to final exams…
