By Dr. Faith Coleman
Remember that old saying, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”? We may need to change that to “Broccoli every day keeps the doctor away.” Earlier this year, there were articles in mainstream media about the benefits of broccoli for relieving arthritis. My search for related literature in the National Library of Medicine – National Center for Biotechnology Information was eye-opening.
Broccoli is a powerhouse of important nutrients, including fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Its natural building blocks include chemicals which are antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, and antibacterial.
The cruciferous (cabbage family) vegetable Brassica oleracea is an immune-system booster, antidiabetic, liver-protective, heart-protective, and memory-preserving. Its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties are synergistic – a powerful combination for better health.
Let’s take a closer look at all the reasons that make broccoli such an amazing food when it comes to health.
Packed with vitamins and minerals
Broccoli is high in antioxidants, including vitamins C, K, and A. It also contains several vital minerals, including potassium, calcium, and iron. These antioxidants help protect the body from oxidative stress and reduce inflammation.
High fiber content
Broccoli is dense with fiber, which feeds a sense of satiety and aids digestion, including emptying the bowels. This quality also reduces systemic inflammation while supporting the growth of healthy microbes in the gut microbiome.
Heart-protective
Broccoli’s antioxidant, anti-inflammatory properties, and fiber content help lower cholesterol and normalize blood pressure. Both are factors that reduce the risk of heart disease.

Download - Plants
Round 8 - 9!
This one was a doozy, welcome to the kitchen powerhouse; Mustard flower/plant! The Mustard Plant has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antifungal, and wound-healing properties. Whether you cook with it or apply it externally, it can fight off infections in the digestive system and cures bacterial and fungal skin infections. Seeds can be pressed to make mustard oil, or ground into spices, and the edible leaves can be eaten as mustard greens.
And its near cousin - Horseradish! , it also contains many healing properties such as dimming sciatic nerve pain, gout, and colic. Another good use is general prevention from coughs and infections. The leaves are also a good source of greens, and the root can be used for spices or preserves.
[Notes will be copied to further posts, considering they're all the same facts]
Notes:
These are giant fields. They are meant to fill empty space in CAW/Edit town - you can use them on lots, but as stated they are quite large so if you decide to use them as lot decoration hold onto your hat because they're gonna take up a chunk of ground.
I will be making smaller/single plants to match the fields, but it takes time so please be patient.
These are speedtree plants, so they'll "follow you" when you move around. However consider that any recolors of these plants will become a default replacement unless you make the package unique. So if you would like to recolor them to suit your current world, feel free to, but please make it it's own package so they don't override the original.
These are fairly large but have low polycount - coming in at 330 polys each. That means you can have several of these in one area without weighing down your game too much. That's a win for everyone.
Please feel free to tag me if you use them in your world, I love to see them in your games! <3
Throw these in your castle gardens and make all the medieval peasants jealous! lol
Enjoy!

Fire Cider Recipe 1:
Fire Cider Ingredients
2 cups apple cider vinegar
1/2 to 1 cup honey
1/2 cup horseradish
8 cloves of garlic, chopped
1/2 onion
1/2 cup ginger
1 sliced jalapeño
1/2 cup fresh turmeric OR 1 tbsp dried turmeric (optional)
1/2 lemon (optional)
1/2 orange (optional)
1 tsp peppercorns (optional)
2 whole cinnamon sticks (optional)
2 rosemary sprigs (optional)
4 thyme sprigs (optional)
Directions
Prepare ingredients and place them in a sterilized quart-sized glass jar.
Pour the apple cider vinegar and honey in the jar until all of the ingredients are covered and the vinegar reaches 1/2 inch from the jar’s top. You can use a glass fermentation weight on top to keep the ingredients submerged, but that is just a preference. Shake well. Store in a dark, cool place for a month, shaking daily. It’s in vinegar, so it won’t go bad! Once done, strain, bottle, and label.
Storage: It’s vinegar, so it keeps all winter and early spring (6 months) if left in a cool dark place. Keeps in the refrigerator for up to 10 months. You can take a dropperful every few hours, or I put 2 -3 droppers full into a big mug of hot water and drink that.
Benefits of ingredients
Ginger root – Ginger contains gingerol, an antibacterial compound that promotes body warmth, helping to fight off cold symptoms.
Horseradish root – Horseradish strongly stimulates the digestion, increasing gastric secretions and appetite. It can be of use in both respiratory and urinary tract infections. Horseradish is a natural expectorant with natural antibacterial properties. It helps in easing throat and upper respiratory tract infections. Has been used to fight cancer naturally.
Jalapeño peppers – Useful for increasing circulation and to get mucus flowing. Anti-inflammatory, pain reliever, and anti-irritant. It is used as a digestive aid to stimulates gastric juices.
Garlic – Boosts the immune function and opens pores of the skin to lower a fever. This herb’s antibacterial and antimicrobial properties make it useful in treating bladder and kidney infections, yeast infections, strep throats and ear infections.
Onion – Another cancer fighter, onion’s compound quercetin is a natural disease fighter.
Lemon – The levels of vitamin C found in the juice and peel are extremely effective against bacterial infections! Lemons act as a great potentiator in this cider recipe.
Rosemary Sprigs – This piney plant alleviates muscle pain, boosts the immune system, and relieves cough while you’re sick.
Turmeric – Turmeric increases the antioxidant capacity in your body. This means that all of the new antioxidants in this cider will have a home to live and work in!
Black peppercorns – Greatly boosts absorption of turmeric.
Apple Cider Vinegar – (Use organic) ACV kills multiple types of bacteria. When used in conjunction with the other herbs of this recipe, it becomes a powerhouse of health.
Local Raw Honey – Before becoming sick, local, raw honey helps your body fight off local infections and allergens. After becoming ill, it suppresses coughs and continues fighting off bacteria

Cashews and dental health
How they can strengthen your teeth
When we think of snacks that promote dental health, our minds might drift to crunchy vegetables, sugar-free gum, or even the occasional cheese slice. However, there's a nutty contender that's gaining recognition for its dental benefits: cashews. These creamy, delicious nuts are not only a satisfying snack but also a boon for your teeth. Let's delve into how cashews can enhance dental health and explore some delightful varieties offered by Ariga Foods.
The Dental Benefits of Cashews
Cashews are packed with essential nutrients that contribute to overall health, including vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats. Specifically for dental health, here’s why cashews are beneficial:
Rich in Phosphorus: Phosphorus is vital for the maintenance of strong teeth and bones. Cashews, being a good source of this mineral, help in strengthening the tooth enamel.
Anti-Bacterial Properties: Cashews contain anacardic acids, which have been shown to kill gram-positive bacteria. These bacteria are responsible for tooth decay and gum disease, thus regular consumption of cashews can contribute to a healthier oral microbiome.
Stimulates Saliva Production: Chewing cashews stimulates saliva production. Saliva is essential for oral health as it helps to wash away food particles and bacteria, and neutralizes acids produced by bacteria in the mouth.
Magnesium Content: Magnesium, found abundantly in cashews, works alongside calcium to support strong teeth and bones. It helps in the structural development of teeth and bones, ensuring they remain robust.
Ariga Foods' Nutty Delights
Ariga Foods offers a variety of flavored cashews that not only cater to diverse taste buds but also promote dental health. Here are some delicious options:
1. King Size Cashews
These premium cashews are larger and packed with more nutrients, making them an excellent snack for maintaining dental health. Our rich, creamy texture ensures that you enjoy every bite.
2. Cheese & Herbs Cashews
This savory blend offers a delightful taste experience. Cheese, rich in calcium, complements the dental benefits of cashews, making this snack a dual powerhouse for strengthening teeth.
3. Pudina Cashews
Infused with the refreshing taste of mint, Pudina Cashews are perfect for freshening your breath while snacking. Mint also has antimicrobial properties, further aiding in oral hygiene.
4. Tomato Cream Cashews
The tangy flavor of tomatoes combined with creamy cashews creates a unique taste sensation. Tomatoes are high in vitamins that promote gum health, adding an extra layer of benefit to this snack.
5. Himalayan Pink Salt Cashews
These cashews are lightly salted with Himalayan pink salt, which contains trace minerals beneficial for health. The salt helps in maintaining pH balance in the mouth, which is crucial for preventing tooth decay and gum disease.
6. Black Pepper Cashews
For those who enjoy a bit of spice, Black Pepper Cashews are an ideal choice. Black pepper is known for its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, which can help in maintaining healthy gums and preventing dental problems.
Conclusion
Incorporating cashews into your diet can offer numerous benefits for your dental health. Whether you're enjoying the classic King Size Cashews or indulging in flavored varieties like Cheese & Herbs or Pudina Cashews from Ariga Foods, you're not just satisfying your taste buds but also taking a step towards stronger, healthier teeth. So next time you're looking for a snack that supports your smile, reach for a handful of cashews and enjoy the nutty goodness that contributes to a brighter, healthier smile.

Get glowing skin with these top 5 natural ingredients
Looking for a way to give your skin a healthy, natural glow? Look no further than your organic skincare products! The beauty industry is buzzing with the benefits of using natural ingredients, and for good reason. These ingredients can nourish, hydrate, and protect your skin in a way that synthetic ingredients simply cannot. Here are the top 5 natural ingredients you should look for in your organic skincare products.
Aloe vera:
This succulent plant is a powerhouse of skin benefits. It's known for its soothing, hydrating, and anti-inflammatory properties, making it a great choice for anyone with dry, irritated, or sensitive skin. Look for products that contain a high concentration of aloe vera, such as a moisturizer or a face mask. To use, simply apply the product to your skin and let it absorb for a few minutes before rinsing off.
Jojoba oil:
Unlike many other oils, jojoba oil is very similar to the natural oils produced by our skin. This makes it a great choice for anyone with oily or acne-prone skin, as it can help regulate oil production without clogging pores. Jojoba oil is also very gentle on the skin and can be used as a standalone moisturizer or added to your existing moisturizer for an extra boost of hydration.
Tea tree oil:
This essential oil is known for its antibacterial and antifungal properties, making it a great choice for anyone with acne or other skin blemishes. Tea tree oil can be added to a facial toner or used as a spot treatment to help fight breakouts. It's important to note that tea tree oil should be used in small concentrations and diluted with a carrier oil, as it can be irritating to the skin in its pure form.
Rosehip oil:
This oil is packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and fatty acids that nourish and repair the skin. It's particularly effective at reducing the appearance of scars and fine lines, making it a great choice for anyone with aging skin. Look for a serum or face oil that contains rosehip oil and apply it to your skin after cleansing and toning.
Green tea extract:

The Magic of Aloe and Adhimadhuram: How This Shampoo Boosts Hair Health Naturally
In a world filled with chemical-laden hair products promising quick fixes, finding a natural, effective solution for your hair care needs feels like a blessing. Enter aloe vera and adhimadhuram (licorice root), two time-tested ingredients that have been cherished for their ability to promote hair health. When these powerhouse botanicals combine in a shampoo, they create a magic potion that nourishes, strengthens, and revitalizes your locks. Let’s dive into the wonders of these natural ingredients and how they work to give you healthier hair.
The Benefits of Aloe Vera for Hair
Aloe vera, often referred to as the "plant of immortality," has been used in hair care for centuries. Here’s why it’s a superstar:
Moisture Lock: Aloe vera is rich in water content and has humectant properties that lock in moisture, keeping your hair hydrated and shiny.
Scalp Health: Its antifungal and antibacterial properties combat dandruff and soothe itchy scalps.
Strength and Growth: Aloe vera contains proteolytic enzymes that repair dead skin cells on the scalp, promoting hair growth and preventing breakage.
pH Balancing: It restores the scalp's natural pH, ensuring an optimal environment for hair follicles to thrive.
The Power of Adhimadhuram (Licorice Root)
Adhimadhuram, or licorice root, is a lesser-known but equally potent ingredient for hair care:
Reduces Hair Loss: Licorice root contains flavonoids, phytoestrogens, and glycyrrhizin, which nourish hair follicles and prevent hair loss.
Soothes the Scalp: Its anti-inflammatory properties reduce irritation and promote a healthy scalp.
Fights Dandruff: It combats dryness and flakiness, ensuring your scalp remains nourished.
Promotes Thickness: Regular use of licorice in hair care strengthens hair shafts, giving you fuller, thicker hair.
Why Aloe and Adhimadhuram Make the Perfect Hair Care Duo
When these two natural ingredients come together in a shampoo, they create a synergy that transforms your hair care routine. The hydrating properties of aloe complement the nourishing and scalp-soothing benefits of adhimadhuram, resulting in:
Improved Hair Texture: Your hair feels softer, smoother, and more manageable.
Healthy Scalp: A balanced scalp environment promotes hair growth and minimizes scalp conditions.
Stronger Hair: Reduced breakage and split ends ensure healthier hair over time.
Natural Shine: Say goodbye to dull, lifeless hair and hello to radiant, glossy locks.
How to Use an Aloe and Adhimadhuram Shampoo
Wet Your Hair: Start with wet hair to allow the shampoo to lather effectively.
Apply Generously: Take a coin-sized amount (adjust as needed), and gently massage it into your scalp using your fingertips.
Rinse Thoroughly: Ensure all product is washed out to avoid residue build-up.
Follow Up: For best results, pair with a natural conditioner infused with similar ingredients.
Why Choose Natural Over Chemical-Based Shampoos?
Switching to a natural shampoo with ingredients like aloe and adhimadhuram is not just a trend; it’s a step toward sustainable and holistic hair care. Chemical shampoos often strip hair of its natural oils, leading to dryness and damage. In contrast, botanical blends nourish your hair without harsh side effects.
Final Thoughts
If you’re dreaming of luscious, healthy hair, the secret might be as simple as nature’s bounty. Aloe vera and adhimadhuram offer a natural, effective solution to common hair woes, proving that ancient wisdom still holds the key to modern beauty needs.
So, why not give this magical combination a try? Your hair will thank you with every strand shining with vitality!

Bad Breath: What It Means, Why It Happens, and How to Fix It
Let’s talk about something we don’t always love to acknowledge: bad breath. Officially known as halitosis, it’s more than just an awkward moment in close conversations. It can seriously affect your confidence, your social life, and even your health. The good news? It’s manageable—and understanding the causes and solutions is the first step.
Why Does Bad Breath Happen?
The Usual Suspects: Oral Hygiene & Dental Health
Bacteria: Your mouth is full of bacteria that break down food particles and produce smelly sulfur compounds. Think of them as tiny, odor-causing party crashers.
Dental Problems: Cavities, gum disease, and poorly maintained dental appliances (like braces or dentures) can give bacteria extra places to hide and grow.
Blame Your Diet and Lifestyle
Food Choices: Garlic, onions, and spicy foods are famous for their lingering smells. They release compounds that enter your bloodstream and come out through your breath.
Tobacco & Alcohol: Smoking and drinking dry out your mouth, making it a paradise for bacteria.
High-Protein or Sugary Diets: Too much sugar feeds bacteria, and proteins can release sulfur gases as they’re metabolized. Yikes.
Underlying Health Issues
Diabetes: A fruity or acetone-like odor might mean your blood sugar isn’t under control—a serious complication called ketoacidosis.
Kidney Problems: A fishy smell could signal that your kidneys aren’t filtering toxins like they should.
Liver Disease & GERD: These can cause distinctive breath odors tied to serious internal health issues.
Other Triggers
Hormonal changes (like pregnancy or menstruation) and dry mouth (often caused by medications or dehydration) can also play a big role.
How Can You Tackle Bad Breath?
Step Up Your Oral Hygiene Game
Brush and Floss Regularly: Twice a day, with floss to reach what your toothbrush can’t.
Clean Your Tongue: Use a tongue scraper to get rid of bacteria that live there.
Rinse Smart: Alcohol-free mouthwash or salt water helps clean without drying out your mouth.
Take Care of Dental Appliances: Clean dentures, retainers, and braces properly.
Stay Hydrated and Mind Your Diet
Drink Water: A dry mouth makes bacteria thrive. Keep it moist!
Choose Wisely: Go easy on smelly foods and sugary snacks. Balance your meals with veggies and whole grains.
Try Natural Helpers
Peppermint, sage, and eucalyptus aren’t just for aesthetics—they’re antibacterial and refreshing.
Tea tree oil and clove? Absolute powerhouses against odor-causing bacteria.
When to See a Doctor
If bad breath sticks around despite your best efforts, it could be a sign of something more serious, like diabetes, GERD, or liver issues. Don’t ignore it—getting checked out could make all the difference.
It’s Not Just About Fresh Breath
Halitosis might seem small, but it’s tied to much bigger things—your health, your confidence, and your overall quality of life. With a little care, you can ditch the bad breath and feel good about flashing that smile.
Find dentist near me
So, whether you’re dealing with morning breath, a garlic hangover, or something that just won’t go away, know this: there’s always a solution—and you’ve got this. 💪✨

Can Cinnamon Change Your Life
For centuries, cinnamon has been more than just a flavorful spice. From ancient Egypt to modern medicine, it has been used as a natural remedy for countless health issues. But can something as simple as adding cinnamon to your daily routine truly change your life? Let’s explore its incredible health benefits, real-life success stories, and how you can make it a part of your journey to better health.
The Ancient Power of Cinnamon
Cinnamon isn’t just a tasty addition to desserts or drinks—it’s a nutritional powerhouse. Rich in antioxidants and boasting antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties, cinnamon has been used in traditional medicine to treat everything from digestive issues to infections. But modern science has shown that its benefits go far beyond what ancient cultures imagined.
The Benefits of Cinnamon
1. Reduces Inflammation: Chronic inflammation is linked to diseases like heart disease and cancer. Cinnamon’s anti-inflammatory compounds can help combat this, reducing the risk of these illnesses and promoting overall health.
2. Controls Blood Sugar: Struggling with energy crashes, mood swings, or cravings? Cinnamon can help by naturally regulating blood sugar levels. For people with type 2 diabetes, this can be especially beneficial.
3. Supports Weight Management: If you’re looking to lose weight, cinnamon can be your ally. It may help suppress appetite and boost metabolism, making it easier to achieve your goals.
4. Antibacterial and Antifungal Properties: Cinnamon’s ability to fight harmful bacteria and fungi makes it an effective natural remedy for digestive issues and even some skin conditions.
5. Rich in Antioxidants: Antioxidants protect your cells from damage, which can help slow the aging process and improve overall vitality.
A Real-Life Transformation
Let me share a personal story. My aunt had been battling type 2 diabetes for years. No matter what she tried, her blood sugar levels remained out of control—until she added cinnamon to her daily oatmeal. Within weeks, her blood sugar levels improved dramatically, and she was able to reduce her medication.
Inspired by her results, I started researching cinnamon further and discovered countless stories of people who had experienced similar transformations. One woman found that cinnamon reduced her anxiety and improved her sleep, while another man saw a significant drop in his cholesterol levels.
These stories prove that cinnamon isn’t just a spice; it’s a powerful tool for better health.
How to Incorporate Cinnamon into Your Routine
Adding cinnamon to your diet is incredibly simple. Here are a few ideas:
Sprinkle it on oatmeal or yogurt.
Add it to your morning coffee or tea.
Blend it into smoothies for a delicious twist.
Use it as a seasoning for savory dishes like roasted vegetables.
Start with about half a teaspoon per day and see how your body responds.
