absolutely despicable behavior from WB to plunder a fan film from 15 years ago just because their corporate greed led them to want to make their own (likely soulless even with PJ’s involvement) version with the exact same title.
Tumblr media
UPDATE: the copyright has been released and the fan film The Hunt for Gollum is back on YouTube and can be watched. Though, it's still really telling of the capitalist corruption of WB and Hollywood that their first move and publicity for this (unnecessary) movie was to directly attack the fans for something produced over a decade ago.

Celebrities are disgusting, they are greedy, they are selfish.. stop pretending they are anything more and stop idolizing one of the worst things a person can be.. look at the things they buy and the things they wear and remind yourself where that money instead could have gone to.. they don't care about you, I can't stress that enough, they profit off you and nothing more.. blockout2024 is incredible, please participate... Palestine is dying, they did nothing with their power and money and that is nothing short of evil.. block them, stop giving them money and give to Palestine and other people in need.. don't be like a celebrity and give your money and attention to the people that matter, because they sure as hell won't.. they never have

I believe we shouldn't debate "Rhaenys was right/wrong to spare the Greens in Aegon coronation" when this is the state of mind of the writer of that episode:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If the writers don't respect the audience enough to think things through, why should we, the audience, give any validity to their writing by debating it as some deep in-universe plot point? It's not worth it.

If I ever come across yet another gratuitous, out of nowhere SA scene in a show I will riot.

Y'all: Go out and vote!
Me: If you're not informed on the issues don't vote and don't listen to celebritie's opnions on who to vote for. They can lecture all they want the results will not impact them like it will the rest of us.

I hate the Hollywood culture. America often seems to revere Writers/Actors/Executives/ etc as gods. And I dislike that. People from places outside of America are encouraged to come to LA or to NYC to make it big. In this way, a new form of american exceptionalism poaches talent from other countries. It's despicable. I hope these strikes crush this hollywood machine, but I doubt it will. This is still all happening in the US, and I don't think enough Americans hate hollywood for these reasons. So I doubt it.

I advocate for and encourage the death of Donald Trump via assassination and violence. If this incident wasn’t somehow staged I hope he dies from his injury. Fuck all the dems, the repubs and most of all the Hollywood pigs condemning this brave act of direct action.

there’s something to be said about celebrities that have performed as protagonists in dystopian films or media that were fighting against genocide/ethnic cleansing/fascism and them choosing to support israel
like, there’s something intrinsically revealing of hollywood, western society, etc. when it’s boiled down

The Coen brothers reflect what I do like about the US. The wild western rustic charm/grit, the California weirdness, and Minnesota chill. These movies are extremely refreshing and don’t have any forced political agenda inserted unlike the majority of what Hollywood puts out. The Coen brothers stay true in their work and shows us these nuanced but beautiful aspects of the US. They’re really good at showing the viewer beautiful wide screen shots of nature as well as having these quiet moments that just let you digest the film, only to be baffled by the next scene! Their comedy is gold. I’m going to have watch every single movie directed by the Coen brothers. I’ve already seen True Grit, the Big Lebowski, the Ballad of Buster Scruggs and Fargo. These movies make you feel like your entering the lives of the characters they are about, but these characters feel like individuals living in their own little world. It doesn’t feel manufactured. They’re living in their own natural environment, and that’s beautiful.
Update: I’m adding O Brother Where Art Thou?, A Serious Man, Raising Arizona, No Country for Old Men, and Burn After Reading on my list of favorite films (which is exactly 140 films so far), along with True Grit, and The Big Lebowski.

GRRM has had some misses with some of his takes, but this is not one of them. All of this can easily be remedied by adopting the "Don't like, don't adapt" philosophy.

Also like The Mary Sue recently posting a fluff piece on Chris Evans while Israel is literally attacking Gaza. Like, they think it's was a good idea to publish a fluff piece on the guy who...
Literally signs US weapons of mass destruction in Afganistan
Tumblr media
Acts buddy-buddy with neo-Nazi Dan Crenshaw
Tumblr media
Produces a docuseries on the US foreign policy in the Middle East featuring war hawks like John fucking Bolton
Like The Mary Sue really thought it was a good idea to do a fluff piece on a Hollywood celebrity who's been openly war hawkish, while the US and by extension, Hollywood celebrities are openly backing Israel's war on Gaza and spreading misinformation about Palestine??
Wow, White pple get away with everything don't they??

hollywood loves when their favorite young child actress grows up into a woman (or literally just turns 18) so they can immediately get her naked and exploit her. And people love eating it up.

I haven't really seen this posted anywhere but for blockout2024 please remember if you use Spotify, listen to music on YouTube or use another type of music streaming service to unfollow all singers that have been silent about Palestine and went to the met gala. I'm saying this because I caught myself almost listening to a few artists that I already have blocked on other social media. Please also remove any of their songs from your playlists which is what I will be doing after posting this
They don't deserve our money, they don't deserve our attention, they don't deserve our time, and they certainly don't deserve our forgiveness, they have proven that more times than anyone can count
Remember to unfollow and make sure to remove them all from your playlists

I am convinced that this push for "more diversity" in tv shows and movies has nothing to do with Hollywood actually caring about these groups. It's because they no longer have to put in effort towards actually making a good product! They have a ready made excuse to trot out, if and when it flops, that puts all the blame on the viewer.
Oh, you don't like this complete and utter massacre of canon that takes everything you liked about the source material and flips it around? You just hate that it stars a strong female character! Deal with it you sexist trash!
What's that? You hate that this tv series lies about your history or blatantly appropriates your cultural background, while claiming to be real information? Or that this movie seems so flat, colorless, and unimpressive compared to the lively original? You just hate that the main character is black! Shut up you racist!
Huh? You think that the main character is poorly written, and that the plot is flat and uninteresting? You obviously have something against the LGBTQ character we included! Get lost you homophobe!
As long as they can point at some type of "bigotry" to explain any hate, the writers and producers of these tv shows and movies have no real reason to put any work into making them interesting! They're using this "diversity" as a shield against criticism for their low quality work. And I find that to be very disrespectful not only towards the fans, but towards the characters they write, the actors they hire, and the groups they supposedly represent!
