I just started watching Brideshead Revisited, the first 12 minutes have been DELIGHTFUL. I can't help but think of them as Richard Papen and Francis Abernathy on a date though 😍

the "strange place" could be a private wildlife collector? i know the buying and selling of wild animals as pets can be pretty bad in the uk (or at least it is w/ birds of prey? that's abt what i know)

OH that's a good idea, that's going to be one of my top choices for if I DO end up needing to change the "twoleg den" in the upcoming super edition. Private wildlife collectors are a HUGE problem because the laws on simply owning exotic animals (as long as they're not covered by the Dangerous Wild Animals Act) are suuuuper lax in the UK, and the Zoo Licensing Act only applies if you accept general admission.

(and even then, specifically, you can take admission a limited amount of times a year. James Wellington's Animal Welfare Nightmare Extravaganza, beloved winter tradition, £25 each, kiddies of edible height get in free)

Birds in particular are a huuuge issue because there's big oversights in the laws surrounding the keeping of birds of prey. You don't actually need a license to own any birds except ostriches and cassowaries, or one of the five destructive invasive birds. Your pet eagle just needs to be registered so they know you didn't snatch it from the wild. Licenses will only apply if you're breeding, selling, or using it for falconry.

Maybe I could even tie this hypothetical antagonist guy to Sharptooth/One Eye/The God of Summer's previous human incarnation, on some off-chance the series ends up using this villain again. That could be kinda neat.

What is Barry saved under in Rafe’s phone in your mind?

I think it depends on the stage of their relationship + how Rafe's feeling in the moment, like he's definitely the type of constantly change contacts based on whether he's annoyed with the person or not. When he first saves Barry in his phone it's probably impersonal, like some variation of dealer or just 🔌 🔌 🔌 in the hopes someone will sneak a peek during a party, and he'll get to feel like a big man having that connection.

Eventually he'll change it to Barry, once they're friendly and seeing the name pop up every once in a while makes his teeth ache and his stomach swoop.

But then they'll get in an argument, one where Rafe's pouty and watery eyed and Barry pretends not to care. They don't talk until Rafe has been huffing around the house searching for something before confessing he's lost his phone and needs Barry to call it. The device will be conveniently tucked in between the couch cushions next to where Barry's sitting and when he digs it out to hand it over, he realises there's no name listed as the contact, it's literally just his phone number. Like he's some stranger. It's so petty, so Rafe who is so annoying, but it has the desired effect of pissing Barry off so it's a win.

Wow, so now we have four poster visuals of the movie (aside from the collaboration version with mission impossible of course), and I can't wait to watch this movie in the cinema someday...

By the way, there was a talk event which was held by the local publisher of the manga several days ago, which they streamed live on the local publisher's IG account. The event was held at the pop up cafe in a famous shopping mall in Jakarta, and when they talked about this movie, one of them (the pop up cafe's staff) pointed out that it would be released in March (in my country). I don't know if this is valid or not, but that person said it confidently, so it's probably true. Not to mention that there's no new information about the movie's release date for now...

Well, let's see if that statement is true, or probably they'll release the movie before March (I still hope that I can watch it on my birthday though... which is in January and not March). I've heard from somewhere else that the movie would be released in Singapore in February, so probably it will be soon after that.

okay but it genuinely makes me so happy and emotional to see them having their world tour together… like they’ve been through so much together and especially this past year and it just makes me so happy that they have each other they deserve each other so much 😭☹️

They had the opportunity to spend most of the summer together and to enjoy it without worrying about what others thought, and they did 🙌🏻.
