Okay, okay, Wish is an awful movie theme wise as it is execution wise, but the morals itself aren't as trash and rotten as some people out there want to believe?

The moral was hard to grasp because the execution was rotten and confusing, but I think we agree that it was something in the lines of "everybody's wish should get granted everybody should get the chance to grant their wish", which some people have pointed out, is kind of a flawed belief because there are a lot of bad "wishes" out there (see: the US government or the five genocides ocurring at the same time right now as we speak), but I don't think that's the thing we should look to when we analyze this moral.

A lot of people prhased the message of Wish as "everybody's wish should get granted" but a most accurate way of saying it would be in the lines of "everybody should get the chance to grant their wish". Asha herself says something like that during her infamous and poorly written interview with the King, that if Magnifico is not going to grant a wish, fine, but he could give it back to people so they can go after it themselves.

It's a question of autonomy.

A lot of people don't have this autonomy to go after their own dreams. Because either money, gatekeeping (medical, financial, social, etc.), or whatever else that may be, a lot of systems work to tear apart the autonomy of people going after what they want for themselves. Wish's presumed moral is that people should have the chance and autonomy to go after their wishes.

It isn't a bad moral.

Aside from a few outlying cases I do not understand why people are so insulted by gatekeeping. Either you're encountering a few unreasonable dipshits in which you can ignore them or you're actually trying to force your way into a space that you don't belong in. Either way just find somewhere that includes you. It's not that hard.
