steve always said it was "team bonding". it was honestly kind of fun.

better than the other "team bonding" you did, which mainly consisted of running long distances!!

anyways, they usually would do it soon after you, harley, peter, and miles finished school (also yes im including miles now bc i love him)

tony would come over the intercom while you all were lounging around and tell you to pack your bags.

This might be very specific but like, can I get something about a reader who used to be very sporty and graceful but has had a bad injury that kind of affects the way they walk and their balance. They don’t say it but they are secretly self conscious over it. They still do sports and stuff but they worry about never being enough again (and also ppl making comments about their limp). For characters that would be paired with the reader, I was thinking Mishima (love him sm🩷) and, unsurprisingly,, Ryuji (it’s a bit silly but this character helped me a bit to feel better about my situation)

You stood in front of the diner in Shibuya, looking around with your bag on your shoulder and your phone in hand. Yuuki had texted you he’d be here in 5 minutes, exactly 5 minutes ago. You kept glancing at your screen, checking to see if he had texted you again. 

You usually tried to keep an eye on your surroundings, but you must’ve been too focused on your phone to see the crowd of people rushing into you. You tried keeping yourself up, but it was no use - you felt yourself falling over, almost resigning yourself to your fate before a pair of arms clumsily held you up. 

You looked to your side to see Yuuki, looking frantic and panicked as he slowly made sure you were back up on your feet. Just as you were about to thank him, he held you by the shoulders and yelled. 

“Are you alright?!”

After taking a second to recover, you chuckled and held onto his arms. 

“I am, no need to worry.”

He looked you over worriedly, and finally let out a sigh of relief as he saw that you were indeed alright. Yuuki brought you closer to him in a hug, which you returned. 

“Should we go inside? I don’t want you to get hurt if someone bumps into you again.”

He offered as he pulled back, taking one of your hands in his bashfully. 

“I’m not that fragile, you know… But sure, let’s go.”

He pulled you up the stairs behind him for your date. Yuuki could be a little too protective when it came to your injury, but he ultimately just didn’t want it to get worse for you. 

Ryuji :

Dating Ryuji naturally meant accompanying him on his runs, when he felt like practicing. 

Today was one of those days. You both sat down on a bench as you handed him a water bottle, which he thanked you for before drinking practically half of it. 

Your chest heaved with your breaths, trying to calm down the ache in your body as you took a break. Ryuji was sitting next to you, massaging his leg. 

“You okay?”

He glanced at you upon hearing your question. He flashed you a grin and a thumbs up, reassuring you with a nod. 

“Yeah, no worries! I can keep going. What about you?”

You nodded too. 

“Same here. Just need a short break.”

About the Kaito keeping his secret ID through Refuge In Audacity do you think Conan stuck with his first guess that KID was younger than 20 or later dismissed it as KID wearing a mask? (Ik this isn't relevant to the kuroba sitcom but I had Ditto in the brain haha)

I personally hc that he logicked it away as "he can't be THAT young, learning all those skills he has would take time" and then Kaito TOLD HIM his mom was Phantom Lady who did crazy gymnastics so she couldn't have been very old and dissappeared a scant 20 years ago and Conan went "welp"

Ik that Hakuba figured KID's age through DNA and then compared to highschool databases across the country, but first that's not how DNA tests work, the length that tells how old someone is changes from person to person, and second, I'm not familiar w Japanese laws regarding privacy and DNA databases but I'm fairly sure that what Hakuba did was like. Super illegal. Probably why Hakuba hauled ass back to London after that case actually, I bet he only got away with it bc nepotism (IT'S SURE ILLEGAL IN THE UK)

GREAT QUESTION I think conan kept it in mind, but became less sure of himself over time. conan/shinichi has a pretty skewed idea of what kids are capable of doing, and I think he knows this about himself, so it’s reasonable for him to think “...nah, it would be insane if a high schooler was doing all this… right?” and if he was basing his original age guess off of what he could see of kid’s face and body shape, well, he learned very quickly that kid can change any of those traits at any time. who’s to say that kid wasn’t wearing makeup/a mask/anything else that might change his silhouette? …left to his own devices for long enough, conan can become a victim of his own overthinking, lol.

aaaand then kaito dropped the Phantom Lady tidbit. that, if anything, seemed to me like a peace offering of some kind? possibly meant to even the playing field between them? as always, it’s hard to tell what shinichi and kaito actually Know in canon, though I’m of course personally a fan of them knowing the least amount of information possible while still being as intelligent as we know they are. because shenanigans >:D

best I can tell from some brief research, in Japan, DNA collection isn’t regulated for law enforcement, but hakuba isn’t law enforcement, he’s a consultant at best. aaaaaa chapter 3 of IHM was soooo good!!! Reader and Gojo’s banter is so funny, I just love stories, series and movies where the main characters can’t stand each other and fall in love without even noticing! Their relationship reminds me a lot from the main couple in the movie “Life as we know it”. Omg poor reader when dealing with Choso, the other cop PLUS her neighbors! And the way everyone is so nosy and suspicious, I feel like more awkward situations about their sudden marriage are about to come. These cringe encounters are everything 😂😂😂 The little detail where reader reminds Gojo to strengthen his collar before he leaves was the sweetest, cutest thing! I absolutely love how reader meets part of the family all at once, it was so adorable. And Mama Gojo is amazing, I already love that woman! Does she believe in energy, crystals and all these things? The way she literally hugged reader and declared she would bring luck to their family was soooo sweet!!! This fic is definitely the found family trope!!! And little Juno calling us auntie? My heart just melted right then and there! i relate to reader in the sense that she feels overwhelmed and terrified at the thought of having another family now that she’s married to Gojo. I am close only to my mom, dad and brother, and completely ceased contact with my family from my father’s side of the family. What I mean is, family is difficult, so I’m excited to see how reader will navigate this new chapter of her life, since when you marry someone, it’s like you marry their whole family by association. I hope the rude comments and asks you’ve received straight up demanding smut in all your fics don’t discourage you from continuing writing and posting your lovely stories!!! Can y'all even read the media you're consuming? Haha, I don't want to sound mean but there are definitely times when I've come across someone's perception of the Mystic Messenger characters where it's clear they want to present something as 100% canon to the Good Ending timelines—

When, in truth, it's just a byproduct of the Bad Endings where most of the choices you make are deliberately toxic and spurn the worst of the worst. You have to actively click toxic responses to get a lot of the Bad Endings like the ones you just described. Jumin's notorious Bad Ending? You are actively feeding into his paranoia and supporting the feelings he has, while also indulging in the toxicity as well.

That's not who Jumin is at his best and to put it in his Good Ending is an absolute disservice to his character. Listen, if you want an ending where Jumin indulges in BDSM, then you can have it. You can imagine it in the good ending where there is nothing but consent and respect to consent. You don't have to have it in a toxic ending where it is not indicative of a healthy relationship. It's one thing if you want to play around in a bad ending because sometimes that's interesting, but it's another thing to act like those qualities in the bad ending are canon to a good ending.

If you see someone utter the words: "Zen would body shame you" let me know where they're at because who the fuck do you think Hyun Ryu is?

That is a character who has struggled with body insecurities his entire life and he would never belittle another person. He knows what it feels like to be on the receiving end of people judging you just because of the way you look and he would never want to make another person feel that way.

Just because he likes to overcompensate from his insecurities by telling himself that he's beautiful doesn't mean that he's a narcissist who's full of himself. Language has power, and if you call yourself trash, you're eventually going to believe you’re trash. I'm not saying you have to call yourself beautiful everyday, but keep in mind that you can manifest what you feel just by repeating it over and over again.

Ah, yes, people who whine and cry about Seven being mean to them in the apartment. The people who want him to wear his jokester mask until the end of time. The people who cannot understand that he is having an existential crisis, and that doesn't excuse his actions mind you, but they don't want him to be who he truly is, they want him to continue to pretend.

I have seen so many people talk about the time in the apartment and the fact is simple. They don’t get it or even try to get it. Saeyoung was lied to. The promise he threw his life away to protect his baby brother was a lie, and his brother is suffering, and his sacrifice was for nothing.

Not only that, he is afraid that if you get close to him, you might suffer the same fate and he knows he can't stomach that twice. His actions in the apartment aren't healthy, that's right, but if you really look at him, you can tell but his actions are alive from the very beginning, and he can't even remain cruel to you because you make him want to live. If you treat him like a toy who only appeases you, then you're going to get the Bad Ending.

Please don't get me started because I’ve talked about it a hundred times. I have to say this because some people lack media literacy these days, just because I can explain why Ray and Suit Saeran did what they did doesn’t mean it excuses those actions. There is no excuse for what Ray did or what Suit Saeran did. Suit Saeran tells you directly that even if he intended to hurt himself, he hurt you and Ray in the process, and he has to own that fact.

Ray realized he was wrong to lie to you, and he tried to right his wrong by making a fake elixir and lying to the Savior to protect you from what he brought you into. They carry those damn actions they committed like an anchor, and you don’t have to accept the apology GE Saeran gives you.

GE Saeran doesn’t forgive himself until the very end of his After Ending. Because, it doesn't matter if you forgive him for what he's done, he can't forgive himself for what he's done, and a part of the reason why he ends up for giving the people who hurt him has to do with forgiving himself.

In his heart, he knew that he no longer wanted to choose anger and pain, and to forgive himself, he knew he needed to forgive those who hurt him so that he could live his life without carrying that anger. He doesn't want to be angry anymore, he wants to live a life of happiness and peace.

Honestly, I think since most people don't like V or Rika, they don't bother to create stories that romanticize the unhealthy aspects of their characters, or the qualities that play into the Bad Endings. For V fans, it's hard enough to enjoy him when people want to tear him apart, but at least, they seem to be free from horrid mischaracterization in this regard.

Let's see, that "Act like Rika" Ending? You did that to him! You kept reinforcing the similarities with yourself and Rika until he started to believe the delusions! You're the one who prompted that situation. You choose those actions. The RFA wanted to stop you from doing that to Yoosung! That is a Bad Ending! It's a Bad Ending because Bad Things Happen!

That's the point! Those Bad Endings variables don't effect Good Ending because to achieve a Good Ending, you have to actively choose healthy options and help not only yourself but the character you love get to a point where they can open their eyes to the what they're going through and work to be better, not just for the people they love, but for themselves!

...You know what, I don't think I've ever seen someone do this Jaehee. The worst I've seen about Jaehee from the start is someone whining about her being passionate about Zen? I don't think I've seen anyone mischaracterize her romantically, she might actually be safe from this shit.

Honestly my theory for why ppl r very set on the father/son interpretation is everyone’s immediate thought on to how to make the power imbalance between them seem less uncomfortable is to apply a parental interpretation to it. Which is fine ofc, I get it, but the way ppl push it as canon a lot kind of grates on me a little bc they’re usually incredibly passive aggressive and pushy even if u clearly designate ur post as ship OTL

Also not really a fan of the characterizations either since ppl tend to treat Xiao like a moody teenager Zhongli has to reel in (this is hilariously reminiscent of the post I made about how ppl handle scaramouche and nahida a bit ago haha). And idk I just feel kind of polarized about the headcanon overall bc I associate it with people being really uncomfortable and frustrating about zx

I just like how there’s sort of an imbalance to them, some zxs like them being more fluffy and functional but I sort of like it where it’s not like, entirely dysfunctional but I’m prioritizing a specific kind of character study over romance. This tends to be how a lot of my ships go ngl I just sometimes enjoy the intensity/intimacy of romantic feelings thrown into the mix if it makes it interesting but I’m not often interested in a lot of my ships following more standard romance plots(?) When I say codependency in zhongxiao honestly it’s sort of a theoretical(?) codependency—not sure how to word it? I think Xiao would be really fucked up if he didn’t have Zhongli in his life suddenly but I don’t think his relationship with getting attached to people invokes what people would majorly think of when they think of codependency in a ship I suppose. It’s moreso I just feel Xiao could be at his worst with dehumanizing himself in comparison to other people with Zhongli, because said mental state is driven by how he feels about debt, service, and duty which are very closely tied with devotion and how he would feel about someone he considers his god and leader, as well as someone who saved him

It’s fun this is paired with Zhongli who generally knows how to work with Xiao kind of understands the self destructive depth Xiao’s loyalty/devotion comes with. Also fun they have been around each other for a very long time and Xiao as one of the adepti is familiar with the past I think Zhongli appreciates having around. They work but it’s also a case where Zhongli is in such a position of power over Xiao its kind of very delicate situation that’s hard for both of them to navigate. Which is fun to explore. I esp love contrasting it with other Xiao pairings (actually i think i still have that xiaoven fic up on my ao3 where I tried to convey a specific interpretation of them in a similar exploration vein too)

I totally get why people wouldn’t like it (I feel a lot of my opinions on xiao ships just clash with a lot of fandom consensus so bad all the time And it’s just bc I’m like this I’m not even trying to be contrarian or anything. HELDINCJD) but I just tend to handle shipping in a specific way. It’s not I don’t enjoy fluffy or lighthearted zl and xiao stuff I actually enjoy it a lot I just like there being layers. This makes it feel more impactful when I think about how Zhongli looks out for Xiao in canon or how Xiao gets like textually flustered talking to him (lantern rite 2023 was so tailored to my tastes it’s not even funny)

We always have discussions about possibilities for SJM future books (especially acotar 5) and I always read interpretations that are done so very tastefully and with a lot of knowledge on text interpretation, book context and narratives

but the thing is… ppl always treat SJM as this super hiper mastermind and after HOFAS and how messy and not good it was (honestly it was terrible) … I’m a little afraid about acotar 5 and sjm choosing to go with the easiest way (which, for me, would be choosing Elriel - since with Gwyn she would have to treat her trauma her carefully and be more cautions on her narrative) and I don’t know if I see her doing it 😓

(Also… I would like to say as my last though of someone who is following her since 2018 - that SJM loves to write about powerful woman and the friendships between them and their bonds but to let the fandom be where it is today… young impressionable girls treating each other with such hostility and disrespect… I know she probably can’t say anything bc of contracts but man is a hard pillow to swallow that she “let” the fandom be where it is today… which is a horrible place.)

A big difference between acotar and hofas is how thoughtfully she generally treats the acotar characters. I've been thinking a lot about this the past few days and the main thing I dislike about hofas is how the plot and world building absolutely take over everything to the detriment of the characters. I cannot understate how much I dislike Bryce, and I've always pinpointed her lack of consistent values as the core reason why. hofas really, really emphasized that writing flaw. Not character flaw, but writing flaw.

People acting like sjm is some mastermind drives me crazy when we can see all the plot holes and inconsistencies and retcons. One of these days, someone should make a list of them. Anyway, she mentioned rereading the acotar series sometime last year, and I would bet you good money that she did so in order to see what she can use. She has said explicitly that she isn't great at world building and she has also said that she didn't plan the crossover until she was writing hosab. That means any connection we see between hofas and, for instance, acomaf, is a result of her going backwards to see what she can use. Not the other way around. She "planned" in the sense that she wrote really vague stuff in the first place so that she could use it how she wanted to later on. That has become really apparent to me with the crossover.

Like... for example, Mor's power is "truth". Vague as fuck, right? I would bet good money (again haha like I'm rich) that sjm didn't even know what that meant in acomaf other than "I need a reason for the mortal queens to trust Mor". And then she'll figure out the mechanics and technicalities later and the fandom will call her brilliant for it. *facepalm*

I don't see e*riel being easy at all. But that's all I will say about that hehe.

Gwyn's story aligns perfectly with what sjm has already been doing in acotar, with Rhys and Lucien, and to an extent Nesta. I don't have any concerns there because I think her strength is in her characterization. (CC is just... another beast.) There was an interview she did a while back where she talked about the movie Promising Young Woman and it really emphasized to me that sjm's particular brand of feminism revolves around gender and sex. This isn't a critique, just a statement of what I've observed. My point is that she is very aware of rape culture and has strong feelings about it and gives characters the space to heal on page, and so that's not really a concern of mine, especially in acotar.

To your final point, I got SO frustrated the other day in the group chat, @sabrinasam said it was the most frustrated she's ever seen me haha. I'm so tired of sjm and the publisher being coy about this!!!! But mostly, I am so, so sick of people in this fandom treating each other like shit just because they don't agree on ships. Like it's one thing to have notps and brotps and to be annoyed by or even hate certain characters. It's a completely different thing when people feel totally comfortable going out in public and treating other actual, real, human people like absolute garbage because of those feelings.

I don't think that sjm is at fault for this because I think that people are responsible for their own actions. Like you could just stick them in another fandom, and these people would act the same deplorable way.

And Dean is self-destructing while Kim is just. Unfazed about all of it! Dean wants him to be jealous, meanwhile Kim is like. “It’s physically impossible to be jealous of Winner. There’s something to explore about the difference between possessiveness (what Dean wants or thinks he wants) and protectiveness (what Kim will actually provide).

When Mr Tony had told Kenta to organise for Kim to be picked up from the airport and taken to the hotel, he definitely hadn't meant for Kenta to do the chauffeuring himself. But finding the loopholes in Tony's orders was how Kenta managed his life these days, so he was waiting in Arrivals in his usual black suit with a printed sign at 6pm the following Tuesday, surrounded by a group of men attired and be-signed much the same. Which was probably why Kim didn't give Kenta a second glance as he walked up. No big deal; Kenta’s used to being overlooked. “K’Kim?” he asks in polite confirmation, although he recognises Kim very well from the photographs he’s studied. Kim gives him a nod. This time he takes a good look at Kenta, sharp eyes sweeping from his carefully styled hair down to his perfectly shined shoes.

anyway then they go to Kim's hotel room and hook up and it starts from there.

Kim in the last few episodes is the BEST. he's just like "time fro breakfast! sure I'll chase down a teenager for a phone. sure I'll come along and beat up Winner in a funky jacket. sure I'll join your racing team and adopt north and sonic as my babies."

ik everyone is entitled to their own opinion and it’s understandable to find rps unsavory, but it seemed very much like rage-bait for attention: acting like they’d never heard of it before and taking time out of their day to comment. i think you even mentioned you’d never want CE or SS to know about it and would never be disrespectful, it’s all in fun to be teasing. same for me. i swear so many mcufans live in a bubble, rps has been around since forever, lotr anyone? and speculation is kinda what hollywood already does. every celeb magazine cover you see is like: “are they DATING?” as long as no one is bothered, it’s really not that serious. there’s occasionally a double standard with non same sex co-stars too. these fans even ship themselves with the same actors and that’s not “creepy” either.

s26 e1 spoilers

just me rambling forever about the new ep and kyman thoughts after my bedtime

so many different threads of thoughts running through my head at the newest ep...

Cupid Me tends to be in my favorite eps and I don’t even know if I like him, but they tend to be gay eps and say a lot about Cartman’s psychology. I definitely think this was one of the best ones lately, and I of course love that it didn’t have a B plot/adult plot.

saw a couple ppl say this wasn’t a kyman episode but it super was to me??? haha

my synopsis for the ep would be “Cartman sabotages Kyle spending too much time with someone outside their friend group too close to Valentines Day, but when he realizes his actions are going too far into anti-Semitism, he won’t abide by it and makes his alter take his psych meds”

Basically I didn’t take it at face value that Cartman was truly doing that for Stan’s sake, because Cartman’s generally secretly doing things for his own sake. I know the message Matt and Trey were trying to send was just that people can be influenced by Ye and do horrible things by trying to be good Christians, but I don’t know if Cartman actually gives a shit about being a good Christian, so I’m headcanoning right now that he felt more comfortable acting like he was doing this all for Stan when he himself is as jealous as Stan.

And also it’s really huge that Cartman thinks Nazism is too far, and he works hard to save Kyle from it with zero personal benefit?

Funny thing is I’m not sure Cartman believed the anti-Semitic stuff about Jews running Hollywood to begin with, or if it just seemed like a useful rhetoric in manipulating Token to break up with Kyle. 

Anyway kinda the biggest ep for Kyman in a long time. In spite of where Cartman’s canonically stood before in regards to Hitler and Nazis, he doesn’t want that part of himself to get out and cause harm right now. 

Not sure if Cartman discovers once Ye gets more blatant and unhinged that this anti-Semitism has been wrong all along or if he’s still fine with all he’s done this ep so long as they call it Christianity.

Also just wanna say I love Stan in this ep, laughed out loud at his lines twice. “Stop talking to me”. lol

can’t believe we have TWO episodes now of “Cartman spreads rumors around the school to keep Kyle from dating someone else” but here we are. 

love that Cartman is just fully like ‘don’t worry stan you’re gonna get back together with kyle and it’s almost valentines day’ like these are not the words you use when talking about friends, this is just a gay little episode i just watched a gay little episode.

it’s also a Style ep and I love that for it too, i just don’t have much to say about that haha. glad there’s a Style ep because they like barely have any content these days like it’s actually weird.

What would be the most awkward moment you've had when traveling (in your country or abroad?

hahaha this is such a good question !! … god knows there’s probably been so many but at the same time I’m such an awkward person in general to the point that I feel no shame about almost anything and it would be awkward for the other person to feel awkward bc it’s too far gone/I tend to make other ppl feel comfortable being their weird awkward selves around me or so I’ve been told !! I’ve communicated w so many diff ppl even when there has been a total language barrier and I’ve found that laughter overcomes just about any barrier even ones u wouldn’t expect :,) …now if we are gonna speak about moments that I cringe at a little looking back it would probably be when I coulda had me a Swiss gf by now but my brain was hella lagging and I was talking ab my ex fml I SAW the shift in her facial expressions and it was over LOLOL actually it wasn’t over cos she planned for us to meet up again like 9 months later in my city cos she was about to go home earlier than expected and I was too mentally ill to get outta bed and said I was sick and I think she thought I didn’t like her again but anyway turns out she was going home early to be admitted in the mental hospital for the next yr so maybe we had too much in common anyways miss her love her she’s so pretty hope she’s doin better …OR maybe my first time in Bali I got completely scammed and stalked except I knew it was happening before it happened but I almost always travel on my own so I was like ehhh oh well rite of passage and let them take my money lmao idiot :,) also not an awkward moment but a kinda funny moment was in jakarta this random old guy was like can I have ur shoes for my daughter and I was like yeah sure (cos I was going home the next day and I had just bought a cheap kmart pair before leaving aus) and so I literally took em off my feet and gave them to him in the middle of nowhere LMAO. OMG actually I just remembered a kinda awkward situation one time at airlie beach I was also on my own.. I had no card on me cos it was on my phone on Apple Pay, my phone had died like permanently because I got sand and water in it on an island and even the charger wouldn’t bring it back to life and it was night and I had to check in to a hotel within like the next 30 mins before they shut their office (it was like a hotel connected to the owners house) which I needed my phone for google maps cos I had no idea where it was and needed to pay them also and also had my plane ticket to go home the next day digitally on my phone, also hadn’t eaten all day and couldn’t buy food it was a disaster and I was running up literal hills to find this hotel and asking random people on the street and almost in tears and out of breathe and I finally got there like 2 mins before closing time and I had to like convince the owners to let me stay there overnight and let me pay in the morning bc my phone was broken and they were kinda cranky about it and by some miracle my phone turned on at like 2% and wouldn’t charge anymore the next morning but I was up and awake super early like 5am bc I was so hungry so I thought I’d go get breakfast and then come back before I checked out and then on my way to breakfast I ran into the owner of the hotel and it looked like I was scamming them omg

omg this also made me think of on that same trip to Airlie beach I was literally walking for a few km back to my accomm one night cos it was on the outskirts of town and it was in the dark already and my phone had died (this was before it fully broke it was just flat or maybe I just had no reception I don’t remember) I suck at directions and can never retrace my steps and I was just vibing and I thought I had to walk through these rich ass houses and ppl were driving out for a night out so the gate had just opened so I walked right in… uhhh turns out it was like a lil gated community type vibe which was a dead end.. so I turn around and the gate is fully automated locked up behind me like the highest fence like 3X my height with all those spikes on top of it..like noone was around to ask to open it and it was pitch black and I was on my own I was like fuck I’m not getting out of here but luckily I’m literally a ninja and somehow managed to climb up over the fence with all the security cameras looking at me I was like omg I’m gonna be on the news it looked so suss hahahahagot stabbed a lil bit but mostly it was overruled by relief and I jogged the rest of the way home literally through the bush land bro it was a scary time AHAHA …but not as scary as when I was stuck 5kms out in open sand dunes in a thunder lightening storm or on the edge of a muddy cliff in a rainforest inside a mini bus as we had to use human balance to get one person out at a time before the bus slipped down lmao ..ok none of these were awkward but I had to think cos I don’t remember nothing ever im sure some much crazier shit has occurred idek what I’ve done in this life actually I’m starting to remember many things I have so many travel stories none rlly awkward tho that’s just not a concept for me :,)
