One thing about PDA (pathological demand avoidance/persistent drive for autonomy) is that living is a demand. All of the necessities for maintaining life are demands. Staying alive is literally a series of neverending demands. I can never stop eating or I will die. I can never stop drinking fluids or I will die. I can never stop maintaining a basic level of hygiene because it's necessary for health and comfort. I can never stop cleaning in order to keep my spaces functional enough to meet all the other demands that keep me alive. Regardless of how burnt out or tired I am, regardless of how badly my PDA is triggered, regardless of how fatigued my body is or how bad my executive dysfunction is on top of all that PDA, I still have to meet those demands to live. Just staying alive when your brain is like this is constantly being triggered and burnt out by the basic demands of life.

WIP of Accordion and Violin’s fusion, Harmony (He/Him, They/Them). This is their first form when they first formed with the Music Dragons, so their second look with the Toppats will be different.

Harmony is about 14.5-15 ft tall, so he’s VERY tall, quiet but expressive when it calls for it. He never stays around for too long, as it takes a lot of magic and energy from Accordion and Violin to stay together as a fusion. When he speaks, it’s a blend of Accordion and Violin’s voice, which can be soothing to their loved ones, or a deafening sound to those they want to kill.

Their first pair of arms have the prosthetics of Accordion, while the second pair are Violin’s. There are also extra magical pair of arms that are based on the souls that are etched into Accordion’s prosthetics.

I’ll refine this info at some point, when I get this finished and redo some stuff

Here is a fun fact about roxy my oc.

So basicly this is something that all dogs could probably do this,which is trying to get attention from their owners.but they have different ways of doing so.for example my senior dogs howls at me when i dont look at her for like a second,in roxy's situation she dose in other way to get the nektons attention.

In this case when she wants attention from the nektons. instead of barking or whining at them for attention,she takes something they like or need and proceed to runaway so they chase after her and she will refused to give them the item she stole,just to get some attention.she dosent do it all the time.the only times she dose it is when she has to much energy and wants to play with somebody,and the most she steals from is will.that's because he kind of haves a deeper bond with her then ant and fontaine (even tho they were the ones who wanted the dog in the first place).at first will was the typical parent who said no to them but after ant and fontaine begged them so much he finally gave up and let them keep the dog.but in the end will was the one that gave roxy more attention then anybody alse and when will ignores her,she steals his things like his glasses,shoes artifacts or maps ect.the first situation this happened it when they were at the beach and roxy had stole one of his shoes and try to swim away with it,which made him chase after her to go get it.

Since soxy had a life vest on so he kind of pulled her by it and dragged her out the water and ended up carrying her back to the beach,kaiko still dosent let him forget about wich he kind of get pissed off about it.

I actually did this drawing a while ago but when I finished I didnt like it so I didnt end up posting it but now looking back, I still don't like it but I spent a long time on it soooo, here's Thomas as a Siren and below is some Info dump about this Au I made

Since I am also a sleepy bois inc fan, I got inspired by dark sbi mermaid fanfics and decided to test it out on the Maze Runner and see what it leads me to. So, just a heads up, the Maze Runner characters in this Au are more morally gray because they follow their animalistic side more than their human side. 

In this Au, they in a hierarchy and every mermaid lives in their own pod (a community)

Hierarchy goes like; Leaders, Sirens, Children, Protectors, and Hunters/Gatherers

It is not a requirement to have a Siren in the Pod but it does make the pod seem stronger if they do have one 

There tends to be only one siren in each pod because in this AU they are cannibals and are not afraid of eating another siren from their own pod or a different one 

The color of a siren represents what types of power their voice holds, Thomas in particular has the ability to manipulate people’s sadness and grief, he can make others see hallucinations of loved dead ones or intensify someone's state of sadness/depression/loneliness. The jewelry around his neck is a symbol of his status and showing how important his voice is.

Short plotline; Thomas is a lone siren who does not have a pod. He gets invited to join the Gladers pod by Alby but problems arise when Thomas realizes that they already have a siren in their pod, Ben. At first they would stay far away from each other, with Ben always hanging in the front of the Pod and Thomas in the back but one day Ben does end up attacking Thomas and Thomas ends up killing him. 

Since they run more on instincts and animalistic feelings, Thomas did not really feel bad at first because he did it in order to survive but he soon realizes how sad the pod is since he can feel their sadness. He decides to permanently stay in their pod and promises to protect them as a way to make amends 

In the beginning, Thomas does not have a good relationship with anyone in the Pod except for Chuck and Alby. With him and Chuck having a brotherly relationship and him and Alby having more of a stable one. Gally and him absolutely hated each other but over time they warmed up to each other. Newt, Minho, and Thomas had a distant relationship until Thomas ended up saving Minho from mermaid hunters, which caused him to earn trust from Minho, Newt, Frypan, and Winston. 

Sirens are very different from normal mermaids. They age the same but mature mentally faster than Mermaids. Their diets are very different with them being mostly carnivores while mermaids are omnivores. Mermaids are sort of okay with humans, they especially have soft spots for the human kids but Sirens won’t hesitate to kill one. They are more private about their species and do not let any humans near them unless a human somehow manages to earn their trust. Aris, Teresa, and Rachel are humans that Thomas tolerates but he doesn’t like it when they get too close. Mermaids can not survive without a Pod but Sirens can and they choose willily to join one if they want to, they just tend to do things on their own in the Pod and sometimes listen to the leader which is why it’s important they have a great relationship 

The characters do all act the same as they do in the book and movies, but with just a slight readjustment with their bio instincts. Thomas is still curious and oblivious but now he just has a little bit of animal instincts added to him, this applies to the rest of the characters

Free fee to add in your own headcanons or even make your own story of this. I probably won’t talk about this Au again unless someone asks me too and don’t mind the big ass among us, I just like adding them in my drawings sometimes.

I would read your zhongxiao codependent yuri Like, I do generally picture them as a vaguely father/son dynamic BUT THAT IS NOT CANON. It's just as much fun to view them through a romantic interpretation! Idk why people can't view the same characters in different kinds of relationships without being weird about it.

THANK U SO MUCH Im not sure if I’m gonna write zx in the future since I’ve tended to be shy about posting my stuff relating to them for over a yr now, but I did post this fic with them last year while trying to get a hold on how to write them (mind the tags it’s pure angst omg). I was too shy to tag it as ship since it didn’t feel shippy enough, which is kind of funny to me in hindsight bc I reread it and am like. Man I think only a zx shipper would write this NUFNVJVJV

Honestly my theory for why ppl r very set on the father/son interpretation is everyone’s immediate thought on to how to make the power imbalance between them seem less uncomfortable is to apply a parental interpretation to it. Which is fine ofc, I get it, but the way ppl push it as canon a lot kind of grates on me a little bc they’re usually incredibly passive aggressive and pushy even if u clearly designate ur post as ship OTL

Also not really a fan of the characterizations either since ppl tend to treat Xiao like a moody teenager Zhongli has to reel in (this is hilariously reminiscent of the post I made about how ppl handle scaramouche and nahida a bit ago haha). And idk I just feel kind of polarized about the headcanon overall bc I associate it with people being really uncomfortable and frustrating about zx

I just like how there’s sort of an imbalance to them, some zxs like them being more fluffy and functional but I sort of like it where it’s not like, entirely dysfunctional but I’m prioritizing a specific kind of character study over romance. This tends to be how a lot of my ships go ngl I just sometimes enjoy the intensity/intimacy of romantic feelings thrown into the mix if it makes it interesting but I’m not often interested in a lot of my ships following more standard romance plots(?) I guess? Unless it’s specific ones. Which sounds clinical when I put it like that but this is just bc I am very aromantic NHFBVJVJ

When I say codependency in zhongxiao honestly it’s sort of a theoretical(?) codependency—not sure how to word it? I think Xiao would be really fucked up if he didn’t have Zhongli in his life suddenly but I don’t think his relationship with getting attached to people invokes what people would majorly think of when they think of codependency in a ship I suppose. It’s moreso I just feel Xiao could be at his worst with dehumanizing himself in comparison to other people with Zhongli, because said mental state is driven by how he feels about debt, service, and duty which are very closely tied with devotion and how he would feel about someone he considers his god and leader, as well as someone who saved him

It’s fun this is paired with Zhongli who generally knows how to work with Xiao kind of understands the self destructive depth Xiao’s loyalty/devotion comes with. Also fun they have been around each other for a very long time and Xiao as one of the adepti is familiar with the past I think Zhongli appreciates having around. They work but it’s also a case where Zhongli is in such a position of power over Xiao its kind of very delicate situation that’s hard for both of them to navigate. Which is fun to explore. I esp love contrasting it with other Xiao pairings (actually i think i still have that xiaoven fic up on my ao3 where I tried to convey a specific interpretation of them in a similar exploration vein too)

I totally get why people wouldn’t like it (I feel a lot of my opinions on xiao ships just clash with a lot of fandom consensus so bad all the time And it’s just bc I’m like this I’m not even trying to be contrarian or anything. HELDINCJD) but I just tend to handle shipping in a specific way. It’s not I don’t enjoy fluffy or lighthearted zl and xiao stuff I actually enjoy it a lot I just like there being layers. This makes it feel more impactful when I think about how Zhongli looks out for Xiao in canon or how Xiao gets like textually flustered talking to him (lantern rite 2023 was so tailored to my tastes it’s not even funny)

oh cool it's thursday again and i didn't do basically any writing this week and now i'm in this brace which actually doesn't stop me from typing so that's good but uh yeah it slows me down

sister and fam are coming home today so that's great i should probably clean things and empty the rabbit's litter boxes again but i have so much to do today. i have the follow up appointment with the orthopedic thingy. i am really regretting going to the ortho urgent care because so far he's right and it's not bacteria and honestly my tendons would've healed fine on their own i just needed to know it wasn't still an infection. i don't need this brace, which i'm sure my insurance will charge me like two hundred dollars for. Sure it helped but i wasn't actually there because the pain was bad, i was there because i thought the pain meant i was being eaten.

and i'm not convinced it's not going to come back in a week anyway like last time. but. idk. (It is, incidentally, extremely horrifying to me to contemplate that the current pain is that the bacteria, which was not unmedicated in my body for more than a couple of days at any point, managed to inflict so much damage on my tissues that it's inflamed now. the cyst on my forefinger tendon is the most painful bit and it's nowhere near the original injury.

i am just overwhelmed in general, idk when that's going to ease up if ever.

veg man has fed me several times this week, which is very sweet of him. nobody thinks i can feed myself. my sister thinks that because the only kitchen i can use is hers and i'm afraid to meddle with her stuff. anyway everyone's probably right, left to my own devices i'd only eat weird shit.

i'm eating all of the dairy at the moment though, because i can.

gotta give a friend a ride from the garage, then i gotta go to my doctor's appointment like fully two hours later. this is not a full schedule, exactly, but i am jittery at the possibitlity of missing something, since of course it's outside my normal route and it's all time-sensitive. Ridiculous, but that's how my brain works.

maybe i'll be told i can stop wearing the brace; i have a bunch more baskets of eggs to wash and i told veg man i'd help him by freezing some green beans tomorrow so i could really use having two hands back.
