He tries to convince buck it was just Sal's kid that painted his nails, or the kids from number 642 down the road, and buck pretends to believe him and just lets it go - until he sees bottles of nail polish in Tommy's bathroom and eventually gets Tommy to admit he wears nail polish every now and then because he just likes the look of it.

And buck is nothing if not a supportive boyfriend and gets Tommy to paint his nails for him in a colour he thinks would look good.

And since the LAFD regulations don't say anything about nail polish (idk if that's true but just go with it) he wears it to work - and gives Gerrard's homophobic ass a coronary. And he ends up having to retire and Bobby can come back as captain of the 118, and all is right in the world again.

All because of Tommy's painted nails.

From a meta standpoint Scar has been checking to see if the wild card is the ability to launch people via knockback punch almost every session before now, so giving him that as part of his super powers is lowkey just giving him exactly what he wanted. Also from a lore standpoint of Grian giving out the powers he gave Scar a really defensive ability. 'Ride' someone your fighting and suddenly they can't hit you, you can launch them back 10-20 blocks forcing them out of melee range and into BOW range (something that's come to be regarded as Scar's best/signature weapon) also discourages other enemy players being around him on high places like say his current home base And to top it all off Grian then gives him Thorns discouraging people from attacking him head on. This is "I Want You To Be Safe" the super power.

there's just no way ted wouldn't keep in touch with the others (and have weekly zoom meetings just like in the christmas special) and I just love the thought of the whole team having reunions once in a while.

and going back to trent's arc in s3, the sunflowers conversation, "And your daughter?" "She's never been happier." I think it could go the same for ted.. we've never really properly saw how henry felt about his dad being in london, it's always other people that told ted his son misses him, who's to say henry would rather see his dad happy because that in turn would make him happy too? he was there to win the whole thing, right? I just know ted’s story isn’t done yet when he still hasn’t learned to let others take care of him in return and who else to pair him with than the man who blew up his career because a man was nice to him (and also because they were so. so cruel for the fakeout tedbecca scenes for that finale) 🥺
