How does Sirius feel about the muggle space travel!!!!!!!!!!
He is utterly fascinated by it!
Before he is able to read, even before his birth, there have been dogs and people floating around on their way to the stars. Whenever he is out of gp12, Sirius then goes to read about the space race in muggle newspapers. At home, his parents talk about it often, of the political aspect of it. About how to use the technological progress as a tool to devide the muggles and wix further. They meet juri gagarin in Russia when Sirius is 7yo, in St Petersburg, and Sirius is allowed to ask him a few questions. Sirius breaks out from home in 1969, to go out and watch the moon landing through the window of a TV store. It's what inspires him to learn more about technology, and about muggle astronomy. Let's him see the world in new ways he hadn't considered before.
And his parents don't like that. Their early talk about how to use space travel as propaganda against muggles has turned into them believing their own propaganda. Walburga became more and more disgusted by muggles and the filth they bring everywhere. Orion has already had tendencies to paranoia, but it only gets worse throughout the cold war. They have to sell their last two country estates over the duration of the 60s, and that alone fills them with so much shame and humiliation that they need a scapegoat. Muggles are a good first step. And their muggle lover son the next.
Anyway... When Sirius comes to school, he meets a boy who never looks at the night sky, who avoids it like the plague. Who knows just about every fact there is to know about the stars, but nothing about the moon. And he teaches him then. About space travel. About the men on the moon. Is able to take some of the fear off his friends shoulders. Bc if there's muggles who can just walk around on the moon no problem, it can't be all that magical and dangerous, can it?
#sirius black#Bat tag#I hope this makes sense#But imo the higher pureblood families would be well connected both to muggles and to other magical creatures#They make propaganda for other pureblood families#And for the muggle borns and half bloods in their ranks

ONE TWO THREE
Oh, all that I did to try to undo it. All of my pain and all your excuses, I was a kid but I wasn't clueless. Someone who loves you wouldn't do this.
All of my past, I tried to erase it, but now I see, would I even change it? Might share a face and share a last name, but we are not the same.
December 25th, 1976
You hated Christmas.
Not because you despised the holiday, really, but because you hate what happens during the holiday.
Your parents would always gather up the whole family at Christmas; it was a tradition that originated with your family’s ancestors. You and your brothers were forced to wear itchy dress robes and needed to be on your best behavior. For as long as you can remember, the Black family Christmas gathering was a load of hippogriff dung.
You spent the whole day mingling with your older cousins, which you absolutely dreaded each and every time you had to spend time with them, especially Bellatrix. You already had to spend every day seeing your cousins at Hogwarts, and the last thing you wanted was to spend Christmas with them too.
The only sensible cousin you had was Andromeda; you loved her like a sister, but she wasn’t welcome in the family anymore since she married the muggle-born Ted Tonks. You missed her dearly, but you still exchanged letters from time to time, you still preferred Andromeda's company rather than Narcissa's or Bellatrix's.
The gathering went well—at least the first half of it.
You were sitting on your bed, peacefully reading a book, when your mother called everyone to the Black family library. You were confused; your family never used the library for gatherings this large. You reluctantly make your way up to the library, goosebumps littering your body as eerie silence enveloped the whole house. When you opened the doors to the library, your eyes visibly widened.
All of your family members were already inside, along with masked figures in dark cloaks—death eaters—standing in a circle around another hooded figure. Before you even knew what was happening, your eldest brother, Sirius, was thrown into the middle of the room.
“He is ready, my Lord.” Your father, Orion, bowed in front of the hooded figure—the Dark Lord. “He is sixteen, just as you requested.”
“I requested nothing, Orion. I required him to be at least sixteen and willing to join in the ranks of my death eaters.” The Dark Lord’s cold voice echoed in your ears, sending shivers down your spine. “I do not intend to use the Imperius curse on every last follower into understanding and obedience.”
“Perhaps a little persuasion is useful, my Lord?” Bellatrix purred lovingly at the Dark Lord, making you want to vomit right there and then. Voldemort raised a hand, and your cousin’s crazed laughter echoed throughout the room, her wand aimed at Sirius. “Crucio!”
You felt sick to your stomach as you watched in horror as your brother’s screams rang in your ears. Sirius looked defiant, refusing to bow down to the Dark Lord. You felt paralysed, unable to move or do anything to help your brother. Tears started to sting your eyes. You wanted to scream and shout. You wanted to grab your older brother and just run away from all of the madness.
You suddenly felt arms wrap around your shoulder, the familiar warmth enveloping you despite the horrors in front of you. “Starlight, look at me.”
You looked up, meeting your second-eldest brother’s soft eyes. “Reggie…..”
“I know, I know, just don’t let your guard down, okay, starlight?” Regulus whispered, kissing your forehead as he hugged you tighter. “It’ll be okay; Sirius will be okay.”
You watched helplessly as Sirius thrashed on the hardwood floor, screaming as the curse coursed through his body. Despite Regulus’ assurances—which you knew were pointless—tears flowed down your cheeks as you hoped that this was all just a bad dream. Sirius didn’t deserve any of this.
“Crucio!”
Still, Sirius did not break.
“He’s stubborn, Orion, Walburga,” Voldemort sneered, his red eyes glinting in the dim light. “Perhaps we should instruct the boy on the consequences of defiance.”
“Never!” Sirius screamed as he struggled to breathe, blood spilling out of his nose from being knocked over by the cruciatus.
“The young heir must be taught a lesson.’’ you heard your uncle Cygnus say, earning the laughs of agreement from everyone else.
Sirius panted heavily, licking blood from his lip before spitting it onto the rug. “Never….in a million….years.”
“Crucio! Crucio!” Bellatrix was clearly eager to hurt Sirius, enjoying the sight of your brother writhing in pain under her mercy. It made your blood boil; you wanted to just rip Bellatrix’s throat out of her neck.
“Kill the spare.” Voldemort’s snake-like eyes landed on you and Regulus. Your skin crawled as you felt the gazes of everyone in the room fall on you and your brother.
“No!” Your mother screamed and fell to her knees in front of the Dark Lord. “My Lord, I beg you, kill this traitor instead.” She gestured to Sirius's shaking, bleeding, sweating body. “Regulus and Y/n are as noble and pure as you could ever require. My better children will willingly seek your approval and bear your mark as soon as they come of age.”
Suddenly, everything went silent. You could hear your own heartbeat pounding in your ears. Every breath you took was a struggle as you waited for Voldemort's decision. Finally, he turned his gaze away from you, causing you to release the breath you didn't realise you were holding. The tension in the air was thick, and it felt like no one dared to move.
After what felt like an eternity, Voldemort spoke. “Very well, I will accept your offer. Bring them once they are of age. Do what you please to punish this Gryffindor.”
Regulus had his hand intertwined with yours, giving it an assuring squeeze. “It’s going to be alright, don’t worry.”
As Voldemort's followers, along with your family members, filed out of the room, you quickly rushed and kneeled down beside Sirius’ trembling body, pulling him into a hug, tears streaming down your face.
You choked back tears as you tilted his head so that he could look you straight in the eye. “Siri, look at me,” you choked out, your heart breaking at the sight of your injured older brother. “Open your eyes, please. Sirius, please look at me.”
“Hi, my little starlight,” he rasped, his grey eyes slowly opening to look up at you.
“You’re alright, I got you, you're safe,” You kissed your brother’s forehead, the taste of blood sticking to your lips. “Reggie,” you forced yourself to say through tears. “Help me take Siri back to his room.”
Regulus quickly nodded as he helped you and Sirius out of the library, his arm wrapped around Sirius’ waist to offer support while the two of you brought him back to his room. Once you settled him on his bed, you started to clean his wounds as best as you could. Regulus helped as well, casting healing spells on Sirius to ease his pain.
“I'm sorry,” Sirius said, his voice barely above a whisper. “I brought this on all of you.”
“It's not your fault, Siri,” you reassured him, tears still spilling from your eyes despite wiping them away just seconds ago. “None of this is your fault.”
Regulus handed Sirius a vial of dark red liquid. “Drink this—it's blood replenishing potion. I nicked it from Slughorn’s stash before we left for the holidays. Drink up, you'll feel a bit better.”
“We'll always be here for you, Siri,” you murmured, holding your brother's hand tightly. “No matter what, we'll be here for you, together.”
You grabbed the vial from your brother's hand, uncorked it and force fed it to your eldest brother. Sirius grimaced at the coppery taste, but swallowed nonetheless. After some time, Sirius was finally able to breathe easier, and his pain lessened. He looked at you and Regulus, the same gray eyes mirroring yours.
“Thank you,” Sirius mumbled. “I don't know what I'd do without both of you.”
“We’re siblings, it’s what siblings do—we protect each other,” Regulus said, a smile on his lips, leaning against the wall as he watched over you and Sirius with a determined look in his eyes. “We'll be okay, I promise. We just need to stick together and look out for each other, no matter what.”
“Yes, we will,” you agreed, giving Sirius a reassuring smile. “We'll find a way to get through this together.”
You lay awake in your room, your thoughts drifting back and forth to what had just happened earlier today.
Sirius didn’t do anything to deserve pain and torture. Sirius was the best big brother to you and Regulus; he always made sure the two of you were safe. Whenever either you or Regulus got into trouble, Sirius would do something worse, so he was the one who’d get punished instead. You’d always ask him why he did what he did, but he’d always say: your skin is far better than mine, starlight.
You were grateful for Sirius’ protection from your parents through the years; he and Reggie were your rocks. You wouldn’t have made it without your brothers; you loved them more than anything in the world.
It hurt you when Sirius first went to Hogwarts. You were scared he’d forget you and Regulus while he was at school. Sirius assured the two of you that it wouldn’t happen, but somehow it did. It didn’t happen until Regulus went to Hogwarts, leaving you alone to fend for yourself.
Sirius was sorted into Gryffindor; at first he was absolutely terrified, but in the end he embraced his inner Gryffindor—much to the disappointment of the whole family. Your parents specifically warned you and Regulus not to talk to Sirius while he was at Hogwarts; they wanted the two of you to cut ties with your eldest brother—just because he was a Gryffindor. Of course, you didn’t cut ties. Sirius was your brother; you weren’t just going to throw that away because of him defying tradition. But since Sirius was the disappointment, it fell on Regulus’ shoulders to become the proper heir of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black.
Sirius would send letters, telling you and Regulus about his adventures while being a first year. He told the two of you about his friends, how he was excited for Reg to come to Hogwarts, and how he wanted so badly to have his siblings in Gryffindor too. It created a rift between your brothers, a rift created by your parents’ beliefs that were forced upon Regulus.
When Sirius came back from his first year, Regulus was distant from Sirius, unlike before. Of course, Sirius got worried for his little brother and asked you, but you didn’t know either what was happening because you and Regulus spent the whole year away from each other—with the exception of him sneaking into your room to comfort you when you were punished for not taking your etiquette lessons seriously, like the proper pureblood lady that you are.
The summer before Regulus’ first year and Sirius’ second year was spent in silence. The three of you locked up in your rooms until Sirius decided to be a proper Black. It was torture for you because it was slowly pitting your siblings against each other. The ideas your mother instilled upon you and Regulus were horrid and absolutely disgusting to hear from a mother’s lips—which you knew from an early age—that your mother was not like other mothers. Your aunt Druella was not like your mother—she was kind and loved her daughters—so it confused you as a child: why did Mother not love us?
Your brothers drifted apart completely when Regulus was sorted into Slytherin. Sirius stopped talking to Regulus completely—which broke his heart, but he wouldn’t tell that to Sirius; only you knew—and ignored Regulus for as long as he could while at school. It didn’t help much because Regulus became friends with Severus Snape, the person Sirius despised at Hogwarts.
Still, your brothers sent you letters to make you feel that you weren’t alone. But over the course of that year, the letters slowly stopped. At first, you thought it was because they were busy, but that wasn’t the case. They simply got caught up in their personal lives, forgetting you in the process. You couldn't hate them for it; they were entitled to their own lives outside of you; you were only their sister; you couldn’t demand attention.
You felt alone for the first time in your life. Your brothers left you alone to fend for yourself. You felt betrayed and abandoned by the people you loved most in the world. The months without them were hell. You spent all of your days being trained to be a proper wife when you came of age. You were barely eleven and training to be a wife—the only thing you’re destined to be, according to your family's standards.
When Christmas of that year came, you couldn’t recognise your brothers. Back then, one of you couldn’t be seen alone; it was always the three of you glued to each other's sides. The moment Sirius and Regulus stepped out of the floo, they immediately went to their respective rooms, not even batting an eye at each other or you either. Though it hurt, you were determined to bring back your family—your family, your brothers—and you weren’t going to let your parents’ words affect anything you had with your brothers.
You snuck into their rooms, trying to persuade them to bunk in your room, for old times’ sake, please! But all of your efforts were futile, as neither of them wanted to be in each other's presence other than yours. Well, at least they had common ground, you. Days passed, and they headed back to Hogwarts, leaving you once more. At that point, you came to terms that it would not be easy to bring your family back, but you at least had to try.
Finally, the time for you to attend Hogwarts finally came. And by some miracle, your brothers got along temporarily. It was their little sister’s first year at Hogwarts—they weren’t going to just ignore that and not be excited. Your brothers told you everything you needed to know while the three of you bunked in bed, just like old times.
As soon as you stepped onto the Hogwarts Express, Sirius and Regulus hovered over you like hawks—literally. You were annoyed, but you wouldn’t have it in any other way. Your brothers assured you that they’d still love you no matter which house you got sorted into; you were still their little starlight.
Lo and behold, you were sorted into Slytherin, like every other Black in your family. Your parents were ecstatic; they sent you an owl—a literal eagle owl that was bigger than your head—along with a box of Honeydukes sweets. Regulus was happy that you were sorted in the same house as him and was already eager to show you around the Slytherin common room. Sirius, on the other hand, was happy for you, but he was disappointed that his sister got sorted into the same house generations of family members were in—even Andromeda was in Slytherin—but you assured your eldest brother that nothing was ever going to change between the two of you.
Surprisingly, your Hogwarts years were a blast. By the time you were in your third year, you were at the top of your class and had friends in every year and house. You were popular amongst the crowd—not that you’d ever admit it—you were known as the kindest Black that ever walked the halls of Hogwarts. You made lots of friends in Slytherin and even more in Gryffindor, without your parents’ knowing, of course, because your tattletale of a cousin, Bellatrix, and with the extension of Narcissa, had already graduated prior to your first year.
Sirius and Regulus were extremely protective of you when boys started flocking over you. You had the Black family genes—full lips, aristocratic features, long black hair, and grey eyes—there was no denying that you were beautiful. But there was one boy who caught your eye, which Sirius would not approve of. Despite the fact that you had boys asking you out from left to right, you couldn’t compete with a certain redhead with eyes green as emeralds.
You loved James Potter more than just a friend.
James was kind, funny, brave, and fiercely loyal. Even though he had an ego the size of the Black Lake, he had a golden heart to match it. James never treated you like how other boys treated you; he treated you like a person, not like some trophy to be won. James had an effect on you no one else had; he made you feel like a lovesick girl whenever you’re near him—but you won’t show or tell anyone about it though—butterflies fill your stomach in a frenzy each time he looks at you. But he was your brother’s best friend, meaning he was off limits. There isn’t a written or verbal rule about that, but you knew Sirius would flip if you ever dated his best friend, which is a long shot because James Potter was hopelessly in love with Lily Evans. You hated it, but you didn’t have a choice; Lily was your friend too, and you couldn’t hate her for the things that weren't even her fault.
All of a sudden, you heard the floorboards creak from outside your bedroom, snapping you out of your thoughts. You slowly got out of bed to investigate, confused. Who the hell is up at three in the morning? Kreacher definitely doesn’t stay up this late. You placed your hand on the doorknob, slowly turning it, making sure to be as quiet as humanly possible, only to see your older brother creeping out of his room. Sirius stopped in his tracks when he noticed you, a guilty look plastered on his face, a look you knew oh so well.
“Go back to bed, starlight,” Sirius said, trying to act nonchalant but ultimately failing.
“Where are you going? Why do you have a bag packed? Are you leaving us?” You asked, your lips quivering at the sight of a bag slung over his shoulder.
Sirius sighed, walking towards you. “I’m sorry, starlight, but I have to leave,” he said gently, his breath wavering as he reached for your hand. “If I don’t, I’ll go insane.”
“What about us? Me? Reggie?”
“We can get through this, Siri; please don’t leave us…” you begged, pulling his hands away from your cheeks.
“I’ll write every day. I promise...” Sirius said, cupping your face in his hands. “It’s not safe for me here.” His chest heaved slightly. “You saw what happened, starlight—you know they’ll force me to take the mark, and you know I can’t have that,” he said, his expression solemn. “I have to leave; they’ve finally pushed me too far.”
Suddenly, the floorboards creaked again. Regulus stood behind Sirius, a confused look plastered on his face at the sight of you with tears in your eyes. “What's happening, Sirius, Y/n?” Regulus asked, worry evident in his voice.
Sirius froze at the sound of his voice. He felt you flinch in his arms. He turned to face Regulus, his eyes pleading and watery. “I’m leaving, little brother. I don’t belong here…with you lot,” he said, choking back his tears.
You buried your head back into Sirius’ chest, holding back your sobs. Your legs felt weak, and you had to grab onto your brother for support.
“You're only sixteen, Sirius,” Regulus said, his voice breaking. “You can’t just leave; you'll be disowned, Sirius.”
“I can't stay, Reggie,” Sirius replied, his voice strained. His eyes roamed over his brother's face, the pain and desperation evident in his eyes. “Mother never cared for me; father would rather die than acknowledge me.”
You looked up at Sirius in horror, tears running down your cheeks. He was right. Your parents hated him. They treated him like scum, all because he wanted to be a good and decent person. “Please, Sirius, don’t leave. We need you. I need you.”
Sirius sighed, his heart breaking at the sight of his crying sister. “I know, I know, but I can’t stand another day here. There’s so much going on—so much they expect me to do, but I can’t take this life.”
You hugged your brother tightly, silently casting a silencing charm as you let tears fall from your eyes. This wasn’t supposed to happen. Your fucking parents, Voldemort, fucking ruined it all.
“What about Y/n? It's our job to protect her!” Regulus cried out, trying to reason with Sirius, his eyes blazing. “What? You’re just going to leave?”
“I know, little brother, and that’s why I need you to protect her for me,’’ Sirius said slowly, his voice barely audible.
Regulus narrowed his eyes at his older brother. “Sirius, you’re a Gyrffindor! Be fucking brave, for once!” Regulus hissed angrily, fists clenched, and his lips curled into a scowl.
“For once?” Sirius snapped angrily, moving away from you. “I have been brave for you and Y/n for as long as any of us can remember, Regulus!”
Regulus’ expression morphed into anger; his eyes were blazing with fury and resentment. Sirius took a deep breath, but before he could say anything more, you piped up. “Reg...please.”
“No, Y/n! He’s only thinking about himself-”
“No, you're only thinking about yourself—what about me? MY future—how would you have expected me to become one of Voldemort’s minions and settle down and have children with a woman I don't even love?! I don't want their kind of life, not anymore,” Sirius yelled, his voice full of anger.
You flinched at the venom in Sirius’ voice. “Please, Sirius, don’t leave.”
“I’m sorry starlight, but I have to. I can’t be a part of this twisted family and the Dark Lord's reign of terror. I can’t keep pretending to be someone I’m not.” Sirius said, his voice filled with pain and determination
“Where will you go? ” You whispered, looking up at Sirius.
“The Potters, James said his parents would take me in.”
Regulus’ eyes filled with anger again. “You're choosing James Potter over your own brother and sister?” Regulus hissed angrily, pulling you away from Sirius.
“Yes!” Sirius yelled, his eyes turning cold. “I'm choosing freedom and life over this twisted family and the Dark Lord! I can't stay, Regulus, and you know it. Don't try and stop me!”
“You've made your choice,” Regulus spat, grabbing your hand. “Come on, starlight.”
Sirius watched as you followed Regulus, his heart breaking. He could feel his eyes burning and his tears threatening to fall.
“Starlight..?” Sirius called out, taking a step after you and Regulus. At the word, you both stopped. For a moment, Regulus turned to face Sirius, and then he took his younger sister by the shoulders.
“Stop crying for him, Y/n, he’s weak.” Regulus spat harshly.
And with that, Sirius slung his bag over his shoulder and walked to the Floo in your father’s study. “Potter Manor!”
You and Regulus stood there in silence, watching helplessly as you let out a choked sob. “Sirius, please don’t go,” you pleaded, but your voice was drowned by the sound of the flames that engulfed him, disappearing from your sight.
Regulus pulled you into his arms, holding you tightly as you cried. “I’m sorry, starlight,” Regulus whispered, his voice breaking. “I'll never leave you, I swear.”
You clung to your brother, and tears streamed continuously down your face as you realised that everything had changed. Your brother, Sirius, the one who always protected you, was gone. And everything was going to be different from now on.
Now you have another reason to hate Christmas.

OC Introductions
So, my Harry Potter fic The Other Side now has a spinoff thanks to @randomestfandoms-ocs enabling and then also helping so here is From Now On, which is a Beauxbatons focused fic! (Tagging @cecexwrites and @daughter-of-melpomene because Harry Potter)
Mathieu Cayard (Dylan Sprayberry FC), Seamus Finnigan ship. Featured in The Other Side, Mathieu is in the Lead house at Beauxbatons and is a half blood who joined when they went to visit Hogwarts which is where he meets Seamus. He is a gifted dueler
Emilie Cayard (Clara Galle FC), TBD ship. Mathieu’s older sister and twin to Lisette. She is in the Mercury house and used to date Fabian. She visits Hogwarts for the Tournament as Fleur is her best friend and her ship may be from Hogwarts I just haven’t decided that yet. She is usually regarded as the “meanest” of her siblings but really she just stands up for them and herself, absolutely adores Alchemy and is fantastic at Potions
Lisette Cayard (Amy Forsyth FC), TBD ship. Mathieu’s older sister and twin to Emilie. She is technically the oldest Cayard and is in the Mercury house. She leans strongly towards the muggle classes and does not go to Hogwarts during Goblet of Fire
Fabian Darche (Benjamin Wadsworth FC), Nikita Carrero ship. Fabian is in the Tin house and plays Quidditch, he is honestly not the nicest person but he’s overcompensating a lot for his pureblood family’s reputation. He does go to Hogwarts during Goblet of Fire as he was entering his name for the tournament
Karline Eckardt (Lulu Antariksa FC) TBD ship. Karline is in the Lead house and is Beauxbatons’ resident bad girl who used to date Ximena. She is a talented witch but does not learn very well in school settings, she also plays Quidditch and is from a high ranking halfblood wizarding family in Germany (her father was muggleborn) She is 50/50 on if she goes to Hogwarts I haven’t decided
Dominic Shellard (Kit Connor FC), Jean-Claude Barrault ship. A half blood former Hogwarts Gryffindor student, Dominic only recently transferred to Beauxbatons due to his parents believing it to be safer. He is in the Tin house and is very good at Care of Magical Creatures and art
Jean-Claude Barrault (Joe Locke FC), Dominic Shellard ship. Born to a legacy of Beauxbatons students, he is in the Tin house. Sort of a golden boy of school, he is friends with many students and somehow has gotten the favor of Karline, he is a pureblood and very talented with languages. He was going to go visit Hogwarts but because of Dominic, he doesn’t.
Nikita Carrero (Mirela Balic FC), Fabian Darche ship. Born in Spain, Nikita is half Veela and in the Mercury house. She is one of the more popular students, often getting lots of attention with her Veela status and willingness to use it. She is nice deep down, but she hides it and focuses on her talent in charms. She does go to Hogwarts to see the Tournament
Yvette Bédard (Valentina Zenere FC), Viktor Krum ship. A quarter Veela, she is the Delacour girls’ cousin and adores them immensely. She is in the Lead house and has a habit of playing into the stereotypes and assumptions about her just to fuck with people when in actuality she is incredible at Transfiguration and an amazing photographer. She goes to Hogwarts where she meets Viktor
Simone Lachaud (Chandler Kinney FC), Joaquin Aguilar and Charlie Weasley ship. A former homeschooled witch, she is in the Tin house. Largely clueless to muggle things at first as she was raised by her wizard father and his family but she ends up having a talent for riding horses, and animals in general, and goes to Hogwarts to try to compete.
Joaquin Aguilar (Sergio Mayer Mori FC), Simone Lachaud and Charlie Weasley ship. One of Beauxbatons' top Quidditch players, he is in the Lead house. His main struggle in school has been learning about and meeting his half sister, but besides Quidditch he is really good with music. He has had a crush on Simone on and off for years but doesn't really act on it until they go to Hogwarts for the Tournament
Ximena Aguilar (Lizeth Selene FC), TBD ship. A Mercury house student dealing with both learning and meeting her half brother and a not so recent breakup with Karline, she decides she doesn't have it in her to go to Hogwarts and stays to focus on her dueling.

Bellatrix Black (Lestrange) Headcanon - Noble House of Black - Black sisters
As a child, Bellatrix was energetic, curious and precocious, always showing bouts of magic and asking questions about everything around her.
She had mental issues from generations of in-breeding and inherited the Black family madness, but that only started to show later on in life.
As the eldest of the three sisters, her parents put the most expectations on her to be the perfect pure-blood daughter who would honor their family name.
Like most other rich pure-blood, she was spoiled and given the best of everything materially and repeatedly told that as a Black family member, she was better than everyone else, contributing to her arrogant, self-centered, and narcissistic personality.
As the eldest daughter, she also took most of the punishments for her sisters at home which led her to her developing Stockholm syndrome and later mental instability.
She was sorted into Slytherin and became part of a gang that was intrigued by dark arts and constantly mocked half-bloods and Muggle-borns.
She was an excellent student, excelling especially in Defense, Astronomy and Ancient Runes, though she regarded Charms and History of Magic as ‘soft’ options.
She was also an active member of the dueling club and several times champion of dueling competitions.
She didn't have much interest in Herbology or healing magic that required patience and compassion, and she scoffed at Divination.
She wasn't too popular with the teachers who considered her part of 'the wrong crowd', and in particular she and Dumbledore shared a mutual disdain for each other.
Younger students were intimidated by her, and sometimes even her sisters were afraid of inciting her explosive temper.
However, she also had the rebellious spirit of a teenager: instead of being the elegant and well-bred lady that her parents expected, she didn't want to marry and become a broodmare.
This did not sit well with her parents, especially her father who adhered strongly to traditional gender roles, and caused significant tension between them.
Frustrated with society's expectations of her to be the submissive pure-blood wife, Bellatrix got more and more immersed in dark arts and her beliefs in pure-blood supremacy became more extreme.
She was frustrated that her father did not see her worth beyond a pawn in the pure-blood marriage market, and developed feelings of inadequacy, resentment, and self-hatred.
She was also furious that she was not made a Prefect due to her overly rebellious and unseemly behavior, despite being the top student in Slytherin.
She achieved Outstanding and Exceeds Expectations in most subjects, and once even entertained the idea of becoming an Auror.
Rich, attractive, and magnetic, she was determined to prove her worth and rise above everyone else so no one could ever tell her what to do.
She was friendly with fellow Slytherin student Rodolphus Lestrange, yet did not love him romantically. However, at their families' insistence, they got into a loveless arranged marriage.
Rodolphus was the one who introduced her to the Death Eaters since his father was one of Voldemort's earliest supporters, and she gradually rose through the ranks to outshine her husband and his brother.
As a Death Eater, Bellatrix finally found the meaning of her life, being recognized for her talents by this mesmerizing dark wizard, and told she was better than all the men around her.
Once put down by her parents, teachers, and the rigid pure-blood society, Bellatrix now enjoyed her newfound power to lord over others and reveled in her own supremacy.
Not having a single maternal bone in her body, she resolved not to stay at home and have children like the other silly pure-blood women, but instead devote her life to her lord and fight for his cause.
The reason she loved Voldemort so much was because he was the first person to truly see her worth and tell her so, though she didn't see that he was just using her.
She was outraged and felt deeply betrayed by her sister's Andromeda elopement with a Muggle-born, but was delighted when Narcissa married her fellow Death Eater Lucius Malfoy.
Linked by their marriages and their shared cause, the Black, Lestrange, and Malfoy families grew close and Bellatrix would often hang around Malfoy Manor.
Trained by Voldemort himself in the dark arts, she excelled especially in the Unforgivables, and swore to use them to exact revenge on whoever tries to hurt her.
She particularly hated the 'blood traitors' in her family who fought for the Order, such as her cousin Sirius and later her niece Nymphadora Tonks.
She wasn't that close with her cousins due to the age gap but approved of Regulus' decision to join the Death Eaters.
However, she scoffed at Regulus' softness and his inability to fully embrace the dark arts and instead preferred another new recruit, Barty Crouch Jnr.
She decided to manipulate Barty Jnr by playing on his frustration with his father and mold him into a vessel of unwavering devotion.
She wasn't too bothered by Regulus' death since he wasn't very useful to their cause. She did however mourn her other cousin Evan Rosier since he was a ferocious fighter and took down many Aurors.
She used hurting others as a coping mechanism for the hurt she once received, instead of breaking out of the abusive cycle, and was often casually abusive to those she perceived as weaker.
She derived her pleasure from intimidating and exercising power over others, and never showed respect to anyone except Voldemort, always snarling and shrieking, and would become extremely aggressive and violent at the slightest provocation.
Together with her husband and brother-in-law, she fought and bled like a true warrior for more than a decade, sharing in their glory and looking forward to a future where she, Bellatrix Lestrange, true heir of the Blacks, could stand with her head held high, and never bow to anyone except her beloved lord.

my thoughts on the Black cousins and who did the "best" job of living up to their family's expectations
Narcissa. She's the only one who fully did imo. Sorted into Slytherin, expressed blood purist views, married a wealthy pure-blood, had a son, supported the Death Eaters without actually joining them (just like older generations of the family), and managed to avoid getting into legal trouble twice. Yes, she gets her moment of defiance at the end, but that's defiance against Voldemort, not the family, and I'm not convinced it's something the older generations of Blacks would have disapproved of.
Regulus. He tried very, very hard. Sorted into Slytherin, expressed blood purist views, and was the loyal, responsible son in contrast to Sirius's rebellion. imo the family wouldn't have necessarily expected him to join the Death Eaters but most would have supported his decision. But then he goes and gets himself killed at 17-18 years old, leaving behind no children to carry on the family name.
Bellatrix. To me she's just as much of a rebel as Sirius and Andromeda, in her own way. Sorted into Slytherin, expressed blood purist views, married a wealthy pure-blood - but then became a Death Eater and got herself sent to Azkaban rather than pretending to be under the Imperius Curse. There are signs that pure-blood society is quite sexist about the role of women (like the lack of female Death Eaters and the all-male Slytherin Quidditch team), and the way she flouts those gender norms combined with the fact that she didn't get away with it makes me think the family would have been deeply disappointed, in the end.
Sirius. Sorted into Gryffindor, rebellious from a young age, rejected blood purist ideas and made friends with blood traitors and half-bloods. But they didn't disown him until he ran away, so they must have been holding out hope that he would come around. His imprisonment in Azkaban and failure to pass on the family name would count against him as well (much like with Bellatrix and Regulus).
Andromeda. Sorted into Slytherin, but then rejected blood purity and married a Muggle-born. Although Sirius was more outwardly rebellious as a child, the reason I've ranked Andromeda lower is because I firmly believe Sirius would have been welcomed back if he changed his mind, especially after Regulus's death. Whereas I'm convinced that Andromeda would not have been as long as Ted was still alive, and would have always been viewed as "tainted" by her decision to marry him.

I read. SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!
Isolation by bexchan
Okay, quick background I have read and listened to a many Dramione. I don't consider myself an all knowing, but I have some over analyzed thoughts on this subject.
I am not done listening to this story. This is subject to change possibly....
Let's begin..
Isolation is considered a top tier dramonie fanfiction. I am currently listening to the story and understand that may not allow me to dive into it as much as I would like.
I have the thus far considered the story ...... interesting but not inciting.
Ranking key points. On Chapter 27 right now.
PLOT: picks up after HBP (half-blood prince) Hermione does not go on the quest for the horcrux instead stays to help Hogwarts. Ron and harry go off send her owl every fortnight, Hedwig is not dead nor Moody eye. The events of that night never happen. Professor Snape shows up with Draco Malfoy looking for somewhere to hide him. Snape did kill Dumbledore and Malfoy did let in the death eaters so he is considered partially responsible. McGonagall task Hermonie to take in Draco in her dorm as prefect she has a dorm with 2 rooms. He can't leave so Isolation. They live like that for a while and eventually begin a sexual and emotional relationship. Around January the ministry is taken the death eaters are going to Hogwarts to get all the muggle born wizards. Here is when Hermione and Draco get separated. He gets sent to his Andromeda Tonks and she to her daughter Nymphadora Tonks. so far--
Smut.... good. The smuts good I definitely think that really helps in the overall rating. In order to have a well written fan fiction the fantasy of a good fuck is paramount. That being said the over all tone of when they did the deed varied. He NEEDS her. He listens to her soothing noises when she showers. They do it to vent yet it does become this sweet thing that they can cherish. They also have many sweet moments. Personally them reading together is sooo cute. ughhh shakespare. omg.
Hermione's depth. unfortunately, I have not yet experienced the power of this character. She lacks something of self-driven force. she was never the most confident person but in this version she withers at the hands of Draco. Leaving a bad taste. I did appreciate the MLK bit when she's trying to convince Draco of the 'mud blood' word basically being racist. I don't really feel like Shes helping in the war effort much. She has literally only read books. This is halfway through may change. AT this point we will see if their affection for each other goes beyond being stuck together.
DRACO is a fun character to analyze he changes so much depending on the story. THIS IS A TOXIC MANNNNN. He is cussing everyone out Hermione, McGonagall, himself. I don't love that every other word he says is Fuck. fucking. Hell. It lacks the sophistication of noble born pure breed wizard that's all I'm saying. IT IS REFREASHING to SEE Draco Malfoy be in need. He needs Hermione beyond his eventual attraction, he needs her to keep himself from going crazy and not give him up to death eat. He is forced to trust her well before she ever really has to trust him truly. I dislike how difficult it is for him to truly consider having given up the death eater life. He grapples with it; I get that he does not throw off everything has learned. But he doesn't on his on consider that being force into isolation because he couldn't kill Dumbledore. Might be that moment he realizes ' oh I don't want to do this. ' Hermione' Is cramming that done his throat making it feel just forces. HE also yells at he a lot in the first bit to leave him alone.
WE have nooooo ron or harry still.
we got luna and blaze, that intro to that was the sweetest thing thus far.
The War is progressing in different events.
The story is very English.
I will update as I get through the story.

𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐬 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐫'𝐬 𝐄𝐫𝐚 --
The Werewolf Incident - Sirius told Severus that Lily was in danger and went to the shack, hence why Severus risked himself to go in and save her, not knowing it was a set-up.
Tobias Snape broke Eileens’ wand out of rage and disgust for ‘her kind’, hence why she was later powerless against him and the abuse grew more severe.
Despite the fact Eileen could be neglectful at times due to Tobias abuse that was not only directed at Severus, but at her too, Severus had the strongest bond with his mother. He loved her and looked up to her. He couldn't give a shit about his father though.
The Sorting Hat told Severus that he’d be good in Gryffindor for his courage and bravery, but after his interaction with James and Sirius on the train ride there, it was an immediate "NOPE" to that. Slytherin was always his goal. However, he did hesitate, knowing Lily was part of that house too.
Severus was bullied by his own House in hopes of "toughening him up", hence why we don’t see any Slytherin jump to his defense when bullied by the Marauders. Slytherin had this rule of: "Only the strongest survive."
Over the years, the Slytherin's in his house would get on Severus for being friends with Lily ("Why are you friends with that Mudblood? You can make better friends with us instead.") At first, Severus was good at ignoring it, staying true to his word about blood status not mattering. However, over the years, some in his house (Mulciber and Avery in particular) had voiced threatening to go after Lily if Severus didn't join them, especially once they graduated and became Death Eaters. Besides the constant bullying he received from the Marauder's, this was just another thing to keep him on edge and guarded at Hogwarts. And something that caused Severus to start distancing himself from Lily, and in turn, their friendship start to crumbling.
Having come from a poverty stricken neighborhood and a broken home with an abusive father, Severus never liked it when someone took pity on him. Pride is his downfall and it is because of these reasons that when Lily ends up standing up for him during one of the Marauder's attacks that Severus snaps at her with embarrassment despite not meaning to call her a Mudblood. And of course this leads to becoming his Worst Memory, not only because he lost his friendship with Lily, but mostly because of the fact he hurt her.
From that moment on, Severus learns to never let his emotions get the best of him like that again. He tries to learn how to control them, or at least choose his words carefully, so he can never have a repeat of that moment ever again.
He takes on the title "The Half-Blood Prince" sometime in his Sixth Year. It's something to bring him comfort as he is still dealing with the loss of Lily's friendship and enduring bullying from the Maruaders. It is also him trying to give himself some power, purpose and shedding anything that makes him feel the opposite. Calling himself "The Half-Blood Prince" is Severus' way of saying: "No matter how many times you may try to kick me down, I'm still worthy as a person, even as a Half-Blood." It's a declaration during what he thinks to be the darkest time of his life.
His father died of Alcoholism after his 16th birthday. There was a small moment of bliss in the Snape Household because of it. Severus enjoyed these small moments with his mother. However, Eileen ended up passing away on his 17th birthday, but not before leaving Severus his childhood home to him in a will.
Despite not sharing any of their beliefs about Muggle-Borns, Severus ends up joining the group of future Death Eaters, becoming one after graduation because he feels he has no other purpose in life. He had already lost everything (and because Voldemort can actually be a very persuasive, manipulative person, he promises Severus that his greatness and talents will shine in his ranks and he will never be treated terribly ever again.)-- "You can have everything you want, just shake my hand and sign your life away."
At first, it all seemed promising. He could start to see himself having a future again and everything the Dark Lord had promised. However, after overhearing a prophecy about "the Dark Lord and the one to defeat him" being read and reporting it back to his master, the reality of the situation and just how much he had lost himself in the darkness came back to bite Severus when Voldemort set his targets on Lily (and her family.)
Severus used Felix Felicis to ask Voldemort to spare Lily (not because he needed the courage to do so. It was strictly for the luck of Voldemort agreeing to do so.)
#starwrittenfates headcanons ;;#I am CRYING over the tragedy that is my boy here#I have so many headcanons for him it is crazy#I'm coming back with more in a Part 2 for his time as a Professor and Double Agent :) and plenty more after that#tw abuse#tw alchoholism#𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐘 ⟫ The Half-Blood Prince (𝐒𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐔𝐒 𝐒𝐍𝐀𝐏𝐄)

canon compliant ramblings (1/?)
He likes Penelope. Brilliant, bold, bright Penelope, made of smiles that light up rooms, who doesn’t think he’s a pompous arse.
Penelope's read all of the same books Percy has and then some; and she's never out of recommendations or intriguing commentary to show for it. She'll question his sources and rip his arguments apart, and his work will, always, ultimately be better for it. She can argue any case just as fiercely and passionately as Percy, and he falls in love a little bit every time. They laugh it off, proclaiming victory or conceding defeat, and go about their days content with a good verbal sparring.
They get each other, but they're not the same.
Where Percy is restrained, methodical, and often playing roles, Penny is authentic and unapologetically herself. He both envies and adores that about her; the way she laughs, the single dimple on her right cheek, how she never shies away from her feelings. For Percy, who's always struggled at reading people ("read the room", "take the hint", he's heard so many times he's lost count), it's a welcome reprieve. Percy knows he can trust Penelope to tell him what she wants, what she means. He won't be blindsided.
He reckons he could enjoy her company for that alone, were Penelope a lot less smart and a lot more boring and uninteresting.
(Or perhaps he wouldn't, he frowns. There is a not-unsubstantial chance Penelope would be a lot more superficial and vapid in turn. But that's a non-issue. Would they run out of things to talk about?)
Penelope is a half-blood on a mere technicality, which raises eyebrows left and right even from the most tolerant of wizards. She's a little round (Percy's reminded of his mother at her age), a shade of tan not very common in their corner of the British Isles, and she speaks languages which, much to his befuddlement, their muggle-born classmates seem to sneer at more viciously.
Percy is very aware that all of this matters, socially. He knows what it's like to be poor and shunned and ridiculed -- that he can call himself a pureblood despite it, that he's at the top of his year and has many of the teachers' favour is not a deterrent. It's a drive, actually. It's why he has high ambitions, why he tries his best to dress and act the part -- why he complies even when he doesn't understand, even when it makes him feel like clawing at his own skin.
But Percy's not Penelope, so he never finds an edition of Witch's Weekly with a five-page article on miraculous weight loss open on his bed, and he doesn't hear snickers from behind his roommates' curtains when he angrily tosses it into the trash. The other boys don't tell him that he's "so brave" for not caring what other people say about his body, or not using glamour charms to hide his pimples, or for not wanting to know where he ranked on a “list of attractiveness” some git pinned to the announcement board in the Common Room. The only person who ever comments on Percy's food intake at school is Oliver -- but Oliver is an athlete and a bit of a health freak, and Oliver's comments are harmless; fondly exasperated "You’d have less headaches if you ate more greens", not malicious or backhanded.
(“Fewer”, Percy corrects him distractedly, and so Oliver rolls his eyes and piles broccoli onto his plate in revenge.)
Percy’s not Penelope, so Henrietta Glossop's attention-grabbing "Wow, I could never eat that much" is not directed at him. It reverberates across the Great Hall, though -- he catches it from two tables away. Percy's not Penelope, and nobody tells him he cheated his way into a blood status, calls him slurs, or makes fun of his adoptive mother for being a Squib.
He doesn't understand -- Penelope is brilliant.
She's eloquent, knowledgeable, and far more travelled than anyone he's ever met. She knows the ins and outs of Wizarding Law and international treaties better than most adults in his life, and Percy finds himself enraptured by the way she lights up talking about it more and more frequently over the years.
He finds her gorgeous in ways he doesn't fully comprehend yet, and she's one of his favourite people. He can’t fathom anyone seeing her differently.
Percy tells her this, once, at the end of their fourth year. He’s so consumed in righteous anger on her behalf that he completely misses the way Penelope freezes; how she turns to him as though she's seeing him for the very first time. He catches her smiling, though, and so, a little confused, Percy smiles back, because it's the polite thing to do.
In hindsight, that's probably when things start to change.
info sheet (i guess).
random stuff pours out of my head sometimes. this is canon-compliant to a certain extent (that Penny and Percy like each other), but it's a lot of my own (various, overlapping, inconsistent) headcanons too. it was weirdly worded, so, for context: this Penelope is the UK-born daughter of a muggle man, a thai immigrant who gets remarried to a squib, and because the woman adopts Penelope that makes it so she has a set of wizard grandparents. this means she's "technically" a half-blood, and that doesn't sit well/is oddly regarded by a lot of people. hope that makes sense.
needs revision

Eren Yeager: Hogwarts AU
Eren Yeager is a Half-Blood (Seer) wizard that was born on the 30th of March 1981 and started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1982, being sorted into Gryffindor house.
He had a Red Oak wand with a Dragon Heartstring Core.
His Patronus was a Magpie.
His favorite subject was Defense Against the Dark Arts and his least favorite was Potions.
He was one of the Gryffindor Prefects in his year and Head-Boy.
Eren was best described as hardheaded, strong-willed, passionate, and impulsive, which are attributes of both his strong determination to protect his loved ones and, eventually, his equally strong determination to stop the use of dark magic. Even as a young child, he was so intent on being an auror that he argued with and shouted at his mother, referring to the people in Diagon Alley as "silly" and comparing them to complacent livestock.
Eren cared deeply for his friends and family, risking harm and even death in order to protect them. As a child, he took on larger boys who bullied Armin Arlert and, more tragically, he attempted to save his mother while she was being tortured to death by two Pureblood supremacist. Eren was also capable of displaying violent behavior in defense of people he did not even know. This was highlighted when he attempted to rescue Mikasa Ackerman by brutally slaughtering two of the human traffickers who had captured her.
After Armin showed Eren a book depicting the wonders of the non-magical world, he grew to share his friend's curiosity of the world beyond magic and decided to see it for himself. This led Eren to develop a scornful attitude towards anyone who was content to live and die with no muggle interaction. As a result of this, he greatly admired the aurors from the Ministry of Magic, regarding them as "heroes" and wishing to join their ranks as soon as he became eligible for enrollment. He was quick to take offense when anyone spoke badly of aurors, and his determination to join them caused friction between himself, his mother, and to a lesser extent, Mikasa.
Eren has a marked lack of self-restraint that often led him into trouble, causing his friends and family to worry about him. His limited self-control was evident in his temper, which often caused him to act recklessly in anger, or say things he himself knew he should not have. This was exacerbated by his tendency to view the world in terms of black and white, where individuals who deny others their freedom were worthless scum, unfit to be left alive. Though he had great compassion, Eren had little in the way of empathy and was prone to taking things at face value, evaluating situations or ideas solely by his own arbitrary perspective and rarely ever thought deeper about them unless someone else pointed things out for him.
Though Eren spoke about eradicating pureblood supremecy with seemingly great confidence, his bravado hid deep insecurities. He was often ready to blame himself and his incompetence whenever something went wrong, believing a course of action he took - or failed to take - was the reason for the disastrous results. This was most evident when he blamed himself for the death of Levi Ackerman's squad, and for the deaths of the many aurors that perished in the rescue operation after he had been kidnapped by Reiner Braun and Bertolt Hoover.
Eren's ordeals since the coup d'état have mellowed his personality considerably. When he discovered the truth about where his father had been the night his mother was murdered, he was willing to ask Historia Reiss to eat kill for the good of humanity. He admitted that he viewed himself as weak, and that his reliance on his magic proved it. It took a lot of encouragement from his friends for him to overcome this state of despair and regain his passion.
By the time he found out from his father's books that not all Slytherins are against Muggleborns, he seemed to have let go of his hatred against the rival house. When passing by a scared first-year from Slytherin house on the last day of his 5th year, he showed no signs of anger or unrest, and instead calmly told her where she needed to go.
Eren possesses great amounts of perseverance, fortitude, and determination. As such, he managed to perform complex spells, even when his wand was damaged, and graduate as fifth top student in his year despite his lack of natural talent.
Eren had been noted to be quite charismatic and had a talent for delivering impassioned speeches, often unwittingly managing to persuade the mass of his listeners to sympathize with his point of view. Even Jean Kirstein, his bitter rival, had admitted this, as he convinced over half a dozen students in his year to consider becoming aurors after graduating. Four years later, he made use of this skill consciously, as shown when he easily lifted Falco's spirits and convinced him to deliver a letter outside of Diagon Alley, despite the fact that his parents had forbidden him from leaving the wizard street.
In the years since his mother's killers were brought to justice, Eren had shown remarkable progress in his analytical and tactical skills, both in and outside of battle. Apart from maintaining his cover as a dark wizard for an extended period of time and procuring a method of transporting his letters to the Auror's Department, Eren accurately guessed the source of Falco Grice's injuries and the reason why he wanted to become a Prefect and Head-Boy. Later on, he successfully led Reiner into a trap, and in his battle against Lara Tybur, he quickly deduced her true location. When he was unable to crack her protection charm himself, he was resourceful enough to use Porco Galliard's spell as an extra power-up to kill her and obtain the Elder Wand.
Eren was aided in this by his unnervingly stoic and calm demeanor he developed since infiltrating the organisation working for Zeref, never losing his composure and usually wearing a blank expression on his face, no matter how dire or stressful the situation may be. Although he admitted to becoming angry when Koslow traumatized a few werewolves in the organisation, he remained outwardly unfazed during the incident. Additionally, he appeared to have become less proud overall, thanking Mikasa for helping him, which he normally used to dislike and criticize her for.
His infiltration of Zeref's Army had given him a change in perspective regarding his enemies. After spending time working for Zeref, he came to understand that his enemies were people no different from his own. Because of this, he deeply empathized with Reiner and the others who grew up in Pureblood families with prejudiced views, letting go of his desire to kill them in revenge for attacking his home and stating that they were simply victims. Nevertheless, he still prioritized his personal mission of destroying the Auror's Department's enemies for the sake of wizardkind's freedom, regardless of how many lives were lost on either side. Furthermore, this personal mission had driven him enough that he killed many Purebloods during the 4th Wizarding War and declared he will trample down all of the Purebloods to exterminate all life outside of the Blood-Traitors and Muggles.
Eren believed that righteous goals sometimes require unethical means. He was ready and willing to use such methods himself when he declared war against Zeref's army. Eren abused the twelve-year-old Falco's trust, fully aware of his family's precarious situation, and eventually killed dozens of innocent civilians (including children and muggles) as collateral damage in a surprise attack on Willy Tybur.
In spite of this, he seemed to have developed a dislike for war, referring to it as "hell." He believed that, with good reason, no one would want to go to war if they knew the suffering it would put them through.
Eren's time-serving in Zeref's Army also seemed to have had an effect on his psyche to some extent. While he had shown great sorrow for comrades who have died on expeditions, and had demonstrated a great amount of compassion for his former classmates, he laughed upon hearing that Sasha Blouse's final words were "meat;" although he changed his reaction and was seen about to cry after Jean Kirstein accused him of being responsible for her death and remembered Sasha's conviction that they would have more sheep and cows after defeating Zeref.
It was later revealed that Eren knew the future due to being a Seer like his father and had been spiraling down a state of depression, knowing what the inevitable outcome of the present would be. While he did wish for a peaceful solution, he understood the impossibility of it better than all around him, even Armin.
After starting to massacre a bunch of Purebloods, Eren had intended for the wizarding world to see the Blood-Traitors who stopped him as heroes. However, he was still unsure if his friends could have really stopped him, noting he would have completed the massacre if they did not. Eren could not pinpoint the reason he wanted to wipe out the world, recalling Grisha telling him "you are free" the day he was born. In a rare display of emotions since years, Eren broke down to Armin at the thought of Mikasa finding someone else after his death, and revealed his true feelings about her, causing Armin to pity him. Eren desired to be with Mikasa and everyone else, but knew he could not be forgiven for his actions after wiping out 80% of the wizarding world's population.

Until the Last Drop
𝑃𝑎𝑟𝑡 2, 𝐶ℎ𝑎𝑝𝑡𝑒𝑟 2
»»-------------¤-------------««
After a long, exhausting summer holiday, Y/N couldn't help but be happy to return to Hogwarts. She had become very familiar with the school and the professors, Hogwarts was her true (more or less) home.
Her mother wasn't awful, she still had a sliver of human decency and empathy in her. But she'd always work late, long shifts at the Ministry as an auror, and when she 𝑤𝑎𝑠 at home, she wouldn't dare interact or speak with Y/N. The girl felt alone and troubled at home, like she had no one to turn to. Not even her own mother, which was sad to an extent.
Her father wasn't bad at all, in contrast to her mother. F/N F/L/N was very kind and understanding toward his daughter, even though no one would know when he arrived home from his shifts.
The Department of Mysteries was a very dodgy place to work at, hence the name. He was a well-respected colleague among the other Ministry workers, and had a high-ranking position. What more could Y/N want? Well, aside from more affection...
*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚:
As soon as the Slytherin walked through the immense doors of Hogwarts, and her eyes fell on the Great Hall, she couldn't help but smile ever so lightly. She didn't display affection, rarely did, but that didn't mean she wasn't happy inside.
The girl sat down at the green table on the far left, and listened to Dumbledore as he spoke. He finally gave words of wisdom, like everyone said he did, and not some 'Nitwit' or 'Blubber' nonsense like last year. He didn't act very wise, at times.. But Y/N had to give it to the old man; his sense of humor was a bit endearing, though childish. Draco was more upset than usual; Harry, Fred, George and Ron were not at the Gryffindor table.. Merlin, something was going on again. Y/N decided to reluctantly show awkward empathy by initiating conversation with the silvery-haired, cocky boy. "Malfoy, everything in order? You seem quite brooding, more than usual.", Y/N chimed in monotonously.
"I'm fine, leave me alone.", the boy spat.
Well, this went down the gutter, Y/N thought. Maybe it'd be better if she didn't push? She was terrible at socializing regardless.
࿇ ══━━━━✥◈✥━━━━══ ࿇
Halfway through the banquet, the headmaster tipped his goblet and requested for silence. Everyone complied. "I'm pleased to inform you that this year's Defence against the Dark Arts post will he occupied by Professor Lockhart.", Dumbledore pointed his hand toward the strawberry blonde man, who stood up and flashed his iconic million-galleon smile.
Of course, how could she forget. The overly-confident, arrogant and exceedingly stupid author, Gilderoy Lockhart.. Not to mention his terrible sense of fashion. Euh, look at those blue robes! An atrocity.
Y/N remebered him, the fool of a wizard who took a photograph with her and it landed straight on the Daily Prophet. Commenting on Y/N's parents, their occupations, and wealth.. Not that the girl wasn't aware of it all, surely. Only to boast, and another story for him to contort into his own little fantasy where he is portrayed the hero.
Draco couldn't help but smirk as he, too, remembered this curious memory back in Flourish and Blott's.
"What are you grinning at, boy?", Y/N spat in an agitated tone, which made Malfoy giggle. "Nothing, nothing.. Sorry, L/N.", he muttered and smiled, before turning back to his platter and cutlery.
❛ ━━━━━━・❪ ❁ ❫ ・━━━━━━ ❜
A few more crazy weeks had passed, with there being evidence of writings on the corridor walls, mainly threats spelled out in blood that involved half-bloods and muggle-borns, saying they'll rid the school of them. No one knew who was writing them, though it is rumored that the heir of Salazar Slytherin was the one behind all of these threats.
✰⋆。:゚・*☽:゚・⋆。✰⋆。:゚・*☽:゚・⋆。✰⋆。:゚・*☽
McGonagall had a more worried look on her face in Transfiguration, seeing as she knew all too well the whole school is in danger, and may possibly even close. Hogwarts closing was a not a very common occasion, mind you.
Ron was trying to perform Vera Verto, but his damaged wand had managed to give the goblet a rat's tail and fur, instead of turning it into a rat. Harry was laughing at him, and Hermione was grinning. McGonagall didn't bother praise Y/N for getting the spell correct on her first attempt; she was lost in her thoughts. Y/N was a bit upset since professor McGonagall was a bit of a mother figure for her, but she'd rather jump off Gryffindor tower than admit such a thing to anyone.
The class passed through agonizing, slow silence, the only sound being the bell tolling. Every student had ran out of the class, avoiding McGonagall, while Y/N decided to stay behind for a bit. McGonagall looked up from her desk somberly. "You are dismissed, Miss L/N.", she mumbled grimly and looked back down. "I apologize for the disturbance, professor, but I'd like to know something.", the girl explained quietly and monotonously. McGonagall adjusted her spectacles with her bony fingers and sighed, clasping her hands.
"Please, go ahead, L/N.", she replied nonchalantly and exhaled through her nose.
"Are the rumors true? About the chamber, i mean. I think i might know who the heir is, professor."McGonagalls eyes shot up and she almost gasped, placing a hand on her chest. "Indeed?" She inquired, taken aback. She quickly regained her composure, despite this, and cleared her throat. "The chamber has been opened, correct. Students have been petrified all around Hogwarts.. And the headmaster is at risk of being sent to Azkaban.. Oh L/N, what could be worse?"
Y/Ns pitch-black pupils focused ferociously. "You don't say.. The headmaster is near expulsion? Because of the attacks, i assume, miss?"
"I'm afraid so.. Oh, don't worry, L/N, do enjoy your term here. Don't worry about these things; they're for adults.", the old professor waved her hands and advised Y/N, though the girl nodded in response. "No ma'am, i do not worry about many things, often times. Even if i should.. Does that sound concerning?", she chirped an octave higher, making McGonagall smile weakly.
"Quite so, my dear."
━━━━━━。゜✿ฺ✿ฺ゜。━━━━━━
A few days had passed since the curious encounter with McGonagall, and a few more times had passed where Y/N handed out snarky comments to Ron.
The girl was studying in the library peacefully, when she couldn't help but overhear Hermione, Harry and Ronald talk about Polyjuice potion. Polyjuice potion? What are they doing with that? They were barely in their second year, what did they need that for? 𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑖𝑠 𝑔𝑒𝑡𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑑𝑜𝑑𝑔𝑦, thought Y/N.
Of course, the trio wasn't famous for their ability to just settle down for once.
"I've never seen a more complicated potion.... This'll take a month to brew.", Hermione commented worriedly. Harry raised a brow. "A month? But who knows what'll happen in a month? We don't have time!", he exclaimed.
Ron kept munching on some chocolate frogs while listening to the two reason, the boy was a glutton to the core..
Little did they know, Y/N was observing and listening to their every movement. But oh, she wouldn't rat them out. She was smarter than that, was she?
✧ ▬▭▬ ▬▭▬ ✦✧✦ ▬▭▬ ▬▭▬ ✧
L/N didn't really have the will to go to the girls bathroom to examine the noise coming from it. No one was there, day or night, and for good reason. Moaning Myrtle was the annoying ghost who haunted the girls lavatory, determining a very uncomfortable experience for whoever in Merlin's name went there.
𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒚'𝒓𝒆 𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈. The girl thought as she cupped her hands around the corridors walls, listening to the three children talk. Yes, that's it. There was the noise of a simmering cauldron, and bulky ingredients being dropped in it. But whatever, Y/N thought. It's not her business, and she'd rather stroll through Knockturn Alley than meddle into risky situations with the golden trio.
She rubbed her temples as she descended down the stairs to the dungeons, alleviating her incoming headache as she strode to the Potions classroom for an extra study session.
Seeing her favourite professor, was her favourite activity to do in her spare time, obviously enough. She didn't knock on the door before entering. There was Snape, Draco, and Crabbe in the otherwise empty classroom, who were talking while writing. Professor Snape seemed quite agitated with the three children interrupting his potion-brewing and assignment-grading. (The last part he was doing against his own free will)
Y/N held her Potions for Beginners book clutched in her hand as she approached a desk in the front row, in front of Snape's desk. Perfect. She sat down and snapped her book open on page 70. Y/N didn't even know why, as she was using her quill and ink, she even 𝑙𝑖𝑘𝑒𝑑 professor Snape in the first place. Sure, he was her head of house and all.. But why?
He was bitter, resentful and unnaproachable at all times, and incredibly biased. Everyone hated him, aside from a handful of Slytherins and Minerva, maybe even Albus. But why did she like him? Was he like her father? No, not at all.. Like her mother? Yes, maybe.. But not entirely.. Y/N didn't notice her eyes were drifting away from the parchment, and her fingers were loosening around the handle of the quill, as she wasn't focused on studying at the moment.
"Feeling rather 𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑒𝑑, Miss L/N?', Snapes silky voice interrupted her thoughts and daydreams. "Huh? Oh, excuse me. I was.. Distracted, yes.." Y/N shook her head and kept writing her notes down. Snape curled his lip in an almost.. Amused? Manner, and kept on grading his assignments while keeping an eye on Y/N.She finished her notes rather quickly, and gathered her things. But one thing did catch her eye. Draco seemed drastically happier, acting like his usual arrogant self.
"One minute, you're brooding and depressed. The other, you're beaming with arrogance and joy?", Y/N approached the silvery-haired second year. "What's it to you? I'm not an animal for you to check on, L/N." Draco spat unpleasantly, and Y/N grimaced.
"That's unfortunate, really. I'd be delighted to see you gnaw at the bars of your enclosure.", Y/N retorted, making Snape almost smirk, but he quickly turned around and hid it.
⑅୨୧⑅*⑅୨୧⑅*⑅୨୧⑅*⑅୨୧⑅*⑅୨୧⑅*⑅୨୧⑅*
Another month passed, and Y/N was sitting in the common room, near the fireplace. Draco had gone to look for Crabbe and Goyle, while she was acting like a vampire in the shadows. No one noticed her, no one spoke with her. Just the way she liked it.
Draco returned a quarter hour later, with his two lakis. The cocky little boy sat down, and the three of them started talking. Malfoy kept ranting about Harry and bad-mouthed him, causing Y/N to get an insatiable itch to roll her eyes.
Though she swore to herself she wouldn't go through the effort of listening to those babboons, her ears perked up when se heard Goyle mention the Chamber of Secrets.
"I already told you, i don't know who it is. But I'd be delighted to help them." Malfoy grinned smugly, and Crabbe dug his fingernails into his palms. "What's up with you two?", the blonde boy knit his eyebrows together. "Stomachache.", Goyle insisted and Malfoy turned his head away.
What a fool..
Everyone knew that clenching your fists that way was no symptom of a stomachache. Even Draco wasn't that thick. Malfoy kept ranting about Potter and Granger for what seemed like an eternity, as Crabbe and Malfoy grabbed their faces and suddenly ran away. "Hey, where are you two going?" , exclaimed Malfoy. He sighed and turned to Y/N.
"Odd bunch, those two.", grumbled Malfoy and Y/N grinned. Sardonically, of course. "Idiot, aren't you?" "I 𝑏𝑒𝑔 your pardon?" Malfoy scoffed and held his chest like a girl. "You know that wasn't Crabbe and Goyle. I thought you wouldn't be so thick, but here we are. You're an idiot.", she explained curtly and factually.
And Y/N was right.
The effects of polyjuice potion wore off as she cupped her hands around the corridor wall, eavesdropping on the trio. Hermione was in a bathroom stall, telling Ron and Harry they were hideous while Moaning Myrtle taunted her.
"My father will hear about this!" Draco spat and reached for the door handle to barge in on the three, but as he did, Y/N restrained him by the waist and spoke lowly.
"No he won't."
Draco flushed.
⁀↘‿↗⁀↘‿↗⁀↘‿↗⁀↘‿↗⁀↘‿↗⁀↘‿↗
Autumn swept over Hogwarts like a breeze of wind, the grass turning dull and the weather gray, the leaves' vibrant green colors faded a lucious orange and brown.
Students wore their long coats more often and started adorning their outfits with shawls, gloves and boots.
Y/N was sporting a proud green-and-gray shawl over her pale neck and black, wool gloves. Strolling around the marvelous castle was another one of her peculiar hobbies. Whether to flaunt her outfit (yes, show off) , help people around the castle, or just enjoy the ancient corridors of Hogwarts and the beautiful nature surrounding it, reasons may vary.
Comfortable, black tights and green leg warmers were wrapped around her ankles and legs, as she walked and wandered around the courtyard and corridors. She had a gray beret on, purely for flaunting reasons, and a thin, elegant silver chain hung around the collar of her Slytherin robes.
Y/N wondered about her favourite professor, Professor Snape. She wondered if she could ever behave more loosely around him.. Like an acquaintance-like relationship.
Maybe that's why she approved of him, Y/N thought. Because of his vast intellect, and mystery? He was an Enigma, after all. She was somewhat like him. Or was he somewhat like her? Both were mysterious, quiet, and mature. Severus didn't speak unless spoken to, mostly, and Y/N appreciated it immensely. Why would people start a conversation, when they clearly don't know how? It confused her. But regardless, Y/N was quite fond of her Potions Master. Could he say the same? No one will ever know. Ron was also, another person on her mind.
That boy was, truthfully, the epitome of stupidity and immaturity. You're twelve, come on, not 8! Not to mention he followed the herd, always. Saying all Slytherins were bad, and that all they are are sneaky, arrogant blood-supremacists.. Disrespecting her house like that..
What a 𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑔𝑟𝑎𝑐𝑒, she thought and clutched her book under her arm. When suddenly, she feld a hard bump on her shoulder. "Professor Snape!", Y/N uttered and quickly picked her book up, giving a short bow. "Terribly sorry, truthfully. I didn't see-"
"Quite alright, Miss L/N.", Snape stated and walked forward nonchalantly. Y/N was burning in embarassment because of her bumping into her favourite grumpy professor, not that it would be a common occurence.
❖ ── ✦ ──『✙』── ✦ ── ❖
The rest of the term passed rather smoothly for her, though not for the trio. As it so seems, Harry and Ron found the chamber of secrets with the help of Hermione and Moaning Myrtle, and had dragged Lockhart along, who said that he knew all along where the entrance was. What a fool.. But there were no more worries, at least not now. Harry defeated a basilisk, banished the diary of Thomas Riddle himself.. The boy should take a break every now and then, Merlin's sake.
Y/N didn't feel like eating at the end-of-year banquet, she was too busy observing the enchanted ceiling, which was bewitched to look like the night sky. Though it was over as quickly as it started, the term closed off as Y/N hurried with her luggage to the train station, getting on the Hogwarts Express in an empty compartment.

So as several of you know, we recently got into Hogwarts Legacy and if you know us at all you know we obviously had to make OCs for it. And so, I give to you the twins, Melpomeni and Rowan Asimi (Meli and Row for short).
The children of a Greek Muggle immigrant to Ireland, and an Irish half-giant witch, they’re both considerably taller than their classmates; they’re about 7′6″ at the start of the game, but cap out between 8′-9′ as adults. Their giant blood also affords them some additional resistance to certain magic, as well as a bit greater strength and resilience than average.
Meli was assumed to be a Squib until she got her acceptance letter the Summer before year 5; came as quite a shock to her and her family. She believes that there is no such thing as ‘Dark’ magic; that no magic is inherently evil or inherently good, what matters is how it’s used. She gets on well with Sebastian in this regard, and has disagreements with Ominis about it, as he draws a hard line against all magic that’s been classified as Dark. However, she is ultimately closer to the latter given that she agrees with him that Sebastian is on a slippery slope and needs to be pulled back before he destroys himself or anyone else. She got that scar on her face from the dragon incident with Poppy.
Rowan was accepted to Hogwarts normally, and sorted into Slytherin. He and Sebastian got on like a house on fire, and so quickly made friends with Anne and Ominis as well. Caring for Anne as a friend and knowing how he would feel if Meli was in her place, he has differing views than the others about the path Sebastian is going down and how risky it really is (this is also partially due to the fact that he fancies Seb, though Row is not yet entirely aware of that fact). He’s a skilled duellist; he and Sebastian are nearly always partners and remain among Crossed Wands’ top ranks. Meli quickly joins them, though, and this combined with her powers of ancient magic, and how quickly she becomes Sebastian’s ‘new best friend’ fosters some resentment on his part (try as he does to remember that there very much are people trying to kill her due to her ancient magic and that her prowess for duelling was borne out of necessity and forced practice).

In the Aftermath / Hermione x Antonin Dolohov (Chapter 1)
Summary: In response to the low post-war population, the Dark Lord proposed a solution. The half-blood and blood-traitor women were to be given to the male members of a pureblood house. These women would be chosen by Death Eaters to carry on their family names and blood (for if the Dark Lord gave his blessings for the mixing of blood, who were they to argue?). The muggle-born women were to be left for those of lower prestige and lower rank. Or, more accurately, as willing (unwilling) toys for the most odious of Death Eaters.

Next Chapter
AN: Hello All! This is a major rewrite/edit/revamping of a story (Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow) originally posted on fanfiction.net when I was still in high school. I will leave the old story up there but will be making major changes to the plot and character development in order to better flesh out the story and characters. I hope you all are ready for the ride because this story will be taking a different direction than the original!
Also, very excited to writing Hermione x Antonin once more
Most fugitive muggle-born, half-blood, and blood-traitors had been picked down one by one. In the beginning, after the battle had been lost, they scattered like roaches. There was no true leadership left in the resistance movement and so it was easy enough to find various safe houses. They stupidly hid in hordes, clinging together. Occasionally, one or two would fight, however the others would look on with hopelessness shimmering in their eyes. However, as time passed, it grew harder to find the fugitives, and so the bounties placed upon them were astronomical.
Not every fugitive was returned to Azkaban. Most of the males were killed simply because they brought more trouble than they were worth. The Weasley family, for example, was almost completely terminated except for three of the children.
Life continued.
It was hard to remember anything before the slaughter. There was killing, raping, torture at every turn. Muggle-born, half-blood, and blood traitors lost all status in the newly built society and faced this societally accepted oppression.
This new reshuffling of society and catastrophic lost of life after the war led to an unprecedented maelstrom of problems: low population from casualties, low fertility among pureblood witches, and a lack of “suitable” partners to conceive children with.
There were whisperings of course, throughout the ranks. Rumors began to spread, and suddenly, the idea of complete pureblood supremacy began to seem impossible.
The whispers remained only that until the scandal of the year broke the headlines: Rodolphus Lestrange had impregnated a muggle woman. This news led to great uncertainty throughout the Death Eater and Pureblood ranks. Would they have to resort to Muggle women to carry their heirs?
The Dark Lord proposed a solution. The half-blood and blood-traitor women were to be given to the male members of a pureblood house. These women would be chosen by Death Eaters to carry on their family names and blood (for if the Dark Lord gave his blessings for the mixing of blood, who were they to argue?) The muggle-born women were to be left for those of lower prestige and lower rank.
Or, more accurately, as willing (unwilling) toys for the most odious of Death Eaters.
April 5, 1999
Antonin Dolohov held an indescribable amount of disgust for the decree declared by the Dark Lord. Of course, he never told this information to his fellow Death Eaters except for a select few trustworthy as even the thought of it would be treason. His acquaintances, if he could even call them such, had lined up at the opportunity to be in possession of their own play toy.
Even Rabastan Lestrange, a man he had come to trust in a short amount of time, seemed to find little problem with the law. After the scandal with Rodolphus, Rabastan seemed to mature overnight. Despite the inevitable wear that sprung from years in Azkaban, Rabastan had still managed to retain a youthful, somewhat cruel spirit. Now, however, the lines in his face had deepened and his eyes had grown weary.
There were many nights that Antonin and Rabastan spent in the Lestrange parlor with a glass of Fire Whiskey and a bitter tongue.
The war had ended with the death of the Potter boy. Once the battle was over, and the spoils of war taken, it did not take long to realize that there was no grand plan of “after”. No one said anything, of course. It would be treason to voice such thoughts aloud. Yet, Antonin found himself somewhat lost (as many others on their side had) as he looked towards the future. What future were they rebuilding?
It was after one of those nights of deep intoxication that Antonin found himself waiting with Rabastan at the Ministry, as lines of women entered the room one by one. The smell of rot and piss carried by the group was only barely concealed by the artificial scent of flowers.
As he and Rabastan looked upon the row of women (girls, really. All of age, but most were only a few months out of Hogwarts) with hollow cheeks and sickly skin, Antonin could not identify who he hated more: Rabastan who convinced him to come, or himself, who agreed.
The girls, though they were imprisoned in Azkaban, were always presented in a special room deep within the Ministry. Initially, the “choosing” room was a damp room in Azkaban, however there was little turn out from the Death Eater population. Few were willing to return to a place where they spent many maddening years.
The girls wore the dirty, striped rags of Azkaban prison. Some had bruised faces. Others still had the tears of dried blood stuck in place that told of past punishments. They were connected by glowing shackles on their wrists that emitted a power surge of energy.
A few of the girls cried silently, while others held no emotion on their faces. They knew what it meant to be chosen by a Death Eater. It was a coin toss as to whether they would be treated kindly or tortured brutally upon arrival. One of the girls chosen prior had committed suicide a few weeks after being selected by one of the more depraved of the bunch. Since then, curses had been placed upon the girls to ensure that any suicidal thoughts or actions were snuffed out quickly.
It was abhorrent.
Alecto Carrow seemed to take pleasure in her position as warden to the new women’s ward in Azkaban. Her cruel eyes and yellow sneer in the direction of the girls was disconcerting. Upon further examination, Antonin spotted a large, blunt ring on one of her fingers that seemed the exact size as some of the bruises that marred the girls’ skin.
Rabastan looked over the girls, the excitement worn away as he took in the appalling sight. Antonin chose to stare at the floor.
They weren’t alone, as a handful of other Death Eater’s had taken interest in the girls as well. Some more than others. There were specific “choosing days” once a month in which interested individuals could come choose (or replace) their chosen mate (or toy).
Walden Macnair looked utterly thrilled at the prospect of picking out a new toy. There were rumors that he had already broken the first one. Young Theodore Nott, followed by his father, was a sick shade of green. It was highly likely he had attended school with most of the girls before him.
“Finally convinced to pick one out, Dolohov?” Macnair sneered. Antonin, the large man that he was, stared down at Macnair.
“Not today,” He stated, his tone stolid.
Macnair scoffed and walked over towards one of the girls, her gaze focused firmly on the floor. He grabbed a handful of her dull, black hair and pulled her head back, revealing her face. She could have been attractive in her past life. However, it was difficult to tell from the scars on her face.
“What’s your name, bitch,” Macnair growled. The girl glanced around, searching for anywhere else to stare besides Macnair’s sweaty face. Her dead eyes met Theodore Nott, who held his hand over his mouth, likely to keep anything unsavory from coming back up. They looked about the same age.
Cold eyes still on Theodore, the girl answered in a raspy voice. “Cho.”
Macnair smirked, releasing Cho from the grip he held. He glanced over at Alecto. “This one. I want this one.”
Alecto gave a shark’s smile. “Maybe you won’t break this one.”
A flash of fear passed over Cho’s features as Alecto removed the restraints placed upon her. The girl would have a better chance at life in Azkaban.
Macnair left with Cho in tow. Antonin could not feel worse for the girl. Theodore Nott and his father left as well, likely because Theodore could no longer hold the contents of his stomach.
Throughout the exchange, Rabastan had kept his eyes locked on a girl that Antonin could only describe as wispy. She had white, blond hair that was matted around her head. Her lip was split and her nose somewhat crooked as though it had been broken. Antonin watched as his friend took a step towards the willowy girl.
“The nargles seem to have found a hive in you” She said, her voice soft and distant. The trance she held Rabastan in was broken by the barking of Alecto for the girl to “only speak when spoken to”. Rabastan glared at the squat woman.
“Please remove her restraints,” He said.
“You don’t want that one. She’s barmy,” Alecto jeered.
“Remove her restraints,” He growled, the statement no longer a request but a demand. Alecto huffed but did as she was told, though she pulled on the wispy girl more than necessary. The girl smiled at Alecto as the last of the restraint was removed.
Alecto looked as though she wanted to murder the girl right where she stood, however one glare from Rabastan led Alecto to stand down.
The trio left the cold, “choosing” room and walked towards the office where Rabastan would sign papers official making the odd girl his. It reminded Antonin of purchasing an owl.
At least an owl could defend itself from its owner.
The girl, whose name they learned was Luna, turned out to be pleasant even as everyone around her decided her fate. Rabastan was utterly captivated by her presence, causing him to write down most of the information in his paperwork incorrectly. Dolores Umbridge, or the Toad, as most Death Eaters dubbed her, grew very impatient with his mistakes, though refused to say anything in fear of the Lestrange name.
The Toad eyed Luna up with a curled lip, and Luna did just the same. The blatant loathing was not lost on anyone save for Rabastan. Once the paperwork was done, Antonin was all too ready to leave the tense air that had built.
“Umbridge!” A voice shouted, accompanied by the sudden opening of the office door. In the doorway stood Amycus Carrow with a meek girl in tow. He threw her to the floor at Antonin’s feet.
A magical signature, his signature, seemed to tease him as he took in the girl at his feet. Her very being seemed to call to him in the same way his wand would. Another extension of his hand. He could feel the magic reach for him as it seemed to bleed from the girl, tendrils of energy pawing at the legs of his trousers.
“What is the meaning of this Amycus?” The Toad shrieked in her shrill voice. Amycus sneered, and glanced down at the tiny girl with a rat’s nest for hair.
“She’s already been claimed, Dolores! She has the fucking stench of another wizard’s magical signature all over her!” He raged, spitting ruefully on the girl. The Toad gave out a ‘tut’. Amycus shoved his way to Umbridge’s desk, stepping on the girl in the process. The cat pictures that covered the office wall meowed in unison.
While Umbridge and Carrow argued back and forth, Antonin and Rabastan made no move to stop Luna as she made her way over to the girl and crouched down. She moved the girl’s hair so that her right cheek was visible. Luna softly touched the girl’s cheek, wiping the spit away.
“Hermione,” She whispered. The arguing stopped as the room became focused on the two girls.
“I will have you know, Amycus, that Hermione Granger has not already been claimed. I saw to that myself!” Umbridge huffed indignantly.
Antonin could not keep his eyes off Hermione Granger. He’d had encounters with her during and after the war, however the most vivid he could recall the was Battle of the Department of Mysteries. She’d silenced him, taking him by surprise. In response, he hit her with a curse of his own design. Her internal organs should have contracted into themselves, crushing her internally.
She should have been dead.
He wasn’t ashamed to admit that he still thought of her occasionally, wondering if his curse had left any lingering effects. It wasn’t everyday someone survived one of his curses. Was this why he could feel his magic bubbling beneath her skin?
“Check then. I tried to bond her to me, and the bond was rejected completely.”
Umbridge scoffed and moved from around her desk, taking her wand out and pointing it at Hermione. She whispered an incantation. The Toad frowned as a glowing line began to form from Hermione’s breastbone to hip.
“How is this possible?” She whispered in bewilderment. She looked at Antonin, suspicion in her eyes. “It’s your magical signature.”
“What the fuck Dolohov,” Amycus growled, pulling his wand from his pocket. Antonin returned the gesture, his eyes glinting dangerously.
“I wouldn’t, Carrow,” Antonin stated, his voice low. Amycus Carrow might have been a brute, but even he had enough sense to realize there was no logic in engaging in a fight he wouldn’t win.
“Remove your magic, Dolohov. She’s a mudblood. My mudblood.” Amycus stated. Through the exchange, Luna had helped bring Hermione to her feet and the two stood in the background, watching the exchange of Hermione’s fate.
“I don’t believe so, Carrow. In fact, it sounds as though she’s mine.” Antonin smirked, eliciting a growl from Carrow. Carrow was quick, but Antonin was quicker, especially with Rabastan behind him, wand drawn.
Wand still trained on Amycus, Antonin backed away until he had reached Hermione, putting a soft grip upon her elbow. The touch alone was electrifying as his magical signature within her was reunited with its master. He felt his blood begin to sing and the hair on his arm stand on end. “I’ll be taking her with me.”
“Mr. Dolohov, there are still piles of paper work to be completed,” The Toad shrieked. Antonin put a steady arm around Hermione and began to guide her from the office.
Antonin gave no response, instead choosing to continue his impromptu adventure. He pulled Hermione further until she simply gave out and fell to her knees. Her breathing was shallow, and her body trembled as she fell. Antonin grabbed her and pulled her into his arms, taking her to her salvation.
Watching the scene, Rabastan grabbed Luna’s hand to leave. Unable to help himself, he turned back towards Umbridge and winked, booming laughter emitting from his lips.

Backstory
Silas grew up in a small, foresty wizarding town near Castle Combe. His childhood was happy and relatively uneventful until the end of his third year at Hogwarts, the summer break to be exact. A few months prior his sister had found herself in the midst of a werewolf attack, unfortunately, ending with her being bitten. Scared of the wizarding communities reaction, his parents tried their hardest to keep this new circumstance a secret, even from their son. Though, during a stormy night, when Silas heard a loud thud echoing through the house, he decided to investigate a little further. Ignoring his parent's warnings, not to go to his sister's room, he broke through the locked door, and, to his surprise, found a fully transformed werewolf, just itching to escape. That night he had suffered the same fate as his sister and would continue to suffer it every full moon.

Family
Father: Lyall Ashford - Lyall is, generally, very loving, soft-spoken and relaxed. To this day he still has no clue how to deal with his werewolf kids and would rather keep it a well-kept family secret ... more so because of his wife rather than believing it to be a ‘bad’ thing himself. He only has everyone's best interest in mind and has spent more than a couple nights, hitting the books in search of a cure yet to no avail. Lyall is a Hit Wizard and therefore a member of the Magical Law Enforcement Squad (he might be a higher-ranking officer, idk. How is the squad organised? XD). Silas and he share their love for tinkering and often spend hours in his workshop behind their house.
Fc: Isaiah Mustafa
Mother: Miranda 'Mira' Ashford née Greengrass - Miranda is a very well-read and determined witch. Starting as a member of the Invisibility Task Force (she used to be a magical architect, specialising in hidden infrastructure), she quickly climbed up the ladder at the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes and now finds herself second to the Head of the Department, leading the Task Force. As she had a little falling out with her pureblood family for marrying below her status, she tries to keep further disappointment to a minimum. With lycanthropy still being believed to tarnish a wizard's reputation, she does everything in her power to keep the tea about her children from spilling and, of course, keep her kids safe from the Werewolf Capture Division.
Fc: Dakota Johnson (as of now, might change)
Little Sister: Eira Ashford (born in 2009) - Eira is a brisk yet quiet girl. Unlike her older brother she embraces her inner wolf, thinking it to be cool after reading, maybe a bit too much, muggle werewolf fiction. Though, she still feels guilty for turning her brother. Her biggest wish is to become a badass Auror. She spends day and night practising Defence Against the Dark Arts.
Fc: Ella Balinska (might also change)
Magic
House: Ravenclaw
Best Class: Charms, Transfiguration
Worst Class: Divination
Quidditch: -
Clubs: -
Wand: Ash Wood, Phoenix Feather Core, 13 1/2” Length, Rigid Flexibility
➔ The ash wand cleaves to its one true master and ought not to be passed on or gifted from the original owner, because it will lose power and skill. This tendency is extreme if the core is of unicorn. Old superstitions regarding wands rarely bear close examination, but I find that the old rhyme regarding rowan, chestnut, ash and hazel wands (rowan gossips, chestnut drones, ash is stubborn, hazel moans) contains a small nugget of truth. Those witches and wizards best suited to ash wands are not, in my experience, lightly swayed from their beliefs or purposes. However, the brash or over-confident witch or wizard, who often insists on trying wands of this prestigious wood, will be disappointed by its effects. The ideal owner may be stubborn, and will certainly be courageous, but never crass or arrogant.
Animagus: Werewolf?
Boggart: a torn-up, bloody corpse (hurting someone whilst being a werewolf)
Riddikulus: corpse turns into a dancing sour patch kid
Patronus: White Wolf
Patronus Memory: tinkering with his dad in his little shed behind the house
Amortentia (what he smells like): evergreen forests, metal, new books, maple syrup, a hint of leather
Amortentia (what he smells): tbd
Magical Abilities: -
Career
11–17: Student at Hogwarts 18–24: Studies Engineering at a Muggle University 24-?: Artificer (Magical Engineer; Magical Artefacts Maker/Conservator)
Personality & Attitude
Personality: Although, generally, a very understated guy, Silas often finds himself in trouble but more so because of his own overbearing curiosity rather than for the sake of mischief. He likes to ponder ideas and come up with new things and gadgets and is known for his witty comebacks and remarks, that more than once, have caused him a round of detention. Even with a loose tongue like his, he is very loyal and would drop everything to lend a hand whenever a friend or family member (or basically anyone) is going through a hard time or is in need of help. For an introvert, he's oddly social.
Moderator: ‘Why don’t we go 'round introducing ourselves?’
Silas: ‘Hi, my name is Silas, spelled as it's spoken. *chuckles* I’m just kidding, guys. Anyway, I’m a tinkerer. And a fun fact about myself is that I love anything mysterious.’
Strengths: supportive, courageous, curious, quick-witted, funny, efficient, hardworking, loyal, thoughtful
Weaknesses: stubborn, perfectionist, overly humble
Stressors: full moons, keeping his secret, his own too-high standards
Comfort: reading, tinkering/crafting, forests, quiet, the chirping of birds, yoga/meditation
Priorities: keeping his secret, being helpful
Favourites
Colours: doesn't have one
Food: berries (preferably, freshly picked from the forest), Mexican food, sour patch kids
Drink: coffee (just keeps him going)
Flowers: Elderflower
Music: basically anything; likes to listen to low-fi music while studying (helps him concentrate)
Books: anything involving magical myths or craftsmanship
Weather: rainy days
Hobbies: tinkering/crafting, reading, yoga/meditation, sketching, discussing new ideas, mystical creatures
Style: laidback, neutral/cool forest-y colour palette
Relationships
Significant Other/Best friend: Oscar 'Brandy' Crouch, future Ashford @potionboy3 - Brandy and Silas have been best friends and roommates since day one of Hogwarts—that is until he gets bitten in his third year. To keep his hairy little secret, Silas is removed from the dorm and gets his own room. He decides it to be best to keep it from Brandy, scared of his reaction. Without them even realizing things start to take a romantic turn which frightens Silas and prompts him to withdraw from Brandy, leaving him wondering for quite a bit. Brandy, in the end, does discover that his best friend is a werewolf and, frankly, doesn't mind at all. Thus, the two become a couple after an eventful full moon.
Friends: tbd
Open for friendship requests :)

— she is best described as ;
The scent of ELEGANT PERFUME as it lingers down a STERILE HALL. She is the MILLION DOLLAR SMILE that BREAKS HEARTS and the BRAVERY to face ADVERSARY & LEAP into the UNKNOWN. HEADSTRONG enough to face life other than how it was intended for her, a lone GILDED BOAT on UNEASY OPEN WATERS.
— her story starts with ;
tw: death, tw: blood
Every first born will say the same thing. Expectation sits squarely on your shoulders. Born the future head of the Davis family, Cordelia Davis was to all who knew her, the perfect pure-blood daughter. The Davis family were an old pure-blood wizarding family from Kerry in Ireland who came over in the 1920s to set up Moribund’s an exclusive members only club, with a strict wealthy, pure-blood and anti-blood traitor policy. Interwoven with the usual lessons taught to children like Cordelia, were things like how to manage a business and extensive background on the wizarding families in Britain, including who were paying members of Moribund’s and which of their children would be in her academic year. Groomed to one day take over Moribund’s, Cordelia never had a moment to consider if she might want to choose another life other than the one that was being set out for her. Her siblings were not subject to the same level of conditioning as Cordelia, though her younger brother AJAX DAVIS [brother] was forced to sit in on some of her lessons.
Their family had clear idas. Cordelia would run the business and her brother to marry into The Twenty-Eight and further strengthen the Davis line. Her youngest sibling ROSALINE DAVIS [sister] was their loose cannon, too difficult for her parents to wrangle when there was no need to do so. The Davis family weren’t in the Sacred Twenty-Eight, but Moribund’s made them just as good as. Sorted into Slytherin, she was fortunate enough to be in the same year group and house as LUCIUS MALFOY [former close friend], DECIUS FLINT [former partner/former close friend], EVAN ROSIER [former close friend] and ALFHILD ROWLE [former close friend] who were all paying pure-blood members of Moribund’s. Cordelia was a good fit for their group of friends, as was EMMA VANITY [former best friend] and INES MORENO [former best friend], whose families also paid their hefty club fees. Cordelia quickly rose in ranks at school, she looked exquisite in a ballgown and could take your money at poker.
She didn’t have any friends who were even half-bloods, let alone muggle-borns and believed wholeheartedly that she was born into a position of power because as a result of good breeding. It was this way of thinking that landed her on the arm of Decius Flint. A very respectable member of the Twenty-Eight. Cordelia doted on him and loved him with all her heart and soul. It wasn’t just his title or family line that she was interested in, Decius longed to give her exactly what she wanted, a happy life filled with marriage and children who would one day inherit Moribund’s. Graduating a slug club member, a prefect, head girl and with a boyfriend most parents longed to secure for their own child, Cordelia was the envy of every debutant the year she came out. She sparkled amongst them and smirked privately as she read her name in the scandal sheets and considered how far she’d managed to advance her family reputation even in such a short while. Had the killings not began in London, Cordelia might have achieved the gilded life she’d always dreamed of.
The day BOOKER BAGNOLD [person of interest] fell to his death in the fountain, she was only a few feet away. But that wasn’t the end of it. Although Cordelia wanted to assume the role as wife and mother in her later years, her younger years would be spent with a hands-on approach at Moribund’s, training the ideal staff and knowing the business inside and out before she let it run itself. Missing persons posters plastered the alleyway, with bodies found not too far from the club. The world had begun to make Cordelia feel nervous. Knowing this, Ines traded in her late night favourite spot at The Grave Affair to drink with Cordelia and keep her company. She loved her for it and although they had often sparred for popularity points in the past, in adulthood Ines was her very best friend. Her loss was of great pain to Cordelia. Just outside the club, Cordelia tried to stop the bleeding, holding on to Ines’ neck which now had giant claw marks running down it. Ines died in her arms that night and Cordelia’s life changed.
Once a sociable witch, Cordelia became a prisoner inside the Flint family home. Her relationship with Decius came to an end when he told her he’d been sleeping with ANASTASIA SIMINOVA [adversary], blaming her disinterest in him and her lack of understanding for the reason. Home in her childhood bed, Cordelia considered how meaningless it all was. She’d spent her entire life working towards something that would never happen. Her relationship or her best friend couldn’t be saved and something had taken it from her. Cordelia’s decision to break with her family was not instantaneous, in fact the final straw came over dinner when Cordelia let her thoughts on blood purity be known. Though it was something she had once held in the highest regard, it was clear to her how little it mattered. It hadn’t spared Ines’ life and Decius had willingly left her for a half-blood. The world had changed and things like certain people liking you, or having pretty babies with someone who could leave you in an instant or you were expected to ignore their wandering eye, did not seem like a valuable way to spend her life.
Her statements shocked her parents but Cordelia no longer cared. She wasn’t devoting her life to an institution she didn’t believe in and her parents had two more children anyhow. Taking her inheritance, she answered a spare room ad in The Daily Prophet and moved in with follow healers SAMUEL WAINSCOTT [close friend/housemate] and POPPY POMFREY [close friend/housemate] and Poppy’s younger sister PRIMROSE POMFREY [close friend/housemate]. Everyone from her old life wasn’t interested in associating with her anymore except for her brother and sister, although that was also away from prying eyes due to the reputation of Moribund’s. Cordelia’s life was different but she was happy. For once in her life she had a purpose she’d chosen for herself and that was to try and save victims in a silent war she already knew was being fought. Cordelia was drawn to the Dangerous' Dai Llewellyn Ward, tending after multiple bite and scratch victims all at the hands of a wolf. Times have grown darker and Cordelia is sure that the creatures are in some way playing a part. Although her friends think she’s crazy, Cordelia is sure she’s on to something and will stop at nothing to prove she’s right.
— she is a LEVEL 7 WITCH & readied for war ;

Lily and Remus would perhaps be best equipped to understand how dangerous Regulus might be, Remus for the reasons you mentioned and Lily because she gets having a toxic relationship with your sibling, she knows loving your sibling does not automatically mean that the relationship is good and healthy (she even knows that one sibling loving the other doesn’t mean it’s reciprocated). Part of the sourness from Petunia was that Lily had this special gift but Petunia didn’t, and there’s no guarantee Regulus wouldn’t resent Sirius for being the heir while Regulus is the spare by crime of birth; of course, Lily does not have the necessary background on the House of Black to truly understand what Regulus might be capable of, she might heard some rumors and maybe a couple offhand mentions from Sirius, but she has no idea the full scope of the family’s unhinged-ness, and there’s nobody who can tell her. The Marauders have no true interaction with the Blacks outside of Sirius and perhaps view Sirius in a better light than he truly should be seen in; I doubt James’s parents would tell James the more horrifying rumors about the Blacks when his best friend is a Black, and Peter and Remus are both half-bloods, it’s doubtful their magical parents had the necessary exposure to the Blacks’ circle to learn what might be going on with the family currently. Anyone at the school that’s actually close to the Blacks, who know what the family is like and how that impacts how Regulus will interact and view Sirius’s friends (who Regulus blames for Sirius being a blood-traitor/on the path of being considered one [can one be viewed as a blood-traitor and then come back?]), aren’t people that Lily can speak to, since they share Regulus’s blood supremacy views. She can hardly swan up to Evan Rosier/Rabastan Lestrange/whoever and say, “Hey, wanna tell me all the nitty-gritty details of the Black family? I’m concerned about what Regulus will do”
Oo, yes, Lily is uniquely positioned to have an accurate read on Regulus (and she's going to be integral to this narrative). I love the Lily-Petunia Sirius-Regulus parallels so much, honestly (it's part of what really drew me into Regulily). There's the jealousy aspect, the fact that Lily was the special one for her magic and Sirius special for being the heir, and then there's also the sense of loss. Lily leaves Petunia for a boarding school that Petunia is not allowed to go to. Petunia wants to go with Lily and isn't accepted. I think at that point her bitterness was as much about feeling abandoned by Lily as it was about feeling jealous. And Sirius, too, goes where Regulus cannot follow: to the Potters (to be fair, Regulus didn't try to go with Sirius like Petunia did, but for his own reasons he cannot follow).
I also think that Lily's connection with Snape would give her some insight into the Black family. Of course, Snape has a negative bias against the Blacks (because of Sirius and, I imagine, because they're the type to pull rank and I'm sure that rankles). That combined with the fact that Lily is muggle-born and can't afford to play games with the future Death Eaters of Britain means that she's probably the most cautious of the lot of them around Regulus. Still vulnerable, in her own way, but she understand the potential danger that Regulus poses.
But *sigh* James really should know better. Out of all of them, he really should know what he's dipping his toes into when he gets involved with Regulus. He is the pureblood from an old wizarding family, he has the most exposure to that world and what it looks like, but his worldview is so narrow that it leaves him vulnerable.
