so i replayed dmc 2 (crazy, i know) for dantelucia content, and playing on lucia's side of the story is so crazy bc it's literally what dante has been going through throughout his whole life

when lucia found out she was a demon and that she could lose herself to that side of her it scares her to the point of wanting to die/to be killed, going as far as to tell dante and arius to kill her bc she doesnt want to hurt others which can be reflected with dante's own views of his demon heritage which is something he feels he couldnt control if he ever taps into it so he does rlly reckless things to cope with it

dante even secludes himself from people and forming relationships outside of trish and lady bc of the fear of hurting them. even with dante's very reckless behavior it can be seen as him self harming which says a lot about his mental health plus the fact that in dmc 2 hes carrying the weight of grief which makes it even worse as seen with him going to hell not even caring on how to get out of it

like both of these characters became reckless ppl when they find out that they have demonic powers and the fact they both cling to the their love for people/family says a lot about their characters

but heres the thing....what makes these two so good to see is the fact that dante comforted lucia and even validated her human idenity by telling her that "devils never cry" and i feel like this line truly stuck with dante bc of what Lady said to him when he cried (basically devils dont cry and u arent rlly a devil if u cried over a love one), its just 3 simple word and yet it holds so much meaning for dante and probably for lucia too which she probably needed at that moment showing how emotionally smart dante is...

dante and lucia's views on their demon heritage is such a good way for them to have a long talk with one another about their feelings and thoughts of being demons and how to control the urge and how protecting people is what makes them human but also feel like its their responsibility bc of their demon heritage....like i need capcom to write more of their relationship or maybe someone just writes it in a fanfic bc their dynamic has so much potential the parallels...the love they have.....it makes me go insane

i remember when alhaitham first appeared in genshin and me and my friend were talking about why i like him and she was like "you like his pecs, right?" and i was like "well, yeah." and she didn't let me finish and add the other reasons why i like him like bruh...

anyway, alhaitham is extremely kind but expresses it in a way that most people don't understand and i honestly really relate to him for having the whole "seeming too cold to be spoken to" vibe, and the fact that we both hate doing what doesn't interest us, and our dislike for loudness (and probably other stuff, but my brain is running on a cup of vanilla cappuccino and simping magic, so i forgor)

It hadn’t been her intention to fall asleep but admittedly it was a bit tiresome — hunting, tracking, killing the cult’s rising henchmen. By the end of an excursion, Elektra is always ready to take a good long break. Stirring softly at the feeling of hair being pushed aside, eyes blink open softly and head cants into the pillow of feathers and gold she rests upon — kept close, always. A smile is offered, palm extending to press her smaller hand into his own.     “ Hey … back already? ”     Yawning, one arm stretches overhead.     “ Sorry, I didn’t mean to fall asleep — but you don’t make it easy with how warm and cuddly you are. ”     A chuckle is given as she’s likely the one and only person who would refer to his true form in such a way.     “ You must be tired too … let’s take a nap together this time. ”     /     I ain’t no coward!!!!

     zephyr-like descent contradicts the colossal might of the beast clad in armor,   his light tread akin to a feather's soundless departure,   undetected unless the eye perceives it settle from its downward flight towards the ground.   Such gentleness is uncharacteristic and rather forigen to the executioner himself,   an inward trait that fails to paint him in a light any less grotesque,   but perhaps would rouse more terror in those who feared the edge of his blade and sharper claws.   These hands had known the feel of blood trickle   &.   stain skin falsely decorated in righteous gold,   its metallic taste prompting muscles to contract in a conflict betwixt reason and instincts,   healer by name,   capable of much destruction if he were to give in to the temptation of what had become now a matter of nature.   Whilst its sway may be powerful at times,   none of those grim aspects come to show in her presence,   but are rather softened into something kinder,   something human.   Only a moment ago he had tore ships asunder,   listened to the cries of men pleading for a mercy absent in the cruelty that had become of him.   And now,   as if oblivious to his size and the heavy footfalls of each step,   he practices caution as not to rouse her from her slumber,   seated upon his arm,   his lower wing wrapped around her in a protective hold.   It's where she belonged,    beside a heart heavily barbed in thick flesh and bone,   impenetrable to all except for the one bold to tread between ivy roots to rescue the man forgotten by the tides of time.

  The nest gates drag open upon his approach,   markings of a language unknown yet understood glowing in anticipation,   their light consequently fading as he disappeared inside.   It had been a long journey,   another outing to hunt down cult members before they could infest earth even further.   The physical strain of such ventures always had its toll on Elektra the most,   resilient as she may be,   her failing body and the frost of space would eventually wear her down,   his own light would keep her warm thankfully,   kept close to him until they made it back home.   It's no surprise once wings unfurl to see her sound asleep,   tucked into the warmth she's always lacking in a warrior's repose after a long battle.   It's often rare to see her look this   ...   peaceful,   one would mistake this comfort that smoothed the usual tention in her brow as though she had never been plagued by any trouble of the world.   Not a single word uttered as not to disturb her,   careful as he settled himself within the grassy heaps within the cave,   back leaned against the rocky structure for a short rest,   while it might take much more to tire him,   he can feel his own weight tugging him down,   a stiffness within wings from a long flight,   he could rest,   but he remains as he was,   watchful to some unseen danger in hopes to guard her sleep a little longer.   She stirs,   comfortable in the bed of feathers he wrapped her in.   He gazes at her for long,   perhaps to memorize the image of her a little while longer,   a lone finger reaches forward,   using the tip of his claw to brush a silver lock away from her face,   a clumsy gesture preformed with much hesitancy,   unused to displaying such tenderness within the sharpness of this form.   Moonbeams flutter open with his motion,   always alert,   however more at ease now,   cheeks flushed in rose,   a sleepy smile to grace her lips as she greeted him,   a natural beauty unknown to her and dearly loved by him.

       ❛❛   It's alright,   it's been a long day.   ❜❜        he says,   tone communicating unusual calmness,   a peculiar sense of peace to overcome him in the midst of a turmoil unheard to all but him.   A mere bend of his palm is enough to capture her hand                   wary of the placement of each finger so he doesn't scratch at her by mistake.   The Elder was a jagged monstrosity with the vague appearance of a man,   the stark white of his armor   &.   wings,   the strokes and splatter of gold like the work of a brush upon a canvas were all deceitful images of nobility,   an embodiment of good intentions turned deadly,   his own being had become an irony he could not escape.   Her own acceptance was still a matter of wonder to him,   unshaken by the jarring truth of what he's capable.   She looks upon him as she would as a human,   soft and tender,   while this wilted rose had become lethal and cold,   she evokes within him a certain warmth to hold when all he did was waste and divide his own to give life to the dead.   The implication of a similar exhaustion brings out a dissatisfied hum,   more like a grumble to be exact.   If it hadn't been for her falling asleep he would have been back to his usual work immediately.   Nonetheless,   he couldn't deny the after effects of overusing his light that had him sit there powerless for a time,   he simply didn't wish to confess it.        ❛❛   Just for a few minutes.   ❜❜       he concedes after a pause,   shifting carefully so he can lay himself on the bed of grass,   wings fold to envelop them both to create a cocoon of feathery comfort,   they can be at peace,   just a little while longer.
