[Injuries] - whenever one muse is injured, the other becomes injured in the same place, and vice versa. Good for muses who get stabbed, etc. (Bonus: either muse can treat the injuries, so if one can get to a hospital they can get the other urgent medical care.) | Sonata of the Darkness? The village Elder had not been especially happy to see Senritsu sit in his living room.
Between the halfround houses a very small girl ahd appeared, looking with bright red eyes and a wide open mouth at Senritsu leaning by the housewall as if the short woman was a exotic animal. Senritsu rose a hand to wave at the child, humming a gentle 'hello' that was stilll thick from an accent but also sounded welcoming. There was a beaming smile spreading over the childs small face when she heard Senritsu speaking in Kurta and her heartbeat squeaked a melody so loud of happy anticipation it was almost deafening.
The village Elder had not been especially happy to see Senritsu sit in his living room and his mood turned even sourer when she greeted him in her accent-heavy Kurta that she had learned by sneaking around the village for a month. Raised by robbers, thiefs, poachers and tricksters had left its mark as much on Senritsu as the last years she had spend as a Hunter.
From one second to another the melody was smothered by the girls parent hand on her shoulder, gently pushing her away back to the protective shadow hanging beteen other houses. Senritsu did not blame the parent, after all their heartbeat was clearly warm and fast which was the melody of someone being scared because they were worried for a loved one, but she still looked after the two with a wistful sigh, suddenly feeling even more distant to the people than when she had learned their language from afar hiding for a month in the forest.
The elders mood did not got the sligtest better when Senritsu explained why she was in the village, even when there were dandelions blooming soothingly on the walls. He knew about Nen, the woman figurered and had promptly stopped her Hatsu to talk to him more respectfully. Senritsu did not needed her keen hearing to know that the villagers avoided seeing her out of mistrust and fear, but hearing how the feet moving through the village took a big turn around the elders house as if it was infested with vermin was still making her feel irked. Not because she was holding it against the villagers. Butbecause it would make her research-work harder. And Senritsu loved her work too much to let it suffer. Yet there was one, just one, just this one, pattern of steps coming towards her and automatically Senritsu tilted her head to the side like a curious bird to listen more attentive.
The youngers steps were not rhytmically, the way he moved his left leg was a little slower, a little more careful, a little more heavier as if he was dragging a invisible weight behind him. A weight that Senritsu knew was the fear of a sudden pain. A weight that Senritsu knew was the fear of a sudden pain, for she moved the same on most days with bones that felt like glasssplitters. Senritsu felt a pang of understanding for the other and automatically lifted a small hand to wave a greeting at him. The light falling throught the canopy of leafs above wrapped everything in a green veil, dying the white housewalls green and turning the Kurtas blue clangarb tourquise.
"Hello, my dear tour-guide ready to narrante me through the village and show me where I can sleep,I assume?", the woman tilted her head from side to side like a thoughtful bird: "Or more accurately- I hope and not assume, since if I spend one more night in a tent, your Village elder will be happy for than I will be very much morendo." She chuckled over her own small joke, but eventually only shaked her head honestly amused and yet very aware how bad her joke was.
There was the dry rustling noise of something Senritsu had heard on herself in the last days and automatically Senritsu looked down, following Kurapikas sleeve to his hand to see a pale bandage wrapped around his hand. She couldn´t help but smile with a amused shimmer in her dark eyes: "Mhmmmm, seems like I am not the only one who had a accident with a cooking knife. No shame in that, cooking is an art that one needs to master with time and my time is always more focused on my work.", the woman motioned to the younger mans bandaged hand, holding up her own bandaged hand with a quiet, melodic laughter as if she was laughing over a joke only she could hear. YANDERE ROYAL ERASERMIC FAMILY X READER
Tumblr media
It had been probably a few days of being trapped in this castle, the royals whom you were told to respect had become people you saw every single day. And the thing is, every time you would how your sigh s of respect, as you were taught, by the MANY hours of studying you were forced to do by your mother, we’re brushed off, you were told that they were family, they aren’t superior to you in a royal way, simple as that. The idea alone confused you.
Along with…. Everything else, oh right! Like why the fuck the royal family is keeping you hostage and calling you their daughter, yep. At first you ahd thought they were just confused, maybe they really did think you were their daughter, like maybe they were told that you were, is you tried to explain it while king hizashi brushed your hair (very gently may I add). But he told you how cute you were, and acted like you hadn’t said anything in the first place, then your mind went to maybe they were trying to be curteous to the less fortunate, maybe it was that you’d caught your fiancé cheating on you?
But nope, when you’d told them that you were, in fact, quite alright, and that just because your former fiancé cheated doenst mean they need to help you, king Aizawa chuckled and told you that wasn’t why they were keeping you here, they we’re keeping you here because you belong here, with them, as their daughter. Which did nothing but confuse you even more. Then you’d told them you wished to go home, respectfully of course, and they told you that you were home, then you told them you wanted to go back to your mom and dad. They brushed it off.
So you just tried to leave, just refused to be respectful, as much as the palace luxury is enjoyable, you have missed work for two days, and your mom was probably red as a tomato angry with you. Jsut to be dragged back in by one of the guards, picked up like a little child and cradled in the buff mans arms, you just glared at him, he placed you right back in your room, where you received a lecture form your “papa”.
Today was different though, you could feel it, they made you dress up, in a light pink dress, covered in embellishments that looked like butterfly’s, a mesh covered your shoulders and half of your kneck, and the dress pooled down at your feet, and then they hadn’t let you wear heels, just baby pink flats with (again) butterfly’s on the tips. You realized a little too late that they were planning on showing you to the public, being thrust onto the large balcony, hand in hand with your “older brother” and “daddy”, who kept you firmly in place.
There was a large crowd sorrounding it, containing the entire city, guess you finally get to see the flip side of those announcements taht the royals would make. Shinso pulled you into him, cupping your waist to his chest, finding a way to comfortably restrain you, at this point you would probably just throw yourself off the balcony, and he didn’t want that.
“As you would know, we have an important announcement to make, earlier in this week, we held the annual ball, in which you all roamed our palace during the night. During which , we found someone whom we’ve been looking for, for a very long time”
“Yes, 15 years ago, we had another lovely child, we had yet to announce her to the public, as we wanted to cherish her first moments privately, yet rumors still spread, and the night after she was born, she had been whisked away from our grasp, taken form us in cold blood. But we found her, so now, my fellow comrades and followers, meet your long lost princess!” Aizawa yelled out, pointing to you, many gasped in the crowd, numbers started to ring out, you stood like a deer caught in the headlights, frozen, lies, all of them, yet they were believed so easily.
“Wait- hold on I’m not-“
Cheers rang out, and shouts of “prin-cess” echoed, you didn’t know what to do, you were used to talking to the same ten people a day, simple interactions between merchant and customer, this was different, instead of the monotone “good morning”, or “afternoon” you would get. These were cheers of pure enthusiasm, the people of this city really lived the royals, and now you were one of them. You attempted to back up a step into the house, but were clutched tighter or shinso, so you’d given up, shoved your face into his chest as if it would shield you.
“Ah yes, we are a little shy today aren’t we?” Mic asked, looking lovingly at you, he brought his hand up to pat your head, his voice echoing through the town square, apparently this was appealing to the crowd, as they then broke out in cooes and awes as if you werent a grown kinda/woman. Once they quieted down a bit, and the original excitement of having a new princess died down, the biggest unspoken question rang through everyone. Who would dare steal a sacred princess from the royals?
“It is a common concern as to wondering why, or should I say who, commuted such an act of treason as to take one of our own. We have recently been looking for the suspects, and had figured out the identities”
“May m/n l/n, and f/n l/n please pass the crowd, we wish for you to come out so we can see you clearly.” And so they did, the two people you’d grown up with managed to squeeze out of the crowd, you could swear people were throwing tomato’s at them with their glares, they stared up at you specifically, with somewhat pleading eyes, mixed with confusion.
“If you have not met them already, meet the two captors, m/n l/n and f/n l/n, you have both been charged with treason, immediate penalty for such crimes: death. Your execution will be tommorow, 4:00, I do hope you realize what you have done. With that, goodbye! We hope to see you all soon! “ your “father” announced, giving a royal wave to the crowd, and sending quite the glare to the two adults below them, the guards had been ready to grab them form the get go, by now they were being dragged screaming away from the town square.
Your remained frozen in your spot, your parents, your REAL parents, put up for execution? How- why- they’d don’t even do anything, they hadn’t kidnapped you? It was obvious that the royal were lying right? RIGHT? then again, no one seemed to question it, why wouldn’t they question it? Many of those people knew you, they’d come into your store every single day! They knew your parents, how could they just- jsut leave you? And turn on your parents cause these physicists wanted it?
I’m your moment of thought shinso had the time to cup his hand under you lower body, sl Gorky upset at how focused you were on those scum of parents you had, he spun you up, holding you close, guess those training lessons for fighting really did work out, you felt almost weightless in his arms. He carried you back in as the crowd booed the two, now criminals, as they were dragged in by guards, cheering for the royals, everything was just… so much right now. What were you even supposed to do?
“Hold on, none of you told me abo it my parents- or being kidnapped or- and let go of me!” You screeched, biting at the kings hand when he went to brush a stray hair out of your face, usually, this would be seen as an act of treason, and you would be down in the cellars with your parents in seconds, but nooooooo, you could never do anything bad right? It was an accident right? The yellow haired man cooed, and just continued on as if it hadn’t hurt at all,
“Oh I know, it’s scary, but true. We didn’t want to tell you, as we knew it would be quite the overwhelming statement, clearly, we were right. Welcome home hon” Aizawa spoke, as the guards shut the large windows, eri made little mmm hmmm, and “yeah” noises as he talked, nodding her head furiously to her baby sister.
“Sweety, Your “parents” deserve it, don’t forget that.” Mic continued on for aizawa, making air quotes around the word “parents”, and continued on his way, you and eri were gonna have a little playtime before they tried to get you to take another bath, they weren’t gonna drug you this time, and god knows you were gonna be upset. You sat there, in shinsos arms still as he carried you, just contemplating life,
So, your parents are… gonna die
———
“Alright, sweetheart, please be good until we get back okay? You can have some extra playtime if you do. I will see you near 5:00, so be ready for my surprise!”mic chuckled at your adorable face, booping your nose. Underlying the lighthearted atmosphere was a more tense and nervous one though. He was really hoping you weren’t scared of him still,
The execution was today, and you didn’t know what to do with yourself, of course they weren’t allowing you to attend, as apparently the “violence and sharp blades” could be harmful to your little mind, they had left you in one of their many living areas, with little toys and an older woman who you learned was head maid, and also was assigned as some form of babysitter. She was amazing, you loved inko, every time you saw her she would always Bering you little flowers from her garden that her son grows, apparently he was one of your personal guards, she was sweet, and didn’t act like whatever you said was invalid.
But she still was your fathers servant, and she seemed to believe some of their “too little to do anything” bullshit, so she followed the carefully created schedule they’d given her, every day spent away from the family, and either her, was full of naps, snacks, and monitored royal garden roaming. She liked to carry you around too, she might be old, but years of working in the palace grows some muscle, ain’t with feeding you, helping you do your hair, and getting dressed, she real treated you like a child. But… She was a very down to earth woman, while you didn’t think would ever get mad, in the few days you’d known her you’d grown to like her, and hoped she would understand why you had to go.
It was simple, she at least gave you the courtesy of staying in the bathroom by yourself without knocking on the door asking if you were okay ever ten seconds (unlike some people 😒), and there just so happened to be a window up above the large marble shower, of course, there was glass there, and you were very high up, but those were challenges you were willing to face.
After about five minutes she politely nocked on the door, telling you that lunch would be ready soon, and that you needed to come let her help you wash up before, she paid no refused yoj your loud “no “that came out, as you were currently standing on top of the edge of the bathtub, opening the window up completely after widdling away at the latch with a nail file you had found, the second she walked in she froze, immediately hurrying to grab you and pull you down, not before you could jump out though, soaring through the sky for a moment, luckily, you landed on a nearby roof, luckily, you hadn’t broke. Anything truly crucial, of course, your hand looked a little wonky, but the rest was a-ok, inko panicked in the bathroom, running out and informing the guards that you’d just up and jumped out of a window, she knew you were jumpy, but… not like this.
The second you were able to balance eyourself, you took off, this felt like you were in some book, running away from your royal family, saving your real family, jumping rooftops, you probably would’ve laughed at the idea, it’s funny how the tables can turn in one night. You kept your balance not so perfectly as you crossed each ridge of the rooftop, you heard a few yells below you, and spotted about seven guards splitting up to catch you. So you Ran faster, eventually meeting the End of the rooftop, you took a few crucial seconds to wonder if you would die in the way down, but discarded them, fuck it, let’s go.
You floped down on a markets flowerbeds, the small building not even catching a glimpse of you before you were off, recovering form the sharp pain in your back. Your eyes searched left and right for that familiar street, the one you’d grown up on, the one that you knew there would be people to help you. The frilly sundress they’d placed you in caused quite the bit of struggle, almost tripping over it every ten seconds got annoying. You slowed to a stop after a little while, catchi you family’s shop sighn, the adrenaline cut itself off, made you want to completely collapse.
When you finally did stop, in front of the fruit vendor that you’d seen every day since the day you were born, people started to murder, smal whispers from the people you used to consider friends, little seconds of gossp, all eyes were on you now, you probably should’ve hung low…. Too late now.
“Hey! Armando! I know you can hear me so please don’t ignore me like you usually do. I- I really need help, I don’t know what to do and my parents are fine, and there are so many people after me right now. And your the only one I think I can trust- so-“you spluttered out, heaving from your heavy run you’d just endured, with no shoes on.
“Kid, their word is law, your word is law, as much as I would love to help, I can’t… legally ” The man spoke, not one ounce of sympathy laced in his voice, obviously you’re upset! You jsut figured out that your whole life was a lie! Who wouldnt! But you needed this, your real family was back in the palace, not out here with. He nudged his assistant, whispering words into his ear, the boy ran off, and he grabbed your arm, pushing you into the front room of his fresh fruit shop, he pointed to a chair told you he would be back, you sighed, glad that someon here still cared.
And he did come back, with all 7 of the guards, explaining in detail what you’d said, how worried you’d seemed, how scared, and how they needed to tell your fathers immediately. You were caught liek a deer in the headlight, how could you be so stupid? Of course he would lead you into his house, taht has no other exits, how could you trust him?
How could he betray you?
You pushed yourself farther and farther into the corner of the room, hoping to Jsut disappear at this point, all of them were looking at you trying to self destruct, one getting ready to Grab hold of you, the others getting ready to hush you if you got scared enough to scream. The blonde man approached you, and you jsut waved your finger at him, cursing him out completely, he chuckled, instead of stopping he continued, swooping his arm under you, and picking you clean off the ground, paying no mind to your struggles. He held you close and tigger, Jsut like he’d been taught in the training lessons.
He held you head inwards to expel any embarrassment he knew you face, the cute confused expression itself made him want to protect you forever, and the constant threat of danger wasn’t helping. I’m the four days he’s known you, along with all of your other personal guards, he liked you.
All the citizens stared at you as you walked past, sorrounded by the squad of guards at each side, you gave up, instead trying to hide your face, this was a humiliating enough, but carrying you? That feels way too far. The walk felt like it took hours, you stared at the neatly alighted cobblestones as they passed, the man hummed a run that was supposed to ca you, it only made you more jittery though. When you arrived at the palace gates, people were lined up on the sides of it, wanting to catch a closer glimpse at you, it made you want to throw up.
Each step brought you closer to that prison, the blonde man was nothing but a prison guard to you, you hated this so much. Awaiting your second arrival, was your family, excluding eri. Looking down at you like you were nothing but a crying child. Beside them was inko, nervously waiting for you to either get down and walk to them. Or be carried to them, either way, she was just worried you’d gotton hurt, and by the way your hand and leg looked, you weren’t. Before you could start crying, or screaming, your even talking, the blonde king beat you to the punch.
“Feeling a little jumpy today aren’t we huh? Oh I get it- i do honey- we just can’t have this big of a disturbance happening every day alright? It’s gonna hurt your little head! This isnt gonna happen again?
Right?”

could you do aot girls & Hanji with insecure s/o that is wearing a bikini and tries to cover themselves up (idk if that makes sense lol)
OMG YES-
AOT Girls (+Hanji) with a s/o who is insecure
Includes: Mikasa, Annie, Pieck, Sasha (I NEED TO START WRITING FOR HER HELP), hitch, and hanji
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
-she pushes your hands out of the way and fully dead on looks you in the eyes. “Don’t try to cover yourself up y/n,” She says as she holds your hand, gripping it. “Oh uh- ah.. sorry..” you’d say, apologizing to her. The gray eyed woman would study you carefully as she looked your body up and down. “Mikasa! Don’t stare!” Mikasa would then pull you in close to her, cupping your cheek and giving you a passionate kiss. “You’re beautiful…Don’t you ever feel like you’re not,”
Tumblr media
- Annie almost wants to smack you seeing at how you cross your arms and put the beach towel over you, trying to cover yourself. She comes over to you, a bland stare on her face. “What’s wrong Anne?” You asked the blonde. She quickly ripped the towel that covered you off, you gasped as red rose upon your face. “Don’t ever try to cover up your beauty again,” Annie said at your shocked expression as your arms covered around your waist. “I- but I just-“
“no excuses,” She said, “I see that again and I’ll rip your face off, you don’t need to change your perfect and I like you as just the way you are,”
Tumblr media
- Seeing you insecure made pieck sad. She hated to see you so anxious about showing yourself and who you are to everyone else. Pieck knows how perfect you are and couldn’t stand to see you like that. “Oh y/n..” she said, “sweetheart why are you covering yourself?” Your girlfriend said, with a sad look on her face. “Oh Uhm…” You didn’t know what to say. “You’re so pretty y/n don’t ever think differently… Plus your body is absolutely perfect!” Your girlfriend said, grabbing your hand and kissing it. “Just look at youu, your mine,” she gave you a comforting smile.
Tumblr media
- “hey y/n, why aren’t you eating a lot?” Your girlfriend questioned. After a long week of hard work, you were all surprised that the captain ahd finally gave you the weekend off, and everyone decided to go to the beach. You all sat on the beach towels eating some fruits and a pizza sasha brought along as Sasha questioned your lack of hunger. “Oh uhm, I kind of bloat when I eat this kind of stuff so.. I cant have any,” You explained, covering yourself with the sandy beach towel. “Eh?” Connie looked at jean as jean shrugged. “Oh come on babe! I don’t care if you bloat or not! If you’re hungry your hungry now have some! It’s really good!” Sasha said shoving the piece of pizza in front of you. “I- uh, I just-“ “Y/n we Litteraly could care less about your body, Sasha eats like crazy and we don’t care what makes you think we would about you?” Connie said, grabbing another slice, “hell jeans on his 4th slice!” He nudged jean. “Plus baby you are Literally so perfect and I don’t care about your size! Just know I love you no matter what, and so do these idiots”
Tumblr media
- “LOOK AT HOW PRETTY MY Y/N IS EVERYONE!” they yelled to all the other scouts as they approached you. You squealed in surprise, shocked by the sudden amount of eyes on you. You nervously laughed it off as your partner threw their arm around you, hugging you. “LOOK AT YOUUUU! YOURE SO GORGEOUS!” They smirked at you. “I mean come on y/n, you’re everything I’ve always wanted!”
Tumblr media
- “oh hell no! You better wear that bathing suit y/n!” Your girlfriend yelled at you from the changing rooms at the beach. “I don’t know…I just don’t really think I’d look good in it..” you said, doubtingly. “PUT IT ON OR ELSE ILL FORCE YOU TO WEAR MY SHORTER ONE!” The woman scolded from behind you. “It just shows a lot, and I don’t necessarily have the body for it,” “the body for it!?” Hitch came out of the dressing room wearing a bikini. “Baby look at me! I’ve got a stomach and thick thighs and I’m still wearing this! Shit I look sexy as fuck in it too!” She winked giving her butt a smack while staring at herself in the mirror. “Baby you’d look perfect in that! You don’t need a certain body to wear a bathing suit!” You looked down at the two piece in her hands, nervous. “Come on sweetie you are so damn sexy just as you are, and I can’t wait to see you in that too!” She giggled. “I love you!”

Alright one more cause you can never have too much #Robron Fan Fic💕😍. Heads up iif you enjoy Chaddy skip this one😀👍
Charity walks into the backroom of the pub to find Chas faffing about flicking a feather duster around like a mad woman.
"What's with the Sadie the cleaning lady on steroids act?" She raised her eyebrows directing her question to Paddy stood like a statue in the middle of the living room.
"Aaron he is arriving any minute so Chas is getting things ready" replied Paddy stepping out of the way as Chas brushed past him with the duster.
Charity scoffed in amusement. "Seriously all this fuss for Aaron the same Aaron who left his muddy boots anywhere. Dirty towels on the bathroom floor that Aaron? He is hardly gonna care if he can see his reflection in the tea kettle"
"Aaron might not care but his new man might. That's why I am making an effort. First impressions matter" stated Chas
"New fella! He's bringing him here to his parent's home"Charity looked at Chas and Paddy eyes wide in shock.
"Yeah according to Aaron he's really happy and it's serious" replied Paddy.
"Woa it must be his first time home since he left and he is bringing him along to meet the in laws I honestly thought after he lost Robet his soulmate he would never find that kind of love again" Charity looked at them in disbelief.
"Oh he has well ahd truly moved on from Robert. When we face time him he looks so happy. Can't stop smiling . He is so enthusiastic about everything again. And that's all down to this new man of his. And I can't wait to meet the man responsible for making my boy whole again. Chas beamed at them giddy with excitement.
"Speak of the devil. Look what the cat dragged in. Aren't you are a sight for sore eyes. The prodical son returns" charity reached over to hug Aaron who had just arrived through the back door.
"Aaron sweetheart my baby boy " Chas barreled towards him hugging the life out of him.
"Steady on there Mum or you might break a rib" warned Aaron stepping out of her embrace.
"You have been missed around here son"Paddy took his turn to hug him.
"Yeah getting out of the village after everything was definitely what I needed to do. But being back it feels good." He smiled fondly at Charity Chas and Paddy.
"So come on then where are you hiding this amazing new man of yours?"squealed Chas.
Aaron l scrunched up his face with a strange expression on his face. "Um he's outside waiting. We thought it would probably be best if I came in first to prepare ya"
"Prepare us? Love I am more than prepared to meet him. He's put the light back in your life so he's already won me over. Go on bring him.in. Chas gave him a nudge towards the door.
"Alright settle down. You need to understand that I love him okay. He is my person that I see my future with....Ou you can show ya face now"He yelled in the direction of the backroom door. Charity Chas and Paddy all started in anticipation.
"So did anyone miss ne?" A familiar voice asked as Robert strode through the door with a smirk on his face. He walked upto Aaron putting his arm around the other man's shoulders.
"No how is this even possible? Your meant to be inside? Chas stuttered mouth hung open in shock.
"Aaron made contact convinced me I had a reason or reasons him and Seb to lodge an appeal. We kept it quiet from Vic and Diane incase it wasn't successful. But it was and I got out on time served" Robert explained to his stunned audience.
"Oh this is priceless. Your faces Chas and Paddy. But come on even you two have to admit it was always inevitable these two would find their way back to each other" stated Charity.
"Shut up" snapped Chas looking like a child about to pitch a fit.
"Aaron after everything he has done..."
"Paddy stop okay" Aaron interrupted him. " That's the past. We have sorted it. We love each other end of. I don't need your blessing I never did. I love you both. But don't make me choose cause there is no choice. Robert is my future. He always will be. Aaron reached for Robert's hand holding onto it tightly. "Messed up together forever"he smiled cleaning forward to kiss Robert.

6! I’ve been loving everyone doing these prompts!
Aw, yay! I knew instantly which universe to set this in, as well as what would happen, so I hope you enjoy this return to grinning & grumpy, aka Hockey Player Grouch Jon and Bubbly Happy Dany!
Romantic One-Liner Prompts
6. “Being happy, fortunately coincides with making you happy.”
“I don’t know how I feel about this.”
“It’s easy.”
Dany huffed, her knuckles white under the layer of her cashmere gloves, gripping the red edge of the ice rink wall circling her. Initially, she was slightly offended that he hadn’t seen fit to bring them out onto the actual rink, but now, her feet resting upon narrow blades and a very hard, very cold surface, designed to be as slick as possible and when it wasn’t, filled with dangerous sharp gooves and divots that could tear into your skin, if you were not wearing proper padding.
The red leather leggings she’d chosen that morning, with her favorite oversized black cashmere sweater and black puffy coat did not consistute proper padding. She was regretting this entire thing, when she’d agreed to Jon’s declaration that he ahd a surprise for her and would it please him if she could wear a black scarf around her eyes for a moment?
She agreed, thinking it was some new kinky thing they could test out, but nope. He’d brought her straight to the ice rink. The practice rink. The children’s practice rink. “This is a mistake,” she threw over hers houlder, still not letting go. “I enver should have agreed to this!”
“Oh come off it, you’re fine.”
“Says the professional hockey player!”
Indeed, her grump was skating easily around the rink, lapping her every two seconds, more comfortable on the ice than he was off of it, and he’d put on his gloves and was holding his stick, tossing about the biscuit with Edwina, who was laughing at her and pointing, looping her too. “It’s fun Dany!” the little girl shouted, in her pink pads and pink hockey skates, a pink helmet strapped over her head.
“Where do I get one of those?” she asked.
Jon lapped her again. “One what?”
“A helmet.”
“Oh you’re fine.”
“You wear one!”
“Because I have six-foot, five-inch, 250 pound defensemen trying to beat the ever-loving shit out of him with their stick and blades,” he explained, popping the puck onto his stick and watching it bounce a moment before he dropped it down to the ice, sending it rocketing down the rink towards Edwina, who easily took it and shot it into the small kid’s size goal at the end.
Edwina shouted, throwing her hands into the airs. “She shoots! She scores!”
“Not a difficult thing to do with no one here!”
“Oh shut up Uncle Jon!”
“You shut up!”
“No you!”
Dany passed them, her feet slightly more comfortable underneath her now. She let go of the rink with one hand, feeling better now and pushed off here and there, giggling. It wasn’t so bad. She glanced over to Jon, who was msiling at her, lazily crossing over to join her, his hand outstretched. She gently placed hers in his; even through her gloves his skin was cool, despite his gloves on a moment ago. She let him tug her away, her knees trembling. “Ah!”
He shook his head, clicking his tongue, eyebrows lifting. “No, none of that, just trust yourself.”
“Jon, I’m wearing sharp razors on my feet on ice.”
“That’s how you can stand, come on, just trust me.”
She trusted him with her life, letting him pull her closer to his chest, his hand still in hers, and she allowed him to pull her along, while he skated backwards, taking her around the ice, around and around, in relaxing laps, her mind going blank, focusing on the warmth from his chest, the slight puffs of his breath, and the cool breeze on her face wafting off the ice.
It was a nice surprise, one she suspected he’d done to cheer her up. Daario had decided, after he’d been traded from the Wolves, to go on a press blitz that included trashing her as much as possible in the papers and on talk shows, going on about how she’d used him to get the job with the Wolves—not true—cheated on him with Jon—definitely not true—and currently was in a fit of depression because not only was she without him, but her meal ticket boyfriend had decided that he would retire from the Wolves after the end of the season—the only thing true about that was Jon deciding to retire from the Wolves after the end of the season.
It had been a hard call to make, but he wanted to go out on his own terms, not because a bad check forced it out of him. He had done what needed to be done to heal his shoulder enough to get back out there, to be the all-star centre he was. She loved him more and more, every second, and was so grateful to have him in her life. Daario’s shitty moves hadn’t affected her at all, until he decided to bring up some extremely personal details, personal details she regretted ever sharing with him.
Dany could only be so happy in public, but this was enough to bring her down, and when the roles switched—Jon was the smiling one in the relationship—the press had picked up on it and there was only so much even she could take. She’d been fairly down lately.
And Jon Snow was picking her back up.
Also literally, literally picking her up.
“Put me down!” she laughed, when he hoisted her up off the ice, spinning in a circle with her in his arms.
He laughed, keeping a tight grip on her, skating backwards, her legs now around his hips. “And why would I do that?”
“You drop me on my arse and I will kill you!”
“I’m not going to drop you on your arse, I am a professional hockey player.”
She tightened her grip around his neck, smiling down at him, his often-scowling face pulling into a relaxed grin. “A hockey player, not a pairs figure skater.”
“Perhaps that can be my second career.”
“And who will be your partner?”
He set her down on the ice, holding her hands, and carefuly glided her around in a circle; it was shaky, but it was the barest hint of a spin. She shrieked, amazed she hadn’t fallen down, and he pulled her back into his arms. “You, of course.”
“I don’t know about that.”
They skated around, her feet far more comfortable now, even willing to test the ability to push off the ice on her own, but still keeping his hand tight in hers. Circling around and around, she noticed that Edwina had left, along with the hockey goal. She peered up at Jon, who didn’t think a thing about it. “What?” he wondered, at her frown.
“Wehre did Edwina go?”
On cue, the lights dimmed, bright rainbow ones flashing around lazily on the ice, like a disco globe, and music started, soft jazz that she normally played in her apartment when she wanted a hot bath, usually preferring hard rock or rap or hip-hop for everything else. “What on earth…,” she wondered, gazing around, and then to Edwina, who was on the other side of the plexiglass, waving and giggling. She burst into laughter. “What did she do!?”
Jon feigned disgust. “That little shit!”
Even the great grouch Jon Snow couldn’t hide the little curve in his lips, the smile winning out after she jabbed her elbow into his gut. He chuckled, shrugging his shoulders, sheepish. “Wanted to do something nice. This is nice, right?”
He was so nervous about it, she pushed into him, knocking him slightly off balance. She gasped, faltering, terrified of falling, but his arm shot out to wrap around her wist, keeping her on her feet—or blades—regaining his balance too. She maintained her arms around him, nodding, smiling wide. “Yes, it is very nice.” She paused, whispering. “Thank you.”
They continued to skate around, with him letting go of her to have her try some strokes out on her own, a couple of bobbles here and there, but she was able to do it, eventually skating right into his arms, her face pressing into his Winterfell Wolves hoodie. She sighed, eyes closing, and he spun her around a few times, at home on the ice, and sharing that home with her, in a way that made her think, her eyes flicking up to his.
He was still smiling, softly to himself, and she turned so her back was to his chest, his chin dropping to her shoulder, keeping her skates between his as he pushed her along with his momentum. “Jon,” she whispered, hands tight on his.
“Hmm?”
“I think you’re very happy. I’m glad for that.” It was where she wanted him to be, a place where he could be satisfied with how things would turn out in his career, which she knew was very important to him, and also, he was letting what Daario said in the public roll right off his back, which was what she was doing now, pressing away all that initial hurt, because she was here with Jon, and that was where she was happiest. Where it mattered most.
He kissed her neck, his breath tickling her ear, husky and thick with emotion. “Being happy, fortunately coincides with making you happy.”
Tears pricked the corners of her eyes. She turned her face up to his, grinning, and accepted the gentle kiss he touched to her lips. “I love you,” she whispered.
“I love you too.”
They skated around for some time, how long she couldn’t say, but long enough for Edwina to grow bored wherever she was hiding and stomp out, banging her hockey stick on the ice and demanding a one-on-one with the All-Star, Highest-Scoring Centre in Westeros Hockey history.
“Are we just gonna’ skate or are we gonna’ play some puck!?” she demanded.
Jon rolled his eyes. “Oh shut it. You don’t know what you’re talking about, you’re six!”
“I do so know and I’m gonna’ beat you!”
Dany kissed his cheek, giggling, and squeezed his hadns again. “I think Jon, it would make me very happy if you taught your niece a bit of hockey now.” She arched her brows, laughing at his pretend scowl, his gagging as she let go of him and carefully toddled over to the edge of the ice rink, clearly all for show. She got off the ice and sat down on a bench, grinning and watching him play with his niece.
And very grateful she did not have to go back out there again. Ice skating most definitely not for Daenerys, as happy as it did make Jon.

guys im bored hear abt how i broke my arm. TW for broken bones, dissassociation, vomiting, drugs and needles. Also this is like. Therapy. Idk.
weird thing about it was that i was feeling intense happiness, because I’d just confirmed my classes for the next year and i was jsut. Really happy.
So i did this little twirly thing??? idk. Anyway, my ankle went out under my, i put my hand back and crack.
I know there was a definite seperation between the before and after of this. Like, the adrenaline made it feel like I was aware of everything.
After I fell, and after the crack, I stood up fast. I didn’t realise my wrist was fucked until I saw it - and it wasn’t a compound fracture, the skin was still unbroken. But it looked fucking nasty. It was supposed to be held straight, but the wrist was shifted.... up. And it was floppy, but I could control it if I wanted to be in immense amounts of pain.
I started walking over to my P.E. teacher. I said his name once, really loudly - and then he didn’t hear me, so I kept walking. I was cradling my wrist against my body at this point, and I just needed to move. It helped distract from my pain at that point.
When I reached him and he saw my wrist he was like fuck. He didn’t say it, but I could see it, and he said, “ Okay, we need to get you to the sickbay and call your parents.”
Okay, this happened before that when I was walking over. One of the people who was around me had walked beside me and was asking questions, and I straight up said, “Ruby, if you don’t walk away right now, I will either scream or burst into tears and scream, please go away.” I couldn’t handle anyone being near me.
Then when we were walking off the turf (where we were doing P.E. that day, as opposed to the gym.) one of the guys saw my arm and was like holy shit and I’m 99% sure I just looked at him with a really worried look. My face was going white I’m pretty sure, which is weird because I’m naturally flushed quite a lot of the time.
We had to walk up stairs. That fucking sucked. The pain was fine whenever it wasn’t jolting me, and we were walking fast, so you can imagine how I was trying to be very careful.
I’m 99% sure I was terrified that I was going to tip over again, and that would’ve hurt. I was just focusing on staying on my feet.
We got to the office/sickbay and they sat me down. I made myself get my retainer out of my mouth because it was.... foreign. I was going to - I’d say have a panic attack, but I’m not sure that’s the correct name for it - do something bad if I kept it in, because there was something already wrong with me and I just couldn’t handle it.
Also I asked if I could swear. Like, “Um, would it be okay if I, uh, swore?” and the person in there with me looked at me like wtf child and said i could.
Later, one of the teachers who’d walked by told me that they had no idea I had that filthy a mouth on me. Swearing helped a lot.
They made me put my wrist in this makeshift sling thing, which made me want to fucking cry. They sent someone to get my bag, and I told them to leave as soon as they’d gotten it, because I couldn’t handle any of my peers seeing my like that. probably because I felt extremely vulnerable.
I never swore at anyone. I can remember not wanting to, because I didn’t feel that they deserved it? Like, I didn’t want to take my pain out on them. Very strange.
They didn’t give me any panadol or nuramol or nurofen (pretty sure that isn’t how you spell it but eh). I can remember that, because they said that it might react badly to whatever drugs they gave me in the hospital.
When my mum got there, we went over to the car and I put my seatbelt on myself bc im independant like that, before I rolled my head back and scream-said to my mother to hurry up please I feel like I’m dying. Because she was talking to my teacher.
At that point I was being a melodramatic shit, because my pain level I think? was a four, unless I moved my arm, then it jolted into a six.
Anyway. I sung/murmured hamilton songs really fast as we drove the like, five minutes to the hospital because that helped distract me from the pain.
When we got to the hospital and the emergency room, we ended up waiting like 20 minutes which were all hell. My dad came at one point and I told mum he needed to leave because I couldn’t handle having him there. Not for any bad reasons, just that I fucking hated dealing with people and if I had to deal with him I’d cry.
I didn’t cry at any point during this, which was weird. I didn’t like that.
Someone gave me two panadol or something, which didn’t help in the least. They got mum to fill out an acc form - I can remember her asking me things. The pain was bad, like a constant throbbing that was there. I’m pretty sure I started not being there at some point during the time I was waiting. It was easier than dealing with it all, because there were people staring at me and my arm and I wanted to scream at them because none of them were as bad as me and why the fuck are you staring at me.
Anyway. When the nurse came - she was really nice - she got me into a room and to sit on a bed, and then we waited for what was maybe half an hour? There was an old guy dying or nearly dying in the room beside mine and I felt like.... weird because of it. It didn’t feel right, that he was dying.
When they got me a doctor - after me scaring the shit out of a nurse who I thought was a doctor (i still cringe at the memory) - he ws really nice. He was wearing a haiwaiian shirt and was supposed to be going home, and I was quite lucky that they’d caught him as he was leaving.
They got me on some nitrous oxide to calm me down, or to take the pain away.
Now here’s where thigns get a little less linear, I think.
I can’t remember when they put the I.V. in, whether it was before or after the x-ray. The x-ray was hell, because they made me put my munted arm flat on the cold surface of whatever the fuck they were using for the xray. I had dropped the nitrous oxide tube thingy out of my mouth at that point.
The nitrous oxide was nice. It made me feel tired, and when the dude stuck the needle in my arm and then put the I.V. in, I didn’t care about it. I hadn’t been worried before, perse, just uncomfortable because of the whole broken wrist dealie.
Anyway. X-rays. They said I’d broken the tip off my radius. Then the I.V. Then they got an anathesiologist to come in and explain what was going to happen to me.
This whole time they’d explain exactly what they were going to do, because I asked. A lot. I needed to know what was happening so that then I would know what was going on and that was jus tme reiterating what I’d just said ahaha
Anyway. He explained the options, and in the end they decided to give me ketamine.
For those who don’t know, ketamine is a horse tranquilizer. Its also fucking nasty, coming back up from it.
Mum signed a waiver stating that the hospital wasn’t responsible if I died or something.
This was because, as they explained, ketamine shuts off a part of the brain. If too much of it is used, then you die because it shuts off your breathing, your heart, etc. They had shit that would stop that, if anything bad happened. They put electrodes on me at one point. At least, I think that’s what they were called.
They also might’ve upped the dosage, because what could’ve happened was that they fucked up setting my arm the first time, and they had to cut it out and redo it. If they’d redone it, I’d’ve had to go into theatre.
The whole time this was happening I was terrified I was going to out myself to my mum. I have an odd track record of saying weird shit randomly while I’m in pain.
Ketamine also takes you into a dreamland, which is why drug addicts can get addicted. You basically lucid dream, but way more intensely than normal, if you’ve ever ahd a lucid dream. Or it can take you into an absolutely hellish nightmare scape, if you aren’t thinking good things when you go under.
I had neither. I didn’t even know I’d gone under. What happpened was that they put the ketamine in the I.V., and a minute late I was out.
It felt like blinking. When I opened my eyes, it was like in movies where they blink and its a new scene each time.
Blink. They were moving me to the x-ray. My head ached. My eyes wouldn’t focus. Someone was talking about their car.
Blink. They were moving my arm.
Blink. They were moving me back to the room I’d been in.
Every time I moved my head, it just. It was on another side. I couldn’t focus my eyes for three quarters of an hour. I felt tired, and sleepy, and like shit.
Thye got me to sit up at one point. I nearly vomited. They gave me a pill. It was chalky and the taste was nasty.
When they got me to move from the bed to a chair, I vomited.
I hadn’t eaten for longer than six hours, at that point. It was bile coming up. It burnt my throat. I couldn’t stop.
When I forced myself to breathe again and stop vomiting, they gave me water and left me for a minute. They had people they needed to get in the room, I think, so I was trying to move. They got me into a chair in a bit that was in between the x-ray room and where I’d been. Mum talked with someone else who was there with her daughter.
The cast was big and white, because of the type of break. It was heavy and they put me in a sling when I left. I was able to walk straight. They’d been concerned I wouldn’t be. I’m pretty sure I thanked everyone who’d helped, if I saw them.
Mum took me to get subway. Then we went home.
My sibling had broken their arm around about a year and two weeks before I’d broken mine. Their’s had been the two bones in their lower arm. They’d had to go into theatre for it and have trauma around it. My parents won’t get them to go to therapy and they won’t go willingly
When I got home, they had a panic attack or some shit and started screaming at me when I was short at them. Fuck them for that.
I went into a room and started messaging my friends. i videocalled them and showed them my arm. i was acting all stupid and weird about it by being really silly and stuff. I didn’t feel like any of it was happening, even though I knew it was. At some point I found out I had the electrode thingies still on me. I pulled them off.
People were so concerned about me, it was weird. I ended up responding to them individually as opposed to not. Someone thought that it was a joke and that everyone was lying about it. I gave them a play-by-play and they believed it then.
Even weeks after it happened, it still felt vaguely not real. The first time I cried about it was seven days after, when I tried and failed to make homemade macaroni and cheese.
I learnt that the chunk of bone beside the wrist - the one down at the top of the ulna - had completely seperated from the rest of the bone.
All the wrist bones and muscles had pulled back, which was my wrist had been so weird.
Everyone who helped me was really nice. I’m glad that they were nice, because I got told later about doctors who were bitches and were in the emergency department. Also got told that ketamine was really fucking weird for them to be giving me.
I got prescribed Tramadol. Mum and dad wouldn’t let me take any of it. my sibling had been prescribed it when they’d broken their arm. they’d taken it. Apparently tramadol can put you in a depressive state.
i don’t know what would’ve happened to me if I’d taken it at that point. even before the arm my head was in a bad place. I’m better now though.
I pushed through the pain on panadol.
I broke my arm on a friday. saturday, sunday, I spent at home. Monday I went to school. Felt like passing out at some point.
Yeah, that’s basically what happened when I broke my arm

Max keeps pacing up and down the diameter of the room. She stretches her hands over her head and Billy thinks her protective hovering is starting to bug the nurses. They both stayed overnight but Billy’s at least taken a couple breaks. He got himself some Doritos from the vending machine. Borrowed and smoked a cigarette even though he virtually quit a couple years back. Took a short drive to a Kmart up the road and bought Max a change of clothes, supposing he wouldn’t able to get her anything of her own if her home was wrapped in caution tape.
“You wanna go down to the cafeteria, maybe? Get something to eat?”
“Not hungry.”
“Okay…did you know they have a gift shop? Wanna go check it out?”
“No.”
“Do you—“
“I’m not leaving, Billy.” Max’s eyes glitter in a stubborn glower.
“Oh, but maybe you should, sweetheart,” Susan says softly. “You’re getting restless.”
“I’m fine.”
“You should get out of this stuffy room. Go for a stroll, stretch your legs. I would if I could.”
Pure heartbreak flashes across Max’s face and Billy feels his own lurch.
“Oh dear, bad joke.” Susan frowns and flaps her hand, the tube connecting it to the IV pouch swaying gently in the air. “That was in poor taste, I apologize. But I do think you need to get some fresh air, Max. I’ll be fine.”
Max pauses. Her hands come together and she taps her thumbs together as she mulls it over.
“I’d feel better if you stayed here.” Max shifts her gaze to Billy.
“Didn’t plan on going anywhere,” he says honestly. Max is obviously wired and getting more antsy by the minute but Billy is the opposite. He’s wiped out after driving for several hours straight and aching from head to toe after scrapping with his dad.
“…alright,” Max relents after a very long moment. “I’ll be back in fifteen.”
She gently swipes the back of her hand over her mother’s cheek. Susan blinks contentedly and hums in approval as Max trudges off to the door. She leaves. Susan's gaze flickers to Billy and then down. She frowns at the guardrail of the bed and uncertainly pushes at it with her palm.
“What’re you doing, Sue?”
“I don’t need this. I’m not going to roll out of bed.” She continues pushing at the guardrail but her efforts are weak and uncoordinated. Even if she had more power and precision behind her pushes, Billy’s pretty sure these things aren’t designed to be collapsed from the patient’s position.
“It’s fine, just leave it alone.”
“No,” she refuses, eyes narrowing. “It’s in my way, Billy. It’s separating us.”
Something knocks loose inside his chest. Billy hasn’t seen her in three months. He hadn’t been particularly sure he’d ever see her again.
“Okay, okay, I’ll give it a go. Here.” He sighs out and messes with the thing and after a couple tries and a few silent shrieks from his very sore shoulders, he finally figures out how to get the damn rail lowered, adjusting it accordingly.
“Thank you so much,” Susan breathes. “Now it's easier to do this.”
She stretches out her slender fingers and rests her hand upon his knee. She gives it a couple dulcet pats. Her pinky pokes inside the fraying tear in the denim, soft pad of her fingertip cool against his skin. Billy swallows, wonders how much he is allowed to touch. She wouldn’t be this affectionate with him if she knew.
“It’s my fault Neil found you and Max,” Billy admits, heart pumping guilt like sludge in his veins. “It’s my fault he almost killed you.”
“What?” Susan stares at with owlish eyes.
“I wanted to send Max a gift in the mail,” Billy explains, speaking slowly and plainly. “I hid it under my bed. My dad saw it when he raided my room looking for some shit he thought I stole from him. That’s how he got your address. I tried to stop him, Susan. But I couldn’t…I’m sorry.”
“Oh, Billy.” Susan signs, rubbing her lips together. Her hand travels from his knee to his wrist and she gently pushes up his jacket cuff. Billy doesn’t stop her. He watches her eyes darken at the sight of the bruises.
“I’m sorry,” he repeats.
“You said it was a gift for Max?”
“Yeah…new skateboard.”
“I wish you would’ve just driven over to drop it off. Because if you came over, you would’ve seen how nicely we decorated our little duplex…you could’ve seen my darling little gnomes sipping tea and these delightfully clever novelty magnets Max found for the refrigerator. You could’ve sat on our couch and while it’s a bit worn— we got it secondhand —it’s very comfy. Maybe if you saw how nice everything was and sat in our cushy, comfy couch, you wouldn’t have wanted to leave.”
Billy gapes at her, noncomprehending. He just confessed he’s the reason she almost got killed. That it's his fault his dad literally broke into her home to beat her to death with a wrench. And Susan doesn’t seem angry at all. He knows she's on the good shit, but still. She's not out of it. She heard what he said. Ahd she is frowning but it’s a more fretful expression than anything, dimple between her eyebrows, forehead crinkled in concern.
“I waited for you, Billy.”
Oh.
“We talked about this before you left, Susan,” Billy gently reminds her. “I told you why I chose to stay. Remember?”
“You wanted to protect us,” she murmurs, thumb chary as she rolls it over his bruised wrist. “Me and Max.”
Billy solemnly nods his head.
“Mm…” Susan’s eyes rove the room and then settle back on him as her lips curl into a doleful smile. “How well do you suppose that turned out?”
Billy’s eyes travel along the chest tube to the rectangular drainage unit on the floor, the printed numbers and increments he doesn’t really understand. Glances to her legs elevated on the pillows. The right one was more badly broken. Not badly enough to require surgery, but still too swollen for a hard cast. The swelling in her left went down and Susan got fitted for a cast just a couple hours ago. The dark purple color she picked matches the massive bruise that currently blooms across most of Billy’s back.
“I’m sorry.” He bows again even though it hurts, it hurts, he’s goddamn sore but not as sore as he is sorry. Billy feels the knot tremble in his throat and he is possibly more sorry than he’s ever been anything else in his life. There is a beast in his belly with a thousand guilty eyes and shame in every one of its silent, miserable cries.
“No, no, raise your head. Don’t— it’s not your fault, Billy.” He feels Susan’s hand sweep the fringe from his face in a few quick motions, delicate and deft. “Won’t you look at me?”
Warily, he glances up. Susan’s eyes are misting up as he feels his own stinging again. Shit. Max is going to kill him if he makes her mother cry.
“I am the one who needs to apologize," Susan declares. "For the life of me, I couldn’t convince you to come with us. I failed you.”
“What?” Billy scoffs in disbelief. “No, that’s not on you. I’m stubborn, I’m—“
“I am the adult,” Susan cuts him off, voice sharp even as her hand rests against his cheek lamb gentle. “The real adult, you're barely twenty. You did what you thought was best but I’m older and I knew better, and I couldn’t make you see it. I let you stay, I left you in the lion’s den.”
Billy doesn't really see it that way. He doesn't feel like a child, doesn't want to be treated as one. And he's no longer Neil's legally, albeit he's been nowhere near financially independent. Couldn't work for a long time after that gruesome nightmare turned reality that was the worst fucking Fourth of July ever. Had to fork over all his paychecks to Neil even after he could go back to work— supposedly put toward residual medical bills insurance didn't cover, but hell if Billy truly trusted any excuse Neil could and would hold over his head. In any case, that's not entirely why he stayed with Neil. And staying with Neil wasn't even exactly the same thing as not going with Susan and Max, but abandonment wasn't a factor in the equation at all. He doesn't feel that way, how could Susan think that?
“You left me the address,” Billy pointedly reminds her and he does not let himself crane his face into her touch even though it’s cool and soft and he feels his stomach loosen with this, this featherlight clemency so careful and sweet.
Because of course he knows why he was left the address and it was never so he could mail packages.
“I should’ve grabbed you and dragged you to the car.” Susan doesn’t sound like she’s kidding.
“You could’ve,” Billy breathes and he’s not kidding either. “You’ve seen me get grabbed, Susan. I don’t fight it. Not in the house. Never did…not until he found that address.”
Susan’s thumb brushes away the tear that spills over, unbidden. Billy reaches out and does the same for hers.
“I’m not mad,” he promises in earnest.
“Neither am I. In fact, I’m…” Susan trails off, exhaling heavily as she draws her hand back from his cheek. “I don’t know, Billy. He was going to kill me. Maybe both of us and I could never say that I’m glad that happened because I am not. I am not glad Max had to see and do what she saw and did. I am not glad that at present, I cannot even stand without assistance. But…you’re here. You’re here because of what happened. Because of what happened, Neil…I never have to worry about Neil again. I never, ever have to look over my shoulder worrying about when he will find me because he already did.”
“That’s one way of looking on the bright side, I guess,” Billy mutters, voice hollow.
“Your father has done all the harm he will ever be able to do, to any of us, and now we’re together again. Isn’t there something to be said for that, Billy?”
He swallows thickly, nodding his head as he places his hand on the bed. Susan’s fingers slide over his and that’s how Max finds them when she returns.
“There you are,” Susan welcomes, smiling warmly. “That was a bit longer than fifteen minutes.”
Max freezes. “Did you need me?”
“No, honey, I’m fine. We’re fine. I’m just happy that you took a good break.”
Max visibly relaxes and shuffles over, lightly squeezing her mother’s upper arm. “I saw Neil.”
Billy exchanges a look of shock with Susan.
“Yeah, he had a new guard today and we talked for a couple minutes. Cool lady with a cool name, like some Greek Goddess name. She gave me a dollar for the vending machine and let me in his room.”
“Are you okay?” Susan frowns, worry crossing her features as her lashes flutter.
“Yeah, Mom. Neil doesn’t scare me anymore.” Max leans in and presses another kiss to the crown of her Susan’s head. Billy’s never seen her more affectionate than this, so doting and tender with her injured mother. “It was actually good. To see Neil like that…to know I did that. It confirms it, I guess? I mean not that I didn’t know, because obviously I know I didn't dream or hallucinate what happened, but…”
“Seeing is believing, perhaps?” Susan tilts her head, mussy red tresses shifting over the pillowcase.
“Yeah, like that. Seeing is believing, I guess. I saw the neck brace and the handcuffs and now I’m…well I’m not gonna turn into a badger every time you want me to take a break.” Max’s mouth quirks, expression sobering when she glances to Billy. “Are you gonna see him?”
“I don’t know,” Billy answers. He keeps thinking about it.
Maybe he’d feel better like Max does. Maybe he’d feel worse. He thinks he’d hate himself if he wound up having some scrap of sympathy. He thinks maybe he’d rip the pillow out from under his father’s head and smother the rest of the life out of him. He thinks he would have the opportunity to say everything he’s ever wanted to say but worries that he would not have the words, worries they may dissolve on his tongue with that stern, steely stare that’s shackled him all his life.
“Not yet,” Billy decides at least.
“You look weird,” Max bluntly blurts, scrunching her nose.
“That’s not nice,” Susan protests in mild reproach.
“It’s not mean,” Max counters, shrugs a shoulder as she looks back to Billy. “You okay? Is it hard being in a hospital again?”
Susan too raises a brow.
Billy reflexively lifts a hand to his chest, curls his jacket in his fist until the button presses uncomfortably into his palm. Few things in his life had been more challenging than his hospital stay and it wasn’t even being in pain or sick or weak, then weaker, then stronger and still in pain— it was sterility. It was being cooped up. It was no privacy whatsoever and never the right noises. It was everything being terrible except Max and Susan even if Max and Susan being around constantly was sometimes terrible but never, ever because they were terrible because they genuinely weren’t and— and now they’re all here again with some of the details rearranged.
Billy realizes that’s the hardest part, maybe, that the details are rearranged. Discovers that maybe it is worse to see someone you care about hurt than hurt yourself. He cannot speak but maybe they know, maybe they can read it in his face because then Susan’s reaching up again, brushing gentle fingertips over his scabbed up knuckles until he relaxes the death grip on the jacket balled into his fist.
“If you decide you want to see Neil, I’ll walk you to the door,” Max offers.
“Thanks,” he manages, terse but sincere.
“And if you want to see him, Mom, I’ll—“
“I don’t,” Susan breaks in, vehement and almost nervous, hand retracting from Billy’s and clasping fast to the opposite above her chest, IV tube swinging again. “I don’t, Max, I really, really don’t.”
“Okay,” Max promises her immediately, gingerly draping an arm around her in a reassuring embrace. The closest to a hug she can manage. “You don’t have to. You never, ever have to see him again, Mom. If you don't want to, you don't have to and that's that. I won't let anyone make you.”
Susan’s eyes dart back and forth as she leans into Max as much as she can, releasing a shaky exhale. Billy’s taken his breaks. They finally got Max to take her break. He thinks maybe Susan needs a break too.
“You wanna see what’s on tv, Sue?” he suggests.
‘No news,’ Max mouths at him above her head. Billy blinks knowingly.
“Sure,” Susan agrees, relaxing and shifting a bit as Max lowers her arm. “Um...maybe the animal channel?”
“Yeah, okay. Let’s see what nature is up to.”

Since I've been asking mostly angst... how about AU AU Sana dealing with morning sickness and one of the triplets making sure she's okay. 🦄
With Sai, Sana barely had any morning sickness. With her oldest it was mainly just cravings and mood swings with the occasional nausea. She was a lot younger then, and she thought maybe that’s why her symptoms weren’t so bad. The triplets were a bit harder, and she did have more morning sickness than she did with Sai but it still wasn’t awful. It was just an adjustment to deal with pregnancy while having a baby already at the house but she got used to it after a while. But it certainly did help her nausea wasn’t too bad, as it made her feel like she was able to do more with Sai even when she was pregnant with the triplets. But with Nico, her morning sickness was terrible. She had it at least once a day, sometimes two or three times. She would sometimes go whole days where she couldn’t go out because she was so nauseous and sick she could barely move. She didn’t blame Nico, she was older when she had her and knew it was going to be rough. She just didn’t expect what she got.
Mina and Tzuyu were really helpful. They were good about knowing if Sana just needed some time in their room alone with the curtains drawn and maybe the tv on a low volume. They would bring her anything she needed but knew to stay out of her way no days like that. Sai was already gone so she never really took care of her mom muhc, but if she was home and her Ka-san and Mama weren’t she didn’t mind playing sire and cuddling or scenting her mom if she was clingy. She knew she wasn’t as good as her Ka-san and Mama but sometimes her mom just needed an alpha to hold her and Mina and Tzuyu couldn’t be there for whatever reason. Saki and Saya were still very young alphas, so Sai really didn’t mind being there for her mom when she needed her.
The triplets all just avoided their mom. They just had no idea what to do or what to say. They were fifteen. It was already an awkward age for them and now they had to throw a baby sister into the mix. They really had no clue what to do. Their parents just let them be mostly, but they would check on their mom occasionally. Sae would check up on her more frequently to make sure she was still okay, she was always worried about her mom. Saki would make Sana food if she was craving it, her and Eunji had done it for Momo during her pregnancy with Hina so she was familiar with it. Saya just avoided everything about her mom. She would come home late and leave early, rarely engaging in conversation about the baby when she was with her family. They all did notice how much their mom’s mood and ability to do certain things had changed, but they didn’t really talk about it much.
The morning sickness definitely brought some of the more obvious changes, at least in the beginning. Their mom, who was usually always there to greet them in the morning and kiss them at night, was now spending much more time in bed alone. Sometimes if she remembered she would text but her morning sickness just hit her super hard. And when it was really bad she wanted to be alone or with just her alphas. The triplets understood that and honestly all didn’t know what to do besides go along with it. There wasn’t much they could do, besides try and keep the house normal and functioning when their mom had to be in her room all day.
Saki would probably see her mother the most on those days. She always would personally deliver her food, wanting just to make sure her mom was okay. Her mom had always said she had a good heart, but Saki just wanted to make sure her mother was good.
“Mom?” Saki knocked on the door. “I brought some soup.” When she didn’t get an answer Saki decided to come in. Mina and Tzuyu were both gone so the triplets were alone in the house with their mom. Saki looked around the bedroom for her mom, putting her food down on the nightstand as she looked. She saw the bathroom door was open, and went in just to make sure her mom was okay. She hadn’t checked on her all day.
“S-Saki?” Saki found her mother next to the toilet. Sana ahd one hand holding it like a death grip and the other was on her stomach.
“Hey mom, I’ll go away if you need just saying I brought something to eat-”
“No-no, please stay.” Saki nodded, sitting on the floor next to her mother. The toilet was thankfully clean, and Saki was a bit relieved.
“Hey, you okay?” Saki took Sana’s free hand off her stomach, holding it tightly.
“No.” Sana sighed. “I’m so nauseous, I just can’t throw up.” Sana sighed. “I’ve been here for like twenty minutes.” “I’m sorry.” Saki squeezed her hand. “Usually you just throw up a lot.” “I know, normally morning sickness makes it violent and nonstop. This is worse though.” “Are you sure about that?” Saki giggled.
“Yeah, I just- I’ll feel better when I throw up.” Sana explained.
“Oh, I get it.” Saki nodded. “So are you going to try and force yourself to throw up or-” while Saki was talking Sana felt her nausea surge, bile rushing to the back of her throat. She felt bad cutting Saki off by throwing up and doing it in front of her poor child, but she couldn’t help it. Saki just held her hand and pulled her hair back, holding it for her. It lasted a while, Sana taking deep breaths occasionally before resuming. Saki just felt bad for her mom, morning sickness sucked and Saki was secretly thankful she would never get it.
When Sana was done she closed the lid on the toilet and immediately tried to get up to get some mouthwash. Saki nodded and made sure she stayed sitting, going to grab her mom some mouthwash and a cup to spit it out in. Her mom gurgled it a bit before spitting it out into the cup, Saki getting up and pouring it down the sink. When she went to check on her mom she found her crying.
“What’s wrong?” Saki asked.
“I’m sorry you had to see that baby.” Sana cried. She was crying mostly due to hormones, but she did feel bad.
“No, no. Mom it’s natural. I’ve seen people throw up before. It’s not pleasant but you can’t help it.” Saki nodded, pulling her mom into a hug.
“Thank you sweetie…” Sana sobbed on her daughter's shoulder. Saki was so good, so kind and pure hearted. It made her feel a lot better about Nico, knowing she had raised such a good kid. “I love you.” “I love you too mom.”

Shoto Todoroki- Cold Feet, Hot Head
REQUEST FROM PROMPT LIST- RIGHT HERE! (Assuming you want something off the prompt list )
Tumblr media
As and ye shall receive and just to be cute I’ll have some cute nicknames for him.
So this might not be true to the plot or whatever to the anime or manga so literally just suspend your disbelief...please. Please remember if you request a character portrayed as a teenager, they will be written as being over the legal age limit (18 where I live) especially if you request something NSFW related.
I wanted to give this such a serious vibe.
LEGGO!
...
“I want you to meet my mother.”
You looked up in shock at his words. Todo wanted you to...meet his mother?
“Me?..M-meet your mom? So soon?” you stammered. “A-are you sure?”
Yes, you had heard his story, how he got that burn mark of his face and while it infuriated you to know end, you knew that he wouldn’t want you to be. Sure it happened so long ago but was no excuse for harm. Especially on a boy no older than five. (or at least that’s how you felt.)
If he could forgive her, you could too....you guessed.
“Why wouldn’t I be?” he said in his usual collected voice. “I think there’s no time like the present.” he smiled, though there was a wavering uneasiness in his voice. You didn’t pry but you could tell that he was having trouble trying to sound convincing.
“...Okay.” you nodded. “Y-yeah let’s do it.” you tried to smile for him, to show him you were on board. You grabbed his hand reassuringly. “I know how to charm anybody.”
“Much like you’ve charmed me, Y/N.” he smiled, gently lifting your hand to his lips and kissing your knuckles. “What have I done to get so lucky to have met you?”
“I bumped into you in a hallway, my notebook fell open and you saw a diary entry where it explained my really stupid and embarrassing crush on you and when I tried to run away you followed me and-” you began, only to be cut off by him pecking you on the lips. “that happened...What were we talking about?” you asked.
“That’s what I thought.” he laughed, or at least his version of a laugh.
...
Now you were nervous. You had all weekend to prepare but in a way you were betting that jumping off a skyscraper was less panicky than this. Todoroki clutched your hand, seeing nervous as well.
The last thing he wanted to hear was that he had chosen poorly, not that it mattered to him, but even now all these years later, his mother’s opinion would mean everything to him.
“Sho...are you okay?” you raised an eyebrow. “Don’t tell me you’re getting cold feet?” you held onto his hand making him look down at you. You two were sitting next to each other in a local cafe. He had been eyeing his knuckles intensely, ike he couldn’t muster up the wits to look at the door for any sign of his mother.
“I’m okay, I’m just-” he cut himself off.
“Nervous?” you asked, making him nod. Well that sucked, you couldn’t be nervous at the same time he was! That’s a double nervous and that wouldn’t end well!
“Hey! No need to be nervous. I know how to make any adult love me.” you winked, hoping it would lift his spirits. “Plus, even if she didn’t..would that really stop us from being together?” you raised an eyebrow.
“Of course not.” he replied. He wouldn’t say that he prayed before he fell asleep the night before that his mother loved you as much as he did, but he had hoped, that her approval of you relationship would take your bond to the next level.
“Is that her?” You pointed to a white haired woman walking through the doors, smiling at the barista as she passed.
Shoto followed your eyes, his back becoming stiff as he mumbled a quick ‘yes.’
He got up and walked over to the woman and quite awkwardly gave her a hug. You pretended to be interested in a menu. You buried your nose in the menu, feeling your heart about to burst from your chest and scream “FREEEDOOMM”
You felt your boyfriend’s presence next to you, his arm wrapping around your shoulder.
“Um...Mother..This is the love of my life, Y/N.”
You lowered your menu and gazed into the silver haired woman’s eyes. You studied her face and couldn’t read it well. She didn’t speak for a bit but a smile spread on her face suddenly.
“I’ll be right back, I’ll go order for us.”
That little sneak! You stared at him in horror, as if to ask what the hell he ahd up his sleeve. He got up and walked over to the counter, standing in line.
You turned towards his mother, there was a twinkle in her eyes.
“So you’re the lovely Y/N I’ve been hearing about?” she leaned her elbows on the table. “My Shoto said you were beautiful but I didn’t expect you to be so-” she stopped herself from speaking. “So stunning.”
“Really? He said that about me?” you asked, turned your head to see him staring intently at the menu.
“He’s told me many things about you, including his future plans.” she replied. “You make my son very happy, do you know that?”
“The feeling’s mutual. He makes me really happy too.” you smiled. “He’s made my life an adventure, that’s for sure.” you stared down at your fingers.
“Do you love him?” she asked, making you look up. Her face had gone serious. “Because I’m sure that he loves you.”
“...If I were to name all the reasons I love your son, I think I’d bore you to sleep.” you chuckled.
“Then I adore you already.” she grabbed your hand which you hadn’t realized was shaking. “I’m sure you’re the first to break that shell of his in a while.”
You didn’t know what to say, you didn’t want to say anything that could set apart the mood.
“Your silence tells me that you know what happened all those years ago? I was in a horrible place at that time.” she looked down. “I hated myself for doing what I did. I would never intentionally harm my son for any reason. I was broken and so deep in my own hatred of that monster that-”
“You snapped.” you finished, causing her to nod sadly. “I know the feeling.”
“How can you say that-”
“Your son and I have a lot more in common than you think.” you smiled sadly. “I won’t bore you with the details.”
“You know when he was walking with me to the table, he looked at you as if you were his word?” she commented. “As if he would give up anything and everything for you.”
“How do you-”
“I’m a mother...I know these things.” she giggled. You looked at your boyfriend who was now the front in line, ordering for all three of you.
“He’s my world too.” you finally said. “Thanks for...y’know approving of me Miss.-”
“Rei, call me Rei.” she cut you off.
You were about to speak again when you saw a plate of your favorite food be set down in front of you.
“Sorry it took so long.” he sat down with his and his mothers plates as well.
“We don’t mind, we were just talking.” Rei looked at her son. “You sure roped in a good one...I’d keep her if I were you.” she smiled. “I can tell she makes you happy.”
“Trust me..I plan of keeping her near me for as long as possible.”
“Good, I know you make her happy too..so you two better take care of eachother. The world needs to see what a beautiful couple you two make.”
Todoroki sighed with relief, knowing his mother has showed her approval made him happy.
“See, I told you this would go well, IcyHot.” you kissed his cheek.
“Must you call me that?” Todoroki turned red, looking embarrassed. “You know how i feel about that name.”
“Icyhot?” his mother repeated a smile teasing her face. “Is that some kind of nickname?”
“He hates when I call him that but that’s exactly why I do it.” you laughed.
“Any other names I should know about?” Rei asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Freezer Burn.” you instantly said. “He hates that one too. Half and Half, red velvet cake, half old man...”
“Frost-Fire?” she suddenly said, making you burst out laughing.
“Oh that’s a good one! Can I use that one??”
Todoroki smiled as his two favorite women in the world laughed together even if ti was to make fun of him, it made him pat the tiny black box in his pocket with determination and anticipation. He knew he was ready now and he couldn’t wait to see your face when he asked you the question that’s been on his mind since he first told you he loved you.
(I feel like I left so many questions unanswered...OH WELL *RUNS AWAY DABBING* )

Chap. 1 “Cruciatu”, Chap. 3 “Ipsum Invenies”
Tumblr media
The sun is in its highest point when you hear the sirens, but you didn’t move, you stayed laying there in the ground until the paramedic got close, you see his mouth moving, but you can’t make out any words, two more people come and they get you in a stretcher, suddenly you’re in an ambulance, but you stay still, you haven’t even bothered in moving your eyes, you’re staring at nothing, blank thoughts, going through everything you’ve lived and how it lead you to where you are right now.
You get to the hospital, they get you in clean clothes and set you in a bed, it’s the first time you feel a soft surface under your back, you fall asleep almost immediately, you hadn’t realized just how tired you are. The sleep is restless, you see images of everything you saw flashing behind your eyelids, you see the uber driver’s eyes, you feel his kicking in your body, you remember the metal bands in your wrists and ankles, the green syringe, the pain burning in your veins. You feel the water coming through your nose. All at once.
Someone grabs you by the shoulders, they hold you firmly while another set of hands find their way to your forearm, you fight against those hands. Then you finally open your eyes to see a doctor holding you along with two nurses trying to set an IV on you. You breathe in and calm down a little. It’s their job, they’re only trying to help, so you let them.
The sedative works fast, before you know it you’re fast asleep once again, but you don’t have nightmares. Now you’re remembering the smell of pancakes in a sunday morning back home, your mother caressing your hair in movie nights, your little brother cuddling with you in your bed while you tell him a bed time story, you remember the feeling of pressing the shutter of your camera, being happy with a photograph, you remember the laughing with your friends while you drink a beer or maybe two, you dream with all the good you have had and you rest.
“She slept all day yesterday and still hasn’t woken up, I’m worried because we haven’t been able to identify her yet.” The murmur of voices wakes you from your peaceful sleep, you open your eyes a little. A doctor and a policeman are standing in front of your bed, you open your eyes completely. You get worried now.
“Oh, you’re awake! Nice. Do you mind if we ask you some questions now?” the doctor asks you with caution, you only nod your head and adjust your position so you’re sitting on the bed. “Do you know what’s your name?”
“(Y/N) (Y/L/N)” You answer with a weak voice.
“It’s nice to meet you. Do you know where you are?”
“A hospital?”
“Yes. Do you know how you got here?”
You answer negatively with your head. “I remember…” Your voice dissapears as all the memories come flashing to your head once again. You go on to explaining what you had to live through, and you realize just how terribly it damaged you when you break down crying and are unable to tell the whole story.
The doctor asks a few more questions about the uber driver, all through the while the policeman stays quiet arms crossed over his chest and just nodding the head. But you stay crying, sobbing while trying to explain your rape experience. Losing it when you remember how he treated you as nothing more than a trash bag.
You don’t tell them about the injection. And they don’t ask you how you got to the lake.
“Look, little girl. I need you to tell me how the guy looked but if you can’t tell me that, then I can’t help you. And you need to present a formal accusation towards someone. If you cannot do that, then I’m just gonna have to assume you weren’t raped.” The policeman talks down to you, firm and condescending. Not even a shed of empathy in his voice. “Oh, and you need to call someone. I don’t think you can pay the medical bill on your own.” And with that, he left the room. The doctor looked as shocked as you were, but no one said anything.
Yo wanted to cry, but you couldn’t. A few days went by after your talk with the policeman and you still hadn’t called anyone, and the man never came back to ask any more questions. Were your parents even notified of your dissapearence? You know your roomate must know, because of the text, but does she know you’re okay? You drop the topic when you get a headache and decide to take a nap.
Eventually even the doctor and the nurses stop coming around you, they don’t even bother in changing your IV until you complain about it and just then you decide it’s time to call someone. But not your family, you don’t know why, but you don’t want to deal with them right now, so you call someone you know can handle the bill and won’t make any kind of questions. Your ex boyfriend.
“I need you to come pick me up. I’m in the hospital… And I also kinda need you to pay for it. I’ll pay you back when I can.”
“Of course, you don’t have to pay me anything. I’m on my way. Wanna tell me what happened?”
“I really don’t wanna talk about it.”
“Okay, that’s fine.”
“Thank you.”
Sebastian comes about an hour later, but they wouldn’t let you go until the next morning, considering it was late at night. You didn’t speak to anyone before leaving, not even the doctor. Not really, he just signed you off and let you go. When you get to your apartment you really don’t feel like you want to be there, not for now, but luckily Sebastian offers you to stay at his place, so you do.
You didn’t even let him sleep in the same space as you. You wanted the couch, but he insisted you’d stay in the bed and he took the couch, but still you couldn’t really sleep. You tossed and turned all night. It’s past 5am when you get up, you dress in the outfit Sebastian bought for you to leave the hospital and you get out of the room, he’s still asleep, lightly snoring from the couch. You go to the door and open it as silently as you possibly can and you’re met with the hallway. His apartment complex is way different than your own. His is more luxurious and to start with, it even has an elevator which made your runaway easier.
Once you’re outside, you walk. You’re not sure where you’re going, but you walk in a straight line, following the sidewalk until you find a bus stop, you then sit and stare at the cars passing by, and you think. You think about what you’ve left behind, you don’t think it’s possible to be who you were before the accident, but you ought to do something, you can’t hide for the rest of your life. Your thoughts are interrupted when you feel something. You look at the street and you notice the car that’s coming is not slowing down even though there’s a lady crossing the street.
You don’t know how, but next thing you know is that you’re holding the lady and you’re both safe in the sidewalk, you let her go, she’s looking at you confused, almost scared and she gives you a weak smile before she leaves you standing there alone. You look around frantically and start running back to Sebastian’s place.
“SEBASTIAN, SOMETHING IS VERY WRONG WITH ME!!” You hadn’t noticed, but you were crying.
“What? No, nothing is wrong with you, you’re fine. I’m here. I’m here.” He holds you and you cry in his arms, you try to make words, but it’s useless, you don’t even know how to explain everyhting that’s going on, you don’t know how you did what you did, but it’s true that you’ve been feeling different since you woke up in the hospital. The world looks different and maybe it’s not just scarring from the experiences you lived through, maybe something did happen and it made your senses shoot up a hundred times and it made the world look like it would through a wide range lense in a camera. But what?
“I wanna go home.” You tell Sebastian, he looks at you and nods, gets some clothes on, gets his keys ahd you get going. He also walks you to the door of your apartment and waits until your roomate’s opened the door to leave. When your roomie finally sees you she throws herself over you and starts crying.
“I thought you were dead! Why didn’t the police call? Your parents are worried sick!”
“You told my parents?!” you get a little annoyed at that.
“Of course I did, were you expecting me to not say anything?! You were gone for TWO WEEKS! And your phone was sending straight to voice mail and there were no signs of you still being alive on social media, so your parents called, what was I gonna say? That you were in the toilet and couldn’t come to the phone for two weeks?!” You walk in the apartment and you think.
You cannot find a good excuse to not call your parents, but what are you gonna tell them? What are they gonna think of you? At this point you’ve realized no authority in the government is making an effort to look for you or the person that did this to you. Everything would be way easier if you had died. Why didn’t you die in the lake? How were you able to undo the knots on the lake but couldn’t act when the driver abused you? Why were you not given any real treatment in the hospital? It was always sedatives and things to keep you hydrated. Why don’t you have any bruise or wound from the incidents you had? How were you able to do that thing to save the lady this morning, when she was fairly away from you, in front of a moving vehicle, while you were having an emotional crisis? Why does the world look different? Why can you hear your neighbors moving around in their apartment? Why did you feel the danger aproaching the lady?
But then efverything falls in place, as if you were playing Tetris all this time.
The green injection.
Peter keeps going back to the place where he found the body everyday after his night patrol, hoping to see a clue. He has the news of all over the world notifications on, he even gave explicit orders to KAREN of tracking any information that pops up on the topic, even Ned is doing some research about it, but no one has anything yet. Maybe Mr. Stark is right and he should just stay away, what can an 18 year old do about this? He can’t even find a lead clue.
A notification from his phone is sent directly to the AI of his suit while he shoots a spiderweb to a building to move around the city. “KAREN show me that, please.”
“With pleasure, Peter.” and a second later he’s seeing a news article that says: Dead body of a student is found. It shows signs of torture. “According to the article the biopsy showed some strange substances that burned all the blood from the body. Peter, this is one of the cases you’ve been looking for. Should I call Mr. Stark?”
“NO!” He rushed to reply. “I mean, no… let me check it out and see the circumstances and then I’ll give him a call, cool KAREN?”
“You’re the boss Pete.”

Conniving
“We should get the blue one.”
Bickslow considered this, standing there, like a presentable and upstanding member of society, as Lisanna stood beside him, an actual presentable and upstanding member of society, not considering at all. No. Because she’d already made a declaration and that was final.
But she’d said it in such a way that presented a debate. Or at least room left for negotiation. As they stood before the couch in the tiny shop, it would be easy to give in. Lay down. Let her walk all over him. In their first joint venture since moving in together.
But oh, Evergreen had warned him about this.
Man, had she warned him.
“The Strauss siblings are conniving, vindictive, idiotic little shits who would do anything to destroy us from the inside out,” the woman told him quite bitterly, honestly, just that very afternoon when they all met at Freed’s apartment to discuss an upcoming set of jobs they were planning on undertaking. As the rune mage feared, this was more a suggestion than a set plan as, frequently now, a gathering without the Strauss siblings was less a Thunder Legion group meeting and more a shit on whichever Strauss they were all on the outs with. For Evergreen, who was the one constantly on the outs, it varied, but she was happy, always, to just make it the trio. “Especially Lisanna.”
“And this,” Freed sighed, not sure why he was getting involved, at all, “has nothing to do with the fact that you and Elfman-”
“We were never dating so I don’t know what you’re implying, but no, you cannot break up if you were never together, so why are you even talking, Freed? If you’re going to spread such filthy, disgusting rumors?”
Bickslow just sat there, at the rune mage’s kitchen table with the now glaring at one another duo, before asking, “So what you’re sayin’ here is that the kid, man, she’s an untrustworthy one, huh? Probably gonna pull the wool right over my eyes.”
“I honestly couldn’t care less,” Freed told him truthfully, just wishing to put the whole thing to bed already. Finally.
“Conniving,” Evergreen ended and, well, Bickslow wasn’t too sure what conniving meant, but he knew he didn’t like the sound of it.
See, him and the kid, Lisanna, heh, definitely not a kid, but it felt like that, in someways. Like they were both kids. Again. Together. See, well, Bickslow was a bit of a fuck up at times. That’s how Evergreen put it and he even heard the boss, Laxus, that sly man, he’d mutter it sometimes too, under his breath. Never Freed, nope, not once, but he was sure he thought it too.
Bickslow didn’t hold it against anyone. No. He knew.
He really was a fuck up.
It was just something inside of him. It had always been there. A little gnawing in the back of his mind that always insisted, hey, you know, things are going great, smooth as a seal, but what if...now hear it out...what if...things just didn’t? Like you did one little thing that caused the whole tower to crumble? Wouldn’t that be fun, Bickslow, do you think? If we tumbled to the whole thing? One fell swoop and everything gone! Vanished! Vamoose! All it took was some annoying here, some creeping there, and bam, you would have an entire situation crafted by your witty hands to watch burn slowly to the wretched ground.
Being the good guy all the time, all the damn time, all the fucking time, was just so draining and unnecessary, really, because you could do little things, couldn’t you? Little tiny things that hardly affected anything at all, really, but were probably not leaning towards the lighter side of things on the big spectrum wheel of life, but that was alright, really, when you thought about it, because even if you did some bad things, you just had to do loads more back, to at least keep the needle somewhere in the middle.
He was a dark knight.
Noble and concerned with the good of the realm, but dabbling in things that maybe the ol’ king forbade, fine, but he didn’t mean you, Bickslow, did he? Laws didn’t pertain to someone who was so gallant in other ways, did they? So long as you did enough good, a little bad here or there didn’t hurt anyone.
Or did it?
Who the fuck cared?
More world to burn if it did.
Bickslow was on a slipper tightrope, tussled between the good thoughts and the bad. Evergreen knew this, oh man, if anyone knew it, it was her, and also enjoyed abusing it. It was just so easy for her to get in there, in his mind, it was just one, long, continuous series of trap doors and she could stop off anywhere, inside of it, pick a spot any spot and have him believe whatever she wanted him to believe.
And that day she wanted him to believe that Lisanna was out to get him.
“Do not, and I mean it, Bickslow, do not let her just walk all over you,” the woman insisted to him, earlier that day, as Freed only sighed and resounded to the fate of never having anything properly planned for anymore because of, all people, the Strauss siblings. The horror. “She’s going to try it. You know. They all do. Strausses are the worst of the worst.”
“Which is why you dated one for-”
“We never dated, Freed!”
“I don’t think the kid is that bad,” Bickslow muttered and his babies, who floated all about his head, didn’t feel this way at all.
“Mama’s great,” they insisted to him. “Papa. Mama’s great.”
“Who are you going to believe?” Evergreen asked with a glare at the wooden thing. “Me? Or your imaginary friends?”
“Well...when you put it like that… Probably my dolls because they’re not imaginary, Ever! They’re clearly right in front of you! Can you believe this woman, babies? Gets broken up with once and things she can end the monopoly on Strausses.”
“I did not get broken up with!”
Not that it mattered. She’d planted a seed in his head and the way that the kid said that, there, in the shop, all commanding like that. Over which could they should have. In their shared, new apartment. Like she had some kind of say so just because she was the one actually buying it and he wasn’t hardly contributing anything, really, to the costs of anything at all, really, and wow, wasn’t that controlling? He felt like that was pretty controlling of her, to just let him blow his jewels on booze and smokes while she paid for the apartment and it’s upkeep. Pretty conniving.
Maybe.
He’d yet to peep a dictionary on that one, but he was pretty sure it was.
“I,” he told Lisanna, who was not looking for opinions, at all, “like the red one. Actually.”
And he held his head up high, visor glinting in the sunlight, and when he felt the woman’s eyes on him, he refused to break, even as the babies cheered for the color blue because they liked blue, it matched their pretend mother’s eyes.
“Okay.”
He deflated some.
“Okay?”
“Well, yeah.” Lisanna was already walking over to it then, on the other side of the shop. “I don’t really care, either way. It was just that Mirajane said blue was better because it would match the rugs she’s going to give us, but who cares? Right? So-”
“But you said blue.”
“And you said red.”
“Well...now I want blue.”
“Why?”
“Because… Lisanna, are you conniving?”
“What do you mean?”
He wished he knew.
“Do you want,” she asked him with a frown, “the red or the blue? Bickslow? Because-”
“Whatever you want.” He sighed down at his feet. “I guess. Lissy.”
“The blue then.”
“Okay.”
Later that night, when they ahd everyone over to their place, Mirajane was ecstatic to see how nicely it matched the rugs. Bickslow though felt like a failure and, with his head bowed, he went to Evergreen to report as such.
“Uh, Ever-”
“Can you not see,” she complained as he came over to where she was actually seated on the couch, half draped over Elfman’s lap, “that I’m talking to someone?”
“Well, just Elfman.”
“Hi,” Elfman greeted with a wave. “Did the place come smelling so smokey? Or- Oh, no, I see your ashtray is overflowing, on the coffee table. Already. Didn’t you just move in a couple day-”
“Do you think,” Bickslow spoke right over him and instead to Evergreen, “that maybe conniving could actually mean something that you don’t think that conniving means? Or maybe you were just wrong with using it in the first place? Or oh, man, hey, do you think this couch would look better if it was weirdly shapen and red? Or was this blue one nice?”
“Fuck,” Ever told him, reaching up to toy with her glass, “off.”
And well, yeah, he was in his own apartment (well, Lisanna's, which he was moving into), but he heeded her warning.
“Oi, boss,” he sighed as he found Laxus in the kitchen with Freed, who was trying to explain to the former that, once more, his meetings had been overrun with Strauss nonsense and look, here came some more. “Do you know what conniving means?”
“I look like a fucking dictionary? Huh? Bickslow?” Laxus was not in a good mood. But then who was? When they got drug over to their girlfriend’s little sister’s apartment on the one your first night back in town after a super hard job? “And what’s this I hear about you and Ever not listening to Freed? If you don’t plan for jobs, what are you gonna do? How up unprepared?”
“It’s kinda my thing,” the seith admitted as Freed merely groaned because, yes, it very much so was.
“You and Evergreen are so messed up in the head, just from dating those two Strausses,” Laxus told him with a frown. “You know that? Can’t even think about nothing else anymore. Why is that? Huh?”
“Because they’re poisoning their minds.”
When both Bickslow and Laxus looked at Freed, he bowed his head some.
“Just a remnant of Ever’s tirade, from before,” he assured them. “Now that she’s back with Elfman, I’m sure we won’t hear it again.”
Until, well, they were officially off again.
But right now they are on and life was good.
Unless you wanted to plan for upcoming jobs…
“Boss, you’re datin’ one too,” Bickslow pointed out to the man and Laxus snorted around his beer can.
“Mira ain’t a Strauss,” he told him darkly. “She’s a Dreyar in training.”
And oh, Freed missed the old Laxus too.
If he could go back in time and do anything, it would be to stop the joining of their two houses. The Strausses and Thunder Legion did not belong together.
Clearly.
“Hey, boss, that’s real cute. You tell that one to your woman yet?”
Fuck no.
Then she might actually wanna have that serious conversation about marriage again that he did not want to even think about. It made his stomach sick.
Or maybe it was all the beer he’d been guzzling since arriving.
Mmmm...nope.
“Lisanna’s not using you, Bickslow. For anything.” Freed grimaced some as he said, “If anything, you’re kind of the one using her.”
“How do you figure?”
“What part of the rent are you paying?”
“Well… I picked out the couch.”
A poison. They truly were. Freed didn’t agree with Evergreen on much in those days, but surely that.
Sighing, Freed asked, “Don’t you guys ever think fo inviting anyone else? To these? Or gatherings?”
“Fuck no.” And Laxus was walking on then, when he heard Mirajane calling for him in the other room. “Hate everyone else even more than I hate all of you.”
“I love ya too, boss.” Bickslow beamed as he disappeared out of the kitchen. To Freed though, Bickslow only said, “But if we invited other people, then we all couldn’t hang out. Together.”
“Yes.” Freed only ran a hand over his face with a long sigh. “That’s quite the point.”
Alone in the kitchen now, Bickslow was actually kind of glad when Lisanna came to join him. She brought his dolls, anyways, who’d taken to following her around that evening. As they both sat together, on the counter of their apartment, sharing a drink while he smoked, Lisanna looked at him with a curious glance.
“So are you gonna tell me what’s been up with you? Today? Or are you just kind of freaked about this whole living together thing?”
Shrugging some, Bickslow said, “I just… Well, you’d tell me, wouldn’t ya? If you were tricking me? Lying to me? Using me?”
“I mean, probably not,” she admitted slowly and he nodded because, yes, that didn’t sound like something someone would do in that situation. “But… I can tell you honestly right now I’m not. If it makes you feel better.”
“Only if you promise not to destroy the Thunder Legion from the inside out.”
It was a bit too late, but she held up her pinky anyways and, well, you can’t break a promise that wasn’t whole to begin with.

The crimes of Grindelwald Review *Spoilers*
So I saw the movie Crimes of Grindelwald a few weeks ago and now that I have had some time to think about the movie and others have had a chance to see it, I wanted to share my thoughts on it. Keep in mind there are going to be spoilers. Also that these are my personal thoughts, so I may not be getting the popular vote on it. I may add more thoughts after I go see the movie again.I am also a fairly big fan of Harry Potter but I would not say I’m the biggest fan in the sense that I know there are many small details that I don’t remember from the series, which may affect my review as there may have been things I missed. Also I am going to be speaking about the things I didn’t like first before moving onto the good, and I want to say first and foremost that overall I enjoyed the movie and the Fantastic Beasts series. I just feel that certain things could have been handled better. *spoilers*
So here it goes in no particular order for the things I didn’t like:
I think the biggest thing for me was McGonagall. About halfway through the movie you see members from the ministry of magic come to Hogwarts to talk to Professor Dumbledore and interrupt one of his classes. Professor Dumbledore sends his students with a young female Scottish professor named Professor McGonagall. You later see her again in a flash back when Newt and Leta were students at Hogwarts. This Professor McGonagall’s first name was never stated but it is heavily implied that it is Minerva McGonagall, especially that as far as I know there were no other female witches on her father’s side that would have been able to be a professor in 1937, let alone when Newt was a student, as he was a muggle. This bugged me as Minerva McGonagall from the original series talks about certain events within her life in which, once you did the math means that she would have been born in the 1930′s (1935?) way after the events of the movie. Although her presence in this movie is not a large one and could be see as a nod for the fans of the original series, J.K. Rowling herself wrote the movie. She generally does not make big mistakes like this and usually does everything for a reason, which leads me to believe that she put the character there for a reason which will be explained in the next movie. Despite this I still find it very odd, especially considering the character was only there for two scenes and for any audience member who was not a huge fan of Harry Potter and did not have a general idea of Harry Potter timeline, her presence in this movie would have been insignificant, so most likely not have payed attention to her if there is some big reveal later on in the next movie.
The next thing that I found odd (although I know it is done a lot in other movies and tv shows) was the whole miscommunication between Tina and Newt about Newt’s relationship with Leta, which ended up driving part of the movies plot. I could understand why the journalist could have misconstrued who Leta was engaged to as in the photo in the article she was standing awfully close to Newt and most people who are announcing their engagement stand next to the person who they are engaged to. But I do not understand why the journalist could why Tina just shut down and basically ran away from Newt. I get that she was hurt by the thought of someone she loved was not honest with her and people tend to not think right when they are emotional. Despite this would she have not stopped and wonder why Newt had not stopped and mentioned to her in any of their communication between the end of the first movie and when the article came out. In the first movie she is briefly mentioned and it is clear that Newt does have some feelings for Leta, but that they are not together. It is also clear by the end of the movie that he has strong feelings for Tina and that at some point between movies he sends Tina his book and presumably have been sending letters to each other back and forth. Newt does not strike me as someone who would intentionally lead anyone on and I am sure that Tina would have come to the same conclusion. If Newt had actually gotten together with Leta, he most likely would have mentioned it in a letter to Tina way before an engagement would have happened. The whole ting could have been fixed if Tina had decided to ask Newt about it, to ask if she ahd misinterpreted their interactions, as putting her aside seems very uncharacteristic of Newt. It could have also been fixed by Newt at any point saying Leta was dating and then engaged to his brother way before the article came out, as the whole dating and then getting engaged would have happened long before the article came out. And the two presumably would have been sharing life events in their letters. I think this storyline is interesting in many other contexts, especially when used as a comedic device in TV shows and movies, but was frustrating for this movie because it caused a lot of unnecessary miscommunications and I feel like J.K. Rowling could have handled that part of the movie better.
Nagini: ok this is a double edged sword as I enjoyed seeing her in the movie and I enjoyed getting a back story as to her blood curse, but I don’t really think she played a major part in the movie past being some emotional support and being someone to bounce ideas off of for Credence. Like most of the movie I think would have still happened if she wasn’t there. That maybe controversial but that’s just the way I think. I’m not saying they should have taken her out, as like I said, it was interesting to learn about her. I am also curious to see if they explain how she eventually ends up with Voldemort because she seems genuinely scared and appalled by Grindelwald. When Credence goes to join Grindelwald she doesn’t follow and seems disappointed that he went. I don’t know why someone who was opposed to one dark wizard would join another dark wizard roughly 60 years later.
I have mixed feelings about Queenie joining Grindelwald. I completely understand why she joined. She wanted something and he offered it to her and he is compelling speaker. But I feel like she went to quickly. Like she is adamant that he’s bad at the beginning and then within a span of two minutes she changes her mind. I feel that considering he knew what she wanted and he was so charismatic, maybe they could have spent more time showing someone good doing something bad for ‘good’ or rather reasons they see as ‘good’ reasons, as it is something that does and has happened. I just wish with Queenie who is a very strong willed and fiery woman they would have had her fight a little more. I get she would do anything to be with the man she loves, but she would also do anything for the sister she loves. Despite the fact that her and Tina are fighting at the beginning doesn’t change the fact that once she and Jacob fight, she forgets all about her fight with Tina and tries to find her. In the first movie she wasn’t afraid to threaten a ministry member to get what she wanted to save her sister. She naturally will always gravitate to her sister, so I would have liked to see her battle more wither love for her sister and her love for her man.
The ending! I do think that Grindelwald was lying as far as Credence’s relationship to ALbus Dumbledore. Grindelwald is the definition of the unreliable narrator. He says things to fit his narrative. Not to mention that with the death of his mother and his father in prison, another Dumbledore child was not possible. It’s just really confusing with the phenix coming to him after we hear that a a phenix will always come to a Dumbledore in need. I mean this all could come to a technicality in the sense that Grindelwald uses a phrase along the lines of giving Credence a name, so it could be considered some from a legally changing a name or adoption, in which Credence is not technically a Dumbledore by blood but Grindelwald goes and legally changes Credence’s name and not tell him in order to get him to think that he is a Dumbledore. But in that instance I don’t know if changing names legally would still allow the phoenix to show up. If it does turn out in the next movie that Credence is a Dumbledore biologically, I feel that it is similar to the McGonagall situation of Rowling changing what was already written.
Things I liked:
I was surprisingly pleased by Johnny Depp’s portrayal of Grindelwald. Although I was not as upset as some people when it was announced he would be taking on the role, I was a bit on the fence. I enjoy him as an actor, but rightfully or not I always kind of see him as the funny character like Captain Jack Sparrow or Willy Wonka, and rarely as a mastermind like Grindelwald. But I think he pulled it off really well and he showed just how compelling a bad guy can be, how he can sound good to many different people, twisting words and using events to his advantage.
I loved all the beasts explored within this movie and seeing Newt’s basement. It was like a whole world that had not been explored before and I’m glad they showed it.
I like how the movie kept you guessing on who Credence was. I felt a little bit like Credence in the sense that as soon as I thought there was an answer to his identity, something would happen that would prevent him from getting his answer or the answer would be wrong. I always like being kept on my toes, so I really enjoyed that way of presenting the story.
I really enjoyed Leta. I loved seeing her background and things she struggled with at Hogwarts and seeing the things that tormented her during her life. I also liked that despite having troubled backstory she was not in her core a bad person and she even goes as far as to sacrifice herself to save others. She is one of those characters that based on her backstory I would not have been surprised if she turned bad, but she didn’t. And I really like how they choose to make it ambiguous as to who she is saying ‘I love you’ to in her final moments. Like part of me wants to know for sure, but it also allows us as the audience to guess among ourselves. And I believe small guessing games are always fun, especially among fandoms.

Day 2 Rainbow/Pets
Day two of this
read it here or on AO3
It starts out innocently enough, a trip into the mall for lunch, then a spot of window browsing to kill some time before work requires all the energy she has and then some. Maria ends up at the pet store with the intention of grabbing some more cat food for Liho, but by the time she’s made her way around the little shop her mind has been overtaken by a little (big) resident in the store window. What looks like a golden retriever mix who’s gotten too big for his enclosure.
Maria wanders over to the counter where there’s a short brunette slouched in a chair scrolling through her phone. She startles when Maria puts Lihos food on the desk.
“Ah, um, is that, is that everything for today?” she says, flustered.
“Yeah. Actually, forgive me for the cliché but, how much is the dog in the window?”
“Oh that’s Theddison, he’s actually “free” for the next day or so, we don’t have a lot of space so we’re trying to find a home for him. Otherwise he’ll have to go to a shelter,” she frowns, “I thought I could help animals in this job, turns out I just get a closer seat to the problem.”
Maria frowns, she and Natasha had considering another pet but Theddison was big and their apartment was...not.
“It’s just such a shame they won’t do the work to find a no kill shelter for him,” she continues “just because he outgrew his pen, I keep giving them names but they won’t pay the “fees” god I hate the corporations so much I just argh!” she slumps back into her chair before seeming to realize she still hadn’t scanned the bag of food.
“Why don’t you take him?” Maria asks.
“Me? Oh no no no no no no, Jane would flip she can’t have any animals near her precious ‘science’, it really would be unsafe for him around all the experiments, and I can’t afford rent in this city by myself, hi I’m Darcy by the way,” she finishes her rant and extends her hand over the counter.
“Maria, nice to meet you,” they shake and Maria pays. As she’s leaving Theddison, scratches at the window, boops his enormous nose against the glass and licks his lips. She gives him a quiet “sorry bud” before heading back to work.
That night as they’re sitting with dinner she brings up the idea of a dog with Natasha, she mentions the pet shop and Theddison, how they’ll have to ship him off to a shelter just because he grew to big. Natasha listens intently, as she always does, nods and mmhms at the appropriate moments but does stay quieter than usual when Maria’s finished.
“Maria, you know I love you but this might be taking things a bit fast. You only found out about this dog, what? 6 hours ago? And now you want to bring him home, is this place really big enough for him?” Nat really does look concerned and despite the urge to argue last minute rescues Maria concedes the point.
“You’re right, I know life’s not perfect, and there’s just some things we can’t fix,” Natasha nods and moves around the table to give her girlfriend a hug.
Nat looks down at Liho who has taken up temporary residence on her feet and is purring softly. Right, life's hard, some things can never happen.
X
Maria decides to go to the pet store again after her shift, maybe see Theddison once more, but to her dismay the window lies empty when she gets there. She hurries inside and finds Darcy the same as she had yesterday; feet propped up on the desk, scrolling through her phone. To her credit she does not nearly fall off her chair when Maria approaches this time.
“Hey, Maria right?”
“That would be me, where’s Theddison?”
“Aww you just missed him some one came to collect him maybe an hour ago?” she looks at the floor and shuffles from foot to foot.
“Oh. Okay, I uh, I guess I’ll see you around.”
“Oh definitely,” Maria gives her a confused glance but doesn’t think much of it.
As Maria turns out on the the street she hits speed dial one on her phone and Natasha picks up not two rings later.
“Hey, what’s up?”
“I went to see Theddison,” She sighs “they took him already” she can hear the phone shift as Natasha composes her next words.
“Aw, that’s...I’m sorry, I know you wanted to help. Tell you what, you get back to the apartment ASAP and we can watch funny tv and eat ice cream yeah?”
“Yeah that’s sounds good, thanks, love you.”
“Love you too, see you soon.” It’s not the best day she’s ever had but as Maria ends the call she can feel a small smile creep across her face as she hurries the last 3 blocks home.
X
Having spent the last ten minutes thinking about poor Theddison locked up in a cage on his way to a shelter, it comes as a great surprise when he comes barreling into her wearing a rainbow cape and bow tie as Maria opens the front door.
“Oh My Go- oof” Maria’s interrupted by the surdy ball off rainbows and fluff.
“Teddy!” Natasha appears from around the corner and ruffles the puppy’s hair.
“Nat! What the hell?! Why is Theddison sitting in the enrty way in a rainbow cape?!”
“Well…” and so Natasha explained how she had skipped work after calling Steve about bringing in an office dog, to which he ahd replied some very Steve-esque polite version of ‘oh my god I can’t wait!’ Then she had gone to the pet store and picked up Theddison (who she has been calling Teddy ever since) talked Darcy into not spilling the beans on that surprise and, waited for Maria’s call and subsequent arrival home.
“The rainbows were just because he wouldn't leave them alone and this seemed like the best option” the dog in question chuffs at that, and proceeds to spin around in an apparent show of his new accessory.
“But , I thought, doesn’t he need space?” Maria looks worried so Natasha pushes the dog closer, the brunettes hand automatically starts petting the soft ball of fur.
“We don’t live on a top floor apartment, he’ll get a lot of walking on his way to work, there's a lot of room at my work for him to move, and Clint has agreed to let us bring him up to the farmhouse when we go. So, what do you say?”
Maria just starts laughing. This brings Liho around the corner to investigate which is when Maria stops to gather Natasha and their two pets into a giant hug on the floor of their entry way. She knows life’s not perfect but this seems pretty damn close.

Ahhhhh I love how you put everything right!!!! I wish I had enjoyed the scene so bad but Kelly's call made me feel so so bad and I was really mad at Jonah for that. But the scene was so beautiful with Heartbeats playing. I miss Garrett I want to know what's up with him and I miss him and Dina and Cheyenne!!! I had so much feelings lol like I was in love with the scene but so mad too. Kelly deserves better and it shouldn't be this way!! You explained it perfectly!
Ah I’m really glad to see you agree!!! I was really torn by the end of the episode because aside from the kelly call, that golf scene was just perfect??they’ve both spent the day the together and are a little drunk and they’re touching and amy doesn’t mind and makes jonah at ease and they make each other laugh and for once we get amy telling jonah “who cares about the rules just do it for the fun!” and any second where they laugh and smile together is like blessed and beautiful and it was such a good scene, I wished we had gotten more because it was everything I loved about them and more
but why why why are they doing this to kelly? they never showed us adam being sad for amy not calling him back and he was always annoying anyway but now they’re clearly making us feel bad for kelly and like it’s not nice!!! make it stop, everything about jonah and kally is just wrong now, also you’re right, it makes us mmad at jonah, it paints him in a bad light. I like that he prioritizes amy often but not when it’s to mistreat another woman
and I completely agree with you about the other characters! cheyenne has been really absent this season and didn’t really have any arc compared to the previous seasons. I really liked her moments with mateo but I wished we ahd a bit more of her and bo or her and her education. As for Dina, how is the pregancy going? I want to know more! we got nothing since she got pregant when I’m sure some crazy stuffs might’ve happened in the first months and now she’s already showing! and garrett doesn’t really do anything now I feel, I’ve rewatched season 1 and 2 and he felt much more present in these and I really really miss him and dina!! at the end of season 2 I was really happy with where tehy were at, recognizing the emotional component to sex and being glad that the other wasn’t dead and now it’s like it never happened? even with no hint of sexual activity/tension/awkwardness I’d love to get more scenes with them! they’re hilarious
please less jonah hurting kelly and being just not the good boyfriend we all know he can be and more loved characters being funny and happy please

Dancing in the Dark: Rain
Part twoooooo, PART TWOOOOOOOOOOO. Enjoy my little dumplings! <3
Warnings: All the FLUFF
Tumblr media
It seemed like forever since you’d run into Kylo, the two of you still in each others arms as if you couldn’t understand what was happening between you. The instant spark of magic hit you like a truck and it was taking you a very long time to recover.
Kylo wasn’t much better off either. He couldn’t stop taking in your face over and over. The elegant twist of your hair style, light smattering of glitter around your eyes, and the natural makeup that enhanced your eyes had him starstruck. He’d wanted to meet you as soon as that curtain closed, but he never imagined it would be like this.
“Y/N, I am so sorry dear I-” Maz’s apologetic voice sounded from behind as you turned slightly in Kylo’s arms, “Ah, Kylo...may I ask what you’re doing with my prima ballerina?” Her face took on a disapproving look as she gave Kylo a cold gaze. You felt the need to defend him.
“Maz, please, it was my fault! I ran too fast to keep up with you and I slammed into him, but Mr. Ren caught me before I could fall.” You implored her to understand, hoping she wouldn’t misunderstand the situation.
Maz looked at you with a hidden warmth underneath her stern expression, you really were to kind and too good for the rest of the world. She had known Kylo since he was a young boy, being close with the Organa-Solo family. He’d been a quiet and polite boy, but recent years had hardened him and made everything about him a bit too suspicious for her liking. It also wasn’t a secret how he’d had his short lived flings with various beautiful women.
“I see, well, my apologies for my part in this.” Maz replied and looked to Kylo, “You don’t mind if I steal her then? There are a few people I want to introduce her to.” Kylo let go of your waist as you let go of his arms.
“Of course, I apologize.” Kylo looked as if he’d been kicked while down and you couldn’t help but wonder why his eyes screamed with loneliness. As he began to walk away, you gently grabbed his shoulder and looked at Maz.
“I’ll be right with you, Maz. I just have to thank Mr. Ren.” You could tell she was hesitant to leave you alone.
“Very well, meet me by the north pillar.” She nodded to Kylo and walked away. You turned around to meet his curious yet hopeful eyes.
“Thank you again for catching me, I’m not normally that clumsy.” You smiled and he couldn’t help but smile back.
“Really, it’s alright…” He trailed off trying to find something else to say until you spoke up.
“Listen, do you...do you have a pen?” You questioned. He furrowed his brow in confusion before searching through his pockets, bringing out an expensive pen encased in chrome linings. You smiled and took it only to grab his hand and begin writing on his wrist. He looked at your face as you finished, capping the pen and putting it into his breast pocket, “I hope it’s not too forward of me, but that’s my number. I...I would really like to get to know you, Mr. Ren.” You silently hoped he wouldn’t take this as you trying to throw yourself at him.
He looked at his wrist as if he couldn’t believe what you had just asked, the silence beginning to make you nervous until he let a small smile crack his face.
“I would like that, I’d like that very much.” He responded. You smiled and nodded once in excitement, turning to leave, “And Y/N?” You stopped and turned back to look at him. “Please call me Kylo.” You smiled even bigger before responding.
“See you soon then...Kylo.” You gave one last shy wave and made your way to Maz. Kylo watched you as until you disappeared into the crowd, bringing his wrist up to look at the neatly written numbers again. A feeling of excitement began to overtake him as he quickly pulled out his phone and typed your number into his contacts.
Maybe this night hadn’t been a total failure after all.
__________________________________________
Two days had passed since you had met Kylo, since then you’d been texting each other attempting to set up a date.
A date, god how long had it been since you’d been on a date? He had suggested taking you to La Cantina, a rather fancy restaurant in the nicer part of town. Before you could voice any concerns over the priceyness of the establishment, he assured you that money was not something you needed to worry about with him.
You stood at your closet trying to decide what dress to wear when your phone buzzed. You walked over in your underwear and looked to see a text from Kylo signaling he’d be at your apartment in 30 minutes.
Oh gods, you needed to get dressed! You looked back and forth between your two favorite options with nerves rolling off of your body. What if he didn’t like what you chose? What if he thought you were being too forward and was only doing this to be polite? What if he was actually ten times older than you? What if-
No. You closed your eyes and took a deep breath, willing yourself to calm down. Whatever the case, you needed to take a chill pill and be your damn self. Sure you’d had some bad past dates within the past year, but you wouldn’t let that ruin your night. You ended up going with a lovely black number that was long sleeved and showed off your shoulders. The length stopped just above your knees and hugged your curves flawlessly; paired with a pair of nude kitten heels, you felt pretty damn good.
You walked back to the mirror and primped your hair one last time, opting to go for soft 1940’s waves and minimal makeup save for a simple cat eye and nude lip gloss. You grabbed your clutch just as your doorbell buzzed.
“Coming!” You announced and briskly made your way down the hall, taking a deep breath and smoothing out your dress before opening the door.
He felt his breath catch when your door opened, you were an absolute vision in black and he felt like a creep for how he couldn’t take his eyes off of you. He cleared his throat and held out his hand.
“You look lovely, Y/N.” You put your hand in his only for him to gently grasp it and kiss the back of your hand. Oh gosh, his lips felt like clouds. You felt the blush over taking your cheeks as you managed to respond.
“You look very handsome yourself.” He looked at his pristine black suit and back at you with a smirk.
“What, this old thing?” You chuckled at his attempt to make you comfortable, but appreciated it nonetheless. He held out his arm in a silent offering causing you to smile and gently grasp his bicep.
*An hour later*
You sat with rapt attention as Kylo explained about what he did for First Order Corp, your eyes flickering between his lips and eyes every now and then.
Besides the fact that the man had offered to take you to one of the nicest restaurants in town, he had also gotten the two of you a private booth with romantic candle light and a beautiful view of the pier. The moon was full and bright, reflecting onto the water in a beautifully bright ombre effect.
You picked up your glass of merlot and sipped slowly, watching him with rapt attention as he spoke with his hands.
“But enough about me, tell me more about you. How did you come upon dancing?” His eyes gleamed in the candlelight, almost distracting you from answering.
“I’ve always been attracted to it, really. When I was little I’d watch repeats of the ballerinas at Christmas perform the Nutcracker or Swan Lake. It started as something that could distract me from…” You trailed off, realizing you were getting too personal, “...from life in general.” Kylo noticed the hitch, but said nothing so as not to make you uncomfortable. “After a while I found myself wanting to be like them, to move and dress like they did. Maz knew my family pretty well so I really owe any lessons and skills I have to her, she saw something that I didn’t and she went with it.” You smiled at the memory of your first lesson with Maz.
“Dance is...something I can’t justify with words. The feeling of telling a story through your body and music alone is one of the best feelings in the world, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.” You smiled gently as he leant forward.
“You’re very passionate,” He breathed out, “I admire that, not a lot of people do what they love anymore.” His eyes followed the tilt of your head.
“Do you?” He went to respond before you beat him to it, “Do you do what you love, I mean.” You clarified. Kylo looked down with an expression of deep thought, you feared maybe you ahd crossed a line after a few seconds of silence.
“It started that way, I think. I wanted to do something that would produce success, something that would get me a name for myself and First Order Corp was that place.” He spoke as if he was remembering a fleeting memory, “Sometimes I wish I could do some of the things I missed out on as a kid,” He chuckled, “I use to think I would become a famous mechanic…” He trailed off and you leaned forward in question.
“Why didn’t you?” You questioned.
“It wasn’t realistic, my family has always been known for their success in big business. I had to follow in their footsteps, I suppose.” He looked angry for a moment before a look of melancholy took its place, “I would always go to work with my mother when I was little. She knew how bored I was, but she didn’t have much of a choice when my dad couldn’t watch me; at least not until she got rich enough to hire a nanny. Anyway, sometimes she’d play the radio in her office and stand me on her feet so I could dance with her, an impromptu ballroom as it were. I enjoyed it for a time.” He stopped mid sentence as if uncomfortable, you reached out and gently grabbed his hand.
“You don’t have to go on.” You squeezed his hand comfortingly, his own fingers entangling in yours after a moment in a silent thanks. He let go after a few minutes to signal the waiter.
“How do you feel about milkshakes?” He asked with a roguish glint in his eye. You smiled brightly in return.
“I’m all about that life.” He smiled just as brightly.
Kylo not only knew about fancy restaurants, but also where to find a damn good milkshake that wasn’t a diner. He had driven the two of you to a small line of trucks that were lit with fairy lights and lined with picnic benches, a food truck festival of sorts. You stood with Kylo beside Jabba’s Shakes, a look of pure contentment on your face as you sipped your milkshake.
“This has to be the best thing I’ve ever tasted. How does he get it to be so thick?!” Kylo chuckled at your obvious delight and sipped his own strawberry shake.
“That’s something even I don’t know. The man could totally expand if he wanted to, but he always tells me he’s content with his truck so I leave it alone.” He took a final sip and threw his cup in the trash, you removing your lid and gulping down the remaining ice cream. You threw the empty cup away and looked up at Kylo as he attempted to stifle a laugh.
“What’s so funny?” You pouted. He allowed himself to let a small laugh out before moving closer to you.
“You’ve got a little something right…” His hand held your cheek as his thumb removed the remaining milkshake on your upper lip, “...here.” He trailed of when he realized how close you were and what he’d just done. You leaned your cheek more into his hand, your eyes flickering to his lips as he got closer. His own eyes began to close when-
BOOM
The sound of thunder rumbled into the night as the skies opened up in a downpour. Families and couples scrambled to get back to their cars in a panic as you let out a squeal at the sudden feeling of rain. Kylo knew he had parked far due to how busy the festival was and panicked at how he would keep you as dry as possible. What if you got pissed at him for the sudden weather? Most women he’d come across always seemed to freak out when their hair or makeup were messed up.
Thinking quickly, he took off his jacket and placed it over your head as a last ditch effort to keep you covered. By the time he was able to get a good look at you, he noticed you were laughing in pure delight. He found himself laughing along as he watched you turn your face upwards to the sky in an attempt to catch the water on your tongue. By the time your laughter had died down, you found yourself looking at Kylo in very much the same way as when you first saw him.
His white shirt was soaked through, his hair sticking to his face and neck and his eyes darker than you’d ever seen. He too had stopped laughing and tucked the coat around you more, hands coming up to wipe rain drops from your face. You parted your lips, entranced by the way the rain slid down his face and almost connected the moles and freckles on his face like constellations.
He cupped your face in his warm hands after wiping away the remaining drops, thumbs lightly stroking under your cheekbones as his eyes flickered to your lips. You felt the last bit of patience leave as you surged forward the rest of the way and connected your lips in a rain soaked kiss, your hands coming to clutch his expensive drenched shirt.
Kylo let out a low groan at the feeling of your lips on his, the rain adding to the overall ecstasy of the kiss. It had always been a secret fantasy of his to share a kiss in the rain, but this was better than anything he could have ever dreamed of. He smiled into the kiss as your arms wound around his neck, his own lowering to your waist in order to lift you up.
Your hands entangled into his wet hair as he took your bottom lips between his own in a gentle suck, tongue following to dance with your own. The rain dripped and slid between your passionate kiss, his arms only holding you tighter the more wet it got.
After what seemed like hours, you broke the kiss to rest your forehead on his. Your mingled breaths coming out in harsh pants against each, his eyes still closed from the feeling of pure passion. You placed another kiss onto the bridge of his nose, prompting his eyes to open and look up at you in his arms.
“I think now is a good time as any to introduce you to my fireplace.” He husked out. You let out a breathy chuckle in response.
“That sounds perfect.” Before you could unwind your arms from around him, Kylo had adjusted you so that he was carrying you bridal style and running back to the car; your laugh drifting off into the night.
