i do love that claudia very obviously wanted to show off her new outfit to louis and lestat. you can see her looking towards them as soon as she starts down the stairs so she can time them seeing her.

and you can see her trying SO HARD not to grin even though she so very obviously feels very chic and absolutely wants to have a lil fashion show. you can even see her look over at them to make sure they're looking before she looks forward again and tries to play it cool.

and it's even cuter that louis does indeed immediately give her the reaction she was looking for, and she looks so happy and immediately does her lil showing off pose.

it's just endlessly cute to me that she SO wanted to show off her outfit to them specifically.

I see so many posts about how Louis "tolerated" the operas with Lestat and I'm just like??? After the family dinner Lestat asks him why he lied about being so moved he was tearing up as the curtain fell?? The scene of them in the box he's fighting smiles at Lestat's nerdiness but there's no indication he doesn't want to be there at all?? Yeah he tolerated the pretense of being Lestat's valet but by every indication he enjoyed the experience itself. He is an art hoe!! He's called pretentious about art!! That boy LIKED the opera, he didn't just tolerate it for Lestat. He barely tolerated the over the top camp of the Theatre de Vampires that they made obvious.
