The clicking of shoes against the cold stone floor echoed through the shared infirmary of the citadel. Syrus, commonly referred to as Dr. Dollblight, pulled on his gloves and walked over to the mutant sitting on a bed. 

“Leondidas, What pleasure you bring to me today.. I suspect you ripped the gauze off your wound during battle again, correct?” Syrus spoke calmly and approached the mutant. The chilling chuckle of the turtle sent a chill down the doctor’s back. 

“Ding Ding Ding Doc.” Leondidas replied, twirling his mask tails in his hand, as usual. Syrus desperately wished he could rip those mask tails off and wrap it around the stitched up cut on his arm. Maybe then he wouldnt be so careless with the injury. Syrus silently grabbed gauze and slowly wrapped the stitched wound in gauze for the fifth time that week. The tear of the gauze seemed loud in the otherwise silent room. Syrus stepped back as Leondidas sauntered out with his mask tails tangled around his fingers. 

“..Do be careful out there Leondidas. Please.”

“No promises~” 

The door shut, and the Doctor let out an annoyed sigh.

If you give someone a ride home, or walk someone home, don't leave or drive away until you see them get inside and close the door behind them. Make sure you see to it that they get fully get inside safely before you leave.

This also applies to temporary residences, such as a hotel, airbnb, dormitories, ect.

Seeing to it that they fully make it inside safely isn't just about fear of something as drastic as an assault or a mugging. It would also be awfully annoying and stressful for them if they lost their key, and before realizing they're locked out their ride or walking companion has already sped off, so now they're stuck outside alone with nowhere else to go, and possibly a dead phone (when it rains it pours). Or maybe there's dangerous fauna in the area. Or maybe the neighbor's poorly trained dog with aggression issues is loose. Or maybe they slip and hurt themselves while walking to the door.

Even if you're absolutely positive they'll make it to the door safely, it's still a kind and thoughtful gesture to let them know that you care enough about their safety to see to it that they make it inside safely.

hey everyone - i know there’s a lot going on in the world right now, a lot of causes that need support and visibility now more than ever.

i’d like to take an opportunity to highlight a cause that’s very literally close to home for me: i live very, very close to springfield, ohio. the haitian community there has always needed help and support but now, with white supremacist rhetoric and bold faced lies being circulated nationally, with threats of violence and heightened ignorance being more common than ever, they need it perhaps more than they ever have.

there has been a lot of hate since trump and his little bootlicker attack dog jd vance have started this shit, but there’s also been an outpouring of love and community outreach in the weeks since springfield was thrust into the worst kind of spotlight.

the hatian community support and help center has been invaluable in helping hatian refugees get what they need to start a new life here. they are headed by a team of haitian immigrants that are personally familiar with what their fellow immigrants need. they have been instrumental in keeping their community from falling through the cracks.
