luke fumbling in recruiting percy has to be one of his greatest failures. a beautiful thing the show does regarding luke and percy's relationship is building rapport between them through shared moments like settling into camp, eating meals together, but especially through swordfighting lessons. the swordfighting scene at the beginning of episode 8 not only reveals that percy and luke already share similar beliefs about the fear-based system the gods have cultivated, but it's clear the conversation stays with percy when he fights ares and later calls out zeus on his waning skills as a father and a king. however, luke's plan fell through the moment percy learned that the winged-shoes were meant to drag him to tartarus. not only that, but the shoes nearly killed grover, a friend percy cared for deeply. if nourishing loyalty and trust was the key to ensuring a partnership with percy, then it was luke's faulty planning, arrogance, and impatience that cost him the greatest ally he could ask for.

no but the thing is. they KISSED. on screen. it was a real scene, not deleted, not removed from a script, it HAPPENED in front of the world's eyes. and AND the actors are normal about it and the whole cast and crew is normal about it and it's not vague and it's IMPORTANT. no matter the rest of it and what came after it, it happened!!

boothill teaching you to shoot. . . he’s close, closer than you think he needs to be but hey? what the hell do you know about shooting? maybe he’s supposed to be pressed up again you and maybe you’re supposed to feel him against your ass. . . he’s close enough that you should hear every word passing his lips but you don’t — it’s much too difficult when your focus is on the way his voice whispers against your skin, brushes again the shell of ur ear. you can’t hear his instructions because you’re too busy thinking about his hands positioning you, how each touch makes the nerves beneath your skin light up like a blazing, uncontrollable fire that rages and spreads over just about every inch of you.

he helps you the first time you fire, holding your arms in place and letting his finger press against yours to pull the trigger. the combination of the unexpectedly powerful recoil that pushes you even closer into boothill and the surprised squeal you let out at the insanely loud shot make the man chuckle. he can feel you squirm against him, though, whether that’s due to your proximity or the way he leans down to whisper, “nice shot, sugar,” into your ear, he can’t be entirely sure.

One of my favorite Leo headcanons is that Leo could not for the life of him tell you what a country looks like or where it’s located on a map or even what its name is, but show him a picture of some random dirt and he’ll pro geoguesser his way into instantly knowing where on the planet that dirt’s from (because he’s accidentally crashed face first into it enough to Know.)

Scoria and Sakura are best friends! It's so cute when I see the things they do together, and it makes me so beyond happy that they both came to live with me so that they could share their lives with each other. They absolutely insist on it, and does so much good for the other.

I can't imagine how else they could have found happiness if things hadn't worked out exactly as they did. Scoria has basically been Sakura's "emotional support snake" while she worked through things from her past I'll never fully know that caused her a lot of issues with panic and fear. Sakura knows this too, and looks out for her sister, the only one she truly trusts and feels completely safe with.

The moment they wake up they both want each other to snuggle and play with. Scoria loves to be affectionate with both me and her sister who seems to have not had this earlier in her life- but Scoria is showing her how nice it is not only directly but demonstrating with me and Sakura also trying, copying what she has seen her sister do.

Sometimes when one goes to check on the other they'll join in on... I'm not even sure what they were doing. But they had a good time while taking a mandated union break from digging tunnels for the isopods.

So happy I get to share in the adventures of these two best friends! It makes me so happy to see them living their best lives together, and being beyond content snuggled together with their found family.
