luke fumbling in recruiting percy has to be one of his greatest failures. a beautiful thing the show does regarding luke and percy's relationship is building rapport between them through shared moments like settling into camp, eating meals together, but especially through swordfighting lessons. the swordfighting scene at the beginning of episode 8 not only reveals that percy and luke already share similar beliefs about the fear-based system the gods have cultivated, but it's clear the conversation stays with percy when he fights ares and later calls out zeus on his waning skills as a father and a king. however, luke's plan fell through the moment percy learned that the winged-shoes were meant to drag him to tartarus. not only that, but the shoes nearly killed grover, a friend percy cared for deeply. if nourishing loyalty and trust was the key to ensuring a partnership with percy, then it was luke's faulty planning, arrogance, and impatience that cost him the greatest ally he could ask for.

One of my favorite Leo headcanons is that Leo could not for the life of him tell you what a country looks like or where it’s located on a map or even what its name is, but show him a picture of some random dirt and he’ll pro geoguesser his way into instantly knowing where on the planet that dirt’s from (because he’s accidentally crashed face first into it enough to Know.)

So are we gonna collectively ignore that Jayce was somehow able to take Viktor's vitals when he was in the magic chrysalis (which would involve him basically having to stick his fingers in the goop to reach Viktor's cartoid artery in order to take his pulse) but when Mel just hovered her hand over said magic goop it reacted really violently when she got too close?

Did the Hexcore know that Jayce was trying to protect Viktor and so it let him past the defences? Or was Viktor's trust in Jayce so inherently strong that even unconscious and freshly resurrected he wouldn't let anything hurt him?

Yuji hated being alone when he had Sukuna stuck with him. His evil voice constantly berates him, saying things like “everyone you care about will die because of you” and sometimes Yuji really believes him.

Sukuna appears in his dreams just to torment him, the images that appear leaving him gasping for air and seconds away from vomiting. Don’t even get him started on while he’s awake, Sukuna’s tormenting only gets worse.

He’d look into the mirror and he’d see those hateful red eyes glaring back at him, it’d make his head spin and his brain cloud with thoughts of “I’m never getting rid of him, he’ll be with me til’ we inevitably die.”

Even after Sukuna left his body, Yuji still was haunted by the curse. He remembers everyone he watched die, and how it was all done by Sukuna with a grin on his evil face. The face that once belonged to Megumi. That’s now returned to Megumi, just a little scarred.

Yuji looks next door at Fushiguro, wondering if Sukuna has done the same damage. He notices the unsure look on Megumi’s face, the same one Yuji used to have, and his heart breaks just a little. Fushiguro doesn’t deserve to be tormented by the memory of Shinjuku. Yuji quickly devises a plan to help Megumi out, skipping over to the door and knocking lightly.

“Fushiguro! You wanna watch Human Earthworm again?”

“Why would I want to watch that horrible movie again?”

“Come on, Kugisaki is in Maki's room, let’s have a little sleepover!”

“…Alright, but do we really have to watch Human Earthworm?”

“Yep! Now c’mon!” Yuji drags him to his room and turns on the movie.

At first, Megumi didn’t realize why Yuji was doing this, but when he fell asleep and wasn’t reminded of what happened in Shinjuku, finally having a peaceful sleep, he figured it out. Yuji also slept well that night, and every night after that, because now they have each other. And they don’t plan on leaving each other again.
