Just did a Batman run on Batman Day, it was a 5k run, the first one I ever had!! Gotta say, it was kind of a nice way to spend the day, Cardio is usually my nemesis, so I've been pushing myself to do more, had to walk a bit here and there but I persisted on and finished!!
And that's what Batman is all about!!

Busybody...Fitter Brain
Evidence that having better cardio-respiratory fitness – through aerobic activities like walking, running, swimming, and biking – is good for the brain's white matter health, with the potential to delay onset or progression of age-related neurodegenerative diseases. This study compares oxygen consumption and myelin [the neuron covering that gives white matter its colour] content in 125 adults aged from 22 to 94

Fitness Log - Day 1
Tumblr media
What's up, my peeps! That's right, Christy coming at you riding a high of pre-workout, Gamersupps, and a successful day of crushing my first workout post-split!
Tumblr media
Aerobics
Tumblr media
We are back on the C25k! If you don't work out but want to get started, I can't recommend this program highly enough! (Obviously, if you've got some other challenge that means running will not be a good place to start, there are options, even if those options are just to increase your step-count for the week. Whatever you do, get started!) I've been using it off and on for years and completing an 8-week training program to get ready for a 5k run was what got us through the divorce. If you get through the full 8 weeks and decide running just isn't your thing, no hate, there's plenty of other aerobics options, but make sure you include aerobics! Just strength training is NOT enough to keep you healthy and fit!
Quick sidebar: Unless you've done something like this as an adult, you WILL NOT know whether you like to run or not. Primary school education systems do a gawdawful job of trying to get kids interested in fitness, basically throwing everything at the wall at once and picking only the kids who show natural interest in things like sports to continue teaching things like distance/endurance running. Do the WHOLE C25k before you decide if running is fun for you or not. If you're anything like me you most likely won't know for sure until you're done with the full 8 weeks! (Obviously, I'm one of the people that likes running)
Strength Training - Arm workout
Arm circles (30s)
Standing Dumbbell Curl (1x10, 1x8)
Dumbbell Kickbacks (1x10, 1x8)
Dumbbell Reverse Curl (1x10, 1x8)
Dumbbell Triceps Extension ( 1x10, 1x8)
Dumbbell Punch (1x20, 1x16)
Triceps Stretch (20s)
Standing Biceps Stretch (20s)
If you're not familiar with strength training, the notation above is pretty opaque to newbies, but anything with an 's' means "Seconds." Yeah, there's some strength training and flexibility training that stretches into minutes (which is marked with an 'm') but outside of something like yoga it's not common.
The '1x10' and such mean "One set of 10 repetitions" of whatever workout is listed.
Whither Flexibility Training?
If you followed my previous fitness blogs from before the split, you'll know I was trying to jam yoga in. It just wasn't working for me at the time and I think I'll need a coach to get started on this aspect of fitness, but I'm REALLY looking forward to it as it will help with my new career.
Super hype for the new beginning and can't wait to see where this journey takes me!

GO AND EXERCISE SAFELY HOWEVER YOU CAN, IF YOU ARE DEPRESSED!
You’ll feel a huge difference by taking the steps to exercise. —God, I feel so different after running or swimming. The human brain is so interesting, because exercising has been shown to be as effective as antidepressants— Getting that movement and elevated heart rate for 30+ minutes (aerobic exercise) allows you to release pent up stress AND the brain then releases the happy and soothing chemicals. Even just 15 minutes of moderate-intense exercise in the day makes a big difference in your clarity of mind, because the dopamine your brain releases allows you to focus better. It’s honestly really neat to experience, so go and try it if you can find a way to exercise safely!
Whenever I don’t exercise consistently I get into a weird state of foggy-mindedness, in the sense that I am too stressed or on edge to focus. Life is just like fuzzy and pitched, a bad energy. But exercising makes me happy. I’m so serious. I feel good right now because I swam today :) and as a kid and adolescent, I was engaged in intense exercise daily, swimming, running long distances, trainings, etc etc etc. I remember being exhausted during practices (for good reason… i even screwed up my period on multiple occasions, due to the intensity of exercise, and because I always pushed myself to my perceived limits), but always felt like I was absorbing life through a clearer lens than I have been in recent years. Having daily exercise and commitments are very important for me. It’s really about creating the life that serves you best and sticking to it, living it, of course whilst being mindful of the world and others.
And remember that consistency is key, and that you’re going to be self-compassionate: you’re going to do this for yourself, keeping you when you said you would, even if you don’t feel like it, or think you deserve it. Because you do deserve to feel better, and be healthy n happy. :)

How To Get Rid Of Face Fat?
There are a lot of ways to eliminate fat from your face. The most obvious way is to lose weight because the excess fat comes from food that you consume, not from exercising. Replace bad or junk foods with fruits and vegetables to start. Exercise regularly for about an hour a day – this will help burn calories and make your body more active all around. Reducing alcohol consumption can also contribute towards weight loss goals as it tends to contain a lot of empty calories which do not equate with nutrients or benefits for the body.
