🦁 Here’s my first drawings for 2025. I based this version of Teenage/Adult Simba on early animation done by Ruben Aquino in the story reel for the Mufasa’s ghost sequence. Back in October in my free time at home and at work, I watched the video on YouTube and sketched out what I saw. 🐾🦁

A Lion from another world - Acceptance

"Get to know them and see." came the advice from Nala who then turned and walked off. Simba looked ahaed for a moment, as a sign of hesitation, then decided to follow her back to Pride Rock, leaving Kovu and Kiara behind with each other.

Simba was aware of that his daughter was in love with the young male, and exactly this made the decision even harder. If Kiara hadn't fallen in love with him, he would have already exiled Kovu - probably. But in this situation, this was more complicated.

When they reached the den, Nala walked in first and he was following her. Then, he heard his name uttered softly. Simba stopped and looked around, his gaze fixed on the lion that stood on the edge.

"Aslan?" He questioned, surprised, although he was very glad to see his old mystic friend.

Ngl I think Simba's characterization peaked during TLK2. I wish we'd seen more angst of him both wanting and not wanting to be like his father. Fearing he'll pass on his mistakes to his children.

Also, I really didn't like him telling Kion that he ruined the savanna summit. Maybe if someone else had been cast instead of motherfucking Rob Lowe, maybe it could have been said more in a worried or angry tone but nah, he just says it in the most bored ass tone possible. Ack, I need to stop complaining about tlg but there's writing choices that bugged me that i want to address aaaaa

okay so, if we didn't get a twst version timon, pumba, and rafiki in the afterglow savannah event then that just means vil, kalim, and lilia represents them. because don't get me started that in that one part where lilia was against three hyena beastmen and then remembering that RAFIKI (the monkey with a blue ass) was fighting hyenas around the climax of lion king (animation).

and this mf really went kachow on the hyenas like rafiki 😭😭😭 and then kalim was 'bait' or the defense of the team (being set out first) and maybe he's timon and wHAT IF VIL WAS PUMBA BECAUSE PUMBA CAN LITERALLY FIGHT AND AND AND 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Ok but seriously. Hey y’all, how ya doin? Hope you survived the beginning of the big holiday season. One of the perks of my job is that we sometimes have to loss out the old flower bouquets to make room for the new ones so that means free flowers for Inky and basically whoever wants them.

I got a gorgeous bunch of red roses and figured y’all could use some beautiful serotonin ❤️

For my peeps that need an extra boost due to reality being too much, go the extra delulu mile and just mentally photoshop your comfort character’s presence over this post and pretend it’s them giving you flowers 😂 whatever helps get you through a tough time without hurting yourself or others go for it.

So the other other day I went to Disney On Ice with my family and the moment I saw them, I developed one hell of a hankering for a snow cone. I knew I wanted one (despite New Zealand winter being in more-or-less full force) and I knew I had some money, so I went to scout the stalls selling them in the venue and see which one sold them for the cheapest price. If not from the Disney-themed stalls (which are always overpriced and always just for the merch inextricably tied to them), then from the stalls the venue itself had, because they actually had those and didn't completely restrict us to sacrificing our wallets to the big mouse.

Spoiler alert: THE ONLY STALLS THAT HAD THEM WERE THE DOI STALLS

AND THE SNOW CONES COST 25 NZD A PIECE
