BUT OF COURSE I HAD TO DRAW BUNGA AS AN ADULT AND NOT GIVIN’ A HOOT! I also needed a guinea pig to practice flat color stuff! This show honestly is something pretty special. It isn’t perfect by any means, but dang the colors and music is wonderful. Also this little honey-badger child is my true spirit animal. Besides, I have NO issues with kids getting exposed to this gem of a property.  I hope it inspires kids as much as the first Lion King movie did me 20+ years ago.

I find it kind of funny that Nala's Kingdom Hearts 2 character model kind of looks like a mix of her TLK1 and TLK2 designs, though it probably wasn't even intentional;

Her model is based on her Lion King 1 design, her eye color is the same as Lion King 2's, and the color of her pelt kind of looks like an in-between of 1 and 2's.

Here's a beautiful piece I drew in the occasion of the upcoming 2024 Lion King prequel centered around Mufasa, which I feel very mixed about. And what better way to contribute to those news than to draw my own interpretations of Mufasa's family! (Weither he's adopted or not lol)

So long HC story short, Ahadi is Mohatu's son and heir to the throne, while Uru was a lost and confused rogue, whom the prince fell for. She got her diamond-shaped scar on the side of head from blunt force trauma that cost her the memories of her origins & identity. That scar, as well as her unusually beautiful white coat, earned her the new name of "Uru". Only in her final, brutal moments, would she finally get a glimpse of her past.

And of course, there's Zuzu (original I know), Zazu's mom, serving as King Ahadi's majordomo before her son would eventually take her position.

Also, Askari is Scar's full name in my headcanon, not Taka.

Ngl Mufasa with light-rimmed ears is the best take on his cub design imo

To those who keep insisting that Simba was an ass in The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride.

Simba literally saw his father die a horrible death as a very small child, was gaslit by a family member into believing it was his fault, then later found out that said family member was responsible for it.

PTSD.

He had every right to react negatively to those who still supported a fratricidal dictator for an uncle. Said supporters literally plotted his death as well.

But he became the bigger lion and was willing to forgive the past by the end.

First one has Skully (Jake and the Neverland Pirates), the elementary school teacher. Bright and spunky and digs Zazu for some reason. And now i have a fic to go with that too cause i have good friend

Last one be young Zazu and Mufasa from when they first met as referencing the fic that started it all. Careful gay disney.

The Zimwi

Context: this is a story I always intended for Halloween. It follows the past of Queen Janna and how the folklore of the zimwi begun. Janna’s healer, Kamari has been very off putting. Janna notices that she always sees animals go into the tree but they never come out. Once her Mjuzi goes missing, Janna investigates and discovers that Kamari has been attempting to create new life using the tree’s healing properties to fuse animals together by injuring them and healing them. This creates the Zimwi. A bit inspired by frankenstein lol happy Halloween

Unfortunately went to the dark side and used the symmetry tool but I wanted to get this done 😭
