I haven't enjoyed the holidays in years

I still remember the joy like it was yesterday— Decorating the tree and the living room for hours, Until the day the family fell apart.

The Christmas songs I once sang along to, Faded faster than my father's health. Suicidal thoughts, A deep relapse, Burnout from life itself, Took that place instead.

PMDD developed, CPTSD rained down, Locking me in a cage of fear, Screaming endlessly in my mind with no end in sight.

My falling out with everyone left me in a dark, cold corner. Alone.

This wasn't the life I dreamed of, The life I was supposed to have. No. I pictured family traditions. A home filled with decorations, Laughter, Love.

Yet here I sit, Alone with my loneliness. Sober now. Afraid. The violent, Painful mood swings laugh at me daily, Reminding me of what I've lost— The last bit of love I had.

Work became all I had left. The very last thing I gave a fuck about.

Money? I never cared about it. Sure, it pays for food, For gifts— But it was never enough to keep anyone close.

Still, I'm thankful for this roof over my head. Though genuine connections, The love, Is what will forever be missed.

A Moment of Realization: When Life Feels Like a Series of Trials

Today, it dawned on me that I can’t remember the last time I led a sober life. Recently, things have been really tough. It feels as though I've lived multiple lives, and now I am utterly exhausted.

I smoked marijuana again today and played "The Sims," completely neglecting my studies. I have no desire to do anything productive for myself. After a couple of puffs, I felt relief, and my thoughts seemed to fall into place. This is addiction, and yes, it’s deceitful.

Yesterday, I drank some wine, and it seemed fine too, except for the realization that time is relentlessly moving forward. On any social network, you can choose to show how cool you are or how bad things are. But I don’t want to share my life with anyone. I write here because it’s unlikely that anyone I know will find me, and you all don’t know me anyway.

So, I digressed... I want to quit everything that clouds my mind, but I can’t yet. I feel like screaming, but the only one who can help me is myself.
