WOW. This was triumphant! Safdie's direction added an anti-comedy twist that I found extremely compelling. Sandler's jokes and songs vary from laugh out to loud to completely cringe-worthy, but it all worked for me! Even the raunch and moments that veer close to the more typical annoyances of married life from someone his age. You can tell he's got so much love for his people, his family, and his work, and that makes all the difference. I found the ending ode to Comedy to make this a companion special to 100% Fresh but in a way that was still totally fresh. (Someone, who shall not be named here, should've just had a career as an Elvis impersonator).

Adam Sandler returns to stand-up with a new comedy special directed by Josh Safdie (making his comedy special directorial debut).  Adam Sandler: Love You premieres globally on Netflix on August 27, 2024.

My favorite thing about Annabeth is her wardrobe.

Cause like, Rick simplifies her clothes in a way a man would, and you can tell.

Cause in EVERY book, from The Lightning Thief to Chalice, she’s in the goddamn CHB shirt. With like some shorts or cargo pants. Nothing more, nothing less.

He’s made improvements over the years, giving her some other clothes. But he’ll always come back to old faithful.

Like, he most definitely did it on accident, but he made her so Adam Sandler and I love it

Serendipity should be required viewing material before anyone tries to analyze Homestuck; not only is John Cusack a universal constant, but the themes and vibes of Serendipity are so fundamentally woven into Homestuck's DNA that several of Serendipity's thesises and conversations could be lifted directly from one to the other.

In particular, the way Serendipity utilizes coincidence and circumstantially simultaneous events in order to suggest - nay, decree - that the two leads belong together, is highly reminiscent of the way Hussie uses foreshadowing, and not just for romantic couples. It's also a major window into the ultimate stance Homestuck takes with regard to romance, fate, and destiny, and also more specifically, a really good look at Karkat's own personal philosophies of romance. There's a running theme in his movies of meeting someone that perfectly matches your freak, someone you don't ever need to compromise yourself around, who brings out the best in you.

Also, some of yall need to watch a shitty romcom every once in a while and develop some emotions

It's a travesty to me that the only chanukah (or even jewish in general) movie my dad's seen is Eight Crazy Nights - don't get me wrong, it's a decent movie. But only when it's Davey being vulnerable and when the movie undeniably engages with his jewishness

If I ever get my own place, I'm forcing him to watch jewish movies and whatnot because there is no way his only exposure to judaism is through that movie and him trying to convince one of his soldiers to request a kosher MRE. He cannot live life this way (lighthearted)!

I will never understand why everyone in canon calls Izuku plain. Never. He can be goofy-looking sometimes, sure, but so can everyone else. Look at him:

story time

so last night my boyfriend and i were playing this get to know you card game and one question was who would be your celebrity pass.

mine was of COURSE young adam sandler it will always be adam sandler I’m sorry, but it’s the truth and he knows it.

anyways then he proceeds to think very hard about the question. he’s visibly nervous to tell me, this boy is shaking in his boots just twiddling his thumbs while I give him a death stare…….. tell me why he blurts out ICE SPICE.

now mind you, I love miss icy girl. ice spice is my GIRL. and I cannot say that if I had the opportunity I wouldn’t also like to kiss her ya know a little 😘

however, thinking that my boyfriend also thinks that way is not so pleasant.

so now I’m angry. my chest is tight and all I can think about is how hot ice spice is and how I DO NOT LOOK ANYTHING LIKE HER

he sees me getting visibly upset he says well hold on now- you wouldn’t just vibe with adam sandler you’d make love to him.

so I started smiling bc well yes, he’s so right. I cannot disagree that if adam sandler got on one knee, I would say yes to that big question. I’m in indeed actually very confident the answer would be yes.

ANYWAYS if you’ve read this far and you’re also delusional like I am I’m sure you can picture my (not so fair) anger.

moral of the story now I will never be able to listen to in ha mood or bikini bottom again without thinking how my boyfriend has a big fat ultimate soul sucking crush on ice spice.

the worse part is I can’t even be mad he looks the complete opposite of mr. sandler I’m talking brown skin brown eyes 4c hair different.
