I do know that intersex doesn’t just mean having both a penis and a vagina, maybe people should stop making assumptions about me. It feels like I must change everything I have been doing because one person suddenly got offended. I have been tagging this way before and then they suddenly I have one person who got offended at me over this. I looked it up to see if an intersex person could get pregnant which they can. I never stated I was an expert on what it means to be intersex or that Adam was the only type of intersex person. Maybe you shouldn’t make assumptions about me.

So this has to do with how I go about interpreting scripture. Whenever I go about trying to interpret a passage or group of, I’m focused more so on the overall message it’s trying to get across more than the historicity of it. So while the narrative history of the two narratives are different, I don’t think the theology has to be. Sublime Creation Narrative says humans are made in the image of God to reign and rule and etc, so then when I read the Garden Narrative I still hold that same anthropological concept to be true, and I think gardening is the first narrative image of what it means to image God (since it’s a vocation as well as identity). Idk if I explained that well lol
As for Genesis 3: I haven’t seen that argument either and I also don’t think it would hold water. I think scholars who use that verse as a contrast to the b'tzelem Elohim concept in Genesis 1 are being more consistent (tho ofc I think they’re wrong). The most compelling case for image of God language in the second narrative would be “Then Yahweh God took the human and rested them in the garden of Eden to work and keep it.” That’s priestly/levitical language which I see as part of the image of God — which, sidenote,  is part of why I reject the Yahwist interpretation of Genesis 2-3 authorship. Whoever wrote this imo clearly had a temple in mind since the garden is temple designed and the humans are priests. That said, to get there you have to care a lot about hyperlinking between texts, which tho I hold to it, I don’t know that it’s a popular view in academic settings
So I was reading N.T. Wright’s paper on the biblical basis for women’s service in the church (and it was pretty great imo) and he frequently refers to the idea that distinctions between man and woman no longer exist post-salvation (which for most Christian traditions means post-baptism) and condemns it as gnostic.
Note: I’ll be defining gnostic pretty loosely. Just focus on the “neglect for material physical reality in favor of a more immaterial spiritual thing” aspect.
What he is referring to is similar but not exactly like the egalitarian anthropology called “eschatological feminism”. In this view the original human, Adam, is an androgynous hermaphrodite until the fall, after which gender was created. According to this view’s interpretation of Galatians 3:28, baptism (the introduction into new creation) returns humans to that pre-fallen state of androgyny.
There is more: Sexuality, the main division between genders, is said to be the root of female subordination. Relationships that are typically rooted in sexuality (marriage and motherhood) place women in roles that are subordinate in accordance with society's patriarchal norms. The path to equality is believed to be found when women transcend these roles —traditionally through celibacy (as seen in the life of Paul). Transcending worldly norms, which the Bible instructs Christians to do, brings men and women to the state of androgyny that eliminates gender subordination; thus, Christianity is intended to manifest gender equality. Transcendence is the core of eschatological feminism; women reach equality with men by separating from the world, rather than changing it.
N.T. Wright doesn’t really do this perspective justice imo. Part of the reason for that is that this perspective is focused on Genesis 2 whereas Wright is focused more so on Genesis 1: “male and female he created them.”
Eschatological feminism is actually really popular on progressive Christian tumblr (except in tetrahedra to trans theology instead of feminist theology), albeit without all of the elaborate aspects I mentioned. Actually, progressive christblr tends to be closer to Wright’s simplification of this perspective: in Genesis 1 we were made male and female, but once in Christ (which for most Christians means once baptized) there is no male nor female.
That said, I have to agree with Tom: that is gnostic. It treats the original created state as something to be done away with and is, surprisingly, actually a lot closer to evangelical or fundamentalist perspectives on creation (theological horseshoe theory???). It shows a certain disdain or contempt for og creation and New Creation as a denial of old creation instead of a reaffirmation of it. Wright, who like Paul is a theologian of new creation, is spot on with this critique.
Side note: Gnosticism will always be a temptation where there is a neglect for the physical and an emphasis on the spiritual. Since eschatological feminism is inspired by asceticism and mysticism, it makes sense that it would have gnostic tendencies. And the same can be said for evangelicalism. Tho it is not ascetic or mystical, it does see material reality is both distinct from and lower than nonmaterial reality.
That said. I don’t think that eschatological feminism or trans theology has to be intrinsically gnostic.
Asceticism and mysticism
Adam being originally androgynous
Female subordination being the result of the fall
Baptism as New Humanity (in which subordination and oppression can no longer be tolerated)
Elevation of the status of single people
Gender equality
Separation from human made power structures
All of these things are really good things and are key aspects of eschatological feminism. None of them are heretical. However
The harsh view of sex, marriage, and motherhood
The treatment of creation as something to be done away with
The idea of sex and/or gender as fundamentally bad
View of Christianity as escapist
All of those are unbiblical. But, I think both eschatological feminism and trans theology can get on well without them.

my favorite is when people say "god made adam and eve, man and woman" like I'm sorry but he also made clownfish, hyenas, snails, and thousands of other animals that defy the human concepts of male and female. so maybe, just maybe. trans and intersex people are actually natural.
there are tons of animals in nature who are hermaphrodites, snails are a very well known example, and there are other species that are able to change their sex if there is not enough males or females in a given population! many type of ocean creatures are capable of changing sex if needed. there are also species that are capable of self-fertilization and do not require a mate to reproduce! there are species of all female lizards and centipedes and other animals who procreate via parthenogenesis, a form of asexual reproduction where they are able to create a new embryo without fertilizing an egg. it's basically self cloning and it's really fucking cool!
nature does not have a sex binary. there are so many animals that sit in between "male" and "female" or are literally both or can literally change their sex. there have also been examples of animals who are born with conditions very similar to intersex variations, where they may have an imbalance of hormones, mixed/"non-standard" genitals, and so on! it's not just us who do this. nature is just like this. and it gets even weirder

Do you think Adam would have turned himself into a Hermaphrodite out of sheer rage, hate, grief and pride over the fact that 2 or 3 of his wives ditched him but also over the fact they have been kicked out of Eden as well. At least Adam can fully claim that he is legit the Father/Mother of Mankind.
Also wonder if Adam had any kids with his previous wives do you think he would have some urges of getting rid of them due to either blood association with their mothers or a couple of them being born with no blood ties to Adam.
Even if I'm not going to rely on the four wives version. I see it as feasible, at least for HH's Adam. But I doubt he would hate his children for the mothers' mistakes, he wouldn't blame the child or children for their infidelity.

by washington never having kids of his own, were there ever rumors about him not sleeping with martha basically? because i know that at that time it'd me more easy for them to put the blame on Martha, but nevertheless, people could try to turn to this around to hurt his image saying he was a sodomite and everything (specially during the amrev)
and if they did, did it ever had any bad consequences to gwash?
Yes, actually. Many.
Although Washington was generally revered by many people, he had many political enemies, especially among the British, as you may imagine. During the Revolutionary War, British newspapers constantly insulted the Washingtons and made up wild rumors about them. Some of these were symbolic more than anything, not meant for anyone to take word for word, but others were used to attempt to persuade Americans against their beloved commander.
Blame was put on Martha, but they had virtually no information on her, so they had far more ammunition against Washington himself. And most of these accusations involved sodomy, if not stupidity and other forms of incompetence. The Journal of the American Revolution has compiled a list of Washington's alleged affairs. There is no proof, at least not that I have seen, to substantiate any of these.
The criticisms Washington received from the press later in his career don't seem to be as scandalous. After reading Mount Vernon's article on the press attacks against Washington during his presidency, it seems they were mostly civil. However, Jefferson did play a major role in this, and he famously called Adams a hermaphrodite, with both the physical traits of man and woman but the qualities of neither, so I won't make any claim that they were entirely PG.
However, these didn't really seem to have any kind of effect on Washington's overall reputation. This was most likely due to the fact that he never responded to these accusations publicly (unlike someone we know). He was known to be very self conscious about what the general populace thought of him, but he never let that show. He was very strict about his etiquette rules, and I think responding would go against most if not all of them. This basically swept most of the allegations under the rug, and implied that all of them, even if they had some truth, were false.
These blasphemous allegations appear in many different forms of media about Washington. For example, in the first episode of Turn: Washington's Spies, the fight in Strong Tavern is started by a newspaper referencing this kind of publishing, which is one of my favorite details because it did happen, and the crude humor is pretty historically accurate. Thanks for the ask!!

when jefferson was running for president he got a newspaper to print that his opponent, john adams, was a hermaphrodite. john adams got a newspaper to print that jefferson was dead.
they rekindled their friendship years later wrote to each other frequently, and jefferson had a bust of himself and adams made. he kept the one of adams, and sent the one of himself to adams so they could look at eachother when they wrote to eachother.
they died on the same day, on july fourth exactly 50 years after the declaration of independence (which adams refused to write bc he knew he wasn’t a good enough writer for it and encouraged jefferson to write) was adopted, and adams’s last words were “jefferson survives”

Hazbin Hotel Theory: Was Adam & Lilith Once Adalith...? (Also In Real Life or Myths: Cain Might Be Lilith's Son-In-Law) Part 1
[Note: make sure you had watched Season 1 of Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss before reading this because there will be spoilers, Mature Audience Readers Only, also this post is not for kids...]
so I will start with the Hazbin Hotel Theory, before talking about Cain marrying and having a family with one of Lilith's daughters...
there is a story that has to do with how Adam and Eve were once one in the same, that they were "hermaphrodite" (not to be confused as Intersex, we cannot confuse them...I still suspect I might be one of the Intersex types but I'm not 100% sure...) and something about them being split into Male and Female forms.
like what if in that story book Charlie was reading, it only told half of the story...and left out the parts that Adam and Lilith use to be someone called Adalith, like it being Ada-Lith...
from the dust of Earth, Adalith was made but then they were forced to become two beings that will bare half their names...
and they were named Adam and Lilith.
like while Lilith seem sweet and caring on the outside, she was not so much deep inside, and while Adam was well full of himself the way he was and is...
deep down he could be a big softy who lets out more of his anger than his sadness and tears.
Adam and Lilith, could make up the Best & Worst Traits of Adalith.
also it could be possible from our universe, Lilith had Adam's babies in a cave and they weren't monsters or demons, but she may have had such offspring later on the longer she and Adam were separated and well how three angels tried to force her to return to Adam.
it could be possible that Lilith, kept her human children safe and hidden, and they could of been twins or triplets or quadruplets that were the sons and daughters of Lilith and Adam.
and if it is true that Eve and Samael (or to some it could be either him or Lucifer) that had become the bio-parents of Cain, but no matter if Samael or Lucifer were the Bio-Dads, Adam did raise him even if I still think he may have been a Gray-Parent...but he could of still loved Cain and he could still be considered Cain's REAL Father...
so yeah, after Cain was kicked out after what happen to Abel...
he likely did meet one of Lilith's daughters, and possibly fell hopelessly in love with I guess who he viewed as a "Angel"...
I mean she could of still been human, and since she couldn't of been the other daughters of Eve and Adam, and it could be possible that in theory, Cain may have married one of them later on in his life, possibly...
but it would mean Lilith's bloodline & Adam's bloodline, ended up well like...you know, the one that Cain married was already Lilith & Adam's daughter, but Cain was Eve and whoever which one that isn't Adam that is the Bio-Dad...
also if this was a thing in like a Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss AU in a Fanon Timeline, this would mean Charlie would be a Auntie...
I will just call Lilith's daughter "Daisy" for now.
it might be possible that Daisy, could of been a Earth Angel and well maybe both her and her siblings that are possibly twins, triplets and or quadruplets.
Cain and Daisy could of ran away, without Lilith and her other siblings knowing, and they ended up starting a new life together as well as a new family.
I had found some info that had to do with Adam and Lilith having children, and well the post I found was by someone named Rebecca and I'm not sure if she would want me to say her full name on here or not...
and while the info does say that Cain and Lilith's Daughter, were half-sister...
it could be possible that Adam could still technically be biologically related, but we know that Seth is Adam's Biological Son who is still my and other people's ancestor.
it would be interesting if in Hazbin Hotel, Adam and Eve were one in the same, which I have some fanfics I read to thank for that...cause I can't help but love that idea and concept.
if Daisy or whatever her name would be, did exist in the Hazbin Hotel Universe...but with no other siblings during that time until many years and centuries later, Charlie would be born.
Daisy would of been born BEFORE Lilith and Lucifer were punished for giving Eve that apple, but in different stories it could be any fruit but in Hazbin Hotel and other works, it is an apple.
Daisy was likely left alone, until one day she met and fell in love with Cain, and for all we know the two of them could of zinged like from Hotel Transylvania.
and at some point, a close descendant maybe like a Granddaughter of Daisy and Cain, could of met one of Seth's descendants and had a "zing" with them too, having fell accidentally in love.
even if Lilith and and Adam were suppose to be together (and it's okay if my theory about them being Adalith once gets debunked. also if some do want to skips some parts of this, keep a eye out for the bold words when scroll down. )
they likely didn't feel a "zing" even if they may have tried to make it work...
but in theory, since Adam and Lilith didn't fall in love but instead their possible daughter from our universe did fall in love with the son of Eve, that is Cain.
I mean it could be possible, not everyone has to agree about it though.
it could mean that some percent of Earth Angels, who are born Humans, would end up being well you know...
and even if the Adam from our universe messed up, he couldn't of known what would happen and yeah if he did, maybe he would of gave Lilith the space she needed...
also it could be possible that if a soul in human form dies a bit too early more than once, even if they are like a Earth Angel or not...
their soul could possibly end up suffering from some form of damage, one of which only being able to recall a small bits and pieces of past life memories but not all of them and some memories might be a bit well would the word be distorted...?
it could be possible that some memories might belong to the Earth Angel's Soul Parent or Parents if they are a fusion Soul.
they would need to figure out which memory from a past life is theirs, and which one is a copy from their Soul Parent.
in theory if a Earth Angel who's Soul has been around for a super long time and centuries even, were to break a small piece of themself and it would later form into a newborn earth angel.
it could be possible the new soul would be very fragile and could later figure this out and realize it does not work 100% the same like other humans who are earth angels...and they might view themself as Defective and a Accident.
well I don't really mind being a Defective Earth Angel...
I guess I can try not to think of myself as a Accident...
and I know that not everyone will listen or take my new belief seriously, and I'm not gonna force convert.
I can still believe in the Heavenly-Father, but I also believe in the Earthly-Mother now as well...
and realizing something is really wrong, that we had been going through a type of imbalance but at the same time the balance is trying to be fixed...
but I can't force people to see the truth, that it could be possible that the Feminine might be hurting.
it could be possible, it's just some may choose to ignore it.
just like there is more to the past and why men ended up with so much power and some of them treating women not so great back in centuries past...
it could be possible that Sera may have harmed the balance without realizing it, by allowing the Extermination to happen to the Sinners.
I mean I still think only half of them should be taken out, but not all of them because not all of them are 100% evil and some are just hurt.
it might not be likely Grandpa King David or Grandpa King Solomon will be mentioned or have counterparts in Hazbin Hotel or Helluva Boss's canon and might only show up in the fanon...
but yeah if anyone deserves to be taken out by Lute and the rest of the Exorcist Angels...
it would be the two disgusting inhuman filth that are Amnon and Jonadab...
even if they would only be in a Fanon Timeline in a AU of Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss...
those two can NOT be redeemed for the harm they had done...
even if King David loved Amnon, but he should of still punished him even if it were just locking him in his room and he was not allowed to leave his room without a escort.
like in the words of Moxxie, "could be a bit more selective."
Charlie and Emily are still in the right on the rules being gray...
and Emily had every right to be upset with Sera for keeping the truth from her...
but I think both the Redemption and Extermination could both work, I mean it could be possible that in Hazbin Hotel, not all the Sinners are bad even if they might seem so.
this could also mean that not all Winners are good, and some half of them shouldn't of went to Heaven in the first place.
this could hint that the balance is in a imbalance.
if Adam and Lilith were once one body, but they became no longer balanced.
Charlie could turn out to be a big destiny, and no NOT as a Antichrist like some may have theorized...but I don't think that is her destiny.
part of her destiny is obviously to save her family the Sinners who can be saved and still have good in them.
and well if some percent of the half of the Sinners are descendants of Cain, it could be possible that Charlie and Cain could be in theory, half-siblings.
I think I'm pulling a Alastor again, well ya know with the Radio.
the signal does seem a bit okay, but the green light keeps flashing a bit, or flickering.
but when I put my hand pointed to it the green light becomes a bit better even if it still flickers a bit.
but then when I physically touch the Radio with my hand.
the sound gets a bit better and the green light flickers a bit but is a bit better I think but there is still a bit of static sound mixed with the talking and music coming from the radio.
well at least it seems to only happen once in a while.
but at least it isn't fully like Alastor's powers, even if it is freaky and yet kind of cool that the freaky thing with the radio at our home, acts the way it does...
and there is that whole my spirit animal is suppose to be a deer...
or I could use the word spirit familiar, I mean some might say "your Native American" and you can't use the word "spirit animal"...
well excuse me for not being like my Native American Ancestors...
I mean both myself and a lot of people have mixed heritages.
but even if there will be some who might think you shouldn't use the whole "spirit animal" for yourself, but I'm just remembering about some post on some other place I had found before, can't remember everything that it said but I know it had something to do with saying how some should stop using spirit animals and it something to do with them not being Native American...
anyway with the whole freaky thing that has been going on with the radio for me, and the whole my spirit animal is suppose to be a deer...
it just gonna remind me a bit more of Alastor.
the green light isn't showing on the radio now, but the sound is a bit faint and small I think...but when I put my hand on it, like you know physically touch it, the sound gets a bit better and the green light shows up again.
still weird, but still interesting...
the song playing is "She's A Wild One"...
I'll keep my other hand on the radio while I use the other to type.
at least until the song is finished...
okay now I can type with both hands again...
just wanted to listen to it without the signal becoming a bit poor if I move my hand off.
anyway besides the whole weird thing with the radio, which once again only happens once a while...
and besides the theory which might be more of a hypothetical theory, like what if it were true that Adam and Lilith were once one in the same before they were split apart and their name use to be Adalith.
the only ones who could of known were the Elders, one of them being Sera.
and Lucifer, Charlie's Dad would not know that Lilith wasn't always Lilith and both she and Adam use to be one and the same person until Sera split their original self Adalith into Adam and Lilith.
and there could be a even bigger secret that has to do with Eve that we don't know of, but maybe we will learn more about her in one of the future seasons.
and if Cain and Abel did appear in a future episode of Hazbin Hotel, we don't know how they will be like but we can't truly say they will show up in the show, they might not or maybe they will.
we will have to wait and see what happens.
anyway there could be some parts of Adam and Lilith's past, that Lilith left out of that story that was in the book that Charlie was reading.
it is possible the book is full of half-truths and half-lies, and either Lilith or Lucifer wanted to protect Charlie from the full truth.
I need to go to bed, I'm going to do one more thing, like editing my last post a bit and well hopefully later or tomorrow I can finally talk about my thoughts about Empath type Epilepsy, I have been meaning to talk about it in a new post, but haven't really got to it...
I think I had talked about it before, about how some energies could possibly be the reason for some Epilepsy but maybe not all of them.
I think I will talk a bit more about the whole Hazbin Hotel theory and the possible truth or myth that has to do with the daughter of Lilith and Adam, having ended up marrying Cain the son of Eve and well technically Adam who can still be considered the true father, biological or not.
I'll talk a bit more about the whole Adalith theory when I come back either later or tomorrow...
hope I can talk more about the theory later...
but right now I need to head to bed...right after I post this and take care of some editing just a bit on that last post...
also yes, some may have already guessed that Amnon and Jonadab aren't my favorites, but I think in a AU in a Fanon Timeline...
if they went to the hotel, and if they are greeted by Alastor who opens the door to see them...
but Alastor should slam the door in their faces...
I know those two wont show up in the canon, but in the fanon they would so be turned down for redemption in the hotel...
they are just the types, I think wouldn't be redeemed like EVER.
Alastor has more of a chance than those two, and I'm still going to view those two as disgusting.
there could be many different Sinners that live in the Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss Universe, that can be redeemed and some who can't because they don't have any small piece of goodness in them.
also I hope some agree about the theory, that it could be possible that half the Winners in Heaven that is in Hazbin Hotel, shouldn't of ended up in Heaven in the first place, but only some percent of Winners do belong in Heaven.
just like some percent of the Sinners that ended up in Heck, should be Winners in Heaven, while only some Sinners do belong in Heck.
so only some half of Winners who ended up in Heaven, but are suppose to go to the Pride Ring, should be Sinners.
while half of the Sinners that do end up in the Pride Ring, but aren't really evil but still have good hearts and maybe never did a truly evil thing in their life...
could of mistakenly been send to the Pride Ring and became a "Sinner" but in fact they were suppose to go to Heaven and become a Winner.
wonder how big of a freakout would happen if it turns out that theory turns out to be true, that half of the Sinners are suppose to be Winners and vice-versa.
also is it possible that Charlie might be Half-Sinner, if she has red blood like the other Sinners do when they were once human even though there are some humans in real life that don't have red blood, but have that is called gold blood...
I think I will talk about the possible theory that Charlie is Half-Sinner & Half-Hellborn another time...but even if that were true, Charlie's Dad Lucifer, may have never viewed her as a Sinner.

For Pride Month, I'm going to be reviewing books with Queer themes.
QUEER DUCKS (AND OTHER ANIMLS) by Eliot Schrefer with illustrations by Jules Zuckerberg
Many people have tried to justify their homophobia by claiming that queer identities and relationships are “not natural” and don’t occur in other living creatures (witness the tired classic “Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve”). However, Queer Ducks shows that same-sex relationships are just as common in the animal kingdom as they are among humans.
The book is as much a memoir about growing up closeted as it is a book about animal sexuality. Schrefer himself knew he was gay at a young age but could not be open about his sexuality at the time. Even when he came out, he initially thought of queer behavior in animals as a dead end, but after looking through scientific articles he discovered numerous examples of same-sex behavior throughout the animal kingdom from primates, deer, insects and more.
Queer Ducks is careful to distinguish between homosexuality and heterosexuality in humans and same-sex behavior in animals. The former two terms specifically refer to human orientations and identities, while the latter is an observation of animal behavior; researchers can’t directly know what goes on in an animal’s head, after all.  The book does describe many animals as being “bisexual”- in this case referring to observed behavior where animals mate with and form close bonds with members of the same sex while still engaging in procreation with the opposite sex.
Male bottlenose dolphins, for example, regularly form strong, affectionate same-sex partnerships, though both will mate with female dolphins. A similar dynamic occurs with Japanese macaques, where females form strong same-sex bonds and will otherwise ignore males except for reproduction.
While Schrefer acknowledges it is hard to say if animals are transgender since humans cannot directly ask them about their mental state, Queer Ducks does talk about physically intersex animals such as “velvet-horn” deer, which have male genitalia but bodies that look more physically female. It should be noted that intersex animals are not the same biologically as hermaphrodites. Intersex animals can have a mosaic of both male and female secondary sexual traits, but they occur in groups where the majority of individuals have only one type of sex organ, such as mammals or birds. Hermaphrodites, on the other hand, are animals where each individual usually has both male and female gametes, such as slugs. Animals that change physical sex during their life- such as parrot fish- are also called hermaphrodites.
Schrefer is careful to explain that Queer Ducks is not arguing that human sexuality should be directly compared to animal sexuality. He is well aware of the long history of bigoted rhetoric equating homosexuality with bestiality. Instead, he clarifies:
“We can no longer argue that humans are alone in their queerness, that nonheteronormative human sexualities and gender identities are unnatural because they don’t exist in the rest of the animal kingdom… Queerness is a well-established and fundamental part of nature. If queerness is ‘wrong,’ then you’d better be willing to say that the entire animal kingdom is wrong.”
Queer Ducks is humorous and snarky but also sensitive and compassionate; the author makes a segue to talk about the usage of the word “queer”, acknowledging that while it has been reclaimed by the LGBTQ+ community, there are still some people who are uncomfortable with that term, and their discomfort is legitimate. The book is also very frank about sex, but never vulgar.  There are jokes about sex, but no “dick jokes”.
You can get a copy of Queer Ducks from HarperCollins
Or through Bookshop or Amazon.

I've always seen the Adam, Lilith and Eve trio as a unit. Adam being the vessel, Lilith being the driving force of the vessel and Eve being the inner nurturer. This was inspired by the sacred texts that the kept insisting that Adam has two sides and that he came into the world as a hermaphrodite before getting separated.
He was made complete. Then, he was separated because he was alone.

I think the hare is a sexy symbol, because people were like “what is this? how tf does it breed??? I guess it just breeds itself and is also a hermaphrodite?? and also a god, obviously (as if that needs specifying),” and then it got folded into early Christianity (still visible in such places as “The Easter Bunny” which isn’t a bunny but a hare) and people decided that the hare = adam-and-eve who were one intersex person naturally, basically greek myth to the left, as Christianity loved/loves to appropriate, but then even that was too much paganism for the Christians who ended up dictating the mainstream, so it kinda fell out of popularity, but basically intersex adam-and-eve who is also maybe a hare is my favourite Christian myth now

Would love to hear you elaborate on God is a SA victim if you’re up for it -Jo blood-is-the-life
Hiii @blood-is-the-life (tagging you so you'll get a notif when I answer). @ray-moo you also wanted to know about this. Also: @prosphoramuncher and @theclonehusband
*sighs* I meant to write this essay about God and androgyny and duality in Genesis 1-3 (which connects into the idea of God as being an sa victim) for a while now. @joanofarcs-stigmata I told you I'd tag you in this essay when I wrote it so here we go.
Okay, so let's start with ha-adam, the human, in Genesis 2. "Then the Yahweh God molded the human, humus from the soil, and breathed into their nostrils the breath of life; and the human became a living being." So there is one human, and as you can tell I side with the interpretation that said human is a hermaphrodite. I don't find in the word "adam" any indication that the human is male, and think rather the pronoun "he" is used just as a default.
Next however, Yahweh looks and "Yahweh God said, 'It is not good for the human to be alone, I shall make them a delivering counterpart. [...] And Yahweh God cast an deep sleep on the human, and they slept, and He took one of their sides and closed over the flesh where it had been, and Yahweh God built the side into a woman and He brought her to the human. And the human said, "This one at last, bone of my bones/and flesh of my flesh,/This one will be called "Woman" for from "Man" she was taken."
So there was 1 human that became 2 humans both man and woman. But then, Genesis 2:24 - the man and woman are married, cling to one another, and become one flesh (@sapphosremains I will respond to your question, but in short: I do believe Adam and Eve had sex in the garden, for the sake of union, pleasure, and expression of love tho not for procreation). So now the 1 that became 2 has become 1 again.
Basically this train of thought then led me to have some admittedly weird thoughts about the tree of life.
So the man and woman are invited to "eat eat" (literally what it says in hebrew lol) from the Tree of Life. Now, because God is the source of all Life, especially Eternal Life, and the Tree of Life gives eternal life to it's consumer, it stands to reason that eating of the Tree of Life is either physically or spiritually (take your pick) taking the wisdom, love, and life-giving presence of The Divine into yourself. Basically the tree is like a proto-Eucharist of sorts. It's communion by consumption. And consummation.
Now here's the weirder part: taking and eating fruit is a very common symbol for sex in the Tanakh, especially in the Song of Songs. The image is typically that of a man "eating" a woman's "fruit", which would put both Adam and Eve in the role, so to speak, of the "man/consumer" and God in the role of the "woman/fruit-giver" (think of like gender as theatre for how this logic works). The reverse is also true though: the point of the tree is to give birth to life inside of the humans, and in that way God is in the role of "man/seed-giver", and the humans are playing the role of "woman/birther".
Focusing on the first image tho, is how we get to the idea that God is a victim of sexual assault. The Tree of Life is not the only tree in the midst of the garden; The Tree of the Knowing of Good and Bad is also there, and since the Garden of Eden is a temple (do not have time to go into rn. Chart here) that means to me that the Tree of the Knowing of Good and Bad is also representative in some way of entering the Holy of Hollies taking of God's divine presence.
Except wrongly. It's like Aaron's sons storming into to God's presence and doing something violate God. But it's also like rape.
Part of the way biblical scholars read the bible is by paying attention to words and language. In Genesis 3 words like "see" and "beautiful/desirable to the eyes/sight as well as "take" and "gave" are all words that get used in similar scenes latter in the narrative. The woman "sees" that the fruit is "beautiful to the eyes" and she "takes" the fruit and "gave" it to her husband.
In Genesis 6 the Sons of God "see" that the daughters of humanity are "beautiful to the eyes" and then they "take" them as wives.
In Genesis 16 Sarai "sees" Hagar her slave girl, "takes" her and "gives" her to her husband. In the following Generation, Leah and Rachel will also "take and give" their slave girls to their husband.
In Genesis 19, it's horrible and the hyperlinks are moreso. There are 2 messengers of Yahweh going into a place that looks like Eden ("the Garden of Yahweh") to rain down fire on the city (the first time fire is mentioned is in Genesis 3 with the 2 cherubim). Incredibly suggestively. They go into Lot's house and all the men in the city, young and old, all the men of the city call out to lot so they can "know" these men (first time "knowledge" shows up is Genesis 2/3 with the Tree and then Genesis 4 with Adam and Eve). By which ofc they mean gang rape. Lot tells them not to do this "ra" thing" (Tree of Tov and Ra, Good and Bad) and offers up his daughters (!!!) instead. Because he is also a horrible guy. Anyway, he tells them to "do to them what is good in your eyes" ("the woman say the fruit was good to the eyes"). The men do not like this. Saying that because Lot is an immigrant he cannot bring justice on them. So they threaten to rape and kill him as well. Thankfully the messengers pull Lot to safety and blind the rapists so they cannot find the door (there is something important about the door but i need to meditate on it). The messengers tell Lot they are going to destroy the city because of "the outcry" which has reached Yahweh ("the outcry" is a reference to Cain's city in Gen 4, and the rape of human women and the violent warrior kings of Genesis 6). So the messengers then "rain down fire from the skies" (same language as the Great Flood which happened because spiritual beings raped human women and had violent children. Now violent human beings are trying to gang rape spiritual beings). After Lot and his daughters escape the city, the duaghters of Lot get him drunk with wine (which is ofc made from fruit) and then rape him (Ham did the same to Noah/Noah's Wife after the Flood).
That was a lot. This literature is incredibly sophisticated and this story is incredibly dense. And dark.
My point here is that one of the main ways the biblical authors talk about the abuse of women, is by using these sets of words: men see that a woman is beautiful to the eyes and take her for themselves. Or a woman sees that her slave girl is beautiful to the eyes and good for childbearing and so they take her and give them to their husbands. Eve and Adam do the same thing. They look at the tree (which I said is God's intimate presence), and then violate God by breaching a boundary that They had laid out. The analogy that came into my head when i first realized that was that of a boyfriend and girlfriend, and the girlfriend wants to wait to have sex, not as in "never" but as in "not yet", but then her boyfriend goes and assaults her. That's the same thing happening in the Garden of Eden before the Tree and why it makes me soooooo mad when people act like God was unjust in her banishment of the humans. All the language used here, is that of rape.
So... yeah. This is poorly written and I probably could've done much better writing this but it does make me very uncomfortable (to put it lightly). But I also think that seeing this in the narrative can be helpful for people who have experience the same thing or something similar. God suffers with her people.
You all owe me a nap and some cookies now lol. God bless <333

I just read about Meghan. Now the question is why would they use people unable to have children like cunter & meghan for these kind of jobs? Is it a bit like Black Widow the avenger? When she finishes the spy training she is sterilised so it's not a burden etc? LOL not that these 2 are even as good at the jobs as the character. But it's intriguing
One, their Intersex condition only remains a secret as long as they obey their Handlers so that serves as leverage. Two, it is a reward for those "Divine Androgynes" that are loyal to the cult. Men are married off to such individuals as a type of ritual humiliation and as a way to reinforce their belief system. According to them, Adam was a hermaphrodite so they seek to emulate his condition because it is the closest thing to perfection. Theirs is a mishmash of many ancient religions collectively known as the Mystery Schools.
