"Aye, it "Might" survive out at zee" to a chorus of laughter at The Blind Helmsmen, but her Captain Hart doesn't say a word. They seem to be making note of every laughing zailor in this place.

A keen look at the ship registry says something more. The Captain of "The Might of the Frail" will become strong. They will become something the other Zailors fear. They will know teeth.

I had a rather "American" realization about Legends Z-A. No its nothing about hamburgers and guns, hear me out-

As an American (apologies), I've been pronouncing it as Zee-Ay. I recently heard a non American poketuber refer to it as Zed-Ay, as I forgot Zed is typically how a lot of places pronounce it, much like H (pronounced Ay-ch here) can be pronounced Hay-ch elsewhere.

Then I had another realization.

Z-A/Zed-Ay? Could make sense if you just read it as is the way you're supposed to in your respective dialect. But then I had a 4 a.m. moment of mispronounced words- Zed-Ay in this case became Zed-Ah, or Zeta depending on how you say it (I've heard both Zay-ta and Zeh-Ta/Zeh-da).

And suddenly the peanut I call a brain started to bounce around in this skull of mine. And mind you, it's almost 5 am, and maybe won't mean much, but hear me out

Zeta- Greek. Not the first time we've had it in a Pokemon title. Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, plus Episode Delta. All of these were Gen 6, despite being in Hoenn. In fact, Zeta is the 6th letter of the Greek alphabet.

Zeta is represented by the lowercase ζ. Capital? Ζ.

Yall it fits. Idk wtf it means but I might have stumbled upon something neat by complete sleep deprived accident.

If we follow this rabbit hole to the Ratatosk theory I posited a while back (summary: i basically theorized Zygarde is Z, so A probably would be a new Pokemon like X and Y were with Xerneas and Yveltal, and Ratatosk- a gossipy squirrel- comes from the same story of the Nordic world tree that the XYZ legends are based from), perhaps it could also tie to the ORAS primal forms to some degree? If for nothing else than to bring back Primal Kyogre and Groudon. Again, it is Gen 6.

A guide to neopronouns, from ae to ze

CNN takes a look at alternative pronouns for nonbinary and transgender people found in the English language. CNN follows the advice of´ the Human Rights Campaign.

xe/xyr (commonly pronounced zee/zeer) I asked xyr to come to the movies. Xe said yes! ze/zir or ze/hir (commonly pronounced zee/zeer or zee/heer) The teacher graded zir paper today, and ze got an A! Ze said hirself that I’m hir favorite neighbor. fae/faer (commonly pronounced fay/fair)  Fae told me that faer best friend is in town this week. ey/em/eir  (commonly pronounced aye/em/air) I’m taking em to the park today. Ey wants to bring eir camera to capture the garden for emself! ae/aer (commonly pronounced aye/air) Ae is my best friend — most of aer’s weekday evenings are spent at my house.

According to the Wikipedia the Gender Census, an online community survey, reported in 2022 that xe/xem/xyr were the most popular neopronouns among those surveyed, used by 9.9% of its 39,765 respondents.

We would like to add that a very common pronoun used by many nonbinary people is they/them/theirs used as a singular. This one has the advantage that it may be used for all people, which may come in handy if you are unsure about what pronouns to use.

Singular they had actually emerged by the 14th century as a third-person pronoun, about a century after the plural they.

Different languages have different neopronouns. A popular one in Sweden and Norwegian is hen, which is inspired by the Finish personal pronoun hän. The Finish language does not have gendered pronouns.

In Swedish and Norwegian hen can be used to refer to nonbinary people but also in a context where the gender of the person referred to is unknown or irrelevant.
