Dealing With Digestive Issues After Being In Emotional Turmoil:
11/28/24
I’ve had digestive issues off and on since covid and let me tell you about my journey and give advice. During covid, I started with burning in my stomach/esophagus and tried to see a doctor but they wanted to do a video call visit not an in person visit and all they wanted to talk about was “covid”. I felt I wasn’t getting any help AT ALL and started diagnostics on my own…. (Which isn’t always wise but sometimes you have to)
I treated myself as if I had an ulcer cuz of the symptoms and I lost random weight all at once. I knew nothing about digestion health or emotional abuse. As treating myself with an “ulcer” sure, I got a little better but randomly at times the symptoms came back. YEARS I’ve struggled to know truly how to manage my body…. I’m still a work in progress!!!!
Just in the last 3/4 months, I’ve found women’s digestive gummies with probiotics AND I started eating more fiber. HUGE DIFFERENCE in my body. Theeeeen, last week I ran out of the gummies and thought I would be ok till I got more…. Wow, immediately I struggled again over the weekend 😮 So, no I have to live on probiotics for right now.
stress also hurts you physically. You can’t just eat all junk. You have to eat good proteins and fibers. Avocados and Peanut butter are super hard to digest although they are delicious lol I love both and sometimes I let myself indulge but sometimes I pay for it too. 🫤
In the show “Everybody loves Raymond”, Robert says his ex wife gave him “Spastic Colon” which is basically IBS… but it shows him chugging down Pepto bismol and I gotta be honest…. That stuff does NOTHING but make it harder to use the bathroom and it turns your tongue black often if you drink too much. (Back then maybe probiotics wasn’t popular) You only have heartburn when you keep eating food that won’t digest correctly… pay attention to your body!!!! Nausea also accompanies when you can’t digest your food. Don’t eat too much fiber that will also hurt you but eat a healthy amount. Some cereals like Raisin Bran has fiber and also having black beans with a meal helps too 😜
Your soul, mind and body are one. When you’ve been in emotional turmoil for so long, your body is reacting to your emotions and it worries!! Trust me!! Please take care of yourself and digestive issues are just ONE of the health issues you encounter when you’ve been in emotional turmoil for so long ❤️🩹 (I was with 3 different partners) Hope this helps! You’re not alone!!
Digestive Issues symptoms? Mostly feeling overly full, heartburn sometimes, can even have a hard time swallowing if your esophagus is raw, cramps, nausea, struggles to use the bathroom normally, sluggish and feeling no energy. Also, BEWARE; heartburn can disguise itself as hunger so you’ll keep eating. Being thirsty can also make you think you’re hungry. Drink LOTS OF WATER! Lower your caffeine and junk food intake. You’ll see a big difference in yourself. Keep active! Even walking around your house more or walk outside on your street. ❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹 All the best to you!!
oh AND carbonated drinks… really hard on your esophagus. I gave up drinking soda pop altogether and I’ve seen a change there. 👍🏻 Years ago I was a heavy Mountain Dew drinker but that stuff is sweet poison!! It’s sooo bad for you 😝😝😝😝

This is part 14 of the "What if Yuu didn't want to go back?" Series!
(I, the author of this work, do not consent to this work being crossposted/translated without my knowledge or used to train an AI, ever.)
Masterlist
"A nightmare? Both of them? I've heard of familiars having similar dreams, given how common it is, but it's generally accepted that having a familiar is a nightmare deterrent." Vil pauses, his face pensive. "Generally, though, having a familiar means you won't have any nightmare you can't be woken from. And you're sure it was a bad dream?"
"Positive. He kept begging some unknown figure for help; it was something like 'please, make this stop' over and over again, quietly."
"Hmm. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I'll see what I can do."
"You know, Roi de Poison, I have seen Monseur Smoke go and punch trees quite often, until he bleeds. Every time, his attacks last one half-hour, if uninterrupted."
"That does sound like it could be related." Vil turns his head towards me and Grim rather suddenly, as though he forgot we were there. "Yuu, Grim, go and eat. You need the energy, and you've already done enough here. Make sure to drink some water; you two haven't been drinking enough."
Grim and I follow Vil's instruction and leave. Breakfast is avocado toast, which I'm pretty sure is our housewarden's way of making sure everybody eats a decent amout of something green instead of living on fish like the whole dorm seems to try.
While the ice water is nice, I can't bring myself to enjoy it. What of my friends? What of Ace and Deuce, with their tyrant housewarden? What of Korrak and Mandible, with their unknown nightmares?
"H-Hey, Yuu."
"Hi, Korrak! What's up?" Looking into his smokey grey eyes, I can understand why Rook calls him 'Monseur Smoke.'
"Not much, but I'm p-p-pretty sure we have t-t-t-t-to join a club. What club are you joining?"
"Myeh? We have to join a club?"
"Yeah, by the end of the week," Mandible adds, "have you seen the options?"
"Uhh, nope." Grim and I speak in unison this time.
"Well, w-w-we can all g-go and look at the opt-t-t-tions lat-t-t- Mandible, you know what I was g-g-going t-t-t-"
"Sure do. Anyway, do you two wanna go to the courtyard later today and look at the options?"
"Sure! Sounds fun."
Korrak looks relived. "Thanks, bud. You've always b-b-been there f-for me." Korrak turns to Grim and I. "Th-th-the speech issue is w-w-w-worse when I haven't eat-t-t-en."
Grim and I nod. "Isn't everything?"
"Fair point." Mandible seems to share Grim's sentiment. I hand Korrak a piece of toast, and he starts adding butter and avocado almost immediately.
When Grim and I get to class, we discover a well-rested Ace with no collar on.
"Yeah, housewarden Riddle must've had a change of heart or something. He's stopped enforcing most of the rules, and now Ace's punishment for stealing is helping Trey bake the tarts for the party. We still can't play croquet after 5:00pm, though."
I smile. Grim and I were right. Riddle did just need a hug and some time to himself.
The rest of class goes by without incident. It would be boring if I weren't learning the history of an entirely new world, but, hey, I'm in luck!
Alchemy sees me successfully using magic to catch a glass jar that got knocked off of a shelf. It "certainly would've shattered" on the stone floor if not for my "catlike reflexes-" or so Crewel says, anyway.
To be honest, I didn't even realize I knew a spell that could save that jar. I just panicked and attempted one I've read about. Good for me!
P.E. sucks, as usual. Ace stays conscious, though! Not without a bad sunburn that got him sent to the nurse anyway, but baby steps.
Lunch is tomato soup, which is the first time the main dish of a Pomefiore meal does not and cannot include fish. Even this morning, there were pieces of salmon for the avocado toast.
"So, Epel, w-what club are you in?"
"Spelldrive. Cain't wait fer practice t' start up, lemme tell ya! Hopefully I'll git bigger an' stop lookin' so-"
"Epel, Vil's in the room." Epel, despite having just been interrupted by four people, one of whom is a cat and another of whom is an opossum, does not delay his speaking. That's gotten pretty normal, after all.
"Whoop, sorry. Thanks, y'all. 'Nyway, I'd jus' like t' be a little less girly, y'know?"
"I g-get that. I got mist-t-t-aken for a girl all the t-t-t-"
"Take another bite of your soup, Korrak."
"Thanks, Mandible." He obeys. "Anyway, people u-used t-t-to think I was a girl all the t-t-time. They'd p-pick on me 'cause of that- you should've seen th-the looks on their faces when I beat the shit out of them."
Korrak laughs. I recall what I heard Rook say about Korrak punching trees until he bleeds, and spilling no blood for half an hour every time. Guess that's just what he's like.
Korrak doesn't strike me as a violent person so much as the retalliative sort. Why would he be violent? He doesn't start fights, he doesn't bully people, and he doesn't tolerate bullshit.
"It was always real f-funny, watching them s-s-suff-"
"Korrak." Our housewarden now stands tall behind the Korrak's confident figure.
"Uh, when I beat the bully out o-of them."
"Perfect." With that, Vil walks off. I wonder, why did it take him so long to react? Then again, this room is full of teens. Epel can't be the only potty mouth.
Korrak watches Vil go and shrugs. "That's life, I s-suppose." His stutter has noticeably improved since eating more of his soup, but is still present.
"Do you fight often, Korrak?"
"Only when I g-gotta. Kids back a-at my elementary school called me th-the gas st-t-t-ation, cuz I w-was nice t-t-to have around unt-il there were s-sparks."
Yeah, that makes sense. It's a little hard to imagine people pissing him off at all, but especially recalling the tree-punching thing. After all, Korrak stands tall and confident, with square shoulders and a smirk that suggests anyone who goes looking for trouble with him will find more of it than they bargained for. There's a spark in his eyes, like the sun peaking out from smoke, that makes it obvious: you fuck with Korrak, you've fucked up.
He's not shy, that's my point. He is kinda cute though, what with the hair- ashy purple and super fluffy. Combine that with his beautiful eyes and some teenage jealousy, and you've probably got at least one kid challenging him to make sure he stays away from their lover.
"Myah, we have class!"
Everybody's eyes widen. Evidently, the whole room forgot we aren't eating dinner.
Then, from various voices accross the room: "run!"
Luckily, Grim and I make it to class on time. Biology class is about morays today- specifically, the differences between cold sea morays and warm sea morays.
According to Trein, there's a trench that separates the sea. Morays who lay eggs on the south side lay two connected egg sacks. One side only has babies with magical left eyes, and the other only has babies with magical right eyes. The babies in each side fight until only one is left, and the survivors are twins.
Warm sea morays have nothing of the sort. Eggs can't be carried over the trench because the temperature change kills them, and keeping them on the side they weren't laid on requires keeping them at the temperature of the other side.
Cold sea morays can lay warm sea eggs, and vice versa. It's all location, and it's all very facinating. But, alas, class cannot go on forever.
MacGyvering shows us using drills as motors for fans, boats, and a variety of other things. Not really, though- we're making blueprints. Reasonable enough, if you ask me.
Finally, class is over. I hold Grim and carry him to the courtyard so he can sleep on the way. Korrak and Mandible are already waiting.
They wave. I wave back. Korrak motions to me to stand over by him, and I follow his lead. Beside him is a big list of all the clubs, pinned to the wall.
"I was thinking of joining the track and field club, but I'm not really sure. What do you think?"
"Well... what kind of stuff do you like?"
"The science club sounds fascinating. I've always liked all of it, anyway, but..."
"But what?"
"Well, I want to be more physical."
"You don't have to be in a club to use the gymnasium, Korrak."
"Yeah, great point. Science Club it is!" With that, he starts filling out an application that apparently just needed a few more fields to be filled in.
"Myeh?.. what time is... oh, I took a nap." Grim yawns, putting his, frankly, adorable little teeth on display. "What club are we joining?"
"I don't know yet. That's why we're here, Grim."
Grim hops onto the ground, does the iconic kitty stretch, and hops onto the bench. Before I can wonder why, he jumps onto Korrak's shoulder- the one that doesn't have Mandible on it- and onto my shoulder from there.
"You can just ask me to pick you up, Grim."
"Where's the fun in that?"
I sigh and roll my eyes. What clubs are there? Board Games, Mountain Lovers, Gargoyle Studies... out of those, Board Games seem like the best option.
"Where are the applications?" Korrak hands me one.
"Hey, you didn't even tell me what club you picked! We're both going, so we both need to approve!"
"I picked the board games club, Grim."
"Ooh. Sounds fun, I'm in!"
I grin. "We sure are!"

MAMACAT AND THE FINE FINE VERY FINE TRIP TO ATLANTA
Here I sit, ensconced in CatCora’s Kitchen on Concourse A, two hours till boarding, Bloody Mary Pre-Flight Tranquilizer Beverage in place, and lunch yet to come. They’re rocking excellent tunes up in here. I was singing along earlier to “What’s So Funny (‘Bout Peace Love and Understanding”) earlier, because really, what is so funny about it?
This great big huge amazing airport is absolutely thronged on this Monday afternoon. There are the usual vacationers, reluctant-looking business travelers, folks like me returning from conventions, and myriads who were stranded due to the crazy weather the last couple of days. This joint is jumpin’. And for this little wanderer, the noises & voices of all those people and the high energy make everything just right. Travel is Life!! Danny Rojas!!
Yes, fellow Ted Lasso fans, as usual, I am simultaneously excited about the trip and concerned about my carbon footprint. Well whaddaya gonna do… OK, I’ll tell you later about one thing. Right now I want to wear the #HattitudeOfGratitude for a minute.
MamaCat is wearing the #HattitudeOfGratitude for the past five days and all the adventures. This was one of the best trips ever. It was my second VOAtlanta, and this time, NO FOOD POISONING! Also, this time, more people that I knew! Plus more fun! And that may seem counterintuitive to you, that I should raise the banner of fun over what is essentially a business convention. But only if you’re not a member of the voiceover community. The Businessier we get, the Funner we are. And yes, we all know those aren’t real words.
A year ago, I decided to just go see what this here VOAtlanta thingy was all about and what had happened to Voiceover Itself in the years since I was focused on it. Well, a LOT, I found out! And the Audio Monster in my soul was well pleased. Everything I had missed about radio broadcasting, daily production, funny smart humans, the madnesses of commercial copy; had all evolved while I was off doing theatre and being in a couple of films and whatnot. I was so pulled into all of it. Even when I wasn’t feeling all that hot, I had gained so much from it that I did the only thing I could possibly do: I went home and started for real creating that basement production room I had wanted to build since Analog days.
And I don’t know how the other old people feel about things, but I for one am super glad that we’ve time-traveled into the age of the internet. Because that’s when this got insane. When the pandemic shut us away from one another, and everybody was getting into jigsaw puzzles, genealogy, and Zoom calls, the professional voiceover industry went online too.
WE INTERRUPT THIS BLOG POST FOR THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: When at Hartsfield Jackson, it’s all about the Grilled Avocado Salad with Shrimp at CatCora’s Kitchen, gate A-25. DO it! You’ll thank me later.
And now, back to our regularly-scheduled MamaCat blog, already in progress…
So now it’s totally a cult. That’s the punchline. Voiceover is a cult. ONE OF US ONE OF US ONE OF US.
No, silly, it’s an industry, and one with high professional standards. My #HattitudeOfGratitude is on, and it's looking tall ‘n’ flashy, cats and kittens, because apparently the industry will let me play too. SO grateful. This was one of those trips where something immensely personal went immensely wrong right before I had to leave, and so instead of sailing out the door with confidence and swagger, there was big sorrow. I’d meant to be off and free as a bird and ready to give, but instead I was more defeated and needy. It was a bit of a rough go. But nothing would have been solved by staying, there were a lot of non-malleable trip details in place, and so to Atlanta, me little droogies!
So if last year was about trying to get some good out of a weekend plagued with intestinal sadness, this year was about showing up when Life Itself has taken a bite out of your resilience and you aren’t certain that you can. In fact, it may wind up being a story in a presentation I find myself working on. I stood up Saturday in an “X-Session” and announced (when it was my turn to intro myself), “I am a disruptive influence and a complete fraud! I have literally failed at everything!” and that’s the moment I realized that among my other weirdass karma, it falls to me to be an example of re-invention and revival. My good old friend, the Phoenix bird, serves me well here.
As it was, I was far more needy these past few days than I had originally anticipated. Emotionally close to the surface. A wee bit less steady-on than one likes to be. And there they were. The hugs, and the huggers. And the waffles.
No, I did not eat delicious waffles on this trip, even though there was a Waffle House full of 'em between my hotel and the conference location. Waffles are sometimes people. There’s the most wonderful Clubhouse on the ap, called “The Working VO Actor,” filled with some of the brightest pros in the industry, and while I am not certain that the Origin Story of how waffles and voiceover came to be associated one with the other will ever be fully known to humankind, I can nevertheless confirm that such a relationship, the people, the waffles, and the hugs all do, in fact, Exist. Can confirm. And they were among the many who fed me, the hungriest bee, all weekend long.
Oh, I also accomplished the basics: meet people, get to know folks, nourish existing relationships, start new ones, attend exhaustingly brilliant classes and panels, and get to the head-is-spinning stage. But mainly, what I experienced was Love. Everywhere I turned, there was someone to hug, someone who wanted to listen, someone who wanted me to listen to them; there was family.
Don’t get MamaCat wrong; I actually did industry things. I laughed and made others laugh. Food and drink and music occurred. But wow. That Love thing. The ability to call strangers “family” and have it be believed and honored. Yikes, cats & kittens. Not every industry is gonna give ya that.
Geeeez, the flight is SO delayed. But that salad was heaven and the drinky is almost finished.
Meow, darlings.

Like, is the gist "Real life pedophilia/incest/rape is bad, and stories saying these things are good are bad, but including these topics in a story isn't inherently bad, so the people being like 'hey, maybe Ao3 shouldn't have so much kiddie porn there's an entire category called "Underage"' are just overreacting and making things worse?" Because it feels like you're saying, "your negative reaction to this stuff is valid, but also you're annoying and prudish and bad and really you aren't valid."
So here’s the thing: it really does not sound like you're asking this question because you want my answer, it sounds like you want to be angry with me and have a fight. And fair enough! I'm not terribly interested in a fight, but apparently this is my day to dive into this topic as thoughtfully and honestly as I can be. Maybe I'll say something you haven't already heard from other people before. Maybe not! Only you, anonymous asker, know that.
To begin with, you got part of the gist right. Real life rape (including child abuse/child sexual abuse as well as incest) is bad. Stories about rape, about underage sex, and about incest, are stories.
They're stories. They're pixels on a screen. They're not real. Whether they claim that rape is good, or bad, or sexy, or melodramatic, or life-destroying, or a normal Tuesday afternoon. They're stories.
And having a negative reaction to them is valid. Stories can stir up powerful emotions in people. It is absolutely, 100%, fair and valid and even normal for there to be certain tropes, plot elements, events, and kinds of content that make you upset and that you never want to see in a story you read, ever. You don't have to want to read about sex. You don't have to want to read any of it. That doesn't make you bad.
There are tropes, plot elements, events, and kinds of content that upset me. There are stories I won't read. The same is true of literally everyone else I know. Even though I know the stories aren't real. Even though I know the things happening in them are happening to fictional characters, who do not exist, who I cannot protect and who also cannot be harmed because they're not real. Even then, I can be made sad and scared and upset and hurt by reading those stories. And that is okay and that is valid and I am not bad or wrong for being upset about the story I've read, and neither are you.
But that doesn't mean the story doesn't have value to somebody else. That doesn't mean the story isn't important to somebody else.
What I see most often coming from antis, possibly even including yourself, is an overwhelming desire to protect. They want to keep themselves and others--possibly people they know, possibly hypothetical people they may never meet--safe from being hurt by these stories. And that desire to protect, also, is normal. It's even admirable! The problem, though, the thing that does more harm than good, is when that desire to protect drives people to lash out against things that matter to other people.
There is a difference between actual rape and stories about rape. There is a difference between a story that could theoretically hurt somebody, someday (which is all stories, always), and a story that hurts you personally. And there is a difference between a story that hurts you personally, and a story that is inherently poisonous to everyone who touches it.
We know--absolutely, scientifically, incontrovertibly--that stories about rape do not make people rapists. Yes, even the stories where the rape is there to be sexy. Even stories where the person being raped is a child. Even then. Fiction is not the same thing as normalization; again, there are far smarter people who have written far more extensively on that topic than I, and next time I come across something that goes more into detail on this point I promise I will reblog it. If this really is the thing you're afraid of, I may not be the right person to convince you that this is an unfounded fear, but I know someone out there can elaborate on it.
(Unfounded, which is not the same thing as invalid. My mother's claustrophobia is unfounded; it flares up in many situations where there's no physical threat whatsoever, where she has plenty of space to move and air to breathe. It's still real. It still chokes her. It's still valid, she is not bad or broken to feel that way, and she still can't drive through certain tunnels. The fear is real. But the thing she's afraid of can't physically hurt her, and that is worth knowing in terms of how she deals with it.)
We know, absolutely, scientifically, and incontrovertibly, that stories about rape and many, many, many other things can hurt and even traumatize their readers. Even though the situation you're reacting to is not real and you receive no physical injury, you can still be hurt by it. The key word there, though, is readers. The fact that the horror genre is out there terrifying people who enjoy being terrified for fun does not damage me unless I do something stupid and try listening to the Magnus Archives again and end up tense and miserable and paranoid for the rest of the week. The fact that guacamole is apparently delicious to everybody else in the world does not hurt me unless I do something stupid and order the wrong thing at a restaurant, and end up itchy and miserable with a little trouble breathing for the rest of the night.
The fact that there are, yes, tens of thousands of fics on AO3 in which characters under the age of 18 have sex? It can't hurt you. Those fics do not hurt you by existing. They can only hurt you if you read them. They can only hurt anyone who reads them. That's why there is an 'Underage' tag--and it's worth noting, 'Underage' is a warning, not a category. Nobody wants you to get hurt reading the wrong fic, any more than the sushi chef wants my throat to swell up because I ordered something with avocado. Literally nobody wants that.
The flip side, of course, is that you hating each and every one of those fics individually and as a group doesn't actually hurt me, or anyone else who writes, reads, or enjoys them. By itself. You can hate anything you like, and fic writers can write anything they like, and it all comes out in the end, more or less. Except.
Except that reading fic is always, entirely, 100% opt-in, and online harassment isn't even opt-out. Some antis have a nasty habit of going after writers whose content they don't like; climbing into inboxes and comments sections, calling those writers nasty names, throwing around cruelties and aggression and insults. I know that's not the same thing as simply disliking a genre, or even passively disagreeing with its existence (although disliking a genre and disagreeing with its right to exist are also very different things). I know not all antis do that. I don't know you, anon, but based on the speed and aggressiveness of this response to my last post, I can't help but wonder if you would do that.
And that does hurt people. Just like it might hurt you if someone threw a bunch of content that makes you uncomfortable into your inbox. Including the harasser, actually--because getting into fights with strangers on the internet about things that make you angry, sad, defensive, and upset isn't good for anybody. Including both you and me.
Anyway, after yet another lengthy ramble, let's get the tl;dr response to your ask here: nobody is ever bad or wrong for disliking certain content in their stories, no matter what that content is. You and your emotions are valid. The "overreacting and making things worse" part isn't about what you feel, but what you do with it. Constantly engaging with places where the thing that upsets you will probably show up, even to argue and try to fight it, will make things worse in the sense that now you're spending way more time thinking about this thing that makes you upset and angry, thereby leaving you more upset and angry. Getting together with a bunch of your upset, angry friends to make your feelings everybody else's problem? Makes fandom a more toxic place for everyone else involved.
Don't read stuff that's going to hurt you. Don't make other people read stuff that's going to hurt them. That's the whole thing, really.

Hi there!! I'm sending this message from Galar, I'm an aspiring poison type trainer ^-^ I recently came into possession of an adolescent croagunk. His trainer is moving away and unfortunately can't afford to take care of him anymore, so I volunteered to take him on board. He's very sweet, if a little mischievous, and I've named him Sid.
I know croagunk and toxicroak have a dry skin texture, and as the winter has been bad, I want to prevent him from drying out further or his skin being damaged in the cold. Are there any moisturising products or natural remedies you could suggest that could help?
Curse the winter season, making everybody’s Pokémon have dry skin!
So, where Croagunk are amphibians, their skin needs are slightly different from those of, let’s say, reptilian Pokémon, with the biggest example of this being the skin’s permeability. The skin of amphibian Pokémon is highly-permeable, which means that liquids, such as moisturizers and lotions, are easily absorbed. For this reason, many amphibian Pokémon owners try to stay away from moisturizers that contain a lot of chemicals, as certain ones (while typically completely safe) can cause small issues if high quantities are absorbed.
If you’re looking for an off-the-shelf moisturizer for Sid, then my personal recommendation would be anything from the Froakie Friends brand. It’s an all-natural grooming line with products that have been specifically formulated for amphibian Pokémon (though they work quite well on non-amphibians as well.) If I remember correctly, you can actually go to their site and request a small testing kit of their most popular products and they’ll send you one for free, so there’s honestly no reason to not try it out!
As for home remedies, I’ve heard oatmeal baths work quite well, as does petroleum jelly, honey, and avocado. Making sure that Sid stays hydrated will also help keep him hydrated from the inside out.

Avocadoes are terribly unsustainable, everybody knows that. Farming them causes deforestation, sucks up precious water, and poisons local people with toxic chemicals. Ginny Weasley's given up trying to tell her friends that their hip and trendy avo toast is killing the planet, so she's found her way to a protest where she can let her big cardboard placard do the talking for her. Except now she's horribly out of her depth, and she doesn't know how much longer she can make it without having a panic attack. Fortunately, the gorgeous blonde with the spaced-out look and a face full of piercings seems to know exactly what's going through her mind, and exactly how to distract her.

WHY you shouldn’t feed these 10 foods to your dog
Dogs might think they’re human, but their physiology is not like ours. Humans might eat a wide variety of foods with little concern, but there are some very common human foods which you should not feed to your canine companion. You’ve probably seen the foods on this list before, but this is WHY these foods should not be fed to dogs.
Chocolate, Theobromine and Caffeine:
Everybody’s heard that chocolate is bad for dogs, and it’s true. Chocolate contains a compound called Theobromine. Theobromine is a type of compound called a methylxanthine, and another methylxanthine you might be more familiar with is caffeine. We know quite a lot about these compounds, as humans use them both medicinally and recreationally. The long version is that they all inhibit phosphodiesterase and antagonise adenosine receptors. The short version is that they increase muscle activity, including the heart, and stimulate the central nervous system.
This presents as dogs that have fast and irregular heart rates, high body temperatures and increased muscle activity that can progress to seizures.
It takes a reasonable amount of chocolate to poison a dog. One M&M isn’t going to do it. For a 35kg dog it’s going to take at least 3500mg of theobromine, which is about 5kg of typical milk chocolate. But only 1.2kg of dark chocolate or 600g of cooking chocolate, which is possible.
A 10kg dog needs much less. 1.5kg of milk chocolate would do it, which is only about 3 large Easter Bunnies, or 300g of dark chocolate, which is one packet from the cooking isle.
Chocolate is super tasty, dogs will absolutely gorge themselves on all chocolate available, so it’s not too difficult to poison smaller dogs with it.
And even if you get the dog through the toxicity, the high fat content of chocolate can go on to cause other gastrointestinal problems.
Onions & Garlic:
Yes, I said onions AND garlic. All allium species contain the same potentially toxic compounds, whether raw or cooked. That goes for spring onions too, it’s just really difficult to convince a dog to eat enough of them to be poisoned. These plants cause a Heinz body anaemia by inducing oxidative damage to the surface of the red blood cells, and for some reason breeds of Japanese origin like the Akita and Shiba Inu seem particularly prone to this toxicity.
It usually takes 10 to 15g per kg of body weight to poison a dog, but those breeds can be affected by as little as 5g per kilo. So for a big, 35kg dog, that’s about three medium sized onions.
Poisoning can happen all in one go, or it can happen by eating small amounts over a longer period of time, which is why it’s infuriating to see garlic being suggested as a natural remedy for things.
Bad cases will have to be treated with a blood transfusion as there is no direct antidote. And for interest, there are other things that can cause Heinz body anaemia too, like zinc.
Macadamia nuts:
You know how everything in Australia has a reputation for being deadly? Well the Macadamia is the one native Australian plant that has successfully become a mainstream agricultural crop. And it’s poisonous to dogs. Legitimately, for some weird reason Macadamia nuts cause progressive paralysis in dogs. We don’t know what the active toxin is, but we do know it’s present in both raw and cooked nuts, and as little as 5 nuts can cause paralysis in a 20kg dog. Sometimes the dogs develop vomiting and joint swelling in addition to paralysis, but most recover well with supportive treatment.
Grapes, Raisins and Sultanas:
This is another weird toxin when it comes to dogs, and it’s especially weird in that we don’t know what the toxic compound actually is. Grapes, raisins, sultanas and foods that contain them can cause idiosyncratic (unpredictable) reactions which result in kidney failure by ischaemic injury (lack of blood flow). It’s completely unpredictable which dogs will develop the reaction, and it’s independent of dose with as little at 10 grapes causing the toxicity.
In addition to being unpredictable, you really don’t want to mess around with it. Grape toxicity when it happens has approximately a 50% mortality rate.
Yeast dough:
A dog can absolutely eat cooked bread, but raw dough with yeast in it to make it rise presents some interesting problems. First is that the fermenting yeast produces ethanol, which can be toxic on its own. Second is that the yeast can and will continue to ferment inside the dog’s stomach where it’s nice and warm. This produces more ethanol, but can also cause bloating and the sticky dough is very difficult to remove by vomiting.
Chewing gum and Xylitol:
Xylitol is a sugar substitute used in many ‘sugar free’ products, of which chewing gum is the most common, but more and more foods contain it these days. It’s found naturally in many plants such as berries, but ingesting a large amount of it, about 75mg per kg, will cause profound hypoglycemia. Larger doses can also cause liver failure, and it’s only about 50:50 whether treated dogs will survive that. Dogs with hypoglycemia can look drunk with symptoms like vomiting and difficulty walking.
For a 35kg dog, 10 to 15 pieces of sugar free gum could cause this toxicity, and they will happily eat the entire packet if given the chance.
Alcohol (ethanol):
While humans indulge in this recreational plant toxin, we have spent a considerable amount of our history adapting to its use and some human populations have evolved a higher tolerance than others. Dogs have not done this, but they will consume it either in alcoholic beverages that humans give them for a laugh, or by consuming rotting fruit that’s fallen off trees. Yeast dough can contain it too.
Signs are more or less what you would expect for a drunk dog - sleepy and wobbly, but can progress to low body temperature, metabolic acidosis and some will stop breathing.
The median lethal dose of alcohol for a dog is about 1 standard drink for 2kg of body weight, orally. That’s an average, but some dogs will be more severely affected than others, and complications can still occur at lower doses.
And remember, wine is made from grapes, which can and will cause unpredictable kidney failure, so that’s an extra No.
Stone Fruit:
The flesh of fruits like apricots, peaches and cherries are fine to feed in moderation, but it’s the large seed inside the fruit that causes most of the problems. These seeds do contain cyanide if cracked open, but the more common problem we see is not a toxicity, but gastrointestinal obstruction.
Some of these seeds are small enough to swallow, but large enough to cause a blockage either at the pylorus, where the stomach empties into the intestine, or in the small intestine itself. This will obviously vary with the size of the pip and the size of the dog. A cherry pit isn’t going to cause much drama, and a large dog like a labrador might poop out a series of peach pips, but a small dog like a terrier may not be so lucky.
Avocado:
Avocados deserve a special mention because not only are they a stone fruit with a large stone that would cause an obstruction in most dogs if eaten, the flesh of the fruit also contains a toxin caused persin. Persin is very toxic to some species of birds and herbivores and will cause inflammation, swelling and cardiac arrhythmias. In dogs, it would be unlikely to see more than vomiting from this toxin. However, avocado is also relatively high in fat for a fruit, and fatty foods are also not ideal to feed most dogs and cats.
Fatty Foods:
The most common reason for me to see gastroenteritis in the vet clinic is a dog eating too much fatty food, but it will also potentially cause pancreatitis and that’s even more of a concern. We can tolerate dogs with some diarrhoea or a single vomit after eating something unusual - even humans do that sometimes - but pancreatitis will cause significant pain as well as nausea, and can progress to sepsis, disseminated intravascular coagulation, diabetes or death.
Dogs vary in terms of how much fat they can handle in their diet, with some being much more sensitive than others, and this sensitivity usually increases with age. For most dogs, moderation is the key, not gorging on fatty scraps that the humans didn’t want to eat or barbeque leftovers.
So now you know why these foods aren’t recommended for dogs. We’re not just saying it for no reason, even for the unexpected ones like grapes and macadamias.

Eating for Kidney Health: 5 Tips for Kidney Cancer Awareness
Kidneys come two by two, yet these organs are so persevering that the vast majority need simply one to carry on with a sound life. Along these lines, this month, National Kidney Cancer Awareness Month, we should be twice as acceptable to our kidneys by eating brilliant nourishments for the two of them.
The kidneys work with each beat of the heart, cleaning our blood of waste, poisons and abundance water at a pace of a large portion of a cup for every moment. That amounts to 150 quarts of blood a day. For setting: Picture your fridge loaded up with almost 38 gallons of milk. (Furthermore, in the time you have taken to peruse this up until now, your kidneys have cleaned about ¼ cup of blood.)
All that work invigorates a craving for blood-solid nourishments that shield your kidneys from malignant growth. In 2020, 73,750 instances of kidney disease are relied upon to be analyzed – about 62% in men and 38% in ladies – as per the American Cancer Society. Almost 15,000 individuals will bite the dust from the infection.
The most widely recognized type of kidney disease, called renal cell disease, happens when threatening tumors structure in the minuscule channels that spotless blood. Side effects remember blood for the pee, back or side torment, and a protuberance in the midsection.
5 Diet Tips for Cancer-Fighting Kidneys
All that we devour goes through our kidneys and influences their wellbeing. Truth be told, driving contributing components of kidney malignancy are cigarette smoking and heftiness. This is the reason what we eat is instrumental to acceptable kidney wellbeing.
So be prepared to work well for your kidneys. Following are five eating regimen tips to treat your kidneys well during Kidney Cancer Awareness Month, and consistently.
Fish for low phosphates. Harmed kidneys experience difficulty eliminating phosphates, a mineral found in many fish, egg yolks and certain grains. Ocean bass conveys moderately low degrees of phosphorous while conveying significant levels of sound omega-3 fats. Bulgur (an oat food) and buckwheat are delicious options in contrast to high-phosphorous entire grains, and they likewise give helpful nutrient B and magnesium. These are acceptable choices for individuals at higher danger of kidney disease.
Be berry revolutionary. Berries are pressed with cell reinforcements that could shield cells from malignancy causing free extremists. Blueberries, specifically, contain cell reinforcements called anthocyanins, which may ensure against malignant growth. Red and purple grapes convey flavonoids, which have been appeared to lessen aggravation, a malignancy donor.
Try not to go bananas. Potassium, found in bananas, avocadoes and potatoes, manages liquid equilibrium and backing the sensory system. Be that as it may, infected kidneys will be unable to eliminate enough potassium from the blood before it flows, and a lot of it can mess heart up. Rather than potatoes, take a stab at cooking or squashing some cauliflower or turnips. Pineapple is a sweet option in contrast to bananas that likewise diminishes irritation.
Go incline toward protein. Sickly kidneys likewise battle with getting out the loss from processed proteins, including meat. Notwithstanding low-phosphate fish, eggs whites are a simple to-utilize protein (the yolks are high in phosphates). A skinless chicken bosom contains less phosphorous and potassium than skin-on chicken. Also, tofu and shitake mushrooms are profoundly adaptable appetizing meat substitutes.
Make masculine plates of mixed greens. Almost twice the same number of men as ladies are determined to have kidney malignant growth, which implies the suppers they eat ought to get additional consideration. For those in danger, make plates of mixed greens with arugula or cabbage (as opposed to high-potassium spinach or kale) and burden them with a rainbow of veggies – think carrots, radishes and nutrient C-rich red peppers.
A Good Diet Keeps Cancer Patients Strong, Too
A fair eating routine advantages everybody, except particularly those at higher danger of kidney malignancy, including men and African Americans. For those determined to have kidney malignant growth, the correct food decisions could help look after strength, forestall diseases and backing the recovery of ordinary body tissues.
The key is remaining as consistent with the eating regimen as your two kidneys are to you. Kidney Cancer Awareness Month comes once per year, however the kidneys carry out their twofold responsibility consistently.

Dog sustenance can be dubious, particularly when thinking about cooking for your pets. Which human nourishments are ok for canines to eat? How might you guarantee your custom made food will meet your canine's dietary necessities? There can be a ton of inquiries to reply. Moreover, there aren't numerous sources that offer sheltered, sound data on the best way to plan dinners for your canine at home.

youtube
Would it be advisable for you to Cook Your Dog's Food?
Is preparing canine food at home truly better for your puppy? While there might be claims made with that impact, there's no hard logical proof to help it.
"Proprietors are told by numerous sources that custom made food is better than business items. In any case, there is no evidence to help this case," says Dr. Larsen.
Larsen alerts canine proprietors to know about fearmongering inside the pet food industry. This is regularly determined by legends about fixing quality. While there are no logically upheld advantages to custom made eating regimens, entire fixing based weight control plans are better in the long haul. Business nourishments are made to be finished and adjusted, includes Dr. Bartges, but not the most energizing of dinners.
"Consider it eating a similar profoundly prepared nourishment for each dinner, for a long time, for quite a long time, " he insists.
Put that way, taking care of your canines an assortment of entire nourishments bodes well. Actually, there are a large number of reasons why you should plan hand crafted nourishments for your canine, as per Dr. Larsen and Dr. Bartges.
These incorporate dealing with your canine's eating regimen, mollifying demanding eaters, combatting food bigotry issues, worry over food reviews, or essentially for the security building delight of setting up a home-prepared feast for your canine.
Normal Mistakes When Cooking For Your Dog
Not Using Trusted Sources
"There are numerous lacking, and some of the time hazardous plans, accessible to proprietors," says Dr. Larsen. "There are presently numerous investigations exhibiting that the majority of these are not adjusted."
A portion of these may cause inadequacies in your canine's eating routine, while others may prompt an abundance of specific supplements. To abstain from experiencing unfortunate or hazardous alternatives Dr. Larsen and Dr. Bartges suggest dodging nonexclusive plans from books or online sources. A few supposed "sustenance specialists" are without legitimate preparing, and may accomplish more mischief than anything.
Larsen and Bartges additionally recommend counseling BalanceIT.com, a site run by a board-ensured veterinary nutritionist, to help make a semi-individualized eating routine.
Not Preparing Balanced Meals
At the point when you don't get ready adjusted dinners that are individualized to your pet's needs, it can include some significant downfalls. Nourishment inadequacy (or abundance) can prompt illnesses, for example, lack of healthy sustenance or stoutness, and can eventually be deadly.
"Each of the ~40 fundamental supplements required by canines has a particular job in the body. At the point when they are given in deficient fixations, the capacity isn't ideal and enduring may result," clarifies Dr. Larsen. "Essentially, supplement overabundances can likewise cause ailment. While the effect of an uneven eating regimen might be gentle and not saw or credited to the eating routine by the proprietor, these issues can likewise be exceptionally extreme, and pets don't generally endure."
Depending On Multiple Diets To Create "Parity"
"Our examination and my clinical experience has shown that this methodology is probably not going to address issues such a significant number of numerous plans share similar lacks," alerts Dr. Larsen.
Utilizing Unsafe/Unhealthy Ingredients
There is a wide assortment of unfortunate and hazardous nourishments to stay away from while getting ready suppers for your canine. Conceivably poisonous fixings are of uncommon concern, including chocolate, xylitol, avocado, grapes, raisins, onions, garlic, and macadamia nuts.
The above rundown isn't comprehensive and other potential issues can emerge in case you're not cautious about fixings. So try to consistently know about which nourishments are alright for canines.
Also, refers to Dr. Bartes, a particular kind of coronary illness called widened cardiomyopathy has as of late been accounted for in canines eating natively constructed counts calories that are sans grain, vegetable based, and high-fiber.
Not Following Recipes
"Most broad plans give ambiguous guidelines to fixings or planning. This leaves the proprietor to decipher what sort of meat to utilize, or which supplement item to purchase," cautions Dr. Larson, of the possible trouble in following canine food plans.
Instead of ad libbing, it's imperative to show any inquiries to a veterinary nutritionist. That way, you'll have the option to comprehend the effect elective fixings may have on your canine.
Downplaying the Impact of Dietary Changes
In a perfect world, when you approach making a custom formula for your canine, it will be under the direction of a board-confirmed veterinary nutritionist. Variables like your canine's eating history, weight, and generally wellbeing ought to be thought of. To ensure the food you're presenting is having the ideal effect, you'll need to screen your pet's wellbeing for changes after some time.
An Alternative To Home Cooking
"Cooking for your pet is a cycle that is requesting on your time, work, space, and funds," says Dr. Larsen.
Home cooking isn't for everybody, however, and it doesn't need to be. Another choice to give your canine entire fixings is to prepare deliberately arranged made suppers.
"There are business nourishments that can be bought that contain entire fixings that are pre-cooked. Which is exceptionally near cooking," notes Dr. Bartges.
Along these lines, while you may believe that cooking for your canine is better for their wellbeing, it tends to be similarly as gainful to buy pre-arranged food that is made considering similar standards. Whichever strategy you pick, just to ensure you are continually taking into account your canine's individual wellbeing and nourishment needs.

The Group - Chapter 01
So here's the deal: it's my first fanfiction ever. I will continue if you guys give me some feedback (I need to know if this sucks or not).
Hope you can enjoy and have as much fun reading as I did writing :D
The food was all set. Vegan, healthy, sugarish, you name it. One of my favorite things was to host parties and make people feel welcome. After a while I became known for my hospitality and the crazy parties with the coolest people I threw.
After I moved to LA, me and my friends started to throw some Wednesdays parties in my apartment. People called us "The Group". We were 5 students (and a teacher) of UCLA, of different areas, that became very close.
The rule to our meetings was to always bring another person, so we could meet new people. That way my place was constantly full of artists, painters, directors, actors and students. The most crazy and creative people of LA.
The living room was already full of people. A plastic artist from NY, a few students from UCLA, and this supposedly famous writer that I have never heard of.
I was refilling the avocado toasts when my phone vibrated. Tessa had sent a message:
"Prepare yourself, I'll be there in 15 min."
I didn't quite get what should I be prepared for, so I just assumed she was talking about her presence.
The doorbell hang and Josh arrived, carrying this fancy tequila on his hands.
"Darling, save this for a special occasion, my gift from Mexico."
"Awn thank you, how was the trip?"
"An entire week of crazy sex with the prettiest boys."
"Jesus... I need you to give me all the details later, baby."
I was putting the tequila in the kitchen cabinet when he asked, while running his eyes throughout the living room:
"Where's Superman?"
"Not among us anymore." I answered, giving him a kiss on his cheek.
The doorbell hang again. When I opened the door I thought I was too drunk and seeing things wrong.
"Hi baby, how are you?" Tessa gave me a very tight hug. "This is my friend, Jared."
It wasn't the alcohol. He was really there. My mind went completely blanc for a second before I could think of what to say. Tessa gave me this weird look as if she was trying to say something with her eyes. Think fast Victoria.
"Oh, hey, I'm Victoria. Welcome! There's food, lots of drinks and very nice people. Hope you have fun." I smiled as I finished the same welcome speech I always give to the newbies.
"Thank you, nice to meet you Victoria. I've heard great things about your parties." His voice was calm and had a husky tone that sent shivers through my entire body.
"Hope you'll find them all to be true. Make yourself home!"
He entered the living room and went compliment the people who were inside. I turned myself to Tessa and whispered in a desperate tone to her "Jared Leto? Jared Fucking Leto? Seriously?"
She laughed. "I told you to prepare yourself."
"Oh my god... I need another drink." I said while I closed the door behind me.
I was a huge fan of Jared and his work. Also, he was in my top 5 hottest guys ever. He had this mysterious aura around him that everybody would comment about, wich always made me very curious about him. Besides that, such a beautiful and talented guy, single at the age of 47? Something was seriously wrong with him.
The thing is, I never thought I would meet him, so I got really nervous about him being at my place. Despite that, I knew I was a great host, and in the past few years I learned pretty well how to interact with people I've never met before. If I just try to act like I wasn't extremely sexually attracted to him at all, I should be fine.
It was my chance of meeting the myth. So I took a deep breath, filled my glass with some more wine, and went sit with Tessa and Jared.
They were sitting on the floor, with Josh, Leo and another girl I couldn't remember the name, just in front of the balcony.
"Where's Superman?" Tessa asked as soon as I sat down.
"Oh lord... He's not coming anymore, okay? No comments, let's just move on."
"Victoria, you're gonna die alone." Leo mocked me.
I sticked my tongue at him. "Thank you, next."
We all laughed.
I notice Jared wasn't drinking anything. "Hey, can I get you something to drink?"
"Would you have something non-alcoholic?"
"That's gonna be a little hard to find here today. I'm so sorry. I'm gonna check the fridge to see if I can find anything."
"Don't worry, water is fine by me."
"No way." I got up and went to the kitchen.
My apartment wasn't very big, it was an open concept living room and kitchen, with a huge balcony in the front. Wooden floors, very cozy, nice view.
I realized Jared was following me, so I immediately straighten up, making sure my butt looked bigger. Cause you know, they ALWAYS look. I was wearing a high wasted shorts and an open back body that gave me a very sexy look.
I opened up the fridge and saw some lemons.
"How about a lemonade?"
"I would love one, thank you."
He leaned on the counter top while I was preparing the drink.
"I'm sorry about my curiosity, but who is this Superman guy? Everybody here is talking about him." He asked, almost whispering.
I chucked. "It is actually the Superman. My now ex-almost-boyfriend, that I happened to have dumped. Henry... Cavill. I said looking down. People always got surprised by the fact I was dating him, wich made me embarrassed. "He apparently got very close to everybody. More than I thought." I sighed.
"Oh wow. You dumped him? Woman you've got some balls. I wouldn't dump a man like that." He pointed to his arms while saying it, alluding to Henry's massive muscles.
I laughed ."Yeah, well, what can I say... I'm more of a batman kind of girl." I winked at him.
He threw me the prettiest smile I have ever seen in my life. His eyes were blue like an ocean. It felt like I could get lost in those forever.
I was smiling back at him when I immediately remembered he interpreted the Joker, so I swallowed hard hoping he wouldn't think I was flirting with him. Well, I wouldn't actually mind if he think that, though.
"So, no alcohol, at all?" I asked to break the ice.
"Bad for the body. And the mind." He added.
"Living on planet earth is bad for the body and the mind. Seriously, no poisons?"
"Well, I had enough you know. I spent too many years on the road and already had my share of all the poisons you can think of. Now I just like to stick to the natural adrenaline."
"Natural as in what, pot?" I chuckled at my own audacity.
He smiled. "As climbing, or my concerts. And a little bit of that too, every now and then" He smirked.
I laughed "Oh that's nice. You know, I'm a big fan of hiking. Actually my friend Leo got me into that, he does climb sometimes too." I finished the drink. "Here we go, a non-alcoholic lemonade to you, Sr."
He smiled at me and took the glass, slighty touching my fingers. My legs went loose and I thought I would fall down if weren't for Leo's voice.
"Heard my name."
"I was just telling Jared you like climbing, and initiated me into the mountains."
Leo was an extremely tall and handsome brunette guy. He was a photographer and teacher at UCLA.
"Yeah it's my favorite hobby, and allows me to take some pretty nice pictures."
"Since you've mentioned, I was actually thinking about going to Yosemite saturday morning. We could hike, so the lady here could go too." Jared said.
"I would really like that, could be fun. Victoria?"
"Count me in." I answered and shook my head in sign of approval.
Someone in the balcony called Jared's name.
"Well, we can talk details later, if you guys excuse me."
Leo smiled at me, saying with his eyes what no needed to be put into words. He lifted up his beer and saluted "cheers to hiking with a very, very, hot guy. I bet your wet right now."
"Cheers to that baby. And yes, I am." I finished my wine all at once.

Guess What? Another AU!
But this time is an Deltarune AU, and the name of the AU is CyberPrinces
In this AU we focus in Sweet Cap'n and Cakes and they have a bro-to-bro relationship
When the trio of robots were children they were homeless, orphans and really poor.
One day while they were looking for something to eat in the garbage when someone caught the attention of the children, it was the Queen (along with some of the castle personnel) turns out they were looking in the garbage of the Pandora Castle.
The Queen told them not to eat from the garbage cause it have Maus poison in it, then she noticed their raggedy clothes and she asked them about if they have a home or parents and why they were in the streets at this hour and alone, the answer broke her heart.
Because of their condition (and because she wants everyone to be happy) she desided to take them to the castle.
She thought: "ok, it will be just one night"
The night became a day, then a week, then a month, aaaaaaand she adopted them, and Sweet, Cap'n and Cakes (Legally speaking) became the Princes of the CyberWorld.
Also here is Prince K_K (This is the clothes he uses in the Castle, the clothes of the original K_K are his Civilian clothes)
Soon i will upload PrinceCap'n and PrinceSweet
(And maybe i will maybe talk about the Snowgrave Route in this AU(It's sad, really sad)
See ya! and hope you have a nice day!

what should we order healthy food at the restaurant?
Everybody know healthy food is a part of our life, We eat healthy food only our homes. Many people consider dining out one of the greatest pleasures in life. It is also a challenge to their healthy eating habits. healthy food is part of our life. It is essential to be educated about how to maintain a healthy lifestyle while still enjoying dining out.
Get your beverage order
If you want healthy food you should first step should is, when dining out, most people choose sodas. These are full of sugar and can lead to insulin resistance. A glass of soda contains approximately 40g of sugar.
It's not about the calories, it is how sugar affects your body. The soda raises insulin levels and moves all the sugar to your liver, where it is stored as glycogen and body fat. Although juices may seem healthier, they can also be loaded with sugar and cause the same reaction.
This is because soda can be consumed before meals, which makes it even more problematic. The bloodstream is not able to slow down the released sugar by consuming no fats or protein. Drinking a soda is an exception to the rule. You can eat something with it to help buffer the effects of sugar overload.
Another no-no is alcohol. It should be consumed only on very special occasions. Alcohol is considered poisonous by the body so it immediately sends it to the liver to begin detoxification. This means that alcohol should not be consumed if it isn't necessary. Your liver is busy metabolizing alcohol will slow down the processing of other nutrients. The idea is that if you have a large fatty meal with alcohol, it must be processed before the alcohol has been processed.
Alcohol is also more caloric than sugar. Sugars, proteins, and alcohol each have four calories per gram, these are not healthy foods, while sugars and proteins have seven calories per gram. Alcohol, however, has seven calories per gram and no nutrition. Beer and pizza are two of the best ways to gain weight.
There are also delicious milkshakes. These items are high in fat and sugar, making them a complete meal. These food are damage our health, so use healthy food, These are foods I would avoid at all costs.
Avoid drinking alcohol: Alcohol, sodas and juices.
The best options: Water, tea without added sugar, sparkling mineral water with lemon and lime. These are simple but healthy food items
The arrival of the breadbasket
Bread, no matter how delicious it may be with whipped butter, should not be eaten. Bread is often loaded with sugar, which is why they are so popular. Made from refined white flour this, like soda, will increase your insulin levels and provide little nutritional value. White bread, regardless of whether you are gluten-intolerant or not, will make you feel bloated and gassy. This is not a great way to spend your night.
The best options: Ask your server to move you from one table to another so that you aren't tempted.
Choose Your Appetizer
Starters are a great way to ruin your nutrition plan. Many options have high levels of fat such as cream spinach dips and onion rings, deep-fried buffalo wings, tater tots, and mini pizza squares loaded with cheese.
Choose the small platter that has some protein if you choose to have an appetizer grilled calamari, Japanese-style sliced tuna, antipasto (but don't use the bread), grilled chicken, vegetable skewers or oysters are some examples. You can also opt for cooked vegetables or a side dish with plenty of fresh greens. Make sure to ask for the dressing on the side so you can control how much you add to your salad.
Avoid startersAnything deep-fried, such as onion rings or tater tots. Creme-rich dips made with chips, mini pizzas and sliders.
The best options: Grilled calamari and Japanese-style fish dishes. Salads served with dressing, chopped vegetables and low-fat dips like salsa or hummus.
Select Your Side Dishes
Sides can be another way to dramatically exceed our daily food intake. Fries are a common side dish that is added to every sandwich or burger. Sweet potato fries are becoming more popular, but they are not as healthy as regular fries and are still fried.
Even though they aren't deep-fried, I wouldn't recommend baking potatoes. They often come with cheese, margarine/butter and salt. Creamed corn, onion rings and potato wedges are all sides you should avoid. They also contain a lot of added sugar so be careful with creamy soups such as chowders or baked beans.
Bread, bagels, or muffins are often accompanied by many meals. These should be avoided. Instead, ask for fruit, vegetables, or salad as a substitute. These are great options, and I often choose them when eating out.
Sides to AvoidAll deep-fried foods, including fries, onion rings, and potatoes wedges. Creamy soups and baked potatoes.
The best optionsSalads with dressing, steamed, or grilled vegetables, and fruits.
Choose Your Main Course
You can skip the section that lists burgers or club sandwiches when ordering mains from most restaurants. The bread is likely made from refined white flour, which has little to no nutritional value. These meals usually come with fries. You can eat your burger without the bun if you are absolutely desperate for one.
Pasta is another main course you should skip. Refined white flour is used in most pasta, just like bread. Pasta is high in carbohydrates and will store them as fat if they aren't used up. You're not using carbs if you eat out, watch a movie, then go to bed. If you don't plan on dancing for five hours after dinner, then pasta will only make it easier to gain weight.
Deep-fried fish meals, any "breaded" items, and creamy rice dishes like risotto are all things to avoid. None of these items is likely to provide much nutritional value.
When ordering mains, the best options are baked or grill fish, baked chicken or grilled chicken or a lean steak and vegetables. You should also avoid any sauces, as they can be full of sugar and other unhealthy ingredients. Ask for more vegetables or a side dish instead of fries.
You can also order a large salad. Many restaurants offer many different salads that are packed with healthy vegetables. There are many salads, but not all salads are the same. Grilled chicken salad with plenty of greens, avocado slices, and olives is better than a buffalo-chicken salad with only a few leaves and lots of unhealthy ingredients like cheese, tortillas, croutons, and other cheeses.
Croutons should be avoided as a rule. Dairy can be problematic for many. However, if you want to indulge in a little cheese, then consider adding some goat cheese or feta. Avoid candied nuts that are sweetened with high fructose syrup or partially hydrogenated vegetable oil. Avoid salads with raw nuts and seeds. Also, be aware of the sugar content in dates, cranberries, and raisins.
Make sure to ask for the dressing side-by-side so that you can control how much dressing you put on your salad. Also, I recommend that you avoid creamy ranch-style dressings. Ask for a vinaigrette that uses olive oil. This is a healthier fat than the ones used in many dressings. You don't have to choose from the many options, so ask for olive oil or vinegar. Most restaurants will bring several bottles to your table, and you can make your dressing.
Avoid main sandwiches, burgers, and sandwiches on bread or buns. Deep-fried meals like fried fish, chicken, and fried calamari. Pasta in general, but particularly creamy pasta and rice dishes. Avoid deep-fried chicken salads and any extras like croutons, dried fruits, and candied nuts all are delicious but not healthy foods.
The best options: A lean source of protein such as baked, grilled seafood, baked, or grilled chicken or a lean steak and vegetables. Salad with the dressing.
Dessert is healthy food?
A dessert menu is almost always healthy-friendly. You should only eat rich and decadent chocolate cakes, pies or brownies on special occasions. For those who have a sweet tooth and want to end the night with something sweet, gelatos, mousses, or a variety of fruits are healthier choices.
When I order dessert, I share it with several people. Ask for enough spoons to serve everyone at your table if you order a piece. This will satisfy your cravings but not overpower your nutrition plan. Dessert is not healthy food. It can harmful to your health
Avoid desserts: All.
The best optionsGelatos or after-dinner mints, light mousse or a bowl full of fruit.
A Note on Serving Sizes
Let's face it, American restaurants serve huge portions. If I had a starter and an entree, along with a side dish and dessert, I'd feel like stuffed pork. I would be fortunate to be able to walk out of the restaurant.
It's not about picking the right dishes, but being aware of overeating when dining at restaurants. All my clients are advised to skip the starters and to eat the main meal with the side of healthy food. You can order two starters to replace the main meal if you don't want anything on the starter menu. This is something that I do quite often. I'll choose a salad with avocado, goat cheese, and grilled calamari. Or half a dozen oysters. That's all!
Avoid overeating by stopping eating once you feel satisfied. Ask for a to-go box and keep the rest for later. Drinking lots of water is a great way to avoid eating too much. I also try to eat small meals before I leave the house so that I don't feel hungry and tempted to order everything. Before you leave the house, eat some chopped fruits, vegetables, and nuts.
Healthy food can still be fun
It's possible to enjoy a meal out, it can be a way to make friends, and it can often be the best way we celebrate special occasions. You don't have to eat out every night to break your healthy eating habits.
You can enjoy eating healthy foods out and still be mindful of your health. You'll feel great and look good by making the smarter decisions I have outlined. Avoid foods and drinks high in sugar and unhealthy fats. Try to use healthy foods everywhere. Share dessert with friends and family instead of eating it all by yourself. You can always eat what you want if you are full.
Moderation is key to a happy and fulfilled life. Do your research. Each week, do your research. You can plan and prepare most of your meals yourself you don't have to eat out every once in a while to make progress towards your goals.

Health Benefits of Eating Organic Food
Overview
Organic food is extremely popular and everybody wants to understand about its benefits. The sweeping popular opinion that organic food is healthier than conventional food is sort of strong and is that the main reason for the rise in its demand over the past 5-6 years. Organic Facts may be a strong proponent of organic food; however, this website also believes in putting across the foremost accurate facts to its visitors.
While to dive more into this topic stay tuned to 3meds India’s best online medical store
Benefits are as follows.
1. Better overall health
- Because organic food isn't produced or processed by the utilization of chemical pesticides or chemical fertilizers, it doesn't contain any elements of toxic chemicals and should not affect human health in harmful ways. the utilization of natural techniques like manure to fertilize the lands and crop rotation in pest and disease control work absolutely well in producing safer, healthier, and smellier final food products.
2. Antioxidant content
- The positive effects of antioxidants on overall health are established during a number of scientific studies, especially those derived from organic foods. this is often because organic foods are freed from foreign chemicals that normally react with vitamins, organic compounds and minerals thus lowering the essential positive impacts of antioxidants in food products.
- Latest studies propose that the consumption of organic food can contribute to more intake of nutritionally advantageous antioxidants and limited exposure to heavy metals.
3. Improved heart disease
- Exclusive grazing on natural grass increases the amounts of CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) found in animal products. The suns energy is well taken in by natural grass through photosynthesis and is converted into the foremost desirable organic CLA by the herbivores that prey on it.
4. Antibiotic resistance
- Humans are vulnerable to various health issues and disease, and most of the time they need to require precautionary measures to make sure they continue to be healthy. this is often achieved by getting a spread of vaccinations and antibiotic drugs when a replacement strain of virus or bacteria is realized. Similarly, non-organic food sources (especially livestock and feeds) use vaccines, growth hormones, animal byproducts, and antibiotics to treat and feed the animals.
- When humans consume the non-organic food products, they indirectly consume the antibiotics, growth hormones and vaccines which weaken immune systems on the account of antibiotic, vaccine, hormones, and animal byproducts overdose.
5. Better taste
- aside from nutrition, the mineral and sugar structures in organic foods are tasty because the crops are given longer to develop and mature. the utilization of natural and environmentally friendly agricultural production techniques is revealed to be the rationale for the higher taste in organic food products.
6. Pesticide cutback
- Chemical pesticides consumption is linked to a spread of diseases and disorders namely cancers, digestive dysfunctions, headaches, ADHD, birth defects, weakened system , and even premature death. Organic foods are freed from pesticides which is why they're preferable for attaining a far better overall health. the maximum amount as pesticides have the facility of keeping certain pests faraway from the crops, they even have potent chemicals like organophosphorus.
- These chemicals are unnatural and that they are the mineral compounds that cause several health abnormalities in humans. Organophosphorus, as an example , is related to various developmental disorders like ADHD and autism.
7. Stronger system
- the normal or industrial farming practices aim at enhancing production and farm output by all means necessary. for instance , the notion of manufacturing more cereals, more meat and larger fruits through genetic modifications and use of growth hormones seems to unravel a number of the world’s food insecurity concerns.
- By eating organic foods, the risks of decline in system strength are significantly reduced because organic foods aren't altered in the least .
8. Organic products are poison-free
- Organic farming doesn't use any quite dangerous chemicals to stay away pests and diseases. All the practices are natural and thus don't harm the buyer . Aspects like biomagnification are lessened via the practice of organic farming as chemical pesticides, fertilizers, herbicides, and artificial growth hormones are all prohibited on an organic farm.
9. Consumption of highly nutritious food products
- Organic food products like organic meat, organic milk, organic fish, and organic poultry contain very high nutritional content because they are doing not contain modified ingredients compared to the traditional agricultural food products. Another factor that creates them highly nutritious is that they're given time to develop and are given the simplest natural conditions for growth.
10. Organic foods aren't genetically modified
- Organic foods are GMO free, that is, they're not genetically engineered in nature. gene-splicing of food products may be a huge concern within the current era. they're foods or plants with altered DNA in manners that don't happen in nature, usually to reinforce resistance to pesticides/herbicides. While there's lack of conclusive evidence of its dangers, food safety advocates are concerned that long-term research has not been conducted to verify their safety advocates believe GMOs are a number one explanation for slowed brain growth, viscus damage, gastrointestinal disorders, and therefore the thickening of the alimentary canal.
Know your produce pesticide levels
Some sorts of conventionally-grown produce are much higher in pesticides than others, and will be avoided. Others are low enough that purchasing non-organic is comparatively safe.
Fruits and vegetables where the organic label matters most
the following fruits and vegetables have the very best pesticide levels so are best to shop for organic:
• Apples
• Sweet Bell Peppers
• Cucumbers
• Celery
• Potatoes
• Grapes
• Cherry Tomatoes
• Kale/Collard Greens
• Summer Squash
• Nectarines (imported)
• Peaches
• Spinach
• Strawberries
• Hot Peppers
Fruits and vegetables you DON’T got to buy organic
Known as the Clean 15”, these conventionally-grown fruits and vegetables are generally low in pesticides.
• Asparagus
• Avocado
• Mushrooms
• Cabbage
• Sweet Corn
• Eggplant
• Kiwi
• Mango
• Onion
• Papaya
• Pineapple
• Sweet Peas (frozen)
• Sweet Potatoes

The bottom line
By now, it’s clear that whatever we ingest indirectly comes from the soil along side other physical environmental interactions. So, the very fact that organic farming doesn’t use agrichemicals for crop production means minimized consumption of toxic metals. New studies confirm that organic crops have 48% lower levels of the toxic metal cadmium than conventional crops.
