The wedding bed omg

Odysseus is over here thinking Penelope could never love him again after everything, but the bed shows the absurdity of it.

He says himself that the bed is a "symbol of our love everlasting" and the only way to move it is to cut it from its roots.

AND THAT'S THE GODDAMN POINT

The bed is unmovable, as is Penelope's love, without literally ripping it from it's place and cutting it's roots. Time and sacrifice and death by damned, that love isn't going anywhere.

I also love how the last words in the entire, tragic, heart wrenching musical are "I love you."

3 crab pot!

This was one of my very first wheel-thrown objects, so the cylinder is more than a little amateurish, and also it got dinged up because I wasn't careful with my tools around it while it was wet. HOWEVER. I took a look at all the little scuffs and dings and went "I could blame this on animals!"

so I made some crabs and gave 'em little footprints all over.
