TUMBLR. I need your help. I’m calling all the wattpaders. A while/year-ish ago, I was (don’t make fun of me😭) on Wattpad looking for a Newt (TMR) fanfic, as one does, and I stumbled across one with a plot SO absolutely FANTASTIC. And then I got logged out of my old account and I can’t find it. I just remembered it, and PLEASE. MY FELLAS. HELP ME FIND IT.

Basically, it follows this girl who lives in the maze. I think she has like a memory of her parents and like they put her there or smth (maybe work for WICKED?) I don’t remember. But she lives in like this cardboard box thingy in the maze before any of the boys come up into the glade. She hops the walls and I think she like eats grievers or something IDK OK.

THE MOST KEY DETAIL, THAT I MISS THE MOST AND NEED TO RE-READ. She has a super freaking cute little friend. He’s not a griever, and I don’t think he’s a beetle blade. But he’s a little friend (that I’m assuming the creators made) that protects her and she names him something adorable. AND I MISS HIM.

Then the boys start running the maze as per cannon and eventually they (mostly Newt) start to spot her jumping from the maze walls. So they think she’s like a ghost or something. Eventually she misses one of her jumps, falls down, and gets injured, so one of the boys (Probably Newt?) brings her to the glade, the medjacks take a peek and I think she herself wants to become a medjack after she chills at the glade for a while. Idrk. But she also stays in the maze sometimes I think.

THATS ALL I REMEMBER. I DONT REMEMBER THE AUTHOR, OR THE FULL 100% CORRECT TITLE, OR THE DATE OF PUBLISH. I was pretty darn sure it was like “The Maze Ghost” or “The Girl in the Maze” or something I swear. IDK. I NEED HELP.

I find the fact that the confrontation at the end of UTRH is often summarized as Jason asking Bruce to kill the Joker for him fascinating.

Because that's not what happened.

Jason holds a gun up to Joker's head, gives Bruce another, and tells him that if Bruce doesn't do something (shoot Jason), he will kill Joker.

Jason doesn't give the gun to Bruce so that he would shoot Joker. He isn't expecting Bruce to pull the trigger on the clown. He's asking Bruce to do nothing. To be inactive. Because that will still be a choice, and despite having done nothing, everybody clearly agrees that Bruce would still, at least in part, be responsible for Joker's death.

...And to me, this moment is a kind of- microcosm, of the rest of Jason's point. Because after being captured and carted off to Arkham, the villain will escape again, and will kill more people. The only way to truly prevent that from happening would be to kill them; Bruce refuses to do so, and I respect his right to choose such a thing for himself, but it is still a choice, and if we agree that Bruce's inaction during the confrontation would leave him at least partly responsible for the Joker's death, then we must also agree that his inaction in permanently preventing the Rogues from killing more people means he is also, partly, responsible for all of those deaths.

Hey everyone, this is a different post than I'd normally make, but I've been dealing with urgent hardship, poverty, and food/housing instability, and it's escalated to the point where I am desperate for mutual aid support.

It's hard to admit this stuff publicly, but while I've been able to scrape by for 6+ months on my own, my situation keeps worsening. I'm really sorry to ask for help, I've always been a private person who wanted to avoid asking online, but I've finally hit a point where I don't have many options. While I'm still in contact with family, I don't have monetary support from them & am hoping for a miracle to get through this.

It's hard to be so up front with what my situation has been like, but up until about a month ago I was struggling with enough money to afford food for at least one meal a day. I skipped multiple days every week to ensure that I didn't run out of food, and have regularly emptied my fridge/pantry to the limits before I allowed myself to spend meager amounts on enough to sustain me. Things are still shaky in that department for me, but manageable. However spending so much out of pocket on food has led to me struggling to afford basic necessities. Running out of things like trash bags, toothpaste, shampoo, etc. is a nightmare, and leads to expenses that I just can't deal with. I'm facing housing insecurity and am really just at a wall where I dont know what to fucking do. Anything helps and I really really mean it.
