I think that way too many people gloss over the reason why exactly those 6 men were such a big deal and a last straw for the crew and Eurylychous. Up to this point Odysseus made mistakes, yes, and people died because of them but never before has Odysseus made such a deliberate sacrifice.
Before this, he was still their Capitan - a bit arrogant, too prone to playing into Gods' Games and with a damnation right on his heels - but still on their side. Not to mention that this saga happens SO soon after Circe Saga, where he CAME BACK for them, put himself in grave danger and risked his return home to save THEM. Since the wind bag fuck up, this crew must have regained so much trust in him, Eurylychous must have felt so indebted and plagued by his own guilt because of his actions in Ocean Saga and Circe Saga. Because despite their doubts and question of How Much Longer Till His Luck Runs Out, their Capitan still came and saved them.
And then the Different Beast happens and it's ruthless and cruel but it's against their enemies, it feels like protection, no doubt. It's their Capitan making sure that they can make it home, that no other monster will follow them and make it impossible.
But then the Scylla happens and it never has been more clearer than there. Eurylychous would not be that furious if he didn't realize and he IS a second-in-command, he is not stupid. Six men who held the torches died and it was by Odysseus' order. This is no longer slaying every foe on the way home, this is Odysseus willing to sacrifice even them. Is it the same capitan who came back for them on Circe's island, is the same who always did everything he could to make sure they all made it back? How Are They Supposed To Trust Him Now?
This situation is so fucked and both sides have their point, I'm so sick of seeing posts putting the full blame on either side. They are all human and stressed and they don't know what to trust, what to do to come back home - and the worst part of it all, they probably never stood a chance.
After all, Zeus has already said they The Blood On Your Hands Is Something You Can't Lose, All You Can Choose Is Whose.

Imagine if in Mutiny, Ares went down on the ship to fill Eurylochus with the courage and rage necessary to fight Odysseus for his crime against his men. And so Ares would be standing behind eury while Ody is alone since Athena left him

something about the fact that curlfeather died saving her daughter. she was so close to her goal, to getting the thing that she killed for, to the power she thought was worth raising her daughter as a pawn for
she was at the finish line. she could so easily have run up that tree herself. left frostpaw alone to face the dogs
but she didn’t. in her last moments she did not care about the power or her plans. she did not hesitate a second to help her daughter up that tree and accepted her fate, using her last words to warn her daughter of the monster she had unleashed and been consumed by
in the end she realized that frostpaw was more important than power. even if that realization came too late to save them

Welcome to my yap session lmao
I just wanted express my love for the scene witch olive tree. Just so much, in Odyssey it was test to check if it was really Odysseus not another person claiming to be him. In Epic it's BOTH test AND Penelope's way to tell Odysseus how much she lives him. Odysseus view himself as unlovable monster, someone not worth Penelope's love. He's sure that if she knew person he become she stop living him. So he ask her if she fall in love with moster he in he's eyes is. Penelope by asking him to get rid of the bed - symbol of they're love, that's only possible to remove is by cutting it from it's roots - tells him that the only way for her to stop loving him is to cut her love from roots. She been waiting for him 20 years, she never stop loving him. She doesn't fall in love with him again because no matter how Odysseus view himself, in core it's still HIM, it's still her husband she deeply fellt in love. The synfony wersion of "just a man" is selling this point so well. In the end Odysseus is not a monster - he's just a man, not creature born from evil, just a human who's suffered for to long, got pushed far beyond he's limits, put in situations that no one should be. But it didn't made him moster, especially not for Penelope.

"i'm TIRED, my friend!"
no joke? this line grabbed me by the throat more than any other in "mutiny". holy shit.
eurylochus sounds exhausted. he's been through literal hell and back after facing a war, a cyclops, a god, and a witch, and not a few hours before, JUST saw the captain of his ship, and one of his closest friends, let six of their friends die and did nothing.
after the mutiny, eurylochus speaks like he's dazed, and rightly so. it's that thousand-yard-stare, slow-walking, disassociated headspace that comes with seeing atrocities and not being able to do anything about them. it's that hypnotic influence stemming from seeing something so wonderful you almost can't fathom it, and it's within arm's reach, it's tangible.
all while odysseus is pleading with him not to make a bad decision (after so many of his own), begging him not to go for the feast that's right there, (the wind bag that's right there), even when he's so hungry, he can feel the hollow of his stomach and the stabbing of the emptiness.
but that line? that outburst?
that's real, aching exhaustion, raw and tearful and helpless, the kind you get when you're so fed up and upset at the world for being the way it is you don't want to do anything but collapse on a bed and sleep. you can almost see the way his face is pinched and he's this close to crying from hunger, betrayal, pain, from finally buckling under the weight of their actions.
he's seen so much, gone through so much, lost so much, and now he's being pled with to consider a being who would look at him like an ant for the sake of sparing a perfectly fine cow, and goddammit all, he is TIRED. he wants to eat something real. he wants to sleep. he wants to go home.
"i'm just a man" indeed. and who could blame him for craving something human.
