Hi! I'm Scarlette; I'm a four-time published author (going on 5!) who, obviously, enjoys writing!
I run regular Writing Livestreams on Youtube, generally with my original writing but occasionally with fanfics.
The idea behind Writing Livestreams is simple, and twofold. As a young writer, I attended every class I could get my hands on, and while they were helpful, sometimes being told how something worked wasn't enough to figure out how to do it, but I've always been great at learning by example. So, goal one, is to let people see what I do, and the process to success. Goal two, then, is more selfish: I live a busy life, and sometimes it's hard to get time to write. If I'm streaming, I'm at least getting that much writing time in.
Supporting staff is my friend and roommate Tam, who isn't a writer, but is a darling, and my dad, who runs the techy side of things when I call. Thumbnails are often my ESA, a two-year-old Calico named Patches.
Season 1 can be found here.

Holy crap I completely forgot I attempted to download the entire Unus Annus channel right before it got deleted. I just found an old hard drive in my desk I forgot I even had, and like - dude. I have no idea how many videos are on here but it HAS to be in the triple digits, including thumbnails. This is friggin' insane.

A really annoying part of ADHD is not just that I struggle with doing stuff, but that I seem to entirely forget all the processes and tricks I learned to be more efficient if I don't do something for a few weeks. Like, every time I make a video, I forget that I should have a live notes section while writing so that I don't just stare blankly at the screen and have a direction and that while editing I should break it up between something rewarding so I don't just sit at the PC dreading editing so hard that I can't continue at all.
Productivity is so hard to maintain because I literally forget the things I need to remember that let me do it easier.

My biggest joke as a creator based on queer shipping is that I don't belong to three of the biggest ships in queer fandom history 😩

Rowdyruff Boys On The Spectrum? [THEORY/HEADCANON]
his is such a stupid theory/headcanon but I just get the vibe for numerous reasons. Yes I know they’re four year olds and four year olds can do random things +most disorders like autism aren’t figured out until the kid is older. But screw it im projecting a tad being autistic myself so I’m putting it out there.
We all know the RRB definitely have PTSD so I’m not going to get into that one. I’m more gonna focus on autism and adhd.
Off the bat a big thing I can mention is stimming. The boys stim quite a bit. Mainly Butch and Boomer. And it’s usually triggered when they’re excited and can’t stay still or control said excitement. Biggest examples being The Boys Are Back In Town. Lots of stimming there.
Ways of speech and miswording. -  People can stretch this to the boys being super young and that’s valid. It’s common in young kids. Show examples would be Bubble Boy, when Brick writes his graffiti. “BRIK WUZ HER”. But the main spots I’ve seen this happen is the comics. For example, CN Action Pack #6, Butch mixing up “invisible” with “invincible.” Certain ways they talk as well can be seen on the spectrum. Or at least that’s how I see it. Like when Brick mentions a bus to help their heist in CN Action Pack #4. Instead of Butch adding to the convo. he speaks on how much he likes buses and why. Or Brick stating he likes eggs randomly in CN Action Pack #6. Again kid stuff too, so see it how you like.
MANY examples here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Distractions - Kid thing again but could be spectrum as well. The boys have sort attention spans and get bored super easily. An example here from CN Action Pack #1. Which also makes me think they would get distracted by their fixations a crazy amount.
Tumblr media
Fixations - Ok this is cheating cuz I spotted this in Multiversus but since it’s Ruff media I’m adding it. The boys definitely fixate to specific things. Like Butch with his constant ticks and urge to fight, while Brick fixates on The Joker. Wanna see what I mean? Watch these two videos.
Brick - https://youtu.be/paA3XZ0-Feg?si=PTaho72oYo18ZTVS
Butch - https://youtu.be/s92Ksrdk5aw?si=JvOlCBrV5yUIgf
Sleep Issues - Also Multiversus but it’s something I found interesting. The boys HATE getting up early and constantly have the urge to sleep. Perhaps from sleep issues or staying up late being mischievous. This one hit personal for me. Wanna see for yourself? Check this video out.
youtube
Triggers - Comic based this time, and this can line up to PTSD a bit more. But autistic people including myself can and do have triggers so I’m adding this too. The boys have a huge trigger to the idea of being kissed. As shown in CN Action Pack #6, when the girls defeat them with cooties. The boys don’t even try to fight, and fly away in tears. I count this up to PTSD, but I can definitely see the boys getting overstimulated in their own ways.
Tumblr media
Repetitive behaviors - I feel this one speaks for itself. If you watched any RRB episodes you’ll see what I mean.
Honestly I’m out of topics so imma end this here. If you disagree that’s cool, I just like exploring characters' heads.

I hate my brain so fucking much dude.
I have a list of shows, movies, and anime to watch that's a mile long but I never get around to them because I'm never in the mood. But I'll just casually watch a 2 and a half hour Youtube video covering the beef between Genshin Impact content creators (a game I've never played, with drama featuring people I didn't know existed).

"Try Different Before You Try Harder" - The Truth about ADHD and Effort
Everyone needs to understand that effort is not the problem, whether you're neurodivergent or not.
If you have ADHD, it's vital to understand how your brain works, and what your weak spots are due to your disability (and why your struggles are not your fault.)
If you don't have ADHD, you still need to be supportive and compassionate to those around you who do have it. And one of the most effective ways to do so is to understand their unique struggles.

I appreciate Halsey not even so much because of her music, but because she recorded an album while having 3x more chronic illnesses that are 5x worse than what I have, wrote a few songs about being gaslighted by the doctors and then some rat-faced fart-brained youtuber says she is trying too hard to get our pity.

Been a little while! Life's been pretty crazy recently (the horrors raised themselves from the ocean, ew) but we're all alive! So here's a quick look at upcoming plans, since I got far too distracted to actually talk about them on the proper streams.
A series on Writing Basics
TSE character sheets, speedpaints, and breakdowns
Character Building for writers
Book Reviews!
Extra long, celebratory, "we made it through finals" writing stream in May
Perhaps an actual, focused recap of March's Publishing Adventure?
Thumbnail announcements and another new series!
Essays 101
Analyzing different writing advice
Posting links and recaps of the few streams that have happened in between the last blog update and now

????????????
I really got used to the ahdh/autistic friendly ambience of tumblr (at least the side i'm on) and redacted videos' comments on youtube that I forgot that productivity videos, that girl videos and motivational videos (which made a comeback to my youtube algorithm for an unknown reason) are SO neurotypical coded. I've seen a few now and all say that you shouldn't be multitasking, babe, my brain is multitasking and thinking in two languages at the same time 24/7 (and maladaptive daydreaming half of the time as well)

Day 3 of my Study-Diary + Tricks for my ADHD folks🌻
Hello dear people on Tumblr,
This is my third entry on this blog. And I can proudly say that I managed to study on this day too. 😊 Here is the proof:
Tumblr media
Honestly this Study Diary really works for me. I feel a lot more pressure to study, so that I don't disappoint others 😅 Wich brings me to my next train of thought.
Since I started this blog I thought a lot and hard about wich things I do that makes my life with ADHD a bit easier, and wich one of them could be of use for others.
And now I would like to share some of them, in the hopes that they might help you too:
Tumblr media
• Use Timers and Clocks: I mentioned this in my last post. But, I really cannot stress this enough. Use Timers and Clocks. Make sure to always know what time it is. It is crucial, so that your day doesn't vanish in a blink of an eye. Doesn't matter what you do, if you cook, clean, study etc. Your eyes needs to know the time!
•Use Sticky Notes, Calendars and To-do Lists: My brain works like this : "Out of sight out of mind". This most of the time makes me forget things like doing laundry, calling friends or checking up on my plants for example 👀 It is crucial to see your tasks in bright colours around you. Sometimes I even ask people to remind me of stuff, or set reminders on my calendar. So that I don't forget my appointments.
• Professor Barkley: Not a Trick per se. But he really helped me to understand this condition and to work with it.
Here is the link:
youtube
• Find easy Foodoptions: What I mean with that, is to find maybe pre prepared meals in your grocery store that are at least mildly healthy. Or maybe cook on the days where you are highly motivated a bit more and put that in the freezer. I often lack the energy and brainpower to cook myself something. So to just being able to shove something in the oven and microwave can be a blessing. (I think I will share some easy recipe ideas in the next diary entry)
So I am going to end this entry here. Wish everyone a lovely day, and thank you very much for your time and reading this. 🌻🌱🐑🩷
Love and peace

Something I thought everyone did before I was diagnosed autistic:
Being able to read lips to a general degree, even though I'm not deaf.
Didn't realise it till I was outside but watching the TV through the window reflection at my mother's house. I knocked on the window to ask a question about the episode.
Hadn't heard any of the TV.
Now I'm hyper aware of just how often I watch YouTube on mute, because I have music playing in my headphones. Can read a lot of a conversation from across the room.
Peeps on Twitch who live stream and think muting stops me? Haha nah. I know you're telling your kids off, or answering a question, or asking for food.

I think using immediate gratification is the only *semi guaranteed* way to get any amount of work done.
(kindly) Forget goal setting and 'what does this mean to me', my brain does not want to do the task even if I want to do it.
Therefore, I shall play my favorite songs while doing a task, if I'm daydreaming half the time, at least I'm doing it. And I'll go outside and sit on a patch of grass for that task I've been having executive dysfunction for. (I can go outside, which has a nice amount of stimulation for me... so I can pet the grass and still get distracted, but it's better than being inside where you'll have the once and awhile turning on of the air conditioning. Outside there's constantly changing surroundings, so it keeps the back of my brain occupied.)
I'll use things I enjoy that are semi-productive (like writing) to avoid the tasks I don't want to do (like math), I'll use that necklace to stim with, I'll make a story out of it while I learn it so I can call it worldbuilding (which is easier for my brain to do). I'll constantly have the tabs open so I can be reminded that it exists. Any amount of instant gratification is better than trying to force my brain to do a task, even if it can be slow going, being distracted becomes a part of my process...even if it can be slow at times.
TL;DR - use things you enjoy, and surround yourself with your hyperfixations (soundtracks from fav show or smth), so that way brain is focused on the dopamine instead of the task... therefore tricking the brain. (Also have something to stim with, I use one of those prayer bead necklaces that broke.). It's okay to do a little bit of work, then get distracted, then go back to do that bit of work. We do not want brain to throw a fit.
