Day 3 of my Study-Diary + Tricks for my ADHD folks🌻
Hello dear people on Tumblr,
This is my third entry on this blog. And I can proudly say that I managed to study on this day too. 😊 Here is the proof:

Honestly this Study Diary really works for me. I feel a lot more pressure to study, so that I don't disappoint others πŸ˜… Wich brings me to my next train of thought.
Since I started this blog I thought a lot and hard about wich things I do that makes my life with ADHD a bit easier, and wich one of them could be of use for others.
And now I would like to share some of them, in the hopes that they might help you too:

β€’ Use Timers and Clocks: I mentioned this in my last post. But, I really cannot stress this enough. Use Timers and Clocks. Make sure to always know what time it is. It is crucial, so that your day doesn't vanish in a blink of an eye. Doesn't matter what you do, if you cook, clean, study etc. Your eyes needs to know the time!
β€’Use Sticky Notes, Calendars and To-do Lists: My brain works like this : "Out of sight out of mind". This most of the time makes me forget things like doing laundry, calling friends or checking up on my plants for example πŸ‘€ It is crucial to see your tasks in bright colours around you. Sometimes I even ask people to remind me of stuff, or set reminders on my calendar. So that I don't forget my appointments.
β€’ Professor Barkley: Not a Trick per se. But he really helped me to understand this condition and to work with it.

β€’ Find easy Foodoptions: What I mean with that, is to find maybe pre prepared meals in your grocery store that are at least mildly healthy. Or maybe cook on the days where you are highly motivated a bit more and put that in the freezer. I often lack the energy and brainpower to cook myself something. So to just being able to shove something in the oven and microwave can be a blessing. (I think I will share some easy recipe ideas in the next diary entry)

Day 2 of my Study-Diary + Study Tips 🌻
Hello dear people on tumblr,
today was quite a lazy day with studying. I wasn't really able to get in a good night rest. But still I tried my best, and got actually a lot of stuff done in a short amount of time, so I am still proud πŸ‘πŸŒ»

So like you can see I managed to study a total amount of 4 and a half hours. Wich isn't too shabby.
Anyway, like I promised in my last post and in the name of my article, I would like to share some study tips, wich are helpful to me. (And maybe too some others)

β€’ First Tip: Setting yourself up for sucess
Thing I noticed is, that before I start to study, that I need a good morning routine. Something wich puts me in a good mood and gives me energy, so I am able to overcome my inner barriers and actually start studying.
I am able to achieve that by waking up early (but I know that is not for everyone, and it can be really hard to start that, so you don't need to torture yourself if thats not working for you).
Another thing I do is my skincare routine (splashing cold water im your face really helps with waking up ^^) and eat a delicious breakfast 🌷🌱
β€’Second Tip: Animedoro
Well, I am really not someone who is able to concentrate for a long time, nor am I able to motivate myself without good rewards.
So after every 40 mins I study, I watch an anime episode (wich is approximately 20 min long). And I repeat that circle. Till I am not able to study anymore or I finished my day.
β€’Third Tip: Juice and Lemonade πŸ‹πŸ
This is probably a quite unusual advice. But it really helps my ADHD brain with concentration. The sugar helps me to stay alert and motivated through the learning or when I get really moody during a session. But important, don't go overboard with this. Sip slowly on your drink. If you can't do that, then don't use this adviceπŸ‘€ Don't destroy your healthπŸ‘€
Fourth Tip: USE TIMERS
Especially if you have ADHD, USE TIMERS EVERYTIME!!! Please trust me on that. Use timers during you study sessions, eating sessions or whatever thing you do. You always need to have your eyes on the clock. So that the time doesn't vanish like its nothing, and you ask yourself at the end of the day."What happend!!"
Fifth Tip: To-Do lists are your best friends
Please also do this if you have ADHD. Use 5 minutes of your day after your study session, to reflect on your achievements and to think what you would like to do tomorrow. The to do lists musn't only have to include academic things.
I also write stuff like breakfast, doing laundry etc.....
The to-do list gives me an extra boost of dopamine, when I finished a task and I am able to tick it off. Also I don't have to think all the time on what things I should do next. (Where I typically forget more than half of it. Or I just get distracted and do nothing)

Day 1 of my Study-Diary 🌻
Hello dear people on tumblr,
this is my Study-Diary where I write in my daily progress with cute and funny pictures or gifs. Also I will also share here some Study-Tips I acquired over the time, specifically tips for people who struggle with ADHD (since I have that too)

Well I want to share here my first tip and also the main reason why I started this blog.
Tip number one is to find someone to hold you accountable. Thats the reason I started this blog. (It gives me the feeling that people are judging/ rooting for me πŸ˜…)

I studied 6 hours for today. And I must say I am quite proud of myself. I hope I can keep this up or top it. (Btw for everyone who is interested. I am using Flip as a tracker for my studytime, since it has the cutest design. But you can also create or join groups there, or compare your progress with people from all over the world, wich is really neat. There are also some more features)πŸŒ»πŸŒ±πŸ‘
