"I figure that, over time, Strife Delivery will shrink and become integrated into whatever you want to call your side of things. Maybe I could start actually helping you with the builds, get a truck - a decent one. Maybe eventually expand into renovation, extensions, that kind of thing." He glances over to his brother then, that faint grin still tugging at a single corner of his mouth.

"We did a pretty good job on Tifa's bar, right? And Edge is still growing, people are always crying out for carpentry and construction workers."

A pause, just to give Rain a moment for everything to start sinking in, maybe even realise that this place was actually a gift, not a proposition.

"The nightmare's over, Rain. Now's the time for dreams... I didn't do this for me, I'm just here paying my dues. And you're owed more than most, yeah?"

Bed time stories for Bijou were not the traditional kind. Often daft and read from servicing manuals from the many bikes and cars Roche serviced at his repair centre. He would add voices and personality traits to each vehicle as he would read about their maintenance and mechanics.

Bijou's favourite was, in fact, about the Hardy-Daytona and asked for that one often. She always wanted to be a "Bike Doctor" like her dad when she grew up, if only to meet a "Harly-Baby" of her own.

He does! but not very often, as there are not a lot of things he actually finds brills or aces, unfortunately.

He mostly uses them for sarcasm and when Charles does something that is, indeed, brills.

Charles likes to use them too, in a "this is... what's that thing you always say, old friend? Ah, aces" sort of way. It's a bit of harmless teasing

Got some new prints up in my Inprnt shop for the holiday! And brought back the Spiderman print since so many people liked it. They'll be up until about February.

I'm honestly really happy with my output this year of filler pieces. I wish I had time to get to the others I had planned, but I had to make room for Siphoned. Looking forward to creating more next year, though 🫶🏾

"Well, I figured as I service this particular site at a reduced rate you'd be more accommodating." A low disinterested grumble as he slips the clipboard Reno's way with the obligatory 'Sign here please'.

"And how hard can it be, yeah? I mean you spend most of your day wiping the president's ass. At least mine can move around on their own and toilet trained." A non-committal shrug to accompany that sneaky twist of the proverbial knife in Reno's side.

We left our home and were displaced more than five times in search of safety, but we never found it and we will never find it...

We lost our home, our work, our family, our security and our stability. We live in tents on the sidewalks without the necessities of life....
