Hollywood gay stars Rock Hudson and George Nader were close friends for thirty-four years, from 1951 until Hudson's death in 1985. Unlike his friend, Nader refused to enter into a lavender marriage and maintained his romantic relationship with Mark Miller, who later became Hudson's secretary. Nader and Miller stayed together for fifty-five years, from 1947 until the former's death in 2002.

There are countless lovers, short-term boyfriends, and weekend flings that passed through Rock Hudson’s life. But the friendship with Nader and Miller endured."

Spent the week in Carolina Beach in a beach house with my Seester and five of her bffs to celebrate Seester’s 50th birthday. It was a blast. We did a lot of beachcombing for fossils, visited the aquarium and Fort Fisher, and went kayaking out to Shark Tooth Island to do more fossil hunting. The Hot Wife whipped up a bunch of cocktails and we great week with a lot of laughter and love.

Mathews in the 1950s

Heartthrob actor Kerwin Mathews is best remembered for starring in the swashbuckler films The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958), The Three Worlds of Gulliver (1960), and Jack the Giant Killer (1962). He retired from acting in 1978 and opened a clothing and antiques shop in San Francisco.

Mathews met Tom Nicoll, his lover, in 1961. The two remained together for 46 years, until Mathews’ death in 2007 at the age of 81.
