Ahhh, the shot of this random guy helping Superman stand up warms my heart.

One thing many modern superhero films miss out on, I feel is the Superhero's relationship to the random people they save. Many MCU films have escalated to the point of numbers so high its unthinkable- and they've lost that personal touch. Moments like this are a visual metaphor for what makes the hero keep fighting, keep going, keep standing up. There's a reason this scene from Spiderman II is one of my favorites ever.

How did you get your idea for the Butler AU?

The idea for the Butler Cafe AU came to me while I was in Japan a while back.

I was vacationing in Japan with my friend Steph (@/cringeyvanillamilk) back in 2023. And one location we explored was Ikebukuro (which for someone as directionally challenged like me probably wasn't the best idea...). Ikebukuro is a commercial district within the Tokyo prefecture. One famous location is the Sunshine 60 building.

While walking around Ikebkuro, Steph and I passed by a certain sign. It was an advertisement for the Swallowtail, which is a butler cafe. I jokingly made the connection to Secre Swallowtail. From there, I imagined Nacht in a butler uniform and Steph was all "okay but what about the other characters?" to enable me. As friends do.

Thus, The Black Bird butler cafe au was born~!

I have done something I never thought I'd ever do in my life.

But here it is.

My own little ita bag featuring a bunch of fictional dudes that I am fond of~!

It's nothing too fancy and the spacing is a little clumsy, I'll admit. But I had fun putting it together and figuring out how to space things out so everything is visible in some way. When I decided it was finished, I felt kinda giddy. I've never been good with creating visuals but I was happy with how my bag turned out.

On top of being able to display my fave characters, the bag has lots of space inside and feels pretty sturdy. A big improvement from my old purse (it was a cramped little thing)!
