Wyoming was admitted as the 44th U.S. state on July 10, 1890.
National Wyoming Day
National Wyoming Day is celebrated every year on July 10 to celebrate the day it became the 44th state that joined the union. The territory was brought into existence by an act of Congress on July 25, 1868, with the government being formally inaugurated on May 19, 1869. The day also marks another important occasion on which women were granted the right to vote.
HISTORY OF NATIONAL WYOMING DAY
National Wyoming Day celebrates two occasions, the first is the day it became the 44th state of the U.S. and the second is the day the Wyoming territory passed the bill to grant voting rights to women. It is sometimes even celebrated on December 10 at the behest of the Wyoming Federation of Women’s Clubs who requested this particular day to commemorate the passage of the bill to vote.
The states in the West approved of women’s suffrage as some of the men recognized the important role women played. The state of Wyoming has been inhabited for roughly 13,000 years. However, in around 1869, it was observed that the territory had a huge imbalance in the male and female population. The territory was occupied by 6,000 adult males but only 1,000 females. Men hoped that more women would settle down in the isolated territory and alleviate their issue of loneliness if they were granted the right to vote. Moreover, a territorial legislator by the name of William Bright was convinced by his young wife that it would be a gross injustice to deny women the right to vote. Thus, in 1869, the then governor signed the bill that officially allowed women to vote.
Wyoming boasts many monuments and historical sites. These include the Fossil Butte National Monument and the Fort Laramie National Historic Site. The state even provides magnificent views in the Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park.

What is Wyoming famous for?
Wyoming is home to seven national parks including Yellowstone, which draws millions of tourists every year. The park features the Old Faithful geyser and the largest hot spring in the U.S.
How did Wyoming get its name?
A congressman from Ohio was the first person to propose the name but later had doubts when he saw Wyoming’s dry and wide plains, as ‘Wyoming’ means ‘at the big river flat.’
Who settled Wyoming?
Spain and Mexico had nominally claimed the southern parts of modern-day Wyoming, however, they did not actually live there. It’s believed that John Colter, who was a member of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, was the first American to set foot in Wyoming.

PAC-MAN TURNS 44 TODAY EVERYONE! AKA ITS BEEN 44 YEARS SINCE PAC-MAN’S RELEASE BACK ON MAY 22ND 1980! Pac-Man 44 years, man that’s both long and insane and yet Pac-Man is still staying strong and awesome to this day, I cannot tell you not only how much I love and appreciate Pac-Man and his series but how he was a mass impact, inspiration and influence to my everyday life and my love towards art, animation and especially video games! The Pac-Man games from the classic 1980s game to Pac-Land to Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures - The Pac-Man World Series - Pac n Roll - Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures (that’s still a good show shaddup) and shows that I also grew up with and celebrating his 44th is both a honour and a massive celebration! Pac-Man, thank you and your series for being the light that relit me and my motivation and inspiration for video games and everything around it as a whole along with many others. I’ll forever remain a Pac-Fan and will continue to be.

If the length of a traversal is measured in real-time by tracking the time-buoy as it travels across the Mediun, are the lengths of months determined through a checkpoint system?
If a traversal, which is suggested to function essentially like a year (yes, I know years are sometimes referred to), is how long this buoy takes to travel from point A to point B, then how else would you derive the month subdivisions? It's gotta be checkpoints because I can't think of another way to do it under such a system.
That would mean each month is however many days (which seem to have a more consistent, or even fixed, length) it takes to get to the next checkpoint. That isn't so difficult to imagine, given that's how long a traversal is known to be. We know their months can be long. The Upper Trust meeting about Midst was held on the 44th day of the eleventh month. Let's call it November, since we don't know their names (if they have different names at all). Lark's journal shows that July lasted at least 37 days, September 43, and October 42.
What happens if the Timekeepers lose track of the buoy? Or if it's destroyed? We know that the Timekeepers themselves can become shipwrecked, but what if the buoy? Are there setbacks that add further days to already indeterminately long months?
Scheduling must be all the more impossible when you can only really guess at dates a couple of weeks in advance, at best. Though, it isn't hard to say you're meeting from the 8th to the 10th in the new traversal, beginning of its second week, as Kozma notes that the Barons are. You can schedule anything early in a month by date, and perhaps you have to schedule the rest relative to today ("in ten days"). It does seem to make anything further than the near future a little difficult to conceptualize.
Then there is how Tzila is twelve-and-a-half. The anniversary of the founding of Stationary Hill is celebrated. If traversals are presumably different lengths each time, thus months are variably long, how are annual observances tracked? Is there a complex date conversion system? (Are traversals more accurately conceptualized as a parallel calendar system to a more widely used one, like many calendars are to the Gregorian?) Do they simply observe holidays according to, again, relative to specific points in the cosmos along the buoy's route? That is simply a more granular version of checkpoints for months. Does everyone have a floating birthday: it was the 30th last year, the 36th the year before that, and looking to be the 27th this year?
Imagine the experience of time under all this, where the calendar itself is unsure of how long a month is going to be until it actually ends and dates are, almost literally, fluid. Interminable Januarys, endless Novembers, holidays stalled in the approach, years that never end—it would all be very real.
Just absolutely fascinating to try to extrapolate the possible material reality of a calendar measured out in real-time by tracking a buoy across physical space, driven by a current that moves at variable speeds. What a fascinating lived reality that must lead to. I'm determined to think about the way clocks and calendars work in the cosmos, and the narrators can't stop me. Drop the deets, @midstpodcast, a girl wants to know about the experience and measurement of calendar time in the cosmos.
