Was that first glance truly a gay little moment between Mizu and Akemi, or was she actually surprised (maybe even a little jealous?) that femininity could even look like that? Lavish, spoiled, seemingly loved or at least, something to be desired. I think it's pretty sure that she does not grasp how Akemi's life is a prison just as much as hers. That much is clear in their dialogues and her behavior towards her.

What if that dialogue (you, magical forest creature spoiling your good chances at a good life etc etc) was actually lowkey jealousy? of a life she herself would never get to experience as a woman? of being allowed to be a woman AND have a chance at happiness?

oh no!! poor little, it's not their fault that there are such interesting toys in Target! there's just so many interesting toys nowadays, with new, interesting gimmicks and features!! or even just extraordinarily soft stuffies!! there's just so many toys that can distract a little for a bit too long...

luckily for their cg, whether or not they have a diaper bag with a change of clothes, they're in a Target! at most Targets I've been to, the pharmacy and the accompanying family bathroom/extra large single toilet bathroom, tend to be not too far from the toy aisle!

sure, they'll have to pass by a pharmacist to get to the bathroom, but a good CG knows that it's important to get things cleaned up right away - their little can wait a moment while they tell the pharmacy tech that there's been a "little spill" in the toy aisle! ... even if that person has to then radio a custodian to get to the spill

and if the CG has a change of clothes, then it's smooth sailing, as the accompanying sink makes clean-ups a lot faster! but if the CG has to make a quick run around the store to pick up any necessary clothes, maybe even some protection for their leaky little, I'm sure that the little can wait patiently for CG's special knock to open the door again

and if they're too little and teary-eyed to wait by themselves, well, it's not the end of the world if they have to hide their face in their CG's shoulder as they walk around the store with a tell-tale stain on their legs until they get to the check out...

S was born in Japan when old traditions and the strict discipline was on the peak as consequence of the World Demographic Depression in the end of XXI century. Ghosts always knew S as a son of King, people — as a son of great businessman/scientist/chose a proffesion Vlad-san. This is why he grew up a beta. In so far as S is close to the human world, he always fell in love with them. But he had a sex only once and it was trausmatic experience for both. Everything was fine until the moment S cummed inside her. Sperm came through a condom and hurt his love very strictly. He remembered, dad Danny advised to take an ecto-filter on a date. So, he used the liquid and hell pain was gone. Just imagine: you had a wonderful sex with your beloved, the first sex, but your cum make her scream in pain. It was their last date. Daawwwww I don't have it in me. TOH fans love it for a reason, and there are legitimately good moments! It's just not the most complex or well-written show out there—which it doesn't need to be—but I also totally get your exhaustion. It gets tiring seeing people praise it so highly over and over again when it's just like...fine. It didn't do nothing but it also didn't do something, you know? It's main couple is cute and queer, but that's pretty much all there is to them. It has a fun cast of characters, but they all tend to fall into archetypes. Luz is a sweet main character, but she doesn't have any real flaws and kinda takes a back seat to Hunter and Eda (the white people lol). Her foil with Philip was interesting...but then they kinda backed off and went the "you and Belos are nothing alike" direction.

And It's not that an unsympathetic villian is bad, or that Belos would even be sympathetic with added backstory, it's just that...there were a lot of interesting things to explore with his character that were left hanging.

Like, while he's definitely not at all a good person, it's intriguing that he would bother to recreate his brother over and over again knowing that each time the grimwalker was going to betray him. It's intriguing that he was even willing to kill his brother to begin with (though Caleb was super underutilized in general). Like, you can give a villain depth without justifying or victimizing them (hi Finnegran from tdp, I'll also add Spider Queen & LBD here). So it just feels like a missed opportunity all across the board. It's still surprising to me that we got a confirmation on the Wittebane backstory through an unrelated background character, rather than Philip himself (who had literally possessed a main character, and mindscapes had already been well-established....the pieces were all there me thinks).

And obviously it's like, people can love something despite it's flaws, and they can cherish it for the good it has, but they still don't need to praise it as an ultimate form of media, you know? We don't need to pretend toh was this dark and complex story—it was just a story a lot of people liked and resonated with. Which I'm glad it's there for those people, and I'm glad there are options when it comes to queer pieces of media!

That said the show with the best writing of any modern cartoon is The Dragon Prince (streaming on Netflix).

as local ritsuposter, curious what your thoughts on ritshou, or at least their friendship, are. theyre my personal fav mp100 ship bc i think theyre hilarious, like what the hell is wrong with them.

i think i prefer them as friends or qpps to romantic (Cannot imagine them kissing. hashtag aromantic), but their dynamic is awesome either way. they’re ride-or-die in the way that only closeted queer teens with familial issues who only met each other 5 minutes ago can be. their first interaction was ritsu being beaten unconscious and their second was when shou faked ritsu’s death burned his house down and invited him on a fun patricide trip. they match each others freak to a level that would be dangerous to the public if they didn’t balance each other out enough to be almost normal if you ignore that they’re both kind of lunatics. they’re Polite Young Boys who would pause their shenanigans to help an old lady load her groceries into her car. they fucking go fishing together they’re fishing buddies. actually hold on i drew a post canon ritshou thing like 2 weeks ago (featuring my transfem ritsu headcanon)

tldr i’m not one for romance typically and especially not in a show like mp100 that has such emphasis on platonic bonds but also ritshou is awesome they’re so.
