I have two questions for you, really. Just as proof of the point. But first:

#as an ill person who uses all my time off on medical care #my last vacation was a long weekend in 2018. it is now 2024.#growing up my fam went on 1-2 vacations total in the course of our lives - once to the beach for two days and once to the mountains - 1week #literally the way ppl talk about vacation frequency at my workplace completely baffles me #but literally my default is almost WHAT IS VACATION EVEN I WOULDN'T REALLY KNOW #i didn't get on a plane for the first time till i was 31 #hardly anyone in my community now has been on a plane #80% of the world's population has never flown #90% don't fly each year - come on coworkers it's not that weird

As I improve my art, I always look back at fanart I’ve made for people. I know I can do so much better now than what I did for them at the time, so I occasionally like to ‘update’ my fanart! (As in redraw or draw new art with my current skillz)

That’s what this drawing is, a current update for @allyheart707 and her wonderful fanfic because I think it deserves so much better art than what I could draw at the time!!!

Alice has 3 dads. NONE of them are Todd. (I need to draw Luther with Alice) Oh by the way the last two are from my own little happy ending AU where Kara, Luther, and Alice bring Ralph and Jerry(s) over to Canada with them!! They learn to adapt to life as "humans" and they all love Alice very much! She deserves it.

I got kinda lazy this year so i dint do any fancy smancy background, but I am quite pleased with how my rendering has improved :D I think my colour choices have become more dynamic. I hope I figure out how to really properly draw hair in the next couple of years ; w ;

#improvement #these yearly progress things are never drawn in my usual year style T O T #ik i said last year that artstyles are a myth in developing artists but i feel like i still draw a certain way normally #i think 2016 and 2018 were kinda indicative of how i drew those years but everything else was more different from my usual styles #that being said- the way i draw still leaks into these yearly progresses even if im being quirky #like in 2017 i didnt colour my shading like that. but i did use that thick lineart for everything #so u can still get an inkling of how i drew that year
