OKAY SO EXPLANATION OF THE HERMITS

Grian - Grian joined in Season 6, so he’s newer than some of the other hermits, but he’s one of the most popular members of the SMP and he coordinates a lot of things. His series tends to be more building and pranking oriented. He hangs around with Mumbo, Scar, and Gem a lot, but in his most recent episode he did a sever tour and met up with each of the hermits in order to see their base. (I admittedly had to skip through and find my hermits. The video is 7 hours long XD) Also he has one of the most contagious laughs I’ve ever heard! Mumbo - Mumbo joined Hermitcraft in Season 2. He’s a redstoner, but this season he’s wanted to work on his building as well. He and Grian are buddies since before their time on Hermitcraft together, and he and Scar also get along really well. A couple of fun facts about Mumbo: He presses shift with his thumb, and his WASD keys with his pointer finger. (You’ll hear the thumb shifting brought up every once in a while because everyone else is weirded out by it). He’s also constantly moving. Scar - Scar joined in season 4. I’ve seen less of his content than I have of Grian and Mumbo’s, but what I have seen has all been Season 10. Scar tends to have a specific theme for his character each season and it’s always something new. This season he’s being a zookeeper! Scar’s series from what I’ve seen tends to be more building and terraforming focused (He’s an incredible builder. I’d highly recommend looking up pictures of Scarland, his season 9 Base). Scar seems to hang out with pretty much anyone who’s online. I’ve seen him the most with Grian and Mumbo, but it’s not uncommon for him to go bug Tango while Tango’s working on a project and for the two of them (plus whoever else drops by) to get sidetracked and go on crazy adventures. That tends to be more of a stream thing though, I think. Scar loves StarWars and Disney, so it’s pretty common to get a reference to one (or both) of those two with his episodes. Skizz - Skizz is one of the newest hermits, having joined this season (the other is Joel). I haven’t actually watched his season 10 yet, but from my experience with some of his other content, Skizz is great if you’re looking for good hermit-hermit interactions. He’s one of the less clean hermits, although still pretty clean by most media’s standards, but he’s pretty positive and he gets along well with everyone I’ve seen him interact with! Skizz and Impulse are like best friends irl, and they live really nearby each other. Tango also lives near them and they met up and are irl friends as well. Tango - Tango also joined in season 2, but later on. I think he was temporarily whitelisted in order to help Mumbo with his iron farm (Tango’s design) and then they invited him back. Tango doesn’t claim to be a builder (lies.) and is more redstone focused. With that, it’s less secret-base, and more like making a computer within Minecraft to do what he wants it to do (games, factory, etc.) He tends to hang around with whoever shows up while he’s working, so usually Scar or Etho. He and Etho have also collaborated on a redstone project this season that’s absolutely crazy (on top of Tango’s normal crazy projects) and makes my brain bluescreen of death trying to understand it. Impulse - Impulse joined in season 3. Okay, so I’ve watched a couple of Impulse’s Season 10 episodes, but I’ve gotten more familiar with him because of the podcast that he and Skizz do, and also the collabs he’s done with Skizz and Grian and Scar for other games. Impulse is pretty chill. He’s another redstoner, which he’s done some of this season, and he’s also in the midst of collaborating on a large building project with Bdubs. Fun Fact: He, Skizz, and Tango, are all dads irl. Impulse as far as I know has done this more than Skizz or Tango, but sometimes the dad vibes come out in videos or on stream while interacting with other hermits or with chat. Okay, those are the hermits I have the most information on, but there are a bunch more and they all have their own way of doing things! I hope this helps :))

Since the time of you sending this ask (ik it was forever ago srry abt that), I have actually started watching a lot more non-Minecraft content from Grian and Scar *cough cough* phasmaphobia *cough cough* and through that Ive also seen a lot more of Impulse and Skizz! I DEFINITELY know what you mean about the dad vibes with Impulse, I haven’t thought abt it much but it makes a lot of sense lol

I actually just watched a little bit of Skizz and Impulse’s podcast today! I watched pt one of their episode with Scar and it was really interesting (even though I don’t usually listen to podcasts)

So the two hermits I know the most are Grian and Scar and I really don’t know anything abt Tango besides everything you’ve told me so I definitely want to watch some of his content!!!! Quick question tho! How do you switch povs when watching hermitcraft? Like do you rewatch the same episode with a new hermit or watch ep 1 with Tango then ep 2 with Grian or something? Because I cant think of a good way to try out other povs in one season. Idk if that makes any sense???? I just naturally want to pick one hermit and watch the whole season through that pov but I also REALLY REALLY (two reallys) want to try some other povs and I don’t know how to go about that!

The Mumbo using his thumb to shift was actually brought up in Life Series and that is just funniest thing dwcbishdcbscduibdcsiubcsdbh

Wait so i was thinking about Trinna again- can she fly? Like she’s quite self conscious about them and they’re pretty beat up all the time, so does she even know how? Asking for no reason of course…

Great question!!

No she sadly cannot fly, and this is because 1. She has had no one to teach her and whenever she has tried it’s just ended in ridicule and embarrassment (this was when she was younger) and 2. If she could fly, with the current habit of using her wings as shields, it would hurt too much to get in the air. But! That said, if she were to learn how to fly (which I’m thinking she does eventually) she would LOVE it. Her wings would definitely be adapted into her fighting style beyond as shields (though it would take awhile to break the habit), and instead of her wings being sore from taking blow after blow they’d be sore from flying all day!

So yeah! Basically she can’t fly, but would love it if she could! :D
