Who are some of your favourite writers here?

That's a tough one because I love A LOT of them, but here are the ones that have stuck out to me.

Firstly I'll talk about some Wanda writers:

@mionemymind: one of the most compelling writers out there. I think I have a personal bias because we're similar and share similar interests (star wars lol), they've literally written a star wars based wanda fic!!! Apart from that they have really good one shots and stories. My personal favorite one shots have to be To Be Loved Is To Be Considered, The Actress & The Geek, and my personal favorite Blood Drive.

Aside from being a writer Mionemymind is also a really great person to the community and friends, and I can't tell you how many times I've smiled because of their reblogs. Truly awesome sauce.

@targaryenmarvel: From the moment her story "Fallin all in you" came onto my feed, I was desperately hooked. Absolutely one killer of a story and I can't wait for more. Really great writing and its just so perfect, that story meant everything to me at one point <3

@fortuositywritings: I love everything about this authors writing, but my most favorite thing about their style is the humor. It's so natural and well paced, it makes me smile without fail every time. They aren't as active, and I hope they're doing amazing but if I could let this author know that their series I Said No, and Love Bug changed my writing forever, I would do it in a heartbeat. They're one of the reasons I'm writing for Wanda here today.

@ziggyzolch: I discovered their fic on ao3 first and I've got to say it has me hooked. They deal with more serious topics on series and its one of my favorite parts about their style, honestly Your Prettiness is Seeping Through has got to be hands down one of my favorite series in 2024. Amazing work and great representation to those who need it.

And lastly @wandascosmic: I haven't seen much of her until today but her new series you belong with me has quickly become so special to me that I can't help but mention her. The humor between reader and Sam is amazing, but also the interactions between reader and Wanda have my heart aching so sweetly. I feel like a leech with how quickly I've sunk into this story, you belong with me is so sweetly written and I enjoy every second of it. Amazing work.

Now for the Jenna Ortega fandom, I think I have quite a list. There's so many amazing writers out there it's crazy, I'm always so well fed by both fandoms.

I've got to start out with the legendary @cobaltperun: I binged Lost, for 2 days straight. I was HOOKED. so hooked this story got in the way of my personal life because I couldn't stay away from my phone. I love the way you write Tara and gosh did the series kill and heal me. Aside from Lost, Woe out the storm is also such a sweet story. The whole concept Raiju is so interesting to me now and damn do I love a good slow burn. Im just so deeply impressed too by their rapid request process, and how much they get done, its moving.

Another legend @letorip: First I've just got to mention, his headcannons for characters are amazing and I'm CONSTANTLY having to restrain myself from asking for more because I would only continue. I highly recommend them, they're like stories in themselves. But aside from Headcannons, my personal favorite fic of his would have to be somethin' stupid, especially part 3. The whole series is a must read and gosh do I love the writing, its so beautifully described, every inch of it.

@ajortga: every fic of hers is a fucking BANGER. there's never a fic in which I'm left dissatisfied. I love it all, eat it all. When I find her on my feed, you know I'm immediately digging in. Everything is always so fluffy and nice and just makes a girl feel better yk? I completely recommend reading Cute and Absolute, My Girl, and Bear hugs. All super fluffy and heart warming fics, its crazy <333

@persevereforahappyending: This author stabs me, kills me, brings me back to life, and then stabs me again with angst but I go back every time. Specifically to their newest series A Legacies Secret which is. So. Fucking. Good. They really cooked with that one. Every Friday like clockwork I'm checking for notifications and I'm never disappointed. Their writing style just leaves a grip on you and the plots are so clever too, they're very unique and I love them. Luck Runs Out is another great series and damn I revisit that thing once every two weeks for a reminder on what true love really is.

And lastly but not least one of my newest favorite authors of all time is @honorarysimp: Uncanny Distortion was one of the best things I ever read, the plot, whilst held similarities to scream, had such a creative own twist to the authors imagination. I absolutely loved it, Tara and Detective made my day for weeks, and then came Rumor has it and now two others hold my heart, and break it, a lot. this series feels like its gonna hurt me. But overall Honorary simp is such an underrated writer and I really hope that more people will notice you out there and give you some more well deserved attention because God damn your fics are masterfully crafted and I don't even have the words to describe how much I adore them, all I can say is that I carved a space in my heart for Detective and Lucky.

that was longer than I intended but all of these authors came from the top of my head so they mean a lot to me. Tumblr is a way better place with all of these creative souls in it and honestly I wouldn't have gotten far without all this inspiration surrounding me ❤️

sorry (and not sorry) for the long hiatus cuz i'm enjoying life :)

so a few days ago i came across several posts about their challenge and i decided to try it out ! i didn't plan to post or anything so there wasn't a "what i'll be manifesting" post, but the results were so insane i had too make one.

ଓ affirmations i used:

regardless of everything...

nothing can ruin my manifestations

i always manifest within 3 days or less

i have everything i desire

ଓ what i manifested:

always confident and friendly, good at socializing

that's exactly what i did. i feel like a social butterfly at school and it's easier for me to join in convos now. making friends and having small talk just became easier for me. and i don't overthink so much anymore

being more included in my friend groups

i have a group i hang out with at uni for like 4-5 months now but i wasn't rlly active until this challenge LMAO now i'm like so comfortable with everyone and felt more like a part of the group. it also went like this with my other friend groups that i just started hanging out since this year. i actually speak to people individually now woah :)

getting closer with an SP

idk i thought this guy was cute so i just included this and at first the situation was: he's close with my friends but he's not in any of my friend groups so we don't hang much at all. but then after 2-3 days since this challenge, our mutual friend suddenly ADDED HIM into the group out of the blue and we all started going out and he is SUCH A GENTLEMAN to me + he added my socials as well hehe

school is fun, assignments are easy & no stress

literally came to school to chit chat and i'm not stressed at all. i get my work done on time and everything goes so smooth fr. and the best part is my classmates are the sweetest ugh SCHOOL IS FUN (they are the uni friend group i just mentioned up there) and they'd always gather around my seat lol and we'd chat the whole class.

same skin care routine – skin clearer than ever. no longer uneven dark spots or small little bumps <3 smooth like a baby's bottom :) my mom actually thought i was wearing makeup when i literally just washed my face n removed all the makeup !!

i slept like usual but my dark circles rlly went away since this challenge i'm actually surprised (even tho it should go away cuz it's the law lmao) and usually they'd still show when i have my makeup on but now it's wayyy less noticeable

friends from other countries coming to mine so we could hang out

just went out with one the other day lmao so check ✔️ i guess

everyone cares about me and is very nice to me

yoo my friends were so patient and attentive to me and even the taxi drivers are nice, they'd start convos and not in a creepy way. everyone is so nice for real <333

ଓ what i did:

i just read the list and affirm whenever i can, mostly focused on the 4D and know it's inevitable that they'd manifest <3 cuz it's already mine the moment i think i have it. and honestly the "nothing can ruin my manifestations" line helped me a lot.

other than that i did nothing in the 3D. i never initiated anything. they all just came to me just ✨ like ✨ that ✨

i got most of my desires within 3 days but i still continued affirming after 3 days cuz like why not? it's like i'm doing the challenge again or sum but yes i still get desired results after that.

btw i also listened to quite a few subliminals alongside doing this challenge just because i can xD even for the same desires and like they both manifested but anyways i'll make a separate post on my subliminal results.

Since its joint premiere in 2011 in Edinburgh and SummerWorks festival, White Rabbit Red Rabbit has been translated into more than 30 different languages and been performed over 3,000 times by some of the biggest names in theatre and film.

this is specifically for sam & also max bc im most confident w my interpretations of them but once i play & finish tdp i'll make a post for every single other character .

quick disclaimer that this is for my sorta-AU thing where i make sense of the games and cartoon and comics by saying that each was an autobiographical (or just biographical) piece of media that they signed their rights away to. the comics were more or less exactly what happened, the cartoon was scripted half the time (with the bad day on the moon episode actively having been staged) and the games are more or less 1:1 to what happened except for the occassional references to them being. games.

sammy

canon to get it outta the way: he's black, bisexual, autistic and might be trans & objectum (i hc him to definitely be the last two lmao) . i hc he has Narcissistic Traits tee em and also might have OCD

he started developing arthritis in his 20's, which was made only worse by his horrible posture due to his career path of Massive Fucking Nerd. though he fixed his back posture-wise by the time he formed the freelance police, he still is in a lot of pain near constantly.

even when he makes jokes, he wants to be taken seriously at all times. he wants you to laugh at his cleverness, not at the fact that you find him inherently funny. he tends to take this a bit far sometimes, which is part of one of the many reasons as to why he treated max so terribly in the early telltale games

since he was a pup he's tried to hide the fact he's bisexual, even if he's completely normal abt max being out as gay and doesn't see an issue with it in any sense of the term

he really wanted to be an engineer for years, but the intense sexism of the field, a desire to stick around with max, and the fact that other jobs would pay him better lead him to abandon the thought

though he wouldn't mind having children, he doesn't actively want them as much as max does. this doesn't mean he dislikes children at all, though - he actually likes them more than max does, at least conceptually

not too long after the cartoon's release, he lost contact with most of his family, excluding ruth. this was fully intentional on his part: max's refusal to talk to his family except at gatherings he stole food and drugs from inspired him to take more control of his life and contact with people he's related to

he sort of wants to grow his hair out again, but isn't sure what style to get... (i like drawing him w afros though)

completely opposite to max's feelings, sam feels a strictly familial or platonic attraction to lumpy. and platonic being based offa that plato fun fact is very very definitely relevant here i think (im sorry)

if he went with any other job, it'd have to be letterist, full stop. he has several styles of handwriting and they're all gorgeous

he's a super sweet, incredibly silly drunk, and lets himself relax and show more of his dog mannerisms when drunk enough (thank you celebrity poker 2 i love you)

maxamillion

canonically a narcissistic psychopath who might have schizophrenia. its ok i can reclaim him<333 (no i cant but my partner can) he also has a horrible family life but his family stuck together out of mutual hatred and a desire to reap society's rewards for the nuclear standard

this horrible shithead has prolly claimed to have every physical disability at some point but he's only been diagnosed w/ hypermobile joint disorder / ehler-dahlos

in the more modern time of 2024, he usually sticks to only mocking people for things that are a. traits he shares with them or b. actually disturbing, inhumane or generally Yucky

he's wanted kids for years, which is why he's constantly not-so-subtly mentioning it.

he's a deeply unprofessional drag queen AND drag king and loves playing around with both sides of the coin. he also does drag creature stuff but that's just how he normally looks so!

thanks to the autism and schizophrenia he's very touch averse. the only people he really wants touching him are sam (and sometimes, maybe, rarely, flint paper)

to say that he doesn't have any familial affection for lumpy is understating it. he uses lumpy as his personal (and fully consenting) stimtoy whenever he feels like it, regardless of where or who might see 'em.

he sometimes pretends he's still president to make people do stuff for him. this only works on sam though

though he's physically capable of handwriting so gorgeous it rivals sam, he saves that for the disgustingly cheesy, 'anonymous' love letters he sends him every year or seven

he's a mainer. a mainiac if ya will. grew up closer to the south and he's got some relatives from mass so he's got that masshole/bostoner accent. he's usually good at hiding his accent, but it's obvious when you ask him to say shit like "clam chowder" and "lobster" and "fish"

though he hates most country music, he still loves johnny cash

they invented paralell play. sam w his computers and his papers and max with his drawing and stabbing the desk until it looks like a modern art piece

they're both extremely jealous of other people, but somehow have both missed that. sam's worried he's too jealous and overprotective, while max thinks he could stand to be a little more obsessive

one of their favorite things to do together is go to the comic book store and laugh at how horrible their childhood favorite comics have gotten (or always were)

every wedding shown is canon in some way, but around the telltale games sam started thinking they were just 'ironic' and 'a joke' and etc. despite the EXTREMELY high budget each had. he knows better now

max's whole "not making fun of anyone unless they're enough like him (or suck)" actually extends to sam as well. he's more than fine with making fun of someone bc they're fat or whatever despite the fact he clearly isn't. this is MOSTLY because he keeps forgetting he and sam don't share every single experience.

though sam is against drinking as a whole, the two sometimes go out to horribly shitty bars to get the worst in junk food & beer. every time they do, max happily proclaims that it was the best date EVER.

max almost likes sam's singing, sometimes, but this is usually only because he just really likes sam's voice

neither of them know how to use modern technology. when one finds out a single way a single program or feature works, they excitedly show the other like they just found the missing link between humans and neanderthals or whatever

sam helps with max's injections since max really seriously can't handle needles. it's the worst for the both of them, but the treats and snacks and ten-hour-long movie binges after help with the fear

generally speaking, max can get up and out of bed any time from around 6 to 13. sam gets up at 6:30 or 7:45 exactly every day, which means he usually makes breakfast if he feels up to cooking.

other than the aforementioned horrible bars, they have a lot of 'weird' date locations, like the dog park, the local sewer system, hell, etc.

When I Woke Up- Nahida & fem!Reader

Description: Hello I'm sorry if I'm bothering you but I wanted to request an idea I just got that's based on the Sumeru archon quest, okay so what if the reader, who posses a vision, has dreams with Nahida ever since she was a child until she became a teenager, they'd play and do all kinds of things together in a beautiful flower field and the reader even started to view Nahida as a younger sister despite Nahida being hundreds of years older, but one day when the reader just became a teenager Nahida tells the reader what was happening with the sages and how she was basically imprisoned on the Sanctuary of Surasthana, just as the traveler and Paimon arrive in Sumeru, which infuriates the reader especially since she couldn't stand the sage's arrogance especially since she was friends with a lot of people in Sumeru including Nilou and it would take almost everything in her power to not lose her temper.

Notes: This work was recovered in conjunction with an anonymous researcher, we thank them for their contributions. Reader's like, 19 here, and I image people get their akasha terminals at 8. Anyways, Reader isn't really hot headed like the request kind of implied, she's more just impulsive. Also this ended up being super long. Finally, it starts in first person but 90% of this is third person.

When I woke up, I was riding in a flower carriage. There was a girl my age with white hair and skin as pale as moonlight. Her eyes were so green they looked like they were glowing. She told me her name was Nahida, I told her my name was Y/n. We talked for hours, and hours until I woke up.

When I woke up, I was riding in a flower carriage. Nahida looked the same, but I was taller now. She cupped my face and said she had to look up at me now. I braided her hair as we talked, and talked, until I woke up.

When I woke up, I was… Nahida was crying. She looked the same as ever, but I could barely lay down in the flower carriage now. I cupped her face in my hands and brushed the tears off her cheeks.

“Why are you crying?”

“I-I want to meet you,” Nahida sobbed, holding onto my hands. “I want to meet you before…”

When I woke up, I was in my room, with a hydro vision clutched in my hand and tears soaking my pillow.

“Good morning Nilou,” Y/n beamed as she set a box down backstage.

“Good morning,” Nilou laughed.

The dancer was busy stretching while everyone else set up for the Sabzeruz Festival. Y/n sat down across from Nilou and began to join in on her stretches.

“You seem to be in a good mood today.”

“Ya well, I have a feeling I’ll get to meet a friend of mine soon,” Y/n hummed. Nilou finished stretching and helped her up. The two made their way to the edge of the stage and looked out over the Grand Bazaar.

“Your pen pal? Is she planning on visiting Sumeru soon?”

“Something like that…”

Nilou turned to Y/n, brows furrowed in confusion, when she finally saw it.

“You have a vision!” Nilou squealed, causing Y/n to break out into a wide grin.

“I know, isn’t it cool? And it’s hydro, like yours!”

The sound of the Bazaar doors opening caught both of their attention, and they turned to see Dunyarzad waving from the far end. Both girls waved back, and Y/n jumped down from the stage earning herself a scolding from some of the other stage hands while Nilou rushed down the stairs. Dunyarzad and Dehya introduced the two to Lumine and Paimon, travelers who were hoping to meet Lesser Lord Kusanali.

Y/n’s fingers tightened around her sleeve at the mention of the archon.

Meanwhile the mention of the Lesser Lord sent Nilou on an explanation about the Sabzeruz Festival. Nilou somehow ended up on a lament about the Padisarahs being different from the ones found in the time of the Goddess of Flowers.

“She dreams of being able to dance among ‘real’,” Y/n put air quotes around the word real, “Pardisarahs.”

“Don’t tell me you don’t wonder what they look like in comparison,” Nilou huffed.

I’ve seen them.

“Well, take a look around,” Nilou urges, “and be sure to come check out the Festival!”

“We will!” Paimon assures her before she and the Traveler wander off.

“Hey, Nilou?”

“Yes?”

“I’m gonna take off for the day, if that’s okay. I promise I’ll come by extra early tomorrow to help with last minute setup, there’s just something I want to handle before tomorrow.”

Nilou frowned, and Y/n found herself silently praying for the girl’s unwavering trust to extend to this one request. The dancer knew how much the festival meant to Y/n, so for her to dip out of set up it must have been important.

“Alright,” Nilou sighed, clearly reluctant. “I’ll see you tomorrow then?”

“Absolutely.”

Y/n pulled her friend into a tight hug.

“See you!”

“Bye!”

Y/n quickly ascended the streets that wrapped around the massive tree. She kept an eye out for some kind of hidden path that led higher into the tree where she could barely see a building, the Sanctuary of Surasthana, but she ended up on the path to the Academia. As naturally as possible, she tried to look around the building to see if there was another path off to the side but found nothing.

Seeing as she wasn’t a scholar, she couldn’t very well waltz into the building so see if there was a door that let out closer to the building she was aiming for. She’d climb this damn tree if she had too, but even then she needed to get closer to the Sanctuary.

She watched a student enter the building with someone else, the student was explaining something about an old language and her companion was interjecting with information from a recent excavation-

Y/n runs back down the path towards Puspa cafe. It was around lunch time so hopefully he would be there.

Upon her arrival, she made a B-line for Enteka.

“Enteka, hey,” she greeted the acting manager.

“Oh, Y/n, want the usual?”

“Actually I’ll just take some candied Ajilenakh nuts to go please, I’m on a mission.”

“Of course,” she passed on the order. “So, what can I do for you?”

“Have you seen Cyno today?”

The woman frowned and looked pensive for a moment.

“No, it’s actually been a few days since I last saw him.”

“Damn,” Y/n sighed. “Thanks.”

Y/n headed up to the counter to grab her bag of candied nuts and pay before leaving. Munching on the nuts, she headed to the corps of thirty to ask around some more about the General Mahamatra.

The corps of thirty didn’t know anything, but they suggested checking in with Cyrus to see if he’d heard from him, so that’s where she went next. Of course no visit with Cyrus could be short as the man offered her some coffee and insisted she looked stressed. 

“Thank you Master Cyrus,” Y/n smiled as she stepped out of his house.

“Next time you come by, bring Cyno with you!”

“I will!”

Y/n sighed as soon as the door closed and looked out at the horizon. The sun was setting and she was no closer to finding Cyno to get into the Academia. A part of her hoped she could free Nahida and bring her to the festival tomorrow, it would only be right after all, but it seemed like that wouldn’t be happening.

She stopped walking suddenly, watching the ground carefully. A moment after her, the person behind her stopped walking; their shadow was almost completely melded with the growing darkness, and she’d only caught sight of them thanks to the street lights.

Taking a deep breath, she started walking a little faster. Her pursuer kept pace, staying at a slight distance.

Instead of heading to her home, Y/n redirected herself to Nilou’s– something her pursuer must have known, somehow, because suddenly she was pulled back and a hand was clamped over her mouth. Y/n thrashed about, trying to scream. In the back of her mind she recognized the sleeves of her captor, but before she could make a get away she felt a sharp pinch in her neck. After a few moments, her body felt heavy and everything went dark.

For the first time in her life, Y/n entered a dreamless sleep.

When she came to, she was restrained to a bed in what she guessed was the Academia. She opened her mouth to speak, but quickly bit her tongue as she considered the consequences of being awake. Not that anything would change, as a voice spoke up addressing her.

“One result, can ruin an entire experiment worth of data. Somehow, your dreams were never uploaded to the Akasha.”

A man with blue hair and a pointy black mask sat beside her. Y/n felt like he was watching her, but she could see his eyes. He was holding a clipboard with a page folded over like he was in the middle of looking it over.

“Eleven years… and those fools couldn’t tell they were completely missing someone. So tell me, how did you do it?”

He was definitely staring at her now.

“Who are you?”

“Answer the question.”

“I don’t know what you mean.”

The corners of the man’s mouth turned down before he let out an exhausted sigh and got up.

“What business do you have with the General Mahamatra?”

“Why do you want to know?”

She could see the man flex his empty hand in annoyance as he looked over something on a nearby table. Y/n tried to wiggle her hands out of the restraints, to no avail. 

“I don’t have time for this,” the man snapped, storming out of the room.

The sudden outburst startled her, causing her to yank a little too hard on her restraints and hurt herself. As she whined in pain, two eremites came in, cautiously releasing her from her restraints to escort her away.

They started with her wrists. In the moment between her right wrist being freed and the erimite taking hold of her again, she jabbed the heel of her palm into his face. She hit his nose, stunning him, giving herself a chance to grab his scabbard which she swung at the other erimite.

Unfortunately, in the time it took her to turn back to the first erimite, the man had recovered and began wrestling her for his scabbard. He managed to take it back, and the other man stopped Y/n from hitting either of them.

It took a while, but they wrestled her into the confinement room in the Academia and left.

Night after dreamless night passed her by as she wandered around the cell. There was no obvious way to escape and her vision, which she hadn’t even used yet, had been confiscated upon her initial capture. Y/n had taken to meditating to try and make contact with Nahida since they must have been close to each other, but she had no luck.

Anxiety started to creep up in her mind. How long would she be kept here? Where had Cyno gone? Was Nilou worried about her? How long had she been here?

A sudden commotion outside cut through her spiral.

“Let us go!”  A familiar high pitched voice whined, accompanied by the sound of heels on the stone floor.

Y/n scrambled to her feet and stood in front of the door as it opened, and the blonde traveler and her floating companion were tossed it. They seemed surprised to see here, but the floating companion quickly turned around and started banging on the door.

“ Aargh, don’t lock us up! Let us out! Waah!”

“They’re probably gone by now,” Y/n sighed.

“Oh yeah, hehe… Paimon got a bit carried away there.” She floated up to the traveler. “How was Paimon’s acting just now? Great, huh?”

“Acting?”

Lumine nodded. She opened her mouth to speak but stopped herself and seemed to consider her words for a moment.

“What are you doing here?”

“I’ve been here for ages. I was looking for a friend and then I got kidnapped, I’ve been here ever since. Apparently there was something about the Academia not collecting my dreams?”

Paimon and Lumine shared a conspiratory glance before filling Y/n in everything that had happened since her disappearance.

“I want to help.”

“But-”

“Please, Nahida, she’s my friend. That’s… that’s what I was doing when I got captured. I mean it sounds stupid now, I woke up with a vision after she told me that the Sage’s had her trapped here, and my first thought was to break her out so she could see the Sabzeruz Festival.”

“Maybe that’s why the Akasha couldn’t collect your dreams,” Lumine mumbled. She seemed hesitant, but she agreed to let Y/n help. “We need to find the place with the best signal in the room to talk to Nahida. Any suggestions?”

“Um,” Y/n looked at the sky and turned around a few times as she tried to picture where she was, “over here is probably the closest to the Sanctuary,” she said as she walked over toa  corner.

“Thanks.”

“Eh, is this the right spot? Are you getting anything?”

“It’s faint, but… I have a signal.”

“Aah, please work.”

Paimona dn Y/n went silent as Lumine entered the realm of consciousness through the akasha. Once they were sure she was through, Paimon turned to Y/n.

“So, what was your plan?”

“I uh… I was looking for a friend to help me get into the Academia so I could try to find a way to get to the Sanctuary. Then I was sort of just going too… walk in.”

“No offense, but I think our plan is better,” Paimon said.

It was a better plan, and before Y/n knew it they were out of the confinement room. Once Dehya left, Y/n led Paimon and Lumine up to the Sanctuary of Surasthana. The three stopped at the door.

“I think you should go in first,” Lumine said, hand hovering just in front of the door.

“Wha-huh? But, this is your plan, you’re the ones saving her.”

“Paimon thinks Lumine is right. You’re her friend, you should be the first one she sees.”

Hesitantly, Y/n pushed open the door and led the three inside. She’d hoped to make it here on her own merit, but that didn’t matter. Not now, as she watched the glowing ball that served as Nahida’s cage disperse. Not as she watched her friend, her sister, float down to the ground.

“Nahida…” Paimon whispered, and Lumine nudged Y/n forward.

Y/n’s steps were slow as she approached the archon.

“Hello,” Nahida smiled, looking up at Y/n. “Should I say ‘it’s nice to meet you’?”

Y/n crouched down to the archon’s level, returning her sweet smile.

“I would say, it’s good to see you again,” Y/n laughed before pulling Nahida into a hug.

This year was the year of me promptly tossing myself back into C-Drama land during the first week of January, after I suddenly remembered that Heroes existed and I hadn't finished it. From there I finally went "what's all this then" at DMBJ and watched Ultimate Note for Zeng Shunxi and Liu Yuning. And then spent the first half of the year in DMBJ hell and also watching DMBJ-adjacent things. I was basically watching one new drama every ten days, give or take. Had a very good time.

And I WOULD'VE watched more than 10 dramas and shortened my MDL watchlist if Mysterious Lotus Casebook hadn't begun airing and promptly took up every braincell I had. I'm still here. I'm writing fic. I changed my url for this goddamn show. Favourite drama of the year hands down for the characters, narrative, and production, but it meant I could not move on and at this moment the odds of doing so are not happening. (My MLC tag according to my blog archive has 1610 posts as of writing this. If anyone is wondering how I've been doing.)

I'm glad I'm here though! Made the most friends on here this year through MLC fandom, and I like the coziness this place has. Hope we'll all be around in the future still when things like Hero Legends start airing. I don't want to lose y'all <333

Writing-wise, Ao3 says I posted 10,398 words. Not the most, but compared to the 6,587 in 2022, I'll take that. I also know that I definitely wrote more fic than what actually ended up on Ao3 (and I'm still writing!), so I'm happy enough with that.

I also ended up writing so much more for MLC in meta and random analysis. It's the most I've ever done for any fandom and I enjoyed it a lot. Watching the show as it came out and speculating/talking aloud with you all was such a fun experience, idk if it'll happen again but I'm glad it did this time.

Alrighty, I'm running out of steam here, but this was, overall, a fun year and there's a lot more shows I'm looking forward to talking about in 2024!

drew a LOT more and semi-consistently with figure drawing classes, i really like being able to see the change over time!!

leatherwork classes :3 so worth it and excited to make a strap harness with leather that gf gifted to me :333

started wearing jewelry again. i stopped doing this when i started hrt and i missed it

got first and second tattoos!!

got another ear piercing!

got new glasses which 1) seeing is good lmfao but 2) feeling like these fit better with my current vibes than the ones that 17 y/o me picked out

have successfully been practicing polyamory AGAIN for a few months now and it's been great. just my ideal relationship structure(s)

^ related i have met so many ppl i wouldn't have otherwise and oogh. just being around trans people more irl in any capacity is so lovely. idek how to explain it but talking with cis people, there's so many... cultural?? walls??? what's the deal with them. anyway i had a different date every day for the past 4 days and i am SOOO not looking forward to going back to work and interacting with the ppl there 💀

there's a local cuisine that originated from a state that my family and i once going for a camping trip this summer and it is so popular among the locals which is called "daging salai masak lemak cili api" which actually a smoked beef cooked with a very spicy + creamy gravy.... and yeah, we went to one of the most popular reautrant there that serve that dishes and it's just a best experience i've ever been before, even i'm not able to finish it because my spice tolerance is not enough for the most spiciest local cuisine in my country (i mean i almost able to finish it actually because how tasty it was but yeah it's just too spicy to handle it 😭😭)

well, i would say enjoy your precious time during this first two semesters of uni because you don't expect what's happening during this 2nd year that i've face rn 🫠🫠 (i mean ngl tho i'm starting to get more busy with all the assignments + multimedia designs i need to work for my uni's esports club)

Yes and no? My mom wanted one name, my father another one. My father won so I'm named like my mother (which she doesn't like. The naming me like her, not our name, our name slaps) and she added the name she wanted as my second one. So I am not technically named after someone but in a way I am? It depends on who you ask lol

2. when was the last time you cried?

Oh god sorry to the groupchat but 2024 started strong and two nights ago I was fully crying on my couch while texting the GC because I was feeling very inadequate about myself and parts of my life and my future and it all built up. So yeah, started 2024 by crying 2 days in.

I used to swim, which I adored, and also did judo for a year. Then I switched to ballet, which I did for almost a decade, and afterwards, I went to flamenco. Idk if dancing is included in "sports" but I will count it in

I honestly don't know. I think I tend to go for the eyes or the hands
