having no fucking credit card ruined my chance to get sleep token tickets ... i was in line, got to pick my tickets and then got kicked out of the payment process after 5 mins because I don't have a credit card and my friend who wanted to join was too slow to send me their info. i hate it here.

what i need is a link to admin at the mercury and admin at the wnba. set me up a special account so i can see all the old videos from the old website. and get me a computer with all 19000+ minutes of dt games and a strong video editor. really i'd like all the old footage too.
#it's devastating bc i'm trying to find the full presser from the 2007 finals when dt says is a smack in the face not the same as a punch#but also what i want to do is clip every single dt assist and almost assist into what has to be like a 5 hour video#and then of course all the baskets#but i did the math and if you're watching film for 8 hours a day it would take like 161 days to watch all her wnba games#like i said yesterday i was watching a handful of games and her passes ..really we don't talk about the act of passing the ball enough#i would like to watch other old games too like the comets 97-2000#now my hope is that it doesn't happen this year but when it does happen [and i have a list]#mat should pay her like 1.5 million/year to consult for the org . which might mean doing nothing but show up at occasional games#and i know she doesn't want to coach or gm but i think she would be so good at roster creation recruitment and draft day decisions#like i said i have a list but i'm not going to put it out until it needs to be put out#i want to watch every game that cheryl miller coached#but that you can't watch candace parker's rookie season#or anything from LJ#or any comets games#or postseason prior to 2015#it's so disrespectful to not have them available#you could sell box sets of seasons by team and charge like 20 bucks per each and i'd eat them up#or full seasons of games#it is so concerning from the archival side that so much footage only lives publicly on these old youtube accounts from 12 15 17 years ago#and the best we can do is hope nothing gets deleted

now that i managed to get meds for my adhd a couple months ago, i actually find it quite funny how so many people who "aren't addicted to anything" will look down on drug addicts who are addicted to "illegal" drugs like idk heroin or meth or what have you
and then turn around and go "i can't function without my morning coffee, but I'm not addicted, it just gets rid of my common caffeine withdrawal symptoms like headaches, dizzyness, tiredness (fatigue), general irritability, mental fogginess, nausea and my general bad mood in the morning, but seriously, I'm not addicted at all, I can just overall function way better with coffee in the morning and also throughout the rest of the day!"
yeah i bet you can function a lot better in your day to day life when you're not actively going through withdrawal and can get your fix several times a day at work or for less than 10 bucks at every corner in every city with even some fancy stuff on top that makes it taste even better.
yeah, you're SO much better and SO above the people who DO have a drug problem and have to spend half their paycheck or even more on their daily fix because their drug isn't so normalized that it's even considered a necessity of daily life and therefore can be gotten for cheap and the price of which is even regulated by the government is some countries.
and when i said "funny" i actually meant " incredibly infuriating and two-faced"
#i always thought this whole “addicts as 2nd class citizens” thing was bullshit#but now that i take daily meds myself i get it so much more than i did before#the average coffee drinking person is very much addicted to coffee#they get just better and cheaper access to their drug#and their price STAYS at less than 10 bucks#imagine if for every cup of coffee you had to pay 20% more than you did for the last one#the first is 10 bucks#but the next one is gonna cost you 12 bucks#the next is gonna cost 12.40#then 14.88#then 17.86#then 21.43#then 25.71#that's the price of your seventh cup#even if you only drink one cup per day the price of your daily fix has more than coubled in just one week#and it's gonna keep increasing#your 8th cup is gonna cost 30.86$#that's a whole lot more than the 10$ you paid for your first cup isn't it?#and it's only gonna go up#each cup will be 20% more expensive than your last#9th cup: 37$#10th cup: 44.43$#that's a lot of money to pay for just one cup how could you be so irresonsible with your money?#but you need it because it helps you function#and not having it gives you withdrawal symptoms which suck#so is 50$ really that much to pay for being able to function that day?#11th cup: 53.31$#12th cup: 63.99$#13th cup: 76.78$#two weeks in and you're getting close to spending 100$ a day to just be able to function

Yesterday was my birthday and we went to an arcade a bookstore and a german restaurant to celebrate. It was very me-coded and also I set a bunch of high scores at the arcade. I was the #1 score on jambo safari, centipede, zoo keeper, gauntlet II, and some like 3D pacman knockoff wth a rolly ball controller and the protag was a bear but I don't remember the name of it. And I made it on the top ten of like 5 other games it was very satisfying.
#the also had a retro gaming console little nook which was super cool#but i suck at nes games i think lmao#but wife and i took turns playing donkey kong country on snes which was fun#also had a labyrinth pinball machine which was cool as hell#multiball mode it plays dance magic dance which was super fun#beat my wife's ass at pacman tournament and killer queen and retro raccoons (which is just like mario party lmao)#It's 12 bucks to get in and all the games are freeplay so hell of a deal and they have cherry coke so it's top notch#shame we don't live closer to it because a monthly pass is 20 bucks

i have Just noticed that the film i ruined and the two new films i bought have two different packages... one is fujicolor c200, the other is fujifilm 200. both expire in october next year, so it’s not like one simply has a newer design! i know they’re the exact same thing but still. huh

kind of agree w this post kind of don’t. after flash blew up a lot of these kids sites went to app form instead of browser. they still exist. they are just insanely exploitative of children and you have to pay at least 100 bucks a year to get any enjoyable experience from it. and i think actually the apps are worse about that now from what i’ve seen. and they’re also heavily censored for the conversations that most children are having. kids should also be able to talk about their grandma dying i think. they do in casual conversation at school. so idk they can get the same experience on tiktok for free by roleplaying with those jurassic park masks as long as the evil bitches on that app don’t find them.

Would it be an asshole move to remind my students to buy the (one) book they need for the course next semester now because we’ll use it Thursday of Week 1 (1/12), or to tell me if they can’t get it because of financial hardship, via email, say tomorrow or Wednesday.
