#1. headcanons supported by the canon. they are not canon but the potential for it is there and I’m running with it

tbh you can have a fanonised version so long as you remember and recognise that it is separate to the canon character. Like if you’re talking about a character and someone brings up a canonical trait/aspect/thing they did then you can’t then be like ‘no actually because the version of the character in my mind isn’t like that/would never do that’ because at that point you’re talking about a different character
the key to not fanonizing your faves is to simply become academia-brained about it. never make a statement about a character you can’t back up with at least three references to the source material
#the way I see it there’s 2 versions of the character#I love both and they’re technically the same person. but. they are separate#there is the canon version. it is what the actual show or book presents.#and there is the headcanon-ified version. this is the one where I change or add characteristics that I think enhance the character#there are 3 types of headcanons:#1. headcanons supported by the canon. they are not canon but the potential for it is there and I’m running with it#eg. a character who receives a head injury may have migraines even if the canon doesn’t show us this#2. headcanons that are neither supported or disproved by the canon. there is nothing in the source material that says anything about it.#eg. a character whose back story up until their appearance in canon is vague or not mentioned#has a lot of room for headcanon about their childhood or whatever which can work around the already known canon aspects#3. headcanons that go against the canon. as in they are clearly not and could never be part of the canon.#eg. changing a characters confirmed sexuality or ethnicity#what’s important isn’t whether or not you ‘fanonise’ the character#but whether you recognise and acknowledge the changes you made.#so if you’re posting a character analysis essay. then you need to stick to what’s confirmed in canon. and add theories from there.#because if you can’t differentiate between canon and fanon then you’re not gonna be accurate in your portrayal or analysis

Top ten SFTH character couples
(in my biased opinion)
Okay, first of all I’m so sorry to anyone who followed me for anything other than Shoot from the Hip content; I swear I’ll put in more variety. Someday. (Also go check out Shoot from the Hip.) Second of all, I did not join Tumblr with the intention of making a bunch of lists, but they’re fun to write and people seem to enjoy them, so here goes.
10. Justin x the Beetroots MC (headcanon)
Listen, I do NOT condone the whole “if they’re bullying you, that means they like you” bullshit. That being said, years and years later, after both of them have grown as people, I think they could have a really sweet relationship, at least after they work through everything.
9. André Beetroot x Xavier (canon, somehow)
I kind of ship this in a joking way, but also kind of not? They make sense together in a really weird, fucked-up way, and I’m so here for it. (I cannot believe that they’ve canonically hooked up. Multiple times. I love AJ so much for giving us this.)
8. Andrew x Nigel (headcanon)
It’s so toxic. It’s so toxic, and I know that, and it would never be okay in real life, but some dark part of me is really fascinated by the possibilities. (I cannot emphasise enough how much I am intrigued by this in FICTION ONLY.)
7. Jack and Jackie (canon)
Complete turnaround from the last two, but these two are genuinely so sweet. I honestly don’t even have much to say about them, but I love them. So much.
6. François x Mimi (canon)
They are so toxic. They’re horrible people, and they only make each other worse. And I love it. (You know, making this list did make me worry about my mental health slightly. Just slightly.)
5. Toby x the meth wife (canon)
First of all, this is the gayest straight-presenting relationship I’ve ever seen, and I love it. (I totally headcanon them both as bi/pan/queer/etc., but that’s not the point of this post.) And honestly, they’re so supportive of each other. They’re, like, genuinely a healthy couple (in a SFTH play? Can you imagine?). They have so much love for each other, and I could talk about them all day, but I’m fairly sure no one needs that, so I’ll stop.
4. Andrews x Betruva (headcanon)
Listen, I might be a little biased because they’re new, but they kind of have everything I look for in a ship. They have millennia of history, which is always a good start. They’re ancient nemeses. They founded a church named after them both???? Honestly how much more gay can you get?
3. Esmerelda x the vampire slayer (canon)
I like to imagine that Esmeralda survived, and they fall in love, and they have to work through the trauma of the slayer (I think I saw the fanon name Samantha? But I’m not sure) trying to kill Esmeralda. There’s just so much angst potential, and oh, now I want to write a fanfic.
2. Bubba x Jeramiah (canon)
They’re a fucking classic, okay, and they’re a classic for a reason. They are the best gay cowboys, and I love them so much. I know I should have more to say, but I feel like it would just be incoherent screaming.
1. Derek x Titch (canon)
Listen, who else could it be? They are so fundamentally amazing. It’s a classic case of “he fell first, he fell harder” (even if we don’t get to see a lot of the “he fell harder” part, I believe it with all my heart). I love Titch working though his issues and learning to open up, and I love Derek being so helplessly in love with him. I love them so much, and they deserve the top spot.
#again I realise that some of these are problematic ships#and I like them in FICTION and that’s it#I just want to make that very very clear#but yeah#I love making lists#so much#shoot from the hip#sfth

Dumping my thoughts on the new aftg short stories here to contain all the spoilers in one place, because if I don't get to talk about them I'm gonna explode. Someone very kindly made a typed-up version of them here if anyone wants them!
TFC: David
We all know Neil is "distressingly single-minded about Exy" but I'm dying at the revelation that people in Millport knew this about him. He was supposed to be lying low 😭
Kevinnnnnnnn my boy!!!
"This is better. Easier? Better." Ouch
I had a feeling he was seeing Betsy more often than twice a year! And that we just didn't know about it because Neil didn't. That's amazing for him
Wymack is being such a great dad right now and he doesn't even know it
So excited to have one (1) canonical sentence from Kayleigh Day herself
I was headcanoning Kevin as ten when he moved in with the Moriyamas. I know nine is only a year younger but somehow it's breaking my heart a little more
Awww I always thought he looked just like his mom
I hope he looks a little like Wymack too but no one noticed before
I wonder if he ended up telling Betsy who his dad is? I don't think so but I'm sure she'd have kept the secret. Even though it would've been so hard to keep a straight face about it
"Coaches have no honor. Your word is enough. Just yours." I wanna hit every Raven coach with a very heavy stick, starting with Tetsuji. But I love how Kevin's always trusted that Wymack was different. He can be a surprisingly hopeful person sometimes. He's a little like his dad in how he sees the potential in people no one else does
Am I crazy or is Wymack talking about Andrew here?? Because it reminds me of the part in the extra content where Andrew keeps breaking into Wymack's apartment to rant about Kevin, until one day it's Neil he's more interested in
I always thought that Andrew agreeing to protect Kevin so easily might mean he was kind of into him. If canon unrequited kandrew is gonna be a thing then Andrew and Jean should form a Victims of Kevin Day's Big Green Eyes Support Group
TRK: Betsy
I'm so upset right now I don't even have words
It's so interesting to see what Andrew is like alone with Betsy. And I love that Wymack makes him feel safe
He loves his brother!!
"They cannot keep him. I will not let them." I fully believe Andrew would be down to break Aaron out of prison if he got jail time
"One week Neil had been the subject of some very grandiose conspiracy theories, and the next Andrew had only said 'He's Kevin's problem now, the end!' and refused to elaborate." That's the most Andrew response he could've had 😭
And he was so right about Neil being suspicious as hell! I need everyone to look back on the beginning of the year and realize Andrew was right about him
"Everyone knows now, Bee." My heart just broke into a million pieces
"Neil flinched. He'd pushed because he needed to see that horrible smile crack. He needed to know if Andrew was screaming behind the euphoria his drugs fed his veins. But Andrew wasn't, and Neil couldn't live with that. Andrew's medicine was too strong or his psychosis too twisted; either way, tonight didn't mean anything to him. This was a setback Andrew could sidestep and ignore." That part of TRK really stuck with me. It's a good thing he didn't actually try to act completely unbothered by everything that night but it still hurts to hear about
"I know what happened to you today was beyond cruel and that Drake's death will not undo what he did to you. I know our system has failed you every step along the way and that a part of you will carry that distrust and betrayal for many years to come, if not for the rest of your life. And I know you have done astoundingly well despite life's every attempt to crush you. I'm sorry," she said, trying and failing to catch his eye, "and I'm so, so proud of you." She just said everything I'm feeling, perfectly
Chaos and mayhem, or Blockbuster. These books are so 2006. I miss Blockbuster
TKM: Aaron
This was the first one I read and it took me ages to get through because I was laughing so hard. Aaron calling andreil's matching arm bands a promise ring broke me
He's such an asshole. I love him. He might not like it but he's a Fox through and through
"Exy this, Exy that, get a fucking hobby already. Oh, but I guess he did?" He sent a pointed look at Andrew. He's the funniest character actually
I've always wondered if he was a little jealous of a certain mouthy liar who has everyone wrapped around his little finger. Hearing that Ichirou chose Neil over his own brother must've been a wild experience
I also wondered if he actually had a passion for medicine or if he just picked the most respectable career path he could think of. It's so good to hear that it's really something he loves. He's gonna get his dream job and fix things with his brother and marry the love of his life some day, and I'm so proud of him
Neurosurgeon Aaron and paediatrician Katelyn are properly canon now! It's nice to get all these details from the extra content as part of the actual books
A few months ago, Aaron never would have imagined Andrew needed his approval. Finding out how important he was to Andrew was an ongoing, eye-opening experience. Aaron finally realizing how much Andrew has done because of him might be my favourite thing
"His father's people tore up his arms with a lighter and knives, and none of it is going to fade. He doesn't need to see those." Andrew Minyard you fake idgafer. You care so much. So much.
I wonder what would've happened with andreil if Andrew was in less denial about their relationship? I don't think he'd date someone on purpose while the no-dating deal was still in effect
"Andrew didn't want to talk about Neil with Dobson because once he broached that subject he had to either lie to all of them or admit Neil was more important than he wanted him to be." I love that Aaron understands this about Andrew
I love that the only other Aaron POV story we have also ends with him being able to tell when Andrew is lying to himself. The twinyards have their misunderstandings but at the end of the day they get each other
#i feel like i just experienced the entire spectrum of human emotion#can't wait for tsc2 to do that to me again#aftg#aftg spoilers#my post

the fact that tokoyami could be considered one of the more important members of 1-A and we still got JACK SHIT about his backstory is so wild to me
like you have this whole idea of him cherishing the relationships he has so deeply to the point of an emotional breakdown whenever someone he cares about gets hurt and you DONT TELL US WHY???
like this boy is so incredibly hard on himself despite improving faster than the majority of his peers and WE DONT KNOW WHY???
my delusional ass was WAITING. for THREE YEARS. and we got nothing. the disappointment i felt was just immeasurable.
My god you are so right. It IS really disappointing. I honestly had no expectations for tokoyami backstory because I had always thought of him as a background character when I got into mha in 2017-2019. The story was still new then but when I returned last year there was so much more tokoyami had become. He plays an absolutely vital role but is treated as a supporting character. We knew him long before hawks but he was obviously pushed aside in favor of the winged hero. There is so much subtle writing about tokoyami especially him potentially having hurt or even killed people in the past. Dark Shadow is such an interesting quirk and character but they are never truly addressed for their insane power.
I would like to think tokoyami would have gotten his own character arc eventually if the ending hadn’t been so rushed for whatever reason. It would have probably been a very large undertaking and I can see how it wouldn’t have been able to fit into the tight schedule. He’s not even mentioned in the epilogue, only seen, despite clearly being one of the strongest characters and would at least be top 10.
I’m so sorry anon that your dreams were crushed. I hope my silly headcanons and stories bring you some closure, I do try to stay as close to canon as possible. Although I am aware my personal experiences and feelings certainly influence my ideas without me realizing. Perhaps you could drop in my dms at some point so we can share thoughts :)
#liking tokoyami is such a unique experience for me#because I have to behave like a detective and analyze every word he says#just to catch a glimpse of his life#while most characters have a canon backstory painting a scene tokoyami is like a puzzle I have to peicr together myself#the resulting image is different for everyone with so many interpretations and I think that’s quite lovely in its own way#he is so full of potential#and he always will be#bnha#boku no hero academia#mha#my hero academia#tokoyami fumikage#dark shadow#fumikage tokoyami#bnha rant#don’t get me wrong I still wish he had a canon backstory lol#bnha manga spoilers#mha manga spoilers#bnha spoilers

Hello! I recently watched The Winchesters and had a question, which I figured you could answer/discuss?
I'm aware that the show takes place in an Alt Universe, and that Spn's John never fell into the hunting life earlier, so he never knew Carlos personally. But still, it's still him — and he is not homophobic towards Carlos who is canonically bi. It can be argued that he just does not know, like he did not know about Carlos serving the Navy, but then what about Anton? We know Lata knows, of course. But has it been explicitly stated that Mary & John know too? And it's not like Carlos hides himself; he's open about his interests and that's amazing, but John is never portrayed as a Hater, no? Not in this sense in the show.
But we, as a fandom, have concluded that John is the reason for Dean's suppression of his own feelings — in general, and about being into men — but then... Carlos.
Did Dean assume his father would never approve? Because he never does of anything that has to do with feelings; it's always hunting and more hunting and revenge, of course. Is that what happened, rather than John actually being homophobic, he was a colossal failure of a parent who "just" pushed away his son(s) emotionally to a level where potential abuse and discouragement were more realistic than anything else? Does this also mean that when Dean does come out to John he would be supportive, at least, of this?
It's just been bugging me, is all.
Hoo boy. Throwing me an easy one before coffee, huh? :)
As a fun aside, there is a scene where a Carlos is mentioned in the mothership. It's not established to be the same Carlos in SPNwin, but the SPN episode was written by Robbie and he has acknowledged they are in his mind.
That doesn't get us to an answer, but it's nice to know that Dean and Sam possibly knew a version of Carlos.
Leading with the short answer to the actual question: what you have described regarding canon is a lot of assumptions and headcanons, which are fine and can absolutely be read as "John was just different in the different universes,' but I personally find that to be the boring answer. I think this fandom tends to write John as the evil bad dad, when a complex gray John is far meatier, so I'm often inclined to go deeper.
The answer I feel works better is the possibly unpopular opinion that we don't actually know John is homophobic at all and it's very possible Dean’s relationship with his father, while fraught with expectations in any number of ways, may not actually be driving his choice to live in the closet and/or his delayed realization of his sexual orientation. It's extremely possible John isn't homophobic at all. Dean may have read him that way or he may have felt pressure from external sources. These days my preferred reading tends to actually be something else entirely: that Dean knows he is queer and simply doesn't reveal it because he is of an era and a world where queerness is often not open and obvious to outsiders.
This is gonna be a long haul so I'm gonna pop in a courtesy cut and jump in. Don't worry. There WILL be headings and bullet points. Regret asking me yet? 😆
Is John homophobic?
Canon support
There isn't a ton of canon support for the homophobic John reading. That's not saying it isn't a valid reading. It's just that it's an interpretation and not fact. Here are the things I have seen or remember:
Martin and Tara - taking these together because they are a similar pattern. Both tell Dean his dad would be disappointed in him for running around with this male shaped monster (boyfriend). The textual reading is that John wouldn't want him running around with monsters. There is a subtexual reading that John wouldn't want him to have a boyfriend which is super valid. It just doesn't tell us much about John because 1. We know he was very black and white on monsters, 2. neither of these characters knows John that well. Tara got ghosted by him. It's possible this is a reflection of the larger hunter community (though possibly not even that). The point is it's canon evidence that can be taken either way.
Lee? A lot of people write that scene as John finding in them in a compromising position and I get it because Christian Kane and Jensen Ackles looked like they were about to sneak off to the bathroom, but the actual story is "You remember that time he caught us wasted on a Hunt? Hm? He was so mad, I-I thought he was gonna have an aneurysm." We know that John is really hard on Dean and Sam specifically because he chooses preparation for monsters over all (including their mental health) so this is absolutely consistent with his character regardless of any romance between them.
The nuns - this is not technically canon, but there is a story about John sending Dean on a solo hunt on his birthday to chase after queer nuns. First and foremost, I am noting this is sketchy from a canon/non-canon evidence perspective. It is something written and endorsed by SPN in the same way as the cartoon and the upcoming graphic novel. It's not fan fiction, but I would say it's not truly canon canon. But taking the evidence for what it is, it's interesting to note that in the journal John doesn't actually say anything homophobic. He describes the hunt as "Simple salt-and-burn mission. Nuns in love with each other, then discovered. Killed themselves." There's no commentary. No slurs. They were "in love." The real meat of the homophobia here is that he sent is queer son alone on his birthday to deal with them and it could be read as a message. That doesn't mean it's intended to be one.
That's all I can think of. It's not a lot and it's not definitive. It's perfectly valid to read it as support for homophobic John AND I think there may be some writer intent in the same way that monsters are often an allegory in the show and in media for queerness.
But it's also not a smoking gun. It's more of a unloaded gun with bullets next to it. So why do people think John is this super homophobic person?
Non-canon support and factors
There's a lot that goes into the interpretation of John that lies outside of the text.
His age and upbringing - He was raised in a time and place where acceptance of queer people wasn't exactly the default and then he went into the military which is also not exactly known for being particularly great for queer acceptance.
Classism - I say this gently to the fandom, but there is this idea that people who aren't in urban areas, and especially in poor rural areas must be homophobic. This comes up a lot in the Sam went to Stanford and is educated and therefore is a better ally headcanon. It's worth considering whether that is a factor here.
He raised his kids with military precision when he was around - there is no doubt that John was a hard man who treated his children like soldiers. A lot of people group gender and sexual orientation, especially when it comes to the gender aspects of masculinity where "be a man" and "be tougher" is frequently aimed at queer men. There's a lot of masculinity reinforcement for sure in the text and subtext of the show.
He's a bad dad and we're a bunch of traumatized queers with daddy issues. I know because I'm not only the owner, I'm a member.
I'm simplifying some of this, but there are a lot of factors that contribute to this reading and they are real and valid reasons. They just aren't textual and in some cases they are absolutely based in stereotypes. That's fine! Stereotypes aren't always incorrect. But they can be and it's worth wondering whether or not they are true.
There are plenty of people like John who are either not homophobic, or of the nature of it's fine if I don't see it variety of homophobia (which would actually be fairly logical to read into given the time and place of Dean's upbringing and the risk being openly queer presented especially for John who's priority is physical safety and preparation).
Personally, I find the lack of text to be fairly compelling, especially when we look at Dean's other behaviors, but that is my interpretation. I personally think John would have a problem with a monster boyfriend because of the monster bit, but doesn't give a fuck about the boyfriend bit except to the extent it may draw danger. I don't actually think John fits the rural strict father homophobic stereotype very well. He's not particularly religious. He doesn't seem to care what his kids do as long as they are safe and in the family business. He doesn't quiz Dean about where he was or who he was with.
I grew up in the South and have known a lot of homophobic parents in my day (including my own! See above). The pattern is often a parent who wants their kid to meet a certain social standard. Don't be gay because it will reflect bad on the family and you will go to hell. John shows negative interest in that arena.
He shows some of the don't be gay because it isn't manly aspects of that type of parent, but I also think a lot of people conflate masculinity with sexual orientation in this analysis. I say this specifically nodding to the Krikpe quote about umbrellas which in no way mentions being gay, but does mention being tough hunters not scared of demons. The text of that tweet and the story the fandom tells are two very distinct things.
It's very possible that those aspects of John's personality are part of why Dean performs tough het male so hard and that would be an aspect of what you are describing. I will also say however that Dean cries a lot. He's very open with his emotions and with caring for people. He's very good with people. Hes always been openly a caretaker. So he isn't performing masculinity so hard that those pieces of him are erased or hidden.
Why is Dean Like That if it isn't the daddy issues?
Let's look at this as if John wasn't openly and particularly notably homophobic. That is to say he had the casual homophobia of the 80s and 90s combined with a friend group of hypermasculine beer and bourbon drinking dudes with guns, but he wasn't, say, abusing Dean if he caught sight of potential gayness. Just to analyze the other question which is Dean's suppression of his feelings or denial of his queerness.
The fandom is not a monolith and I think there are lots of fans with lots of differing analysis in this arena, so I just want to again reiterate, this is all interpretation and headcanon! It's fine to fall anywhere in this spectrum.
Dean is Like That because he assumes he knows how his Dad would react
It's possible John talked about this idea that he has to get to an apple pie life long enough and made assumptions about the gender of his future partner, or that he was so neglectful or abusive, or that he made enough comments about being a "man" because he was worried about Dean being a victim, that Dean assumed his father would not support him. It's possible the canon events above where never intended to send a message to Dean that he still believed and read into them. That's not a criticism. We all interpret the things that happen to us. We are the ones who put meaning to an event, and that meaning may not match with the other person's intent. It doesn't make it invalid.
As you say, it may be a failure of parenting.
Dean is Like That because he grew up in the 80s and 90s
As someone who was born between Dean and Sam, I can say with the authority of experience that the 80s and 90s were a rough time to be queer. Like a really rough time. There were a lot of cultural things happening. Not to mention Dean had a rough upbringing.
HIV/AIDS - There are greater and more knowledgeable sources than me about this topic, but growing up during this time I can say that people were absolutely fucking awful about HIV/AIDS. We had school assemblies full of misinformation. Scores of people were dying and being told they deserved it. A lot of queer kids were internalizing the idea that queerness was a death sentence. I cannot actually come up with a good comparison in modern day. It was absolutely awful for the community, and the messages being delivered to kids was: "if you choose to be gay, you will die."
Casual homophobia - Remember when Misha used the f-word and people lost their fucking minds even though he was talking about lived experiences for most of us of a certain age? Yeah, that outrage was unimaginable to me as a kid. The idea that people would ever get to a point where the use of the word in a non-slur posture would even register. Slurs were thrown around all the time. People and things were "gay" and that was bad. Dean spent time being thrown from school to school and it would have been a massively important for him to come in performing cool masculine untouchable guy who enjoys women.
Dean lives in a transient space - He's constantly alone and in charge in places where someone might take advantage of him or Sammy. Being noticed and assumed weak is dangerous.
Counterpoint: Dean's upbringing may support more comfort rather than less with queerness, but it encouraged secrecy
To fully contradict myself, Dean was in transient spaces. That means he would have been interacting with more queer people than the average suburban or rural teen. He's in truck stops and no-tell motels. That boy met queer people. But he met people who were living in the shadows. This isn't unusual for that era. Queerness to dean was cruising and truck stops and one night stands in seedy motels. Something to be done but not to be seen.
Dean's reaction to queer people in canon supports this reading. He's never disgusted, but he's often surprised specifically about open and public displays of queerness. He tends to react to openly queer people with surprise and longing, but specifically most of his oh right there are queer people faces are reactions to open displays of queerness.
Even HIV/AIDS may have hit different in the hunting community. Dean didn't expect to live to an old age. I say this mainly because the lack of blood squick.
Consider a reading that he knows
We have so many lovely coded moments of queer Dean. The bathroom he disappears into. The way he gets clocked and doesn't deny it at times. Any denials he makes can be read to be situations where he doesn't know what the other person will react like.
I think it's very possible he isn't repressed at all! He just uses the closet as a shield or he doesn't share that information with people unless he wants to/trusts them/feels it's relevant to them.
PS DM me if you want to chat more and also I may have a discord of interest.

hello its the anon from earlier!! i am So Glad you asked about my aro kevin headcanon ive been wanting to talk about him forever. i just think it fits so well with his character. we all know that the way neil was written came across very aspec, and hes canonically demisexual, and as soon as i found this out my brain just started pointing out all the similarities between them. so heres my list of Reasons I Think Kevin Day Is Aromantic:
1. his obsession with exy. it acts as a sort of stand in for an actual romantic relationship for him, despite canonically having a gf, similar to how neil often passed over conversations about sex in favour of exy.
2. he canonically started dating said gf because he respected her due to her exy prowess, and he has never said/done anything that leads me to believe he genuinely feels romantic feelings for her, so to me it came across like a classic aro situation of "oh this person is nice to me and i like and respect them as a person, i must want to date them!"
3. he grew up in the nest, which is a cesspool of toxic relationships and things he has to unlearn, and because of this upbringing, he could easily write off any aromantic feelings as residual damage from growing up in that environment
4. most of his popular ships (kandrew, kevneil, kandriel, etc) a. have exy in the middle of them and b. ALWAYS seemed way more powerful as platonic to me (i could definitely fuck with a kandriel qpr situation actually)
5. additionally, when i was reading the books, none of his interactions came across as romantic in nature at all, and im the kind of person who can see a ship in anything, but he just always seemed to have other things (cough exy cough cough) at the forefront of his mind
6. delicious angst potential with him thinking hes just inherently incapable of love because of the abuse he endured and thinking he's too far gone and hes damaged in that way forever but then finding out about aromanticism and etc etc you get it
6. i am aromantic and i like kevin day and im projecting
while often aro goes along with ace, especially in fandom headcanons, NO ONE can deny that Kevin Day Fucks. and thus, aroallo kevin day was born in my mind and for years its been my most set in stone, steadfast headcanon throughout any of the fandoms im in. and then i saw some kevallison stuff and i was like, while aro kevin day is my number one, i cannot deny that they would be an incredibly hot couple like jesus christ. and THEN i saw your fwb besties who fuck kevallison agenda and i was like. oh my. this fits perfectly with my aroallo kevin headcanon. this is it. and then i immediately absorbed fwb kevallison into my brain and merged it with my aroallo kevin headcanon and thus, my most favourite headcanon was born.
this came out way longer than i was expecting im so sorry but this has been marinating for a while.
holy shit anon
you've turned me into aroallo kevin supported because this. this is PERFECT.
like kevin FUCKS. we all know this. but being in a relationship?
like i was thinking about kevallison recently and how the most likely way it ends is that allison realises sometime coming up to the end of their final year together that she actually is starting to crush on him a little bit. and that was in their rules - if one of us catches feelings, we're done, we stop fucking, because this is NOT a feelings thing. like allison probably thinks at some point she must be a terrible person to be in a relationship with because HOW have her and kevin been fucking for X years/months and he STILL hasn't caught feelings for her???? 1) he's just a man and 2) he just. doesn't catch feelings.
yeah anon i fuck with this

Why I ship Gaston and Snow White?
Okay, before we get into this, I will state that I am aware of Snow White's canon age, so I have her aged up to 18 in my headcanon.
When I was imagining Gaston and Snow White in a romantic relationship, I found them to be quite an interesting couple, and I became attracted to their chemistry and emotional connection. Plus, my friend @rapunzelcrossoverqueen joked that Snow White took one look at Gaston and said, "I can fix him~" ✨
To which I totally agree because the “I can fix him” trope, also known as “I can change my beloved,” involves a character believing they can transform their romantic partner’s flaws or negative behaviors through the power of their love and support. This trope often appears in stories where one partner is seen as troubled, flawed, or even dangerous, and the other partner is convinced that they can help them become a better person. And I am here for it! I love the idea of Gaston changing for the better and becoming an absolute simp for this tiny, soft-spoken woman!
Snow White would have the patience and the will to put up with Gaston's behavior, which is very similar to how Belle put up with Beast's, but interestingly, Gaston might respond differently to Snow White compared to Belle. Given Snow White’s gentle and soft-spoken nature, Gaston might initially find her more agreeable and easier to impress with his bravado and charm.
He might enjoy the admiration and lack of resistance to his behavior, which contrasts with Belle’s independence and outspokenness. However, over time, Snow White’s gentle nature might slowly influence Gaston, encouraging him to soften his rough edges and reconsider his actions. This could create a unique redemption arc where Gaston learns to appreciate qualities like kindness and humility. Snow White’s kindness and patience might also highlight Gaston’s flaws more starkly, potentially leading to moments of self-reflection or conflict.
Snow White is no pushover, and she has experience putting up with "vain people." If she can soften the "grumpiest" of the dwarves, then she can surely soften the pure paragon~
As you can see below, I'm a sucker for height differences, so in my headcanon, Gaston is 6'3" and Snow White is 5'1".
Anyway, here are a few things that I wrote about how Snow White and Gaston could complement each other.
1. Strength and Gentleness: Gaston is known for his physical strength and bravado, while Snow White embodies gentleness and kindness. Gaston's protective nature could make Snow White feel safe, while her gentle demeanor might soften Gaston's rough edges.
2. Confidence and Humility: Gaston's confidence and assertiveness could help Snow White become more assertive and stand up for herself. Conversely, Snow White's humility and grace could teach Gaston the value of modesty and compassion.
3. Adventure and Nurturing: Gaston's love for adventure and hunting could introduce Snow White to new experiences and excitement. Meanwhile, Snow White's nurturing and caring nature could provide Gaston with a sense of home and belonging that he might not have experienced before.
4. Complementary Skills: Gaston's practical skills in hunting and survival could be useful in protecting and providing for Snow White. On the other hand, Snow White's domestic skills and ability to create a warm, loving environment could balance Gaston's more rugged lifestyle.
5. Growth and Redemption: Snow White's pure heart and forgiving nature could inspire Gaston to become a better person, seeking redemption for his past actions. Gaston's determination and drive could help Snow White achieve her dreams and protect her from harm.
While they might seem like an unconventional pairing, their differences could create a dynamic and balanced relationship where both can grow and learn from each other.
Emotional Dynamics
Gaston’s Charisma and Snow White’s Charm: Gaston’s larger-than-life personality and charisma could be balanced by Snow White’s gentle charm and kindness. Together, they could create a dynamic where Gaston’s boldness is softened by Snow White’s warmth, making them a captivating couple.
Snow White’s Empathy and Gaston’s Passion: Snow White’s empathetic nature could help her understand and soothe Gaston’s fiery passion. Her ability to see the good in people might help Gaston channel his energy into more positive pursuits.
Social Interactions
Gaston’s Leadership and Snow White’s Diplomacy: Gaston’s natural leadership skills could be complemented by Snow White’s diplomatic approach. While Gaston takes charge in challenging situations, Snow White could mediate and ensure harmony within their social circle.
Balancing Public and Private Life: Gaston enjoys being the center of attention, while Snow White is more comfortable in intimate, nurturing settings. This balance could help them maintain a healthy social life while also cherishing private moments together.
Personal Growth
Gaston’s Ambition and Snow White’s Contentment: Gaston’s ambitious nature could inspire Snow White to pursue her own dreams and aspirations. Meanwhile, Snow White’s contentment with simple joys could teach Gaston to appreciate the smaller, meaningful moments in life.
Learning from Each Other: Snow White’s patience and understanding could help Gaston become more introspective and considerate. In turn, Gaston’s determination and courage could encourage Snow White to be more adventurous and confident.
Practical Aspects
Complementary Skills in Daily Life: Gaston’s physical prowess and survival skills could be invaluable in protecting and providing for Snow White. On the other hand, Snow White’s domestic skills and ability to create a loving home environment could offer Gaston a sense of stability and comfort.
Shared Responsibilities: They could share responsibilities in a way that plays to their strengths. Gaston could handle outdoor tasks and challenges, while Snow White could manage the home and ensure a nurturing atmosphere.
Mutual Respect and Growth
Respecting Differences: Their relationship could thrive on mutual respect for each other’s differences. Gaston could learn to value Snow White’s gentle strength, while Snow White could appreciate Gaston’s boldness and protectiveness.
Encouraging Positive Change: Snow White’s influence could encourage Gaston to become more compassionate and self-aware. Gaston’s support could help Snow White become more assertive and confident in her decisions.
Disney Mirrorverse:
Oh, yeah, it's time to talk about Disney Mirrorverse Gaston and Snow White because I'm freaking obsessed with Disney Mirrorverse, and it's the reason why I started shipping them in the first place.
In the Disney Mirrorverse, Gaston and Snow White have unique characteristics and abilities that could add interesting dynamics to their relationship:
Disney Mirrorverse Gaston
Disney Mirrorverse Gaston is reimagined as a Merciless Beast Hunter. This version of Gaston retains his vanity and bravado, but his skills and physical prowess are significantly enhanced. I've collected some notes on key aspects of his character~
Role and Abilities: Gaston is a Ranged character, known for his expert marksmanship and tracking abilities. His attacks become more vicious as his target's health decreases, making him a formidable opponent from a distance.
Personality: True to his original character, Gaston is vain and loves nothing more than admiring his own reflection. However, in the Mirrorverse, his second love is beast-hunting, and he is relentless in his pursuit of grand trophies.
Appearance and Equipment: Gaston wields a wicked crossbow fashioned from bones collected from his hunts. His broad shoulders and single-minded determination make him a fearsome presence in the savage and dangerous wilderness of the Mirrorverse.
This version of Gaston adds a darker, more intense twist to the character we know from Beauty and the Beast.
Disney Mirrorverse Snow White
Disney Mirrorverse Snow White is reimagined as a Stalwart Friend of the Forest. Here are some key aspects of her character that I've collected:
Role and Abilities: Snow White is a Melee Guardian with Leader and Royalty traits. She wields the Thornhammer, a powerful pickaxe made of metal and living wood, which can break through even the thickest armor. Her abilities allow her to call on the forest and its inhabitants for aid, making her a versatile and resilient fighter.
Personality: Snow White remains curious and resourceful, embodying resilience and inspiring optimism. She is dedicated to protecting the forest and its creatures, using her enhanced abilities to root out evil.
Appearance and Equipment: Snow White is protected by living rosewood armor inlaid with mined gems. The thorns and brambles of the forest wrap around her, ensuring that any attack against her comes at a price. Her connection to the forest allows her to adapt to any battle, making her immune to poisons and able to snare enemies in spiderwebs.
This version of Snow White adds a powerful and protective twist to the classic character, making her a formidable force in the Mirrorverse.
Complementary Dynamics
Strength and Strategy: Gaston’s long-range marksmanship and Snow White’s close-range melee prowess create a formidable team. Gaston can handle enemies from a distance with his expert crossbow skills, while Snow White engages in close combat, using her Thornhammer to root enemies and provide buffs through her connection to the forest.
Leadership and Support: Snow White’s leadership qualities guide Gaston’s raw power in a more focused and effective manner. Her resilience and optimism can help channel Gaston’s relentless pursuit into strategic victories. Meanwhile, Gaston’s protective nature ensures Snow White remains safe as she executes her strategies, calling on the forest for aid.
Balancing Aggression and Compassion: Gaston’s aggressive combat style is balanced by Snow White’s compassionate approach to protecting the forest and its creatures. This dynamic allows them to learn from each other, appreciating different methods of achieving their goals. Gaston’s ferocity complements Snow White’s nurturing tactics, creating a balanced and effective partnership.
Potential Storyline
In a Mirrorverse storyline, Gaston and Snow White might find themselves working together to protect their realm from a common threat. Gaston’s initial advances might be met with resistance from Snow White, who is focused on their mission. However, as they spend more time together, Gaston could start to admire Snow White’s strength and determination, while Snow White might see the potential for good in Gaston beyond his bravado.
Their journey could involve Gaston learning to temper his aggression with Snow White’s guidance, while Snow White becomes more assertive and confident with Gaston’s support. This partnership could lead to mutual growth and a deeper understanding of each other’s strengths and weaknesses.
Ties to Nature:
Yes, both Disney Mirrorverse Gaston and Snow White have strong ties to nature and forests, but in different ways:
Gaston and The Wilds
Master Hunter: Gaston is depicted as a master hunter who prowls the savage and dangerous forests of the Mirrorverse. His skills as a tracker and marksman are unparalleled, and he thrives in the wilderness, hunting beasts to prove his prowess.
Savage Wilderness: The Mirrorverse version of Gaston is deeply connected to the wild, using his enhanced senses and physical strength to navigate and dominate the forest environment.
Snow White and The Forest
Friend of the Forest: Snow White is portrayed as a stalwart protector of the forest. She has a deep connection with the forest and its creatures, using her abilities to call on them for aid in battle.
Forest Magic: Snow White’s powers are amplified by the forest’s magic, allowing her to summon thorns, snare enemies, and adapt to various battle conditions. Her armor and weapon, the Thornhammer, are also tied to the forest, made from living wood and enchanted with nature’s magic.
Complementary Nature Ties
Gaston’s Dominance and Snow White’s Harmony: Gaston’s relationship with the forest is one of dominance and control, as he hunts and tracks his prey. In contrast, Snow White’s connection is harmonious and nurturing, as she protects and collaborates with the forest and its inhabitants.
Balancing Forces: Together, their differing approaches to nature could create a balanced dynamic. Gaston’s strength and survival skills could complement Snow White’s nurturing and protective abilities, making them a formidable team in the Mirrorverse.
Their shared ties to nature and the forest environment could lead to interesting interactions and a deeper understanding of each other’s strengths and perspectives. This also led me to call their Disney Mirrorverse ship name, Nurturing Wilderness~
Closing argument/Final Notes:
If anyone remembers my Hades x Snow White posts saying that their relationship dynamic is like Fluttershy x Discord (Fluttercord), well, going off of King Sombra's personality from The Beginning of the End - Part 1 and Part 2, where King Sombra is depicted as being pompous, self-centered, and arrogant (like Gaston), I base Gaston and Snow White's relationship on Sombra x Fluttershy (Sombrashy). I also based them on Katrina Van Tassel and Brom Bones from The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. What can I say? I love sweet and shy characters with big meanies.
PS:
I also wrote a fic for them in case anyone is interested 😳👉👈

GUS GUS GUS GUS MY BOY GUSSSSSSSS
How I feel about this character
Gus is so fucking cool, man. I love him!! I especially like his characterization in season 1 as a really cutesy silly geeky little fellow with a surprisingly morbid streak. Like season 1 Gus is probably the funniest character in the show to me. They definitely toned down his chaos a bit in later seasons, but his transition into something more than a supporting comic relief character was also good stuff to chew on.
I find Gus, as he's written in the show itself, to be a character who lacks a solid foundation. Even though I personally enjoy him a lot, it often felt like the crew was struggling to find his emotional core. What makes Gus tick yknow. At least that's the vibe I got from Gus centric episodes where they give him a new complex every time. They knew he was insecure deep down but it was like they couldn't decide on the reason WHY. First they tried "being younger than everyone is hard", then it was "my area of magical expertise isn't taken seriously" and then finally "I'm way too trusting."
I'm not saying he can't be a complex character with MULTIPLE insecurities. I just feel like the writing in this regard is kinda weak in terms of consistency. It really did feel like they just kept introducing new Gus angst every time and forgetting about the Gus angst they had already established. I would have liked to see it all weave together instead, yknow?
Overall Gus is fantastic. I love Gus. When it comes to how the character was ultilized, they might have flopped a bit. But yknow. Gus has potential to be SO interesting. All the ingredients are there. So he's a lot of fun to play with. So much to build and expand on. He is the brightest most neon shade of blue putty.
All the people I ship romantically with this character
Rumpelstilskin or whatever that gay little freak is called
My non-romantic OTP for this character
They make me giggle
My unpopular opinion about this character
I kinda like aroace Gus. Idk if that's an unpopular opinion tho. But I don't really have a solid headcanon for his orientation, so sometimes I see him as bi and kissing that one guy. And sometimes he is aroace.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
MAN!!! I've made multiple posts about stuff that I wish they did with Gus in canon. I'll try to briefly repeat a few of them
- I wish Gus and Eda were familiar with each other before Luz came into the picture. Like the Owl Lady who sells human junk and the little witch boy who's obsessed with human junk.
- I wish Gus' fixation on the human realm was used as a parallel for Luz' fixation on the fantasy genre. I wish it was used as the thing that helped them to understand each other. Two kids who feel like a bit of an outsider in their own world and use their obsession with another realm as a form of escapism.
- I wish Gus had an arc involving Grometheus.
- I wish Gus had played a role in the finale. Specifically I wish his problem with trusting too easily had been brought up again and tied into the situation with Belos, who sits on a thrown of lies. Would have been fun. But what do I know

Mini analysis of Amity from an autistic perspective
Amity is a character in the Owl House that I was fairly neutral towards when first watching the show. I quite enjoyed scenes whenever she showed up, but that was mainly because I got to see her dynamic with Luz, who is my favorite character. Being neurodivergent myself (autistic and potentially/undiagnosed ADHD) I suppose I had some tiny worries that Luz dating a supposed neurotypical person could be conflicting in a real-world setting. But, that of course begs the question:
Couldn’t Amity be neurodivergent too?
And to that, I’ll simply say yes, I believe she is. The most popular headcanon on this seems to be her being on the autism spectrum, which I personally headcanon. Autistic Amity as a headcanon sees some backlash, but I mainly attribute that to people preferring to stick to strict canon information. Admittedly, when first hearing of the headcanon myself, I didn’t fully agree with it either, but it’s definitely grown on me a lot.
Amity stands out as an autistic rep for me because of her less appealing traits, from a traditional sense. The cultural perspective on autistic people has seen a sudden shift to this near fetishization of “quirkiness,” where traits like stimming and hyperfixations have been uncomfortably romanticized to some degree. I think a good example of this sort of “quirky autistic” archetype is Marcy Wu from Amphibia; she’s a classic adorkable character who wears her eccentricities proudly, almost seeming too good to be true (which obviously Amphibia leverages later to show us Marcy’s… True Colors.) I by no means think Marcy is a bad character, she’s easily my favorite character from Amphibia and I prefer her to Amity as an autistic rep. Nonetheless, I do appreciate what Amity represents as an autistic character a lot in how she differs from someone like Marcy presentation-wise.
Amity starts off as a bold, arrogant top-student with a rigid academic lifestyle. She’s not great at recognizing other’s emotions or communicating her own. She pushes past all of her inner worries to maintain her classic Little Miss Perfect persona for a time. These are not desirable/romanticizable character traits, but they’re among common autistic symptoms. Given her collected, “conforming” attitude most of the time, most viewers, myself included, wouldn’t suspect Amity is autistic on a first watch. In short, early season 1 Amity represents a masking autistic individual. We see Amity slowly deconstruct the toxic lifestyle her family has forced upon her, and make new connections and start to rebuild a broken one (with Willow.) In her own words from Escaping Expulsion, she’s becoming the person she really wants to be.
The same sentiment is also why trans Amity works so well as a headcanon, but maybe I’ll talk about that another time
Amity’s journey throughout the show is about unmasking her own autistic traits through the support of people like Luz. We get to see her become more sensitive (and I use this word as a compliment,) throughout the course of the show to her own benefit and as a boon to those she cares about. The Owl House is a show about celebrating nonconformity, and I’m glad they allow Amity to push away from her restrictive way of living to become her true self, an autistic girl who trips after getting scared in a library.
A common criticism of Amity’s character is that the Lumity dynamic linearizes her character down to the role of “Luz’s girlfriend” and 180s her entire identity. I do believe the show depicts Amity’s development away from her season 1 self more gradually than some fans give her credit for. The power dynamic between her and Willow has an uncomfortable imbalance to it still, and she’ll occasionally make regretful remarks like “I was top student once,” she’s still changing, at times not the most elegantly, and didn’t spontaneously decide to become a new person for the heck of it. On the topic of her focus on Luz, as someone on the spectrum itself, I do think it’s perfectly reasonable. I’m guilty myself of hyperfixating on romantic interests in the past to the point where they’ll become the entire focus of months of my life, I can’t say I blame Amity for having so much attention on Luz. The show does an amazing job at making their relationship healthy and not surplussing angst for easy story conflict (call me boring but I’m a big fan of unproblematic relationships who actually work through things.) Case in point, I think Amity’s common writing concerns work to her benefit from an autistic perspective, it’s allowed me to enjoy her character a lot more, at least.
One last point before I wrap up, I wanted to bring up one of my favorite lines from Amity and how it gives me major autistic vibes, being from Eclipse Lake:
You know, you were right. We do have a lot in common. I grew up thinking everything was an opportunity to justify… existing! But there are people out there who won't make you feel worthless. You just have to let yourself meet them.
I’m mainly interested in one specific word here: existing. The emphasis on “existing” is important given the general profoundness of the rest of her statement. Amity wanted this message to be super inspirational and meaningful to Hunter, but she gets flustered in the middle of it, she’s worried about Luz after all, and gives a superficial choppy ending to one of her sentences. No “opportunity to justify my parents loving me/being content with who I am etc…” just one word, existing. I appreciate this line because a lot of autistic people, myself included, have incredibly vivid, articulately-crafted dialogues within their heads, and when it comes time to actually say things out loud, it sounds a lot less eloquent to our own dismay. This line for me highlights why I enjoy Amity as an autistic character so much, being flawed in a realistic, relatable way that isn’t traditionally appealing, and that’s ok.
This is the first time I’ve done a Tumblr analysis like this before, let me know what you’ve thought of it, or share it around if it was of interest to you. I have a lot to say about other Owl House characters (and also Marcy,) so I may make extra analyses in the future

Sometimes i think about how some fans can't separate what was floated vs actual canon cause like queer buck was floated end of season 4 which was taken as buddie canon s4 which very well may have been on the cards but ultimately it didn't happen. That doesn't actually mean byddie is still going canon like it may have almost happened potentially but that doesn't mean nothing now if they have decided to go another direction
Yep, idgaf what people talk about with their friends as far as headcanons are concerned, but when those same people get angry at others for providing FACTS (what happens on screen, what's said in interviews, especially by actors they claim to love and support)? That's when hyperfixation turns unhealthy. That's when many of us realize we need to speak up. Finding comfort in 9-1-1 or a character is perfectly valid, but it's not supposed to make you forget what really matters in life. None of this matters. Buck and Eddie are not real. They will never be together IRL. Someone shipping it, or choosing not to, means NOTHING when they will not be on our screens forever. When 9-1-1 ends, people will move onto another show, another ship. When it comes to "canon Buddie was floated as an option", I think it just goes back to the monoshipper mentality (not an insult because I definitely have my characters from past shows who I could only see with one person - JAPRIL my beloveds <3) of "Well, if Bi Buck almost happened then Buddie was definitely happening because I just can't see those two with anybody else." Which...fair. That's what monoshipping is. But (and this will probably get me 'in trouble' because it'll be taken as a dig at their fave) if we've got Ryan and Oliver saying they need to see realistic development between their characters AFTER SIX YEARS to justify a canon romance (particularly when Ryan is in the mindset of Eddie still being hetero, we didn't put those words in his mouth, sorry to disappoint)...what makes anybody think they would have both jumped at the chance to play Buddie as a canon couple in SEASON FOUR? Or even early season five? You know, when they both had girlfriends???
Spreading the misinformation that Buddie was shut down implies that Buddie was run by the actors as a legit option first. There's no evidence of that and I *guarantee* it never happened when Bi Buck getting the boot automatically stopped Eddie from going down the same path. Ryan playing the break up the way he did in 5x03? Definitely can be read as queer. I know I did. But Eddie was still showing off his repressive personality by refusing to admit that their relationship wasn't going anywhere out of guilt for what he thought a break up would do to his son.

I was scrolling through AO3 for Damian-centered fics. Mainly angst. And as usual, I came across a few Fear Gas fics which made me think.
I don't remember Damian ever getting into contact with Fear Gas in canon (If he did, please correct me). So most fic writers, when they need to use a scenario for Damian to be scared of, use his past in the LoA. Mainly his mother. Which is a good conclusion in my opinion, but I wanted to know more about this topic.
About what could be Damian's worst nightmare.
I have come to 3 general conclusions.
My research brought me to 3 comics: Deathstroke (2016), Teen Titans (2016), Batman And Robin (2011).
1) Starting with Deathstroke, I'll give you a little context here. Damian is working with Slade for the moment and they come across a villainess named Nightshade.
Nightshade has the ability to teleport herself or others, by passing through a place called Land of Nightshade. But this place subjects people to their worst nightmares. And she uses this power on Damian:
As you can see, when subjected to his worst nightmare, Damian sees Slade. He tells him that his worst fear, is the idea that him being Slade's son. Which is directly proportional to his reason for working alongside Slade.
I already made a post about this, but a little context here: Talia fakes a paternity test that states that Slade is Damian's actual father. Of course no one believes that, but Damian still goes with Slade for his own personal reasons.
Coming back to my point, it does make sense that, in that current mental state of his, he hates the idea of Slade being his father. Which could potentially affect his fears, and make it up to be the biggest.
But this could be a one time thing, and Damian's worst fear could still be something else.
Now for Teen Titans:
As you can see, Damian has a nightmare about Slade and ends up punching the mirror and hurting himself.
I wanted to put this up to, in a way, support the idea that Damian's worst fear is Slade. And it can be true because Slade did tried to kill him multiple times, kidnapped him, told him to his face that children like him should never get to grow up.
So among his 3 biggest fears that I've headcanoned, the first one is Slade.
2) Now coming to his second potential biggest fear/nightmare: His death.
This is pretty obvious I guess. His own mother killing him was pretty traumatic and caused him to have canonically horrible nightmares after his resurrection:
But when we examine this nightmare more, we can see that it's specifically showing us Talia and Ra's trying to resurrect Damian via the Lazarus Pit.
The most interesting part about this is that, this happened.
What I mean is, after Damian died and was buried, Talia stole Damian's body to resurrect him via the pit with the help of Ra's. But I don't remember ever seeing Bruce mention that to Damian.
So how did his mind came up with this kind of nightmare?
First option is that, he does not know that Talia had tried to resurrect him and his mind is playing tricks on him. This doesn't sound very likely to me, because the nightmare is just too specific.
Second option is that, when he was in Hell he somehow saw or felt what was happening to him and this particular event caused him severe trauma.
Personally, I prefer the second option.
3) Coming to his last potentially biggest fear is losing his loved ones, which is also from Batman and Robin. In this issue he gets a horrible nightmare, in which his entire family is stuck inside an aquarium and dying.
A little context on why did Damian suddenly had this type of nightmare: Prior to this, Joker kidnaps and tortures the entire batfamily. And by torture I mean torture.
He kills Jason's potential love interest. Makes Barbara marry him. Digs out Tim and Jason's dads' corpse out and mocks them. Dumps tons of insects onto Damian. Makes a joker gassed Batman attack Damian and so on...
After this whole ordeal everyone is left shaking and with nightmares of course.
But focusing on Damian, something also piqued my interest. It's the fact that even though all of his family members are in that tank, he only calls out for Alfred. So maybe this fear can be shrinked to Damian fearing the death of Alfred.
Which is highly possible, as Alfred was the person Damian was closest to. Even more so than Bruce. And same goes for Alfred I guess, because Bruce himself told Alfred, that Damian was like a son to Alfred.
So to conclude his 3 potential biggest fears:
1) Slade
2) His death/Getting resurrected via the pit.
3) Losing his love ones/Specifically losing Alfred.
Of course, this is all my own headcanons and intrepretations. So please tell me about your opinion on this.
What do you think is Damian's biggest fear?

thank you very much for the ask, anon! it turned out that questions 1 and 2 sent me a bit feral, so they're queued up in a separate post... allowing this one to focus on the unhinged and deranged potential of ronius.
which - i'll be honest - is not quite as unhinged and deranged as one might think...
although my answer about it as a pure crackship would be influenced by a headcanon i remain committed to purely for my own amusement that harry is the only person who believes sirius to be unfathomably good-looking pre-azkaban [the girl in the defence against the dark arts exam was actually checking out lily! harry saw what he wanted to see!] and still retaining vestiges of these magnificent looks after it.
i like the idea of ron - canonically a real hottie himself - not being entirely sure what all the fuss is about, not least because sirius hasn't seen a dentist in fifteen years. harry's sighing every night about how lucky ron is while everyone else pats sirius on the back for bagging himself a tall and sporty legend with great hair, a chill personality, and a fourteen-inch wand.
but my more serious response to this ship would be that it joins the pile - with snon and ronmort - which are made plausible by the fact that ron is, at heart, someone who cares.
in goblet of fire, harry, ron, and hermione all have broadly similar views of sirius - that he's a clever, sensible adult who can be trusted to help them with the mystery they find themselves in. ron is reassured that harry tells sirius about his scar hurting, for example, because he thinks it's a given that sirius will know what to do about it - and he believes that any information sirius gives harry throughout this book is completely above reproach.
ron also clearly thinks that sirius is cool - him trying to get sirius to agree with him that hermione's passion for house elf rights is ridiculous very much has the vibe of him wanting sirius to acknowledge him as a sophisticated man-of-the-world; which him being pissed-off when sirius suggests the trio are too young to understand what things were like in the first war also illustrates.
[which i think sirius respects him for - he obviously admires a bit of bolshiness, and he also obviously adores the loyalty ron and hermione have for harry.]
and so i think that you can absolutely imagine ron developing a little crush on sirius - to go with his broader bisexual awakening over viktor krum - during his fourth year.
more interestingly, though, is that the trio's view of sirius diverges in order of the phoenix.
in harry's case, there is a reversal of the reasonably uncomplicated parent-child dynamic of goblet of fire, as sirius' depression - as well as the regression he feels from being stuck in his childhood home - robs him of the capacity to provide harry with the paternal emotional support he needs. instead, harry ends up being the one taking the adult role in their relationship - viewing it as his responsibility to be the sensible one in order to keep sirius safe.
hermione notices this role-reversal, but her view is broadly that sirius would be able to restrain his emotional instability if he simply tried hard enough. she's the one of the three who thinks that sirius' grimmauld-place-induced regression is accompanied by a desire to relive his glory days with harry standing in for james - and while both she and harry find sirius' more reckless behaviour [such as his suggestion that he might come to hogsmeade to see them] frightening, hermione evidently regards it as reckless arrogance, while harry sees it as reckless desperation.
ron - on the other hand - approaches order-era sirius not from the adult position in an adult-child dynamic, but as a peer.
he's the member of the trio who best understands the impact feeling useless to the war effort, lonely, and trapped has on sirius, without adding the qualification that he should be an adult and deal with it [which has the negative result that he's easily convinced that harry's vision of sirius in the department of mysteries is real, because he thinks it's completely plausible that sirius would have left the house and been captured].
he has no time for the idea that sirius views harry as indistinguishable from james, or that sirius is deliberately or childishly reckless. he's the only one of the three to give sirius the credit of listening to dumbledore and working to keep himself and harry safe - even if he doesn't like what he has to endure in order to do this. he treats sirius as someone who deserves to not be condescended to and to be acknowledged as having authority in his own house - for example, when he tells hermione that she needs to respect sirius' justification for why kreacher can't be manumitted when he thinks she intends to give him clothes for christmas [that hermione is completely right that slaves should be freed is by-the-by here].
he also understands harry's grief over sirius' death - and what sirius meant to harry - far more instinctively than hermione. but he's also the only one of the trio who really gets how sirius was understood by the order more widely - for example, he's the only one of the three who correctly points out that tonks didn't actually know sirius well enough for the intensity of grief harry and hermione are ascribing to her to be plausible. while harry - completely understandably - sees sirius as so important in his own life that he can't help but imagine him as the central figure in the life of everyone he encounters [which is unrelatedly interesting in that it's how each of the three marauders saw james], ron has a more pragmatic, big-picture view of him as a man. a good man - absolutely - and a fun and clever and admirable one, but still a man like any other.
ron understanding sirius - but not idolising him - creates a pretty strong potential for a relationship between them in a world in which sirius survives into the trio's adulthoods. this is especially the case when this understanding is combined with the fact that ron is shown - throughout the series - to be very good at providing comfort.
sirius survives azkaban and his time on the run through sheer, desperate resilience - but, as his collapse when he's back at grimmauld place shows, this resilience can't keep his demons at bay when he's not just fighting, at the most basic level, to stay alive.
if he survives the war, then he - like his narrative mirror, snape - is going to find himself feeling terrified and unmoored and completely unsure about who he is and what he'll do in a world in which voldemort is dead - and i suspect that his self-destruction would be extraordinary.
ron - alone of the trio - has the capacity to understand how sirius would end up in a place where "all was well" is more frightening to him than the potential of dying any minute. and he also has the capacity to provide an anchoring force through cups of tea and chit-chat which makes sirius think it might be possible to survive the day... and then the week... and then the month - which can then transition into him having the capacity to understand the big questions of guilt and grief and love and loyalty which define sirius' adult life.
so yes. i back it entirely.

twst canon divergences to fit my OC and OC x canon.
Content: random headcanons I have for Daisy (my Yuu) up until book 5; book 6 is so long it deserves its own post + I feel like I still need to figure out Daisy's role there. Everything is subject to change.
words: around 3k+ (I know but I promise I did my best to make this as short as I could)
🏷️: @viilpstick @justm3di0cr3
Prologue
- Daisy was brought to twst after wishing upon a star. More info about her background can be found out here.
- Daisy made the association that the star she made a wish to brought her there as soon as she had time to breathe. She tried wishing for it to send her back but to no avail.
- She didn't mind how ruined Ramshackle was, in fact, she saw its potential right away. Once she saw the ghosts she was super scared but she told Grim to not harm them, since they were living there first so technically Daisy and Grim were the intruders. She apologized and asked if she could stay for a while, the ghosts immediately loved her for this.
- Daisy got so compelled by Grim’s will to enroll on the school she told him she would do her best to support him and help him enroll while she was there. Grim got embarrassed by how supportive Daisy was but said he could use the help of a hench-human.
- Daisy didn't get along with Ace from the start, when he belittled Grim and her for not knowing about the Great Seven, Daisy told him in a stern tone that “it's pretty narrow minded to believe everyone should have the same information as you do. In my view, you're the dumb one.”
- When Ace and Deuce were fighting in the mines and Daisy tried to calm them down, Ace went as far as to mock her for being a “useless magicless girl”, which made her so upset she told them strictly to suck it up and work together, otherwise they would end up being expelled on the first day and as far as she knew that was the worst thing for a student, regardless of magic. This shocked them because so far Daisy had never seem so angry, they decided to finally listen and work together.
- Once they enrolled, along with the ghost camera, Crowley gave Daisy her uniform, making it up with magic – or whatever I haven't decided – so it would be different from every other dorm. He also gave her a dorm uniform so she would feel like a normal student.
Book 1
- Upon having her first dream, Daisy realizes The Great Seven are actually characters she's read in her fairy tales, but they're the villains of the story. She didn't say anything about it, thinking it was a dream to comfort her – because these stories were told to her by her parents when she was younger – in this dire situation and because maybe in this universe these people weren't the villains. She only mentions it in book 5 like in canon because that's when she actually starts getting worried these might somehow be premonitions.
- She let Ace stay and treated him with kindness, but he realized she was a bit uncomfortable with his presence, so, in his own way, Ace apologized for calling her useless, saying “your plan really helped that day. Thanks, I guess.” making Daisy super happy.
- Daisy felt scared of Riddle at first, not being able to speak nor look him in the eyes because he reminded her of her stepmother. But she really wanted to help Ace, seeing that Riddle's punishment was way too severe.
- Meeting Leona was the same as canon, but when Ruggie showed up him and Daisy had a deja vu moment – this is a reference to the fact that before Daisy was brought to twst, she and Ruggie had dreams almost every night about each other, but they don't remember who the person in their dreams were.
- During the incident where Deuce lost his temper, Daisy told him it was fine that he lost control for a moment, and it was admirable that he had such a great sense of justice. She told him she was proud of how much he loved his mother and that she wished she could be more like him, Ace and Grim, and fight for herself and what she thought was right. Deuce tells her that she already took the first step by inspiring both of them to get the mage stone.
- When Riddle rejected the tart, Daisy finally worked up the courage to speak, even if she was a bit awkward. She told him he would soon regret what he was doing, and that if he didn't change, he would end up exactly like her stepmother: a ruthless tyrant.
- Daisy was the one to suggest Ace fought for the housewarden position after they learn about it, supporting Ace and saying he could be a decent housewarden if he managed to win.
- During the overblot fight Daisy couldn't do much, she mostly distracted Riddle and managed to save Grim from an attack, but needed to be saved by Cater from another.
- Upon seeing Riddle's backstory, Daisy cried with him, saying how much he had suffered on his mother's hand and that she understood what he had gone through to some degree. Still, she tells him that he was wrong, and needed to apologize.
Book 2
- Daisy accepts to help Crowley not simply because of the small blackmail he does, but because she herself decides to fight for what her parents taught her was correct and the idea of someone hurting others for their personal gain goes 100% against those principles.
- The little game between HeartShackle and Savanaclaw is awful, they lose to Ruggie and Leona so fast, and Ruggie makes it his life mission to poke fun at Daisy specifically for not being able to use magic and for being unathletic.
- Once they all make the connection that it was Ruggie behind all the injuries and run after him, Daisy manages to catch up to him through a shortcut – or something like that idk – and pins him down (my attempt to make the famous Simba/Nala scene) ordering him to stop running like a coward and bring them back their magical pens; not only does Ruggie not comply, he switches the situation by pinning her down and stealing her earrings, saying it's her fault for getting into other people's business.
- Near the overblot Daisy gets visually worried for Ruggie, seeing how Leona speaks to him and hurts him; she learns about his desperation to succeed.
- During the overblot Daisy is considerably more helpful because she has been making extra potions – supervised by Crewel – just in case something happens and she needs to defend herself.
- After learning about Leona's past, and after playing the Spelldrive match, in the infirmary, Daisy is unsure if she should say anything to him, but once they're alone she manages to say she's in awe of how smart and cunning he is, and that he's incredible despite not agreeing with what he did. He tells her to get lost but she could see her words got through to him.
- By the end Daisy helps Ruggie with his arm despite his complains and tells him that despite their complicated beginning she was willing to see him in a new light. He told her he didn't care and just didn't want to be in debt with her, so she told him that she wasn't helping him to get something in return, but if she must she asked for her earrings back, as they belonged to her late mother and she loved them dearly.
- Bonus: Daisy kept helping Ruggie with his arm in between book 2 and 3, he didn't like it but she was so insistent on it he just let her do what she wanted to.
Book 3
- Along with Jack, Daisy also said how much she was disappointed with ADeuce + Grim for going as far as to do a contract with someone so shady and for not even thinking enough about the consequences.
- Daisy was scared of the tweels, but because she already dealt with two overblots and her friends were with her, she stood tall and did her best to not be intimidated by them.
- Daisy seriously tried to not mess around with Azul, but seeing Grim (and the others) suffer so much made her give up and follow the tweels to the Mostro Lounge, saying that she would just discuss with Azul and nothing else. Jack obviously came along and the others as well just like canon.
- When Azul proposed the idea of a contract with her, Daisy frowned and told him “I explicitly said I would not do any contracts with you. I do not think it is wise to do so.” but Azul managed to nudge her just the right way by reading her and understanding her empathetic nature. Basically, he told her that unless she truly wanted her friends to be free, he couldn't offer anything other than a contract. Daisy told Jack that she knew what she was doing was careless, but that she was with her hands tied, and so, she signed the contract.
- Daisy complained a lot when the tweels basically shoved Grim and Daisy out of Ramshackle, not backing away even when they tried to intimidate her, but unfortunately it was in vain. Daisy and Grim were shoved off of the dorm with a few pieces of clothing and essentials they were able to pack.
- Daisy didn't mind sleeping in a cramped space in Heartslabyul, but she was scared of being a bother, so she went with Jack to Savanaclaw. The only reason Leona even let her stay was because Ruggie told Leona his arm was still hurting and he couldn't do all the chores by himself, – a lie – so Daisy could help out. She agreed because she was already used to cleaning and catering to people's needs, so, Leona begrudgingly let her stay as long as she kept quiet and helped out while she was there. When she tried thanking Ruggie for helping convince Leona he said he was doing that to pay his debt with her for helping him heal his arm, nothing more.
- Most things happen close to canon throughout the story, but we get more time with Daisy at Savanaclaw, seeing her helping clean the dorm when she has time, which makes her get very close to Ruggie. She ends up developing a crush when she learns more about his personality and past, hearing him fondly talking about his grandmother. Ruggie also slowly starts liking her, but he denies it to himself for a while.
- Until the overblot fight, everything is close to canon. Daisy comes back from the museum with the photo to find an Azul who overblotted. Throughout the fight, Daisy is seen visibility tired and slower than usual, having trouble protecting herself, needing ADeuce and the other boys to help her out so she wouldn't get hurt.
- Upon seeing Azul’s story, Daisy tells Azul she thinks he was actually super cute as a child – which he HATES like he screams bc she saw him as a kid in the photo – and that she gets him in a way, having image problems herself. This is the first we hear about Daisy’s insecurities with her appearance. She tells him she's also super surprised with how hard he worked and how hardworking he is.
- After the fight and her small talk with Azul, Daisy basically passes out – she stayed awake all night trying to get Leona to help her out, plus she was super tired from all the cleaning around Savanaclaw and trying to get the photo. Ace is able to catch her before she hit the ground, and tells Deuce and Grim they should get her to the infirmary, but instead, Ruggie tells them that was his job since part of the reason that Daisy was so tired was because of him, so he would take her to the infirmary himself.
- There's a bonus scene not in canon, in which Ruggie and Daisy have a conversation in the infirmary. She thanks him for helping her out with Azul and for taking her there, and she also apologizes for being a bother all of these days. Ruggie says she wasn't a bother in the least, and that having her around Savanaclaw was actually great and that he looked forward to see her in the morning everyday; he told her he expected to see more of her around the school.
- When following Azul and the tweels to the museum to return the photo, Daisy once again expressed her admiration to how hardworking he was, and told him she would be delighted in doing business with him again, as long as it didn't involve any taking of her house. Azul laughed at that.
- Bonus, in between book 3 and 4: I actually don't remember how long it is between the two books, but regardless I'm making up more time for Daisy and Ruggie to interact. They become closer during this period and Ruggie starts doing very minor favors for Daisy and giving her pumpkin flavored desserts to show his affection in a way where he won't need to actually say he likes her with his words. Soon enough Daisy notices this and asks him on a date.
Book 4
- I think the beginning of the book is very close to canon, in fact I don't think there's much canon divergence in this book. Daisy makes sure not only to get ADeuce’s number but to also get Ruggie’s number, she also tells him to say hi to his grandma for her.
- Daisy and Kalim hit it off like immediately. They are people who are naturally kind and empathetic, seeing someone like Kalim was a breath of fresh air and within just the few minutes she starts considering him someone very dear to her, they have instant chemistry. All the more reason for, when he starts acting weirdly, Daisy gets really worried and urges Jamil that they should get help, but instead chaos ensues and like canon they get stuck at Scarabia.
- Daisy gets visibly worried about Kalim throughout the book and tries talking to him when he’s his normal self, he tells her that he genuinely doesn't know what's going on, and before she can dig deeper Jamil always intervenes, making her wonder if perhaps he knows something about the issue, remembering the instances where she did stuff against her will near him.
- I didn't mention my other ocs until now bc I want to make a separate post about their own canon divergences on their specific books, but I will mention that Damali helps Grim and Daisy escape and leads them to the treasury, gifting them the carpet under the condition to give it back (and she slightly threatens them if they don't give the carpet back). So they escape and meet the octatrio.
- Since Azul and Daisy are in better terms and they both have a soft spot for each other (Azul will NEVER admit this tho) Azul decided to help, but obviously he also uses the excuse in game, it's Azul we’re talking about even if he has a soft spot there must be something in it for him. It's kinda funny to see this princess-like character walking around with these mafia coded characters.
- Basically everything happens pretty similarly to canon, but Daisy helps Azul making up their plans, as I want to lean into the fact that Daisy is a “Trickster” as Rook says, meaning she's good at planning and outsmarting others. I'm unsure of what she makes up by herself, but I don't want to leave all the planning to Azul because the whole purpose of this is to make Daisy/Yuu a more proactive character.
- Throughout this book Daisy is not scared at all from the tweels. If before she was forcing herself to not be scared, now she’s just plainly not scared at all. After everything that went down in book 3 and now their alliance in book 4 she grew accustomed to their presence and even finds them kinda funny. Azul is worried.
- Daisy gets super defensive over Kalim, basically standing in front of him protectively when Jamil is spilling all his feelings and intentions — not that it matters much, but it shows how much she cares for Kalim. When they're sent away Daisy is super angry, nearly as angry as in the prologue with ADeuce and tells Kalim straight away that Jamil is a jerk. She tells him that she herself believes in forgiveness and second chances — since her parents taught her this — but told him that until Jamil apologizes Kalim has all the right to be upset, and that he should at least get his dorm back.
- Because Daisy is very sympathetic and forgives easily, she quickly decides to accept Jamil as he is, being happy that Kalim is with him. But she still defends Kalim from every single insult Jamil gave him.
- Later at the small party thingy in the Oasis, Daisy apologizes for being so harsh on Jamil, but still tells him he deserved it in a way. She says she understands him to a degree, being treated as a servant by her stepmother and never being able to do what she wishes because of that. Daisy says she hopes that he’s able to be free and that she's looking forward to meeting the true Jamil from now on. He says she's being stupid and way too trusting and Daisy just nods, saying that yes, maybe she is, but she doesn't mind.
- Not only the ADeuce duo show up but Ruggie does as well, since she sent him a message too. He used his money to get there and gets upset when Daisy says everything’s fine now, he tells her to never scare him again and mumbles about having wasted money, Daisy offers to pay up but he declines, until Kalim hears the convo and offers to pay, Daisy tries to say no but Ruggie says yes and Kalim insists, so she kinda gives up.
Book 5
- Daisy doesn't sign up for the VDC, saying that while she is interested in singing she wanted to rest and have a breather from all the stuff that she's been doing, but she still accompanies Jamil and Kalim and they — and by they I mean Jamil — teach ADeuce + Grim how to dance.
- Daisy knew Ruggie would be trying for the VDC, having offered a few singing lessons to him before so he at least had more of a decent understanding of singing, even if very basic. The ADeuce duo asks for lessons too but Ruggie laughs at them and tells them it's “boyfriend privileges”, this being the first time Ruggie had referred to himself as her boyfriend (even though both of them knew that), this makes Daisy so happy she agrees with Ruggie and doesn't share her singing lessons with them.
- Daisy didn't like how Vil bossed Epel around, but after their first encounter her and Vil actually got along pretty well, him being surprised she accompanied ADeuce + Grim to the auditions. Daisy is obviously not casted, since she didn't audition, but one day before the results Daisy caught Epel failing while singing and offered to help, showing him her own singing abilities; Rook was nearby and heard her, talking about her voice with Vil and convincing him to include her in the group.
- Throughout the book Daisy seems to be having a pretty easy time with maintaining Vil’s routine, even finding joy in it. Vil noticed how she had a very good posture, moved graciously while dancing and didn't had trouble adapting to her diet. He once asked about all this and she shared that before her parents died and her stepmother took over her home, they had quite a good amount of money and put her in ballet, singing and etiquette lessons at a young age.
- Daisy has a problem that is brought up in this book and calls back to book 3: she's insecure about her appearance. Everytime the topic of beauty is brought up Daisy seems quite uncomfortable and avoids eye contact, she also has trouble following the skin care routine because she thinks she's not worthy of using the products. She has two important conversations with different characters: one with Epel, where he complains about how he hated that Vil wanted him to act all princely because of his appearance, and while Daisy agrees that Vil seems too much she tells him she kind of wishes she had a Vil around in her own world to tell her what he thought of her looks and what she could do to get better; another with Rook and Kalim, where Daisy basically opens up about her insecurities, telling them she didn't believe she was beautiful, and both of them telling her quite the opposite, Kalim specifically being by her side and helping her understand she should feel confident in her own skin; and another very small one with Vil, when he scolds her for letting the words of others (her stepmother) affect her and saying that if she truly was insecure, she must use it as a weapon and not a way to run from her fears.
- Daisy helps Kalim understand that his problems are valid, scolding Grim when he said Kalim didn't have the right to complain. She tells him that he has all the right to feel upset for not getting the lead and that he should aspire to get even better, after all, Jamil wouldn't want to win against an already defeated opponent.
- Daisy offers to teach Deuce and Epel ballet. She takes the opportunity to explain to them how there were boys who liked ballet when she was little and that they really shouldn't be ashamed of practicing it.
- Daisy scolds Ace a lot once he and Deuce fight, being worried sick until she can finally see Epel and Deuce again. She tells him he was a jerk and there's a gag where she turns her face away from him for like a day because of what he did, but they get over it.
- Daisy admits she finds Neige very pretty and she feels very drawn to his personality, his smile seeming comforting to her and she even wonders if everyone in RSA is like Neige.
- Basically everything else happens like canon with very minor divergences that I don't think are worthy of being mentioned. When Vil tried to poison Neige though, Daisy was there alongside Kalim, the boy telling her — since they grew close — that Vil seemed to have a worrying expression and her agreeing to have seen the same on Jamil.
- Overblot happens like in canon with minor changes in the fight. After it and it's revealed that her and Malleus are friends and that she calls him “tsunotaro”, she doesn't really get surprised by his title as Malleus Draconia, instead smiling at him and saying “to me you're the same old Tsunotaro”.
- When everything is done and they lose, Daisy takes a time to get to talk with Vil in private and tells him that despite the overblot and how he feels about Neige and his roles, she still finds him enchantingly beautiful, and she tells him that he truly was like a hero to her, helping her understand the value in her appearance.
