i never knew this before

i just know for a fact that charles has a tragic, chronic giggler disease in bed. like, yes of course, crying during sex beautiful and true, but have we ever considered him smiling so widely that they literally cannot proceed with anything, because edwin keeps asking him "what made you laugh this time? what is so hilarious?", and charles needs to duck his head because how can he explain that he's incandescently happy and it's not going away. "sorry we can't kiss, i can't control my joy long enough to relax my mouth. oops." and he's like "okay, okay, i got this, for reals this time"; it takes edwin palming both of his cheeks to pull charles in and charles just. grins. again. teeth clinking in the middle. he would be mortified if this was anyone else or if edwin decided that's enough and maybe we should play cluedo instead.

he's doing neither, because edwin's a good person like that. he finds a way to tickle him along the sides so that charles has a reason to have a chuckling fit at least.

and it must have been a complete shock to edwin too. if he dared to imagine it at all, he never would've guessed intimate relations could be so... freeing. that you can laugh yourself to tears and still keep going, that your lover can have such a wonderful time exploring everything unknown about you that he's glowing inside and out. from what he's gathered, sex is supposed to bring a certain level of seriousness and it's like, the exact opposite with charles— frankly, it's just more of charles, everything about him distilled and intensified, his normally warming smiles are blinding now, the way his limbs move thrice as graceful as when he's on a case. you know edwin has a list of favourite charles sounds, and somewhere near the top lands the breathy, unabashedly happy huff which morphs into a quiet moan by the end. he loves it. he'd be lacking without it. edwin is the luckiest ghost on earth, it seems.

Guys, tomorrow I get to see my girlfriend in person again after 8 months of long-distance-

I’m also meeting both of her parents and her older sister for the first time, which is very nerve wracking.

I’m feeling lots of feelings, but the loudest one is I-can’t-believe-I-get-to-hold-you-again :’)

Me: I'm going to schedule my top surgery for April, that way I can get the bulk of my recovery out of the way before fire season really kicks off.

Southern California is on fire

In 2024, L.A. Mayor Karen Bass defunded the LA Fire Department by $17.3 million.

The LA Police Department, however, got a $138 million budget increase.

Among the firefighters, 30% of them are inmate firefighters who are risking their lives for $2 an hour. Only for them to not be able to get a job as a firefighter once they're released.

There are now 4 fires burning across Socal. The one getting the most attention is the Palisades fire which has grown to over 11,000 acres. Alongside it is the Altadena fire (over 10,000 acres), Hurst fire (700 acres), and Lidia fire (50 acres).

Due to the unprecedented Santa Ana winds, which have blown to over 100 mph, firefighters have not been able to make a dent on these fires.

A thousand homes have been destroyed. Two people lost their lives from the Altadena fires.

Instead of showing sympathy for the thousands of victims, right wing conspiracy theorists on twitter are blaming the fires on LA Fire Chief, who is a lesbian, while Trump is blaming CA Governor Gavin Newsom for not removing water from a delta that would have endangered a native species.

Not climate change. Not the Resnicks, a billionaire couple who took control of California's water supply and now use over 150 billion gallons every year for their companies.

If you're in Southern California, please download the Watch Duty app. It brings up to date information on the fires along with evacuation zones. If officials tell you to evacuate, you do it. Make sure you look up shelters and mutual aid organizations where you'll evacuate to. If you have to abandon your car, please move it to the side or leave your keys in the car so firefighters can move it out of the way.

The consequences of this disaster will be catastrophic. It's become increasingly clear that our government officials will not protect us as they would rather fill their own pockets. Stick together. Protect your community as best as you can.

Please keep Southern California in your thoughts. We're going to need them.

executive dysfunction for adhd genuinely sucks esp when it's dysfunction that comes like. after experiencing autistic burnout. it's like i've poured out all of the brain juice from my brain, and i just sit here and i can feel the liquid slowly filling again, but there's not enough for me to pour yet

so i'm just sitting here. day after day. FEELING the liquid accumulate in tiny little drips of creativity and desire to work, and just staring furiously into space, because none of it's enough to pour INTO anything

Don't mind me, just chewing on wallpaper as I think about how Will and Hannibal would cope in the face of the other's genuine softness towards each other. Will has only ever felt the sharp end of Hannibal's love, so he's wary, like a dog that's been beaten too many times to trust a kind hand. But he can't help but be drawn back.

Hannibal is questioning if Will is manipulating him. Are Will's feelings real, or are they a pretty lie that can be used to gut him one day? Something for Will to take away later? A part of him doesn't even care. It doesn't matter, so long as Will doesn't leave.

What if he hurts me again?

What if I hurt him again?

They ask themselves both questions, and their growing intimacy is watered with their tears at each new threshold.

Okay, guys. I have a question.

I'm an artist as well as a poet- it's actually what I'm going to school for right now (currently, because who knows). I'd really love to share my art on Tumblr (some of it is fandom stuff for myself, some of it is figure work), but I want to know: would you prefer I post it on this blog, my personal blog @alex-bumble-bee, or create a different blog (two-bees-art or something)?
